Amazing wine bar with incredible cuisine.

This place is really a hidden gem! With a small terras and a cosy restaurant inside with simple thoughtful warm interior. The service is sooo professional and yet away that you feel that you are visiting a friend.. from the warm welcome to the explanation when serving the food. Their wine menu is huge and diverse… if you love wine and love to taste.. their menu will make you feel like a kid in the candy shop. They are Very transparant in recommendations about the wine.

A long, bright restaurant. The service is gentle (very open and warm) and customer-focused. It's nice that they're so open to conversation, even though they have work to do. You can choose from a set three-course menu or individual dishes from the menu. We chose the latter. For appetizers, we had Gilda of the Day and Bruschetta. Then, for starters, we had "Steak Tartare with Bone Marrow" and "Hamashi Crudo." Both were superb and original dishes. For the main course, we had "Black Angus Skirt Steak." It was very tender and flavorful. The wine list consists of approximately 400 wines. They also have many that you can order by the glass. The staff are happy to help you choose. You can sample each wine you order first (wine by the glass). We had a white (orange) wine, among other wines. Delicious and unique, but the menu also includes classics from well-known countries. Want to eat well with friendly and relaxed service? This is your place. And the restaurant deserves to be visited by enthusiasts. Everything is perfect.😁 Parking is expensive and difficult, but there are two charging stations 40 meters from the restaurant. So you might get lucky.

One of the best meals in Amsterdam. They have something special; a great team, amazing service and quality food with intense flavors and creativity. Their wine list is one of the most unique lists we’ve seen in a while and their prices are fair. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Hint - share some of their main courses as appetizers. Great experience! Both the food and the service were great. We were helped very friendly, and got good help in choosing a wine; the service had a lot of wine knowledge. We were also allowed to taste a few things, after giving our desired flavors. Very nice and we will definitely come back!

The food is excellent, prepared with great care and flavor. The chef comes to your table and gives you a very detailed explanation and adapts to the diners' menu suggestions. He truly surprises you with the presentation and freshness of the products. The service is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very modern, and the wine selection is surprising!...on my calendar!

The food and drinks were super expensive but were really bad. Maybe it is the current menu. But we paid around 150 euros for a terrible dinner. Went there on a Tuesday, the service from the guy on duty was great, but the lady was a snob.

Delicious food, although small portions for what you pay. We sat in the back next to the kitchen, not a cozy place and the service was disappointing. Dutch speaking service is scarce these days and the English and French speaking lady recommended bad wines (after 2x strange advice we just accepted the mediocre wine), forgot bread 3x and the bill did not arrive. Fortunately her colleague jumped in later so that after 45 minutes we finally had bread, our order was taken and at the end after 15 minutes we got the bill. Beautiful and creative dishes, but the service was very disappointing

Oysters were delicious, but with the shells in. The cheese platter was delicious! Mature cheeses and good nut bread were served with it. The service was sometimes inattentive and unfriendly.

Enjoyed the wines and food very much. Very extensive wine list. They think along with you with the wine choices and tell fascinating stories about them. The highlights of the dishes are the croquettes, chicken ballotine, steak tartare with bone marrow and the dessert with cantuccini ice cream. Optimal shared dining for when you are with two.

The prices are on the high side, while the quality of the food is disappointing. The service is friendly, but you have to ask for everything yourself. The concept is not explained and even the table was not completely set. Too bad for the amount I had to pay.

A nice wine bar with a solid selection of wines by the glass. It can get quite busy and a bit noisy at times, but the atmosphere is lively. The food is served in snack-sized portions and is well prepared. The Cecina de León and Coquilles Tartare are definitely worth trying.

An amazing hidden gem of a Restaurants/Wine bar. They have excellent selection of Wines and Champagne and the food is contemporary, fusion and delicious. We often go there to explore their gorgeous selection of wines and Champagne from Pierre Moncuit.

This wine bar has a huge collection of wines. They have quite a few wines by the glass and also a great collection of bottles. They had some interesting selections, like a dry Furmint and a white wine from the Rioja region, which we had never tried before. The best part was the food. We were pleasantly surprised by how good every dish we ordered was. They paired greatly with the wines we tried. The service was very friendly, and the sommelier gave us a lot of details about the region and how the wine was produced. Overall, a great wine bar in Amsterdam. I highly recommend it, and we will be back soon.

Beautiful tent. Gem in Amsterdam. Extremely good service, nice wine list and very nice food. Toilets are actually in the middle of the restaurant, but it is amazing how they have turned a pipe drawer into a nice restaurant/bar.

Genius, what a great experience. We enjoyed the special exciting wine and food combination. Magic! For a nice glass of wine and delicious dishes. Our Gosya was the best Sommalier in a very long time. We give this restaurant a 10!! See you soon, we are already looking forward to it.

Lovely wine bar with a cozy atmosphere. Not only do they offer a great selection of wines, they also serve delicious food. We tried several wines with different dishes and enjoyed everything. Upon our arrival, there was a misunderstanding about the time slot for our reservation, however, we received an explanation, an apology and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. The service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely come here again.

Very good discovery and therefore experience

An amazing experience. Our server was super knowledgeable about the wine menu and was able to help pair two bottles with our food. They have a very extensive wine list- making it so that no matter what you’d like you will be able to find something to enjoy! As for the food, it was fabulous. Fresh, exciting and creative flavors without ever being over the top. A must-go-to for all in amsterdam.

I had a friend tell me Oocker had the best wine list in Amsterdam. After going there, I have to say Oocker's wine list is fantastic. I had a Tokaj and a Savagnin (had a great time discussing them with the friendly and delightful staff). I'll be back. And if you are in the mood for a New Zealand wine (I'm from NZ), they even have a Pegasus Bay available! Great wine destination in Amsterdam.

Very tasty food and great Service

As a recently diagnosed celiac, it is very hard to find places that can cater to a gluten free diet. However, Oocker made everything possible, so that I could eat the plates I wanted and even brought me gluten free bread! On top of that, the service, quality, atmosphere, wines are just to die for. I would recommend this place to anyone in Amsterdam, we will definitely come back and the best part is they are constantly renewing their menu.

Recommended for lovers of wining & dining. 'The menu consists of 1 page of food, 99% of which is wine'. Not surprising with 400 different varieties in house... and they know how to do that too. Most possible by the glass. But there was plenty of food to choose from on the menu. Delicious combinations of wine and dishes; meat, fish, vegetarian, all shared possible. And Oocker has good customer-oriented service, which is difficult to find these days.

Have no idea why it wasn't impossible to get a reservation here. The food is perfection--interesting and delicious; the wine selection is fantastic; and the service is friendly and attentive but never overbearing. Can't wait to return to Amsterdam and see what they serve up next!

Outstanding. This place is two blocks from our guesthouse stay in Amsterdam. If I had known how good it is, I would have eaten here again. We had two weeks, but couldn't get in til late the last. Make reservations in advance of your arrival.

Had a fantastic experience. Yesterday I had a sublime meal with my partner with a beautiful extensive wine list. The sommelier knows what he is talking about and does his utmost to teach you something about the wines you drink. We ate 3 bites, 2 main courses and 2 desserts, which was always spot on! The food was not ordinary (steak tartare with bone marrow) but very tasty.

Everything was INCREDIBLY delicious! Starters, cauliflower, monkfish and meat 😍 A big shout out to the chef and everyone who cooked it. You will not be disappointed! It is better to reserve a table or come early (we were by 17:40) as after 19:00 here are a lot of people.

Nice cosy restaurant. Lots of wine, but we came for a quick bite. Enjoyed the wine and very pleasantly surprised with great tasting food. The Skate Wing certainly was a tasteful surprise. The chef also taking the time to explain the dish. The staff was very welcoming.

Had a wonderful evening at Oocker. Here you can drink fantastic wines, both by the bottle and by the glass. This in a nice atmosphere, with very nice and knowledgeable staff with delicious dishes to order. Definitely recommended for wine lovers!

A cozy restaurant focused on wine in Amsterdam with a friendly ambiance. Great option for a small dinner or an aperitivo. The menu is very creative and the dishes are really well made with fresh ingredients. The bone marrow was our favorite, highly recommended. From the dessert the fried milk is also a great option for a light but sweet end to the meal. We were happy with the service as well and overall we had a great experience. Their focal point is the extensive wine menu though, and given the location their wines are all very affordable, compared to most other places in Amsterdam. We will go back for sure to try out more dishes and wines.

This place is specialized on wines. So it’s more wine than food. Unfortunately we were hungry that evening and wanted to eat a lot but there was not so many options in the menu. I would recommend this place to have wine with snacks but not for a dinner.

Impressive list of quality wines, delicious menu with phenomenal pairings and such a friendly staff. I had the unlucky position of having quite some ingredient restrictions and they accommodated it all, without giving long looks or sighs. Wonderfully cozy atmosphere, truly recommend for lovers of wine and food!

Really nice winebar. I didn’t have any food while visiting, only wine. Nice selection of wine by the glass. Recommended. The location is quiet, cosy - and off the tourist trail. If the sun is out there are a few tables and chairs outside of the bar

That's lovely! The food is very good. The cheese board is to die for, and the seabass and asparagus panna cotta are amazing. And the wine list is very extensive and they are all very good.

Meh… if this was 25% less expensive, I would come back. We personally found the flavour/texture mix to be odd. The lamb came with very cold salad mix and the seabass (very delicate) dish came with very chewy/hard fennel. It is nice that the dishes potentially change but unfortunately these cold/hot and soft/chewy combinations were strange for us.

Great address! A very well thought out wine list. A super stylish decoration. Dishes that could easily be found on the menu of a bistronomic restaurant. Above all, a friendly, professional and attentive team. We understand why it was voted the best wine bar in Amsterdam.

A super stylish, beautiful and cozy wine bar with beautiful tables in a kind of French/Parisian style and everywhere you look you see wine bottles. The staff is very nice and can also recommend a wine if you don't know what you want to drink or if you want to be surprised! Highly recommended :)

Very nice, good value dishes and wines. If you see something interesting on the wine menu dont hesitate to ask if they have it by glass, the prices are very fair (especially for Amsterdam) Had bruschetta, stewed pork cheek with potato puree and bone marrow, with a glass of chinon. 59 in total, would go again

Dining with my family at Oocker was a remarkable experience. We were a group of 9 people and had an excellent eno-gastronomic dinner with delicious courses, attentive, expert and kind service and great wine choice. The wine card is extensive and very well selected. Our overall experience exceed our expectations.

A very cozy atmosphere, great service, extensive wine selection and delicious food! I particularly recommend having the chocolate cake with sesame ice cream olive oil and sea salt. That desert was simply incredible.

If it wasn’t for the wines, this would have been one star. Took 1 hour and 15 min to get our first dish, even after flagging we had to leave early. Eventually, we had to rush all 3 dishes within 20 minutes. No apologies were made. Also, we got confirmation to get a normal table when we made the booking, but still were sat at a high table when we arrived. Unfortunately a very disappointing experience.

Perfect spot if you’re looking for an ambient wine bar to go to on a date or with some friends. Atmosphere and service are both great, and the wine list is very extensive with top quality picks. We only had a small bite, which was a pear desert plate and it was good! Will definitely come back again multiple times for wine (without a doubt) and would like to try their food as it looked and smelt really good! Highly recommend.

I DID NOT EXPECT THIS! My friend and I just wanted to have a drink and something to eat, in that exact order, so I booked us a table at Oocker. At first it felt a bit crowded, and it was, but within seconds we felt at home. The crew is friendly, professional and welcoming. The wine selection it outstanding. The food is exquisite and sophisticated. This was my first time here, but definitely not the last.

Good food and wine but bad service. The food here was really good and the wine list extensive. The food menu is small but well-prepared, tasty, and nicely presented. We tried various starters and mains, and everything was excellent. Regrettably, the service fell short of expectations for an upscale establishment. Despite the premium prices, the staff neglected to clear the table between servings, necessitating constant requests for basic table maintenance. Additionally, essential utensils like spoons for items such as bone marrow or sauces were not readily available and had to be requested. Adding to the disappointment, the plates used for dining were marred by chipped or cracked edges, undermining the overall dining ambiance. It's disheartening when a restaurant offering excellent cuisine falls short in the realm of attentive service. There's significant room for improvement in the overall dining experience.
