When I first tried to reserve a table for dinner, I was asked if we had any allergies. 1. Plus point: it shows me that they really care about their guests! 2. Plus point: here's the food itself: the duck with Nescafe: I've eaten this poultry many times, but never like this! Try it for yourself! The orange sauce combined with the gravy, the vegetables, and the delicious island mustard, absolutely top-notch. 3. The burger with cheese was a huge portion and very, very tasty. 4. Plus point: the well-chilled food, 5. the attentive and friendly staff served it promptly, and 6. a comfortable table was ready on time. So we decided to go back and weren't disappointed! Is this really Michelin-starred cuisine?

I thought €9.50 for an Aperol Spritz was a lot. But prices are high everywhere on the island.

Bad experience – not to be repeated Our visit to this restaurant on Ameland was downright disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for our food, because it turned out that our order had not even come through. Because of this, we almost missed our boat back to the mainland, which was very stressful. The staff was also clearly grumpy and not at all hospitable. In short: a complete no-go. There are plenty of other places on Ameland where you will be helped well and friendly – ​​this was a waste of our time and money.

The worst steak tartare I’ve ever had. Sent it back 😬 which I hate doing. Didn’t opt for a new one as it was grey and solid and just looked like they were trying to cover it up, so seems the kitchen doesnt know how. Burger was fine, beer menu is impressive and nice, the Dark and Stormy drink was made with ginger ale for sure and very bad. More of a place to come for borrel I think. Nice outdoor patio and kind service staff.

Favorite place on the island, we always wonder where the owners get their qualified and dynamic staff from.....simply exemplary and the shop has been there for two decades.

First of all, Fun wordplay on the name of the town. To be honest, the reason we picked it was this. Service was good. Drinks came fast and they had local beers as well as a good selection of drinks. We had the loaded fries and they were ok. There are quite a few options in the town however we decided to go for this based on the name

In the centre of Nes with a large terrace it is nice to stay. Is there Korenwijn? A little later a glass of Korenwijn is poured from a pitcher with ice on it to the brim. Where else can you find that? The portion of Italian stone oven bread is a bit big for the two of us, but deliciously crispy. The carpaccio as a starter is generously sized and of excellent quality and very tasty. My partner's lactose intolerance has been perfectly taken into account. The prawns as a main course are deliciously spicy, but they are swimming in liquid. Cosy location and friendly and professional service.

Good coffee. But these days you don't always get sugar and milk with it. You have to specify this when ordering.

Very good food, the only downside was the slightly blue eggs with the asparagus.

Nice (sunny) place for a good cup of coffee.

Perfect for a small meal, a snack or a delicious drink in a great atmosphere. There are pleasant seating areas in the café and outdoor area to linger. The staff were extremely friendly, so it wasn't a problem that we waited a little longer for our drinks. The great weather was certainly one reason for this.

The atmosphere and staff at Nes Cafe are always top notch. This time we ordered a trippel beer from the tap on the terrace and asked the tall, helpful young waiter an impossible question about how we could verify whether this was actually a trippel. Without batting an eyelid, he indicated that he wanted to think about it for a moment. After 5 minutes he came back with the answer: "by tasting sir". Touche.

The café also offers nice and heated places to sit outside in winter. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the order - staff were probably unavailable. I can't judge whether that's always the case.

Not a great place. Had to wait more than an hour and a half for the main course. Complaint to waiter. He reported that it would take another 8 minutes, in other words the kitchen had yet to start. It took twice as long. We still wanted an espresso and capuccino, but only if it was offered for free because we had had to wait so long. The waiter didn't care and so we paid immediately. Dear readers, take your time when you eat at Nescafe, the food is good, but the kitchen cannot handle the many tables,' So not recommended.

We sat there every evening last week. Good and fast service, very attentive. Especially the blonde lady who was there almost every day in the evening. Lunch was also good, but it took quite a while.

Nes Café, a household name in Nes for years. This time for four of us cheese fondue plus appendices. Didn't feel like cucumber, so it was replaced by apple upon request 🍏 (also delicious in fondue). Coffee, Nobeltje, ice cream. Super cozy. Excellent service. Can't think of anything negative.

We have been coming to Ameland for 9 years now and have always found the catering industry here to be above average. Yet Nescafe manages to stand out every year! The hospitality, the atmosphere and the delicious food make it a pleasure to return here every time. We are always welcomed at our regular spot, the high table near the bar, and every year we are surprised by the personal attention we receive. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the island. A very nice cafe located in the heart of Neff. An inviting and cozy atmosphere invites you to linger. There is something for every taste here and presented in an appealing way. Whether in the morning or in the evening, the right drinks can be found on the menu. The service staff is attentive and courteous. Friendliness is one of the basic concepts here. All in all, I would come here again every time, even several times a day.

Perhaps the nicest restaurant in Ameland. Extremely delicious food, always friendly staff, nice and warm atmosphere and all of this very affordable. A place we always return to when we are on the island!

Just been there Very bad thing. Raised my hand 10 times in 10 minutes. Everyone was helped except us. Staff just sit at people's tables instead of doing their work. Very unfortunate, would have liked a 2nd round.

The bartender is a living legend. You rarely see people so friendly and helpful! He also made time for a chat during the 'busy time' and had no difficulty in providing additional explanation or choice advice. We really enjoyed the evening in a lovely spot on the terrace under nice heaters. Only good words for this beautiful and cozy cafe!

Mega cool cafe. The service was extremely friendly and the food was great. Would go there again and again. The prices were totally fine and fair. The toilets were very clean and the café itself was very nicely decorated. Definitely worth a visit.

What a grumpy girl in the service. A smile wouldn't go amiss. Laughter is free. If you don't feel like working, don't do it, because this really put the mood down.

The waitress couldn't help but smile. We were frozen and wanted to warm up with tea before the wine and beer. But she didn't want to press the kettle button anymore because it was apparently too late for tea. Who decides… them or the customer?

We ate again at Nes Café It was fantastic, nothing was too much, I asked several times whether my food was gluten-free and what exactly I could eat, I was listened to carefully. It resulted in a delicious skewer with BBQ sauce and gluten-free fries, all made separately, really great!

Even if it is full, you will be served quickly. What you ordered also comes quickly. But be careful. When it comes to drinks, always ask in advance what the price will be. There was no drinks menu and when we paid we were a bit surprised at what we had to pay.

Ordered N Chouffe. Get one glass with 2 fingers of beer & 4 fingers of foam. Because I get it differently elsewhere, I tried to get the attention of the staff, but when this didn't work I went inside. The older bartender responded gruffly and bluntly said it was up to the mark. I don't easily give a negative review, but the respect for the paying customer was hard to find.

Well, yeah… it wasn't a very good evening for us. Three things went wrong. Let me sum it up for you: - We waited 40 minutes for our cocktails because they weren't ready. We then indicated this and they were quickly contacted. Then they were brought, but it took a very long time because the waitress was talking to acquaintances with our drinks on the tray. - Then we got our main courses. Both with fries and a sauce, we thought. Only then suddenly 1 bowl of fries with only curry. My mayo was nowhere to be seen. I then indicated that I should have some mayo with it. Then they took it for one euro! Nice then. - After this we ordered chocolate milk and coffee, both with whipped cream. It was delivered and I was missing whipped cream again! Fantastic! - Oh, by the way, we weren't asked in between if everything was to your liking. Had a nice evening, didn't you? 1 deserved star.

Very nice little cafe/bistro. We were served very friendly and the burger was very tasty.

It's good to sit and watch what's going on on the shopping street. Unfortunately, everything on the menu is only in Dutch and many of the employees don't speak German, which is a shame. But the milk coffee tastes very good and the price of 4 euros is right.

I recently visited Café Nes-Ameland on the beautiful island of Ameland. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere. The café felt like a warm living room, and the friendly staff greeted me warmly. I decided to order a meal and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, but here's the sticking point: the portions were on the small side. For the price I paid, I expected more. It is a pity that the price-quality ratio was not quite in balance. All in all, Café Nes-Ameland is a place where you can enjoy friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. If they can adjust the prices and portions it would be an absolute must. 🍽️💰

A great atmosphere. We ate burgers and they were delicious. A real recommendation for anyone who prefers great burgers.

The food was very good and the service was very friendly.

Good menu (one of the few places on the island where you can order brown bread!) and nice atmosphere, but the service could be better. We wanted to order an early lunch because we had to take the boat, but we were not allowed to see the menu at 11.55 am, which was only possible from 12 noon. Other people who came in later received the menu immediately and were also allowed to order before us. In the end we had to wait more than half an hour for our sandwich (and get our own cutlery and napkins) and hurry to get away on time. That did detract from the experience and the otherwise nice place and good food.

Had dinner there tonight with my wife, the service and food and the terrace were neat, good choice in terms of music and allergies were well taken into account.

We arrived a little later in the evening when the outside terrace was about to close, to drink a few specialty beers before going to the light buoy. (disco nearby) Very nice staff, good beer on tap and plenty of choice. The waitress told us that they had been working on a new beer list for a while. She said it will be a little smaller, but tastier special beers! When the menu is updated I will definitely visit again. Beer for everyone! Nes Café also had very clean toilets and a nice interior. Nice outdoor terrace with heaters and fires.

You have to pay for each beer immediately. Extremely unwelcoming and distrustful of your guests.

Great place to have lunch after arriving by boat. Enjoy sitting outside on the terrace where you can sit well protected from the sun. The food was okay, I had some fries with stew which was very wet, there was a layer of moisture/fat at the bottom of my basket, so that was a bit less. My party's food, on the other hand, looked and tasted great.
