The burgers were exceptionally good! The service was very friendly, and everything was very pleasant and clean.

Lovely place to sit and eat. Fries are delicious there. In 6 weeks back to Ameland and definitely also stop by the mayor.

One of our favorite restaurants from before, often eaten there. New concept but trying it once was not a success, lukewarm soup with a small piece of torn off bread, a dry bun on the hamburger. And all that quite expensive. Also the contact with service is gone. Conclusion, not to be repeated.

Nice and friendly service. Drinks were delivered promptly, and the food didn't take long to arrive either! Definitely a recommendation for burger fans 👍 We were all happy with our burgers. Really tasty and generous portions. That's to be expected given the prices, which are quite high!

My burger was raw on the inside. That was pretty shocking. I only noticed it was cold when I first noticed it. And then it was raw in the middle. Of course, I complained immediately. The waitress tried her best and apologized. But that shouldn't happen, especially since it wasn't busy. And another meal was also cold. So, quality-wise, it failed me!

The vegetarian salad contained nuts roasted in bacon. This should have been clearly declared. There was no information here that the nuts were nuts and that they were also part of the salad. The salad "dressing" wasn't tasty for our taste. Tasted somewhat like truffle mayonnaise. Only upon request were missing ingredients brought from the menu. The burger was okay, but the salad wasn't particularly tasty either. We definitely won't be back. It's a shame Neighbours is no longer there!

A buffet for €34.50 featuring burger patties, spare ribs, and dry meat skewers. Side dishes included fries, dry bread, and a bit of tomato and cucumber. The reservation and website didn't mention that it was only a buffet, and the waitstaff were clueless.

We had a quick bite to eat here for lunch. The service was very friendly! I would have liked the food to have had a bit more quality for this price. The chicken in the chicken satay tasted quite cheap and the kroepoek was not crispy but a bit soggy. If you are looking for a quick bite then it is fine!

Delicious food, lamb and salmon. Service very attentive. Where can you find a restaurant where the chef discusses a sulphite-free diet with you in advance with one of the guests and implements it down to the last detail. Until next time. Neighbors has become Burgermeesters. The appearance (outside) has been given a new look. You gotta love that. The inside is pretty much the same. The menu choices have changed, many burgers with fun names. But spare ribs are also still on the menu. What has remained is the casual atmosphere, very pleasant service and, above all, delicious food! The Amelander lamb burger tasted delicious. Special smaller minutes can be ordered for the little ones. Here you can enjoy good food for a very affordable price. Price/quality ratio is very good. Dinner for two people: 2 x lamb burgers, 2 x white wine and two non-alcoholic beers for less than €60. Will we come again? Of course.

Nice to try a 'new' restaurant. The reviews that Google shows from recent years are of the old restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not find the experience we had at this new restaurant positive enough to come back more often. Takes a long time: The wait for the main course is very long, according to the waiter this was due to the bread basket we had ordered. This was considered an official appetizer, so it had to be finished before they could even continue working on our order. While a sandwich basket is intended for waiting with small children. I understand if everyone ordered a starter separately, but with small children this was really not nice. Expectations of the food: not everything we ordered met the expectations we received from the text on the menu. Toilets dirty: Toilet room was very dirty, even though the restaurant had just opened. There was clearly no cleaning done and nothing replenished. Pricey: For what we spent that evening, there are better restaurants on Ameland. The burger was too dry and bland for my taste, a delicious sauce would have helped. When the waitress asked how it tasted, he laughed at the comment and left. The children's burger pattis were still very raw. The waiting time for the food was quite long at over 45 minutes, especially with two children. We weren't even asked if we would like anything else to drink. It's a shame we won't be coming back.

Waited 45 minutes for food even though there wasn't much going on. Unfortunately no attention was paid to the drinks, empty bottles were cleared away but there was no question as to whether we wanted to order something else to drink. The burgers were: went like this. The children didn't like it either. It's a shame an alternative would have been...

Portion could be a bit bigger compared to satay. And make the salad better in quality. Or not next to it at all.

The hamburger wasn't that tasty. The meatball was way too thick and very heavily seasoned. The sole tasted very good. The service was very nice and the atmosphere was very cozy.

Nice Leffe blonde on tap is already a good start. You can prepare steak tartare yourself and that is also important, then kebab with good Lebanese bread and creamy spiced bulghur.

Nothing to complain about. Delicious food for reasonable prices. Neighbors is an attractive and cozy restaurant. The service was smooth and the staff very nice. Even time for a chat. Definitely worth a second visit!

The four of us each had a platter for 2 people: one fish (large, juicy gambas tikka style, fish fillet, salmon fillet) one meat (some chicken wings, large piece of tender spare ribs; steak, meat skewer) "for tasting" as it is on the Card was called. Overall, a dream because everyone gets their money's worth - delicious! Krupuk, fries, mayo, sauces and 2 large, fresh salads were included. The service was quick and friendly. A lovely evening!

Delicious dinner, including the shared meat platter, trimmings, chicken piripiri. Excellent red wine. The grand desert is also recommended. The service was top notch and price/quality are in balance. Highly recommended!

First order was misunderstood, OK that can happen. Then the fries and salad were missing from my spare ribs, but they came when I asked. No apology nothing. After the meal we were told twice that we wanted to pay. Then you go to the counter to pay. It's a shame, but we won't go there anymore

Everything was great, service, food and ambience

Bad customer service and rip off. Overpriced for what you get. If 4 people order dishes with a side dish for over €25, you can expect that everyone will get a side dish if it is even mentioned on the menu. However, only a small bowl of fries was served like from a chip shop and everyone then had to pay extra for their side dish. Condition was mega rude and overwhelmed. We didn't even get menus after 20 minutes.

Super bad! At 8:45 p.m. I was directed from the restaurant to the snack bar next door. Waited there for almost 25 minutes for the order for 2 people (other guests only wanted ice cream) and then a lot of things were wrong with the order... cutlery and serving items were also missing. Given the high price: never again!

Don't pay too much attention to the outside, because that won't make you overly happy. The interior, on the other hand, is beautiful! Industrial, with steel, plates, etc. and the layout is very spacious with beautiful tables and chairs, but you can also sit in lazy chairs. We were here while kicking and eating (recommended on Ameland!) for the main course. Most people chose the spare ribs and we were not disappointed: very tasty ribs, not too few, and delicious Flemish fries!

BBQ, little choice. Simple recipes. Choice between meat and fish is actually prawns or meat. Satay was undercooked. Certainly not worth the 28.50 euros that was asked. What a mockery.

After a day full of exercise and burning the necessary calories, I thought it was an excellent plan to stop by Neighbors for something tasty😊 A delicious real beef burger with fries and sauces and to finish a delicious Chocolate Sundae. Delicious! As described earlier, the atmosphere here is cozy, beautifully clean, spacious and very nice employees who also have an eye and ear for single people. Cheers!! See you in July 😎

Went there with my parents today. They were very enthusiastic about the location. I come there once or twice a year and think it's really nice there. There were four of us there and three of our meals were great... but mine was just too spicy. Unfortunately it wasn't on the menu otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it at all. Despite the fact that I complained about it in the meantime, it was only passed on to the kitchen but nothing else. I left over half of it back and ate my fill of the leftovers from my mother's schnitzel... what a shame

It was a pleasure to dine at this charming restaurant. From the moment we entered we were greeted by a warm atmosphere and a welcoming vibe. Our choice for the meat platter for four was an absolute triumph. Every piece of meat was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, a true delight for the senses. As far as service is concerned, we were impressed by the attentive and friendly service. Even our two children were warmly welcomed and entertained, so that we as parents were able to really enjoy our food. The restaurant's decor was sophisticated and stylish, which added to the overall mood of the evening. The combination of excellent food, attentive service and cozy atmosphere makes this restaurant an absolute insider tip for anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. We're already looking forward to our next one

Food wasn't worth the money. Rips very fatty. Schnitzel tasted like fried potatoes. Bowls had no taste. Very sticky rice. The Vitello Tonnate was made with cooked ham rather than veal. The sauce for the vitello was good, unfortunately just not enough. Unfortunately, the beer we ordered didn't arrive at the table. In the holiday week for the amount we paid, the worst result.

Subterranean quality of the food. A pity. If you want to challenge your stomach's ability to suffer, you should definitely reserve a table here.

Kleines, schickes Restaurant mit tollem Service und schönem Ambiente. Ameländer Lamm Duett und das Ameländer Zuckerbrot sind sehr zu empfehlen.

Zeker de moeite waard om hier eens te gaan eten! Het eten is heerlijk, vooral de mosterdsoep en zalm! Personeel is zeer vriendelijk

Gezellig restaurant. Vriendelijke nederlandse bediening (fijn geen engels!!!!!!). We hebben erg lekker gegeten (pokebowl & ravioli).

Bediening meer dan vriendelijk, anticiperend. Hoofdgerechten (we hebben niets anders geprobeerd) voortreffelijk bereid. Och, wat was het lekker! Twee keer hier geweest, eerste keer durfden we het lamsvlees niet aan (dat wordt in zoveel restaurants zo slecht bereid), maar na eerste keer met andere gerechten die zo lekker waren de tweede keer wel aan het lamsvlees: verrukkelijk!

Wat een rustgevende sfeer straalt dit restaurant uit. We hadden niet gereserveerd, maar gelukkig hadden ze nog een plekje voor 3. Dat we eenmaal ons eten hadden, kwam er niemand meer aan ons vragen of alles nog naar wens was. Dat we eenmaal aandacht kregen, waren we dan ook uitgegeten. We mochten wel nog de overige nacho's mee naar huis. De porties zijn heel erg groot en de sparibs zijn zeker een aanrader! We hebben echt heerlijk gegeten!

Voor het eerst gegeten hier en absoluut niet teleurgesteld. Heerlijk, betaalbaar, service, fijne sfeer en goede ervaring. Menukaart bevat voor ieder wat wils, service van personeel aan tafel is fijn. Geen lange wachttijden. De keuken had zeer goed hun best gedaan. Komen zeker nog een keer terug.

Neighbours heeft een leuke en mooie inrichting en het terras ziet er gezellig uit,altijd leuk om vakantie gangers voorbij zien fietsen of rijden met auto of bus.

Serveerster te aanwezig wel vriendelijk overigens. Eten zag er goed uit, smaak was wel iets te zout.

Sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Freundlicher Service der immer gleich gesehen hat wenn etwas gefehlt hat. Meine Tochter war vom Kindergericht begeistert, wie meine Frau auch vom Falafel. Mein Sohn und ich können die Spare Ribs weiterempfehlen, die besten auf der Insel. Top, weiter so.

Wat een super leuk restaurant! We hadden hier het hoofdmenu van het concept happen en trappen op Ameland. Erg mooi sfeervol terras. Binnen ook prachtig ingericht. Leuke bediening en het eten was super lekker. De cocktails zijn een aanrader!

Tolle, selbst geräucherte Fleisch- und Fischgerichte in angenehmen Ambiente. Die Spareribs waren ein Traum.

Leuke tent met lekker eten en vriendelijk personeel! De poke bowl was heerlijk en de rib-eye met rode wijnsaus was ook heerlijk.

hier heerlijk gegeten. lekker dichtbij de camping😎 ruime eetzaal dus je zit niet samen met de andere gasten op een kluitje. zouden we langer op het eiland blijven gingen we zeker vaker hier eten . hele vriendelijke bediening zonder opdringerig aanwezig zijn .

Es ist und bleibt eins meiner Lieblingsrestaurants auf der Insel. Wunderschön eingerichtet, super liebes Personal und einfach richtig gutes Essen. Sowohl Burger Mittags als auch meine Lieblingswahl der Spareribs am Abend, sind einfach gut. Danke!

War ein schöner Abend mit der Familie das essen war sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich hier zu essen kann ich nur jedem empfehlen^^

Eten was lekker, maar de ervaring was mèh. Mocht even duren voordat we geholpen werden en een plaats kregen toegewezen. Zonder de vraag te krijgen of we liever buiten of binnen zaten. Bediening stond af en toe stil, en toch duurde het dan nog zo lang voordat er dranken en eten opgenomen werd. Voorgerecht duurde bijna een half uur voordat het op de tafel stond, hoofdgerecht was er gelukkig wel sneller. Het eten was wel erg lekker, moet wel zeggen dat het relatief grote porties waren. Als we dat hadden geweten dan hadden we niks vooraf bestelt, want we kregen het helaas niet op.

Super Burger 🍔 schönes Lokal und sehr aufmerksames Personal. Würde ich immer empfehlen. Besonders wenn die Empfehlung des Küchenchefs kommt. Fleisch oder Fisch Plank auch zu empfehlen bei großem Hunger für 1 Person reicht auch für 2. Immer gerne wieder.

Neighbours is een leuke tent met goede gerechten waar je zeker niet met honger de deur uit gaat. Grote porties dus redelijk geprijsd.

Schön eingerichtet, großer Außenbereich, freundliche Bedienung, nicht zu große Auswahl an Speisen, was aber nicht negativ ist, der Preis für die Speisen ist nicht günstig, aber entspricht dem Preisspiegel auf der Insel. Das Essen war gut und kam auch zügig, gerne wieder.
