Very stingy with toppings. Cold food and the person working there is rudely lazy. Don't order here!

Received pizza with meat multiple times instead of vegan pizza. Refund promised in January 2026. After literally three months of calling every week, I still haven't received a refund. Eventually, I gave up.

UPDATE 2026 It has gone downhill significantly, wrong crusts etc etc. Filed a complaint and then they tell me that if I want compensation, I have to indicate that MYSELF!!! I placed an order via Thuisbezorgd. The branch closes at 11:00 PM, and I placed the order around 10:00 PM. I have been waiting for my food for over an hour now and have called the branch multiple times. I don't know in what world Thuisbezorgd states that this specific branch received an Award in 2026; well, that must be the Award for the worst New York Pizza in the entire Netherlands. NEVER ORDER YOUR FOOD HERE!!!

DO NOT ORDER! The spicy chicken pizza came as a regular chicken pizza (without sauce or spring onion), one mayonnaise was delivered instead of 2 garlic sauces, the gyros pizza had no Tzatziki sauce, and instead of chicken wings, there were chicken pops in the box. We were initially given someone else's pizza, which I later found in bushes in my garden. If I had known this, I would not have ordered!

After waiting an hour and a half, I wanted to call and they are unavailable by phone; worthless place.

I placed an order at 10:50 PM, but it didn't show up in my app so I went to check. The order had come through, which was fine. I then asked how long it would take, and they said 15-20 minutes. By then it was already 11:30 PM so I called again, and they said the delivery person was on the way, which can easily happen. At 11:50 PM my order still hadn't arrived, so I called again, and they said, "The delivery person has been on the way for a while, he can arrive any minute." So I waited and waited, and it was midnight. Then I called AGAIN, and no one answered (I called them 10 times). It turned out they were all lying about the delivery person being on the way and that it would take a few more minutes. In the end, I never received my food! (DO NOT ORDER HERE)‼️

Delicious pizza. Phone orders do take a bit longer, as they say they often receive fake orders. Otherwise, the guys there do their very best. ❤️

Ordered yesterday for the first time in two months. I'd often been disappointed before, but yesterday I noticed a world of difference. The service was excellent when I had a question about my order, the pizzas arrived hot and delicious, all in all, fantastic! I'll definitely be ordering again.

Poor service. I ordered three pizzas: a 4-cheese pizza, a teriyaki chicken pizza, and a BBQ bacon and chicken pizza. The only one that was good was the BBQ bacon and chicken pizza. The teriyaki chicken pizza came with the wrong crust, no broccoli, no onion, and the wrong sauce. Instead of the 4-cheese pizza, a margarita pizza was delivered. I then called, and the excuse was: "We don't have all the ingredients in stock. Why didn't you call ahead, guys? It shouldn't be that difficult. Such a shame."

I filed a complaint a while ago, but they're doing absolutely nothing about it. I won't be ordering from them again.

I hereby file an official complaint about my recent order at Pizza New York, Groene Hilledijk branch. After waiting for over an hour, I received my order, consisting of two pizzas and two sweet pizzas, the quality of which was completely substandard. The pizzas were ice cold and lacked sauce, and the sweet pizzas were incompletely prepared: The Nutella M&M pizza contained no M&Ms and was completely cold. The sweet Oreo pizza had no toppings at all and consisted entirely of dough. I subsequently contacted the branch several times. During the first call, I was on hold for nine minutes, after which the call was disconnected without any response. When I called back, I was told that they had decided to ship the pizzas "bare" because the ingredients were no longer available. This was done without any consultation or prior communication. During this call, an employee could be heard cursing in the background, after which the call was abruptly disconnected. A subsequent phone call indicated that the pizzas could be remade and that all the ingredients were suddenly available. To date, I've been waiting over an hour and a half, with no delivery and no further response. Then you get the wrong order again, and they laugh at you over the phone. I filed an official complaint with the head office. Never order from here.

I placed an order on December 27th, but half an hour later I received a call saying it wasn't possible because they were out of stock. "Fine, I want a refund," I said. The response was that it would be refunded within five days. It's now been over a month and I still haven't received anything.

After many bad experiences, I decided to give this branch, De Groene Hilledijk, another try, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The pizza was good, the service was good; I spoke to a friendly, helpful employee when I called. All in all, it went great. This definitely won't be the last time I order from here!

You get a cold pizza with no sauce... no one answers the phone. You go to the store only to be told they don't have time to make a new pizza. And I get my money back within five business days. The whole place is a complete circus, the second time in a month the order has gone wrong. The store is run by sixteen-year-old kids. Update: January 20, 2026, still haven't gotten my money back.

A month ago, I ordered a pizza from the Groene Hilledijk branch in Rotterdam, and after an hour and a half, it still hadn't arrived. I called, and it turned out the ingredients weren't there, so the order had been canceled. I never received an email or any other notification about this. I've been trying to get my money back for a month, but neither the branch nor the head office has done anything to help me. Full of hope, I ordered again today. I received meat, even though I ordered a vegan version, just like a month ago. I was given the option to choose a different pizza, but it was cheaper than I paid. I was also supposed to get wedges as compensation. That didn't happen, and no effort was made over the phone. They refused to include them, even though they were at fault. You wouldn't serve pork to a Muslim, would you? No apology or effort was made to compensate me for either last month or tonight.

Ordered a hot chicken and a Margherita pizza. The hot chicken was delivered without chili sauce. So you call them, and they say they've run out of chili sauce. Well, fine, you know, but you should have just called. There was barely any chicken on the pizza anyway, by the way. After 4 slices, I suddenly got a mouthful of hair. I fell right off my chair. It was like I was eating someone's wig. It's not normal how gross that is. I really expect all of this to be improved because you've really lost a customer now. Scandalous.

A very bad experience with New York Pizza Groene Hilledijk. The first time we ordered here, our drinks were missing. That can happen, so we didn't make a big deal about it. The second time, it went wrong again. We received a completely wrong order, and the pizzas we received were incredibly small. Absolutely not what you expect, and certainly not what you pay for. But today was the final straw. We ordered 25 minutes before closing time, and it was accepted without fail. It's now 1:05 AM, and still nothing has been delivered. No delivery person, no phone call, no message, absolutely nothing. This is no longer a coincidence, but systematically bad. No service, no communication, and no responsibility whatsoever towards the customer. It's shockingly bad, and it's our last time here.

Don't order from here. I ordered a pizza with BBQ chicken and bacon. It had absolutely nothing on it but cheese. The guy I spoke to on the phone said I doubt it was empty. So, they ran out of chicken and bacon? It's a shame, because then you get a number to send a photo to, which doesn't even work. So, I'll order through here.

The manager asked me to WhatsApp proof of the order so I could get my money back. So far, zero response to the WhatsApp messages. I filed a complaint via the website; I was told I would be contacted within 5 working days. Now, 3 weeks later, I still haven't heard anything from anyone and never received my money back either. I will now take other steps.

I ordered a cinnamon bread but I only got bread

I placed an order online. After being half an hour late, I called. "I'll call the delivery person, I'll call you back in a minute." I didn't get a call back. I called again after half an hour. "We forgot to call you back; we're out of toppings for your pizza." I told them I'd like a different pizza, perhaps with some extra toppings to make up for the delay. "No, that's not possible." Worst service ever. In a year, the service has deteriorated so much. Bizarre. After an hour and a half, I received a half-cooked pizza with half a centimeter of grease on it.

The food was OK, as far as take away pizzas go, but as soon as we entered, the first thing they said was that this was only for delivery, even though we just wanted to take away something, which should be possible as well. So after a few back and forths it was finally clear that it was allowed to take away something.

If I could give 0 stars, I would have done so. I ordered 2 pizzas here today and they were inedible: bland, stale, and with a thick, undercooked crust. I contacted the employee immediately, who promised a solution… but never heard anything back after that. Unfortunately, I only saw the bad reviews afterwards, but now I can only confirm them. People, please do not order here. This level of food shouldn't even be allowed to be sold.

This branch offers beer on the website, which they then do NOT deliver because they don't have it? Ordered and paid for multiple beers; called and emailed 3 times to get my money back, but I still haven't received it after 2 weeks... (initially, the delivery driver told me that my money would be refunded automatically). Very poor service and VERY dissatisfied.

If you want minimal toppings on your pizza, you can order here. I clicked on "garlic oil pizza edge" and you can clearly see that the edges are dry. The pizza has several large bald spots without toppings, and I had to microwave my pizza. I also had to wait a long time for it. I told the delivery driver I had the wrong pizza because I simply couldn't believe it was that, haha, and he said, "Unfortunately, I'm just the delivery driver, I can't do anything." Even though he's the delivery driver for that location. With a delivery driver from Thuisbezorgd, I can still think, "Okay, but oh well." The location was already closed.

I don't know who works there or why they serve this kind of food to others. The service was terrible; we waited almost two hours for our order! The pizza was a mess of ingredients thrown together in one place, and the chicken was awful. This restaurant should be closed!

Waited almost an hour and a half for cold pizzas. Ordered a caprese pizza with 2 drops of petyo and 2 cherry tomatoes. It was more like a mozzarella pizza. Ordered again after a year on November 27, 2025, and it's just as bad, if not worse. Two cold pizzas with incomplete toppings!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The tuna pizza contained virtually no tuna. When I called about it, I was told I would discuss it with the manager first. Less than ten seconds later, I was told the pizza "met all requirements." If this is your standard for a tuna pizza, it's incredibly low. Disgraceful. This is the last time I'll order from here. My wife was so surprised and angry that she announced over the loudspeaker that she would take the pizza back to the location. She received a defiant response: "Come bring that pizza." I think if we actually did that, we'd be more likely to find a shisha lounge than a normally functioning pizzeria. I'd say rename your tuna pizza to a margarita with a few pieces of tuna. Order garlic bread and get cheese bread. Order a pizza with toppings and just get a crappy pizza with slices of cheese instead of mozzarella. On top of that, it's missing toppings. After waiting 2 weeks, a response arrives. It's supposed to be like that. So all the other times it was wrong. Take your pick... refund once or for all those other times.

I placed an order at New York Pizza, but it was a huge disappointment. The food arrived cold, the pizza was barely topped, tasteless, and simply inedible. The dough was like a brick and poorly prepared. Additionally, I received 3 small bowls of tzatziki instead of the 3 garlic sauces I ordered. All in all, downright bad – too bad guys, you want to make Pizza Night, but you ruined it.

After our last order, we decided this would be the last time we'd order from here. We paid €14 per pizza (with a deal). And then you order a loaded pepperoni pizza, and it comes with 10 slices of pepperoni. If you believe the website, it has EVEN more pepperoni than ever. Well, not at this branch. The chicken pizza also had small cubes of what was supposed to be chicken. It had a full load of sauce, so you can't see the ingredients. It didn't look like the pizza it was supposed to be at all. The crust was fine, but paying €14 for a crust... a bit of a shame... you're being misled, or they're incredibly stingy with toppings... Not recommended in any case. It was a real disappointment.

If I could give it zero I would. I’ve been to so many New York pizzas and honestly this is the worst. The pizza is just salty and has no flavour. When in the restaurant, there was pepperoni on the floor, honestly just avoid at all costs.

Terrible! Ordered something a few years ago but recently ordered again. There was something left for the delivery person in the Uber app, so I called politely. What a horrible and unkind person who answered the phone! Even filed a complaint with head office afterwards, but nothing was done about it. Heard nothing more. Just rude, he didn't let me finish and promptly canceled the entire order while I was still on the phone with him! I had to figure out how to get my money back from Uber Eats. I will NEVER order from here again!! Go find another job, you idiot, because you're really out of line, dude. That's just not how you treat your customers.

We visited the branch to place an order for a group of 20 people. We then waited for more than 15 minutes without any response from the staff, despite greeting us several times. After asking three times if we could order, an employee simply pointed to a colleague without any explanation or further help. We ultimately decided to leave due to the lack of customer service and communication. Fortunately, Angelos was nearby, where we received good help. Unfortunately, the employees at New York were disappointing: they wore earphones, were not approachable and did not show any form of hospitality.

Bad experience here. I ordered four things through Uber Eats and only got three. I called to ask where my chicken pops were and had to wait 15 minutes for the manager. He didn't seem bothered and simply said, "Sorry, we're too busy, we can't help you. We'll send them tomorrow." I told him that wasn't helpful and wanted a refund, but that wasn't possible—I had to deal with Uber Eats myself. When I called about it, the manager just hung up and said, "Okay, bye, I'm not in the mood." Really antisocial. On top of that, the pizza was burnt and the €2.50 cookie was dry and tough. Definitely not recommended.

I picked up a to good to go here and I found out afterwards that I received 2 cookies for €2.50 each. The to good to go cost €4.99 for €11.99, the intention is that you get €11.99 worth of food and not €4.99. I won't go here the staff is also very rude.

I've order pizza on my birthday (23 Jan), after a few minutes I received a call that this place could not deliver in my address so the order would be cancelled. Note that the website directed the order to this store, not me. The person said that I would receive my money back on at least 4 days. It is been over one month and no solution. Customer service does not solve, store does not solve, so I just got stolen and played like a fool.

Ordered pizza and one packet of garlic sauce. We live not too far away from this restaurant yet by the time we got our order it was already cold. Garlic sauce was missing. Pizza was disgusting. I have never seen such greasy pizza yet it tasted like nothing. I could only taste cherry tomatoes. Dough was crunchy and soggy at the same time. This is literally the worst pizza I have ever tried. Would recommend avoiding this place.

The worst service ever, ordered at 10:30 PM, finally received at 12:05 AM after calling three times. I'm never going to order NY pizza anything.

Ordered pizza, garlic bread, cinnamon bread and caprese salad (mozzarella, pesto) an hour before closing time. Delivered almost an hour later, cinnamon bread forgotten. This was brought later. However, it was already cold, hard and left in the oven too long during preparation. Was NOT edible. The salad meal that I paid €7.99 for was a real disappointment. See photo. Everything was warm, brown, no pesto and some small measly bits of mozzarella in it. This really isn't possible. Terrible. Paid €36 for this pile of disappointment. The only thing to eat was the garlic bread. Pizza was still okay compared to the salad, but certainly not so tasty that I would order there again. You can compare it with the frozen pizzas that you made at home but accidentally left in the oven for too long. The biggest disappointment was the salad and the cinnamon bread. This will never happen again for us at New York Pizza Groene Hilledijk.

Order pizza at 22:50. Delivered 00;05 and forget sauce that I spent 3 euro on it. Pizza is nice and would love to eat again but expierence delivery like this is awkward.

Cold pizza floating in sauce! With other New York pizzas, the terayaki chicken pizza was very tasty but it was really dirty. Not all ingredients were on the pizza but mainly sauce. 🤮🤮

If you order there, do it via home delivery. They always forget something and with home delivery they at least arrange for you to get your money back. I'm even going to cancel my NYP account. Well, I forgot two lava cakes again and it was already closing time and the delivery person was anything but helpful. He didn't want to call the business because his phone was no longer working properly. He didn't offer to get it after all. Now I can call again. I want my money back!

I have been there for the third time now, never again, the staff is just arguing in front of you, the pizzas are cold before I got home and guess what, a BBQ chicken without BBQ sauce. Honestly, don't eat here!! Something is wrong with their food. In August, I got a bacterial stomach infection after eating there, but wasn't sure if it was from their food. A couple of days ago, I ordered that same salami pizza that I ordered in August from there, and I've been ill and having exactly the same symptoms as I had in August ever since. Since the symptoms are exactly the same and appeared both times after eating a salami pizza from there, Im now convinced that their food is the cause for my infection. My partner is complaining about stomach aches after eating that pizza as well. Seriously, don't go there, their food is contaminated. Edit: Do not dare to remove the review and hide this information from your customers. This review does not include hate speech or bullying of any kind. Furthermore, this review directly addresses the restraunt and the food in it. Therefore, it is not an off-topic post! Be glad I wrote a review instead of pursuing legal action.
