New York Pizza in Oostelijk Havengebied

Ordered through Uber eats. Put in the instructions that I would meet in the lobby. I put in the instructions that I would have a red shirt and would be in the lobby.They were early and delivered it to the front desk but the app still showed it "on the way". After about 20 min beyond the estimated time I called and they told me it was at reception. (The app still showed it as ,"on the way" even though it had been delivered 30 minutes previously) By this time the pizza was stone cold and barely edible. They claimed they called me but I had no missed calls and I was getting text messages from Uber eats. To make matters worse, I ordered Coke Zero and the gave me Coke Classic which I can't drink so that was 5 euros literally down the drain. I called to complain and they were rude and kept hanging up. The pizza looked like it might have been good if it had been hot. Unless you are really desperate, avoid this place.

The atmosphere is so bad; you're never greeted and glared at. Working without gloves, constantly being played on the phone, touching nose, mouth, and genitals. Constantly yelling "cancer." Cold pizza, few ingredients, leaning back, and no desire to work. I said something, and nothing was done about it. Is this normal in this store? I'll never come here again. - Food is terrible - Staff is beyond words. No manners - Atmosphere is ridiculous, and I'm glared at with annoyance.

Utterly rude staff. They yell at each other like cancer behind the counter. Customers aren't greeted. Long waits. There's only one stool by the table, but you can't eat at that table because it's covered in trash (posters, empty pizza boxes). Customers aren't allowed to use the restroom (only for employees—I really need to—and by the way, the employee restroom is broken). Great place. First and last time.

I’ve always been a fan of NYP but I am afraid this will change after today as I wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom in the restaurant… something like that can really ruin your day especially when you really need to use the bathroom XD

I came at 11:30 they said they closed , Although it’s mentioned on google they close at 12 Either a misleading or a careless workers

It took almost two hours for my pizza to arrive. When I called, they blamed the delivery driver and told me it wouldn't be much longer; it took another 40 minutes. I don't think it was the delivery driver's fault, although he was quite friendly. The pizza was okay.

Worst New York Pizza I have been too. Pizza over cooked, they even forgot about my pizza! When I asked where is my order all the excuse was they were busy. No excuse for not even cooking my pizza. Ok they apologised but still. 1 hour wait for a pizza is crazy that was overcooked when I got it. They sold me a Coca Cola but they didn’t have any, when I asked they made no real attempt to find one. Would recommend against this place. Better stores elsewhere

I advise everyone to go to another branch in Amsterdam; there are plenty. Two months ago, I had a threatening experience with an employee. The description of the incident is not accepted by Google because it is probably legally sensitive. Bottom line: part of my order wasn't delivered, even after several calls. When the phone went unanswered, I went to the branch and asked for a refund for the part I didn't receive. The employee refused, partly because it wasn't his fault that the order arrived late, "because he was very busy (it was only 5 euros)." When I left the store, this angry employee chased me outside, and then something unpleasant happened that was quite unacceptable. I also reported this to the head office, but two months and 40 emails later, nothing has happened. Incomprehensible. I agree with the other review that the quality varies greatly at this branch. Sometimes it's good, but with a bit of bad luck you order a cheese pizza and get fried dough with melted crème fraîche.

The kind of place that allows their yellow-plate scooter delivery clown to ride on Veemkade. Would you order from a place that endangers pedestrians?

Never again – New York Pizza Jollemanhof I advise everyone against ordering from New York Pizza Jollemanhof. I received pizzas with almost no cheese—literally just a dry crust with a little sauce. Thinking it was a mistake, I personally returned the pizzas. What was I told? "If you want more cheese, you have to order it." Seriously? No apology, no solution, nothing. I just left the pizzas in the store. It was that bad. Emailed customer service—they said they'd forward it to the franchisee. Weeks have passed now, and I still haven't heard anything. New York Pizza Jollemanhof? Forget it. Poor quality, poor service. Never again.

From the moment we walked in, the customer service was poor — we felt unwelcome and were met with rudeness. The staff left us midway through placing our order, which added to the frustration. There also appeared to be no dress code, as one of the servers was wearing sliders and jeans half way down his arse — not the most professional look. We were told there would be a one-hour wait for the food, which we accepted, and returned after an hour to collect it. Unfortunately, the pizza was cold, rubbery, and SO dry! and simply not enjoyable. A real letdown, especially considering how promising the place looks from the outside. We had high hopes, but sadly it didn’t deliver.

I've honestly never had cold pizza from them. Always fresh, piping hot and absolutely great. Good delivery people too.

picked up the pizzas and they were very tasty. The dough is very good and the vegan toppings were also convincing.

I made an order through the app and it showed that it was being prepared. After 50 minutes I called them to check why was it taking so long and for my surprise they had already closed. I keep wondering how can they accept an order if they are about to close. On the app it was still showing that it was being prepared, so if I hadn't called I would be waiting for another hour. Next day I contacted the app to get a refund and was surprised to see that the order was shown as delivered. How dishonest is that?

CRAP. we waited for the order which never arrived. We walked to get the order and were told the guy called and we didn't answer but I showed the guy proof that no call ever came. The order was inedible charred and incomplete because he had not even given the water that we had already paid for. Grumpy staff and incapable of fixing the unpleasant situation they created. Never again in life.

Worst New York pizza around. I sometimes order from here because this branch is the closest (10 min) but the food has often arrived cold and always has a long delivery time.

cold food, waited more than 90 minutes, wrong information on the phone, they were supposed to send a credit by app which of course did not happen, pizza 4 types of cheese without tomato sauce which ultimately makes it just a melted fake cheese sandwich, terrible service. What a mistake to order something here.

I recently had the chance to try a delicious pizza and I must say I was very impressed. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just as it should be. The sauce was rich and full of flavor, with just enough spices to give a subtle kick without being overpowering. However, what really made this pizza special were the fresh ingredients: juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella and fresh basil, all in perfect harmony. It was clear that care had been taken with the quality of every element. I would definitely recommend this pizza to any pizza lover. I'll definitely be back for more!

Terrible customer service and dry and mediocre pizza. We accidentally ordered a pizza for pickup instead of delivery and called less than a minute later to cancel, only to be told it wasn’t possible—even though the order hadn’t been processed yet. When we arrived to pick it up, a heavy rainstorm started, and both we and a family with a small child were forced to leave the shop because they claimed they didn’t have a license for people to stay inside. It wasn’t even closing time—it was only 7pm. I can understand if they couldn’t cancel the order, but showing no empathy by kicking people out into a storm? They acted like robots, completely lacking basic human decency. I decided to try New York Pizza once to check it out, will never try again.

Horrible staff who have always looked angry and hostile. The pizza didn't taste that bad to be fair but after eating one of their signature pastries, I was very poorly all day the next day and haven't actually recovered fully after 10 days of being home. I personally will 'NEVER' buy food from this place again.

nyp has very good service, the employees do their work very well and quickly, there are also very good ones, such as 2nd pizza for free...

We ordered 2 small pepperoni pizza’s… must be the easiest thing ever right? Well guess not we got dough with some red paste I think it must represent some kind of tomato spread but there wasn’t even cheese or pepperoni on the pizza… what the hell is this.

The worlds driest pizza For 26€ you basically get 2 pieces of dough - sauce and ingredients were put on top so scarcely, it doesn’t even matter what you order, all you taste is dry dough anyways. Extremely disappointing and not worth the money. Will not order again. The pizza did arrive very fast though, to at least mention 1 positive aspect. Not even 30min.

Pizzas never delivered. After a long wait, I called the restaurant, after which a very unfriendly person who had never heard of customer service indicated that the doorbell had been rung and not opened. Of course, the doorbell was never rung and why would a customer who is hungry and waiting for pizzas not open the door. They did not want to return the money or redeliver it. The person couldn't tell me what happened to the pizzas either. Judging by all the other reactions, this is unfortunately more the rule than the exception. Easy money to make...Will never order anything from there again!

Pizza never arrived. The app said it was delivered at 23:00. Exactly the moment they were not reachable anymore. I demand my money back ASAP. Do not order here, it’s a scam.

Delivers to wrong address manager insults customer!

Unfortunately the same experience as many others. We waited almost 3 hours in total and called 3 times in the meantime, with the standard answer always being 'your pizza can be here any moment'. Huge recommendation.

Almost two months ago I ordered a pizza + chicken nuggets online from New York Pizza and paid via iDeal. The pizza arrived too late and was a completely different pizza than I ordered: smaller and of a different taste. The nuggets didn't come. I returned the pizza to the courier. Immediately called New York Pizza, but they were no longer available by phone. Since then I have had many emails with customer service, but they do not come up with a solution and will not refund my money. A registered letter with this complaint has so far remained unanswered. The customer is not respected. Mistakes are not corrected. Complaints are ignored. Other people's money will not be returned. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

What a miserable thing. We call you to say that a pizza is out of stock and which one we want differently. Ask for a pepperoni pizza and after 1 hour we receive an improvised pizza that we had not ordered. Call and apologies, apologies the pepperoni is coming. Now 2 hours later nothing has arrived and they are no longer answering the phone! Scandalous!!!!

Cold pizzas after 2 hours of waiting.

Ice melted and refrozen, making the entire bottom water ice, yuck! Moreover, we ordered non-dairy and received 2 different ice creams with a milk base. Sloppy!

NY Pizza Jollemanhof A'dam. Al meerdere malen hele (veel te) late bezorging en koude pizza's gekregen alsmede besteld product 'vergeten'. Na vele malen bellen div. (slechte) excuses waarom de levering zo lang duurt. Wat is dat toch met deze locatie van NY Pizza?! Ik wacht ook nog steeds op een antwoord van NY Pizza na mijn klacht. Bizar, slechte service.

Leider auch bei schlimmsten Wetter nur "to Go". Pizza war Recht hart und trocken, die Tomatensauce ist sehr dominant. Müsste nicht nochmal sein.

Nur zum mitnehmen!!! Die Pizza ist sehr ölig/fettig Leider ist die Pizza nicht ganz durchgeschnitten worden dadurch nicht einfach auf der Straße zu essen. Ich würde sie nicht noch einmal kaufen. Schade

Verkeerde pizza meegegeven en miste ons lava cakeje. Die opgehaald. Pizza was wel ontzettend heet en smaakte gelukkig erg lekker maar natuurlijk niet waar je voor betaald. Personeel was vriendelijk maar de zaak is niet erg hygiënisch. Alles is een beetje vies, oud en smoezelig

I needed a pizza place to get some dinner near my hotel, and New York Pizza delivered. When I went in they were helpful and friendly, the pizza was prepared and cooked quickly, and most importantly the pizza was delicious. I will definitely order from them again next time I'm in Amsterdam.

Zoals ze vandaag hebben bezorgd, zou voor mij altijd een reden zijn om opnieuw te bestellen. Pizza's lekker warm, alsof ze net van de oven uit gekomen zijn. Prima op tijd ondanks de drukte en pizza's exact naar mijn wens zonder fouten.
