New York Pizza in Oostzanerwerf

I ordered a pizza and waited an hour and a half (mind you, I live a 4-minute bike ride away) to receive a cold pizza and chicken. It also only had six pepperoni slices on it (a 30cm pizza). I then received a new pizza, which said it would take 20 to 30 minutes, only to receive another cold pizza and chicken, which took 45 minutes. I also found the delivery driver quite rude. The service was okay, though, as I did receive a new order without any hassle.

I arrived, and a young man with a slightly longer hairline refused to help me order, even though there was no one in line. I politely asked him if he could help me, and he replied, "The couriers will help you later. I'm busy, as you can see." So, I left the store, and I'm never coming back.

I stopped by, but it looked more like a community center in the Bijlmer than a serious restaurant. Loud rap music was playing, and the staff were just sitting on the tables. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was finally helped, but the staff member barely spoke Dutch and was anything but friendly. My pizza was half crust, and to make matters worse, two of the staff members started wrestling at one point—it looked like a kickboxing gala. All in all: I'll never go back and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Delivery takes much longer than acceptable on a Saturday evening. Pizza is substandard.

I don't know where all the bad reviews are coming from. I ordered a takeout pizza and was very satisfied with the service and the pizza itself. The staff also seemed professional.

New York Pizza offers delicious, generously topped pizzas with fast delivery. Plenty of selection and reasonable prices, but quality can vary from location to location.

Ordered food at 4, supposed to arrive at 5. Then, at 6, the pizza arrived, the box was soaking wet, the pizza was lukewarm, and the table was forgotten, so half the toppings were stuck to the top of the box. AND HOW I'm not ordering from here again. Personally, I'd fire some people because this is so bad.

I ordered a Margherita and Californian veggie pizza. Unfortunately, my vegetarian pizza contained two slices of pepperoni. I called about it and was met with a rude guy who gave me a lame explanation that it wasn't possible because they'd been out of pepperoni all day. I asked for a new pizza, but they didn't deliver because it was too late. I finally called back to provide my information for compensation. After more than a week, I still haven't heard anything or received any compensation. It's a shame, because I've always had good experiences with New York Pizza, as well as with Van Molenwijk.

You are so unqualified and should not make food to anyone and your store must shutdown.

What terrible service!!!! I had a pizza that was almost all dough, so I called them to tell me the story. Did they just throw the phone down? I suddenly heard, "Hi, good day, what's your problem?" I just told my colleague, who didn't feel like it, so I thought I'd put the phone down for someone else. What terrible service!!!!!!!!! Terribly bad. The main office is the first one tomorrow! I can't even post this whole message without giving it 1 star. Unbelievable, not even worth 1 star.

I've been a New York Pizza customer for 25 years. After two years of repeated bad experiences at this location, I stopped ordering from them; unsociable staff, terrible, disgusting pizzas, long wait times, and cold deliveries (even though I live literally three minutes away). NYP; please let me know when you've given this location new management, policies, and staff.

Terrible service. If you call, they answer rudely with "hello, I've been waiting for my pizza for two hours now, and the app says it's already delivered." They're also looking for pizza makers and delivery drivers. I wouldn't want to work there either.

Absolute joke. Ordered pizza at 19:05, got one of the pizzas a smaller side than what was ordered called them to ask to fix it at 19:40 the guy told me they would send a new pizza. At 20:20 and the guy who picked up told me they never started it, but they will fix that and have a new one delivered within 20 minutes, well now it is 21:05. I won’t even bother calling again because every time a different person picks up telling me he is the manager and will fix it but its probably all a joke in the end. Save your money and a horrible experience and never order from this place, absolutely horrendous.

Horrible staff! Disinterested and grumpy! The delivery driver sat on the table with his dirty shoes on the chair! The kitchen is a mess, incredibly filthy, with trash everywhere, leftover food, and pizza (which I assume should be refrigerated). I've never seen such a filthy place. If you want to get sick, you're welcome here.

Great deals, but the customer service is terrible. I ordered €350 for a company party, but they canceled everything, and so far—a month later—I haven't received a refund. Instead, I received a coupon for one free pizza. What free pizza?! I paid for my pizza, but I want a refund for what I didn't receive!!!

Bad pizza has almost nothing on it, just 2 pieces of onion and some red sauce.

This is my second time ordering and I fully regret it, I had a hair in my pizza, got the order delayed and not even with the right ingredients. Order somewhere else if you're thinking of this one.

The pizzas were delivered quickly and piping hot by a very sweet delivery person and the pizzas tasted delicious!

Pizza ordered, give the wrong one and just keep insisting that I ordered the pizza buffalo chicken with a so-called hot (sauce) swirl. Of course I order that when I have children eating with me And by the way, it wasn't a swirl but almost a complete covering with that scorching hot sauce 😡😡🤬 unfortunately I can't post a picture with it

Bad business. Delivering food cold, burnt. Or you just get something completely different. And then try to get your money back. And then I'm talking about multiple times. There is something every time

Ordered a pizza from New York Pizza. After waiting for a long time, I called: it turns out that they sent it to the wrong house number. They blamed me, while my address was just fine in their system. I even went all the way to the store, where they told me that I had to pick up my order at the wrong address. Ridiculous! It was only later that I got a phone call from home that the order had been delivered (much too late). Their system was apparently not even correct. What a mess. Bad service, no apologies, and taking no responsibility at all. Never again.

3 different times i ordered a pizza with a beer but every time i get a call after ordering to tell me they don't have any beers in stock. Just remove it from your website if you can't deliver it.

Ordered a pizza from this place yesterday. The pizza itself was delicious, but the service really left a lot to be desired. When I was there, the staff seemed to consist mainly of young people. Not a problem per se, but it felt more like I was walking into a tea party than a well-organized workplace. It even took a while before anyone noticed that we were at the checkout, because a colleague had to be pointed out. In addition, hygiene left much to be desired. No gloves or hairnets were worn, and to my surprise, a delivery person who had just returned from a ride immediately started helping prepare our pizza. I didn't find that particularly fresh. Although the pizza was fine, I was disappointed that an employee had to make a comment as he left: "Who would choose this Chicken Teriyaki?" Not really professional. I'm curious what New York Pizza thinks about this and whether they will do something with it.

My order was canceled after they communicated that delivery would be delayed by 2 hours. 5 weeks later and having contacted at least 10 times, I still have not received my money even though they say it is being resolved. Sickly antisocial!

What a bad branch of New York Pizza in Amsterdam Molenwijk. Waiting for 2.5 hours, no excuses, only excuses when you call to ask how or what. Then wrong and cold pizzas. Then called and got on the phone with the manager/owner after being transferred. He didn't seem to care. Would get money back, never saw anything. I will never order with this!

The staff working was slow, uninterested and not customer friendly. Also did not receive the right pizza. I was approached about this and was only given a very bad story and no clarity at all, anything but professional. “Managers” are not easy to speak to and finding solutions is difficult. If you ask for the owner, you get a stupid story and you have to deal with this person.

Been working with the head office for over 2 weeks about the bad experience of this branch. It is always promised (within a day, within 48 hours, etc.) that action will be taken, but NO action. A spinach pizza with a few leaves of spinach, an order that was delivered much too late and also waited for a long time before it was delivered. Draw your own conclusion before ordering here. My garlic bread was floating in oil in the box, the cardboard packaging was soaked! I immediately called and asked for my money back. I got a giggly girl on the phone who was busy in the background with Dr. friends (sounded like she was working in Monkeytown) and had no attention for the customer at all. She had my address and me 4 times. I had a complaint made and said that I should call back tomorrow, because the store manager was not there ????? Really super bad! I ordered a pizza at 4:30 PM and was supposed to receive my pizza at 5:30 PM, it was ready at 5:30 PM and was only delivered at 6:30 PM! Is the pizza delivered on foot or something? Then I call to indicate that my pizza is cold and it would be remade. After an hour I still haven't received or heard anything so I call, young girl indicates that she even made my pizza herself a while ago but they are waiting for their delivery and that they also had some hassle with their printer so it all worked out not for a while. But how difficult is it to make a shawarma pizza and if something takes longer, you should also call the customer? I also work at a restaurant. Van de afhaal pizza een van de betere. Had online vast besteld en hoefde bij het afhalen daardoor maar 5 minuten te wachten.

Vriendelijk personeel. Snel mijn bestelling gekregen. Alleen erg prijzig. Maar dat ligt aan de keten zelf.

Cheese bread was yummy. Everything else was rather mediocre. Mozzarella rolls and bacon rolls were severely underfilled and bland. Hotdog was very very firm 😅

Pizza and Lavacake were delicious. Chickenpops and nuggets tasted super weird. They were better tasting at other newyorkpizzas.

Het is nu 5 uur later, ik heb al twee liter water gedronken maar nog steeds een enorm droge mond, en het voelt alsof mijn bloeddruk drie keer zo hoog is als normaal. Er gaat echt een kilo zout in elke pizza. Zijn we er toch weer ingetuind.

Sinds kort zit er in het winkelcentrum Molenwijk een nieuwe snackplek! Bestellen via de site lukte niet, dus snel gebeld en dat ging snel. Bestelling was 15 minuten klaar om af te halen. (Bezorgen kan natuurlijk ook.) Personeel is vriendelijk en de pizza's zijn prima!

De pizza was prima maar het zakje salade wat je bij de pizza doner krijgt was niet echt vers beetje bruine randjes. Daarbij zou er een extra knoflooksausbakje meegestuurd worden, maar dat was niet het geval. Jammer.
