Excellent and good restaurant, delicious food. A bit pricey. With neighbor Anita Muis. It was delicious again!👌

As far as I can tell, the food is okay for Turkish food. Drink prices were too high. However, what really costs me the last star is the surrounding area. It's a decent shopping center in a somewhat run-down neighborhood. There's little ambiance or atmosphere in the surrounding area. The staff, however, was very friendly.

I find breakfast pricey and stingy at €19.50 per person. Two omelets for four people, and if you want sucuk, it costs extra. Other Turkish restaurants offer more variety. But luckily, we have better restaurant options!

We sat outside (no dogs allowed inside!) for Turkish breakfast. Team is very friendly. Menemen is excellent. Turkish breakfast plates are not very impressive, bread was clearly cut several hours ago (it was dry). And what is up with sausage served in ketchup! Why not serve proper sucuk?

We had made a reservation and arrived on time. We sat down on the terrace, because there was no indication anywhere that you had to make a reservation specifically for inside or outside — not even on the website. Everything seemed fine, until we were suddenly sent away from our table because “someone else wanted to sit outside”. To our surprise, we were given the choice: either move inside or leave. There was no sign on the table, there was no clear communication in advance, and yet our place was given to someone else. Very unprofessional and unfriendly to customers. If you work with reservations as a business, at least make sure you have clear agreements and respect for the guests who are already seated. Unfortunately, this ruined the whole experience. We will not be coming back here.

Good food quickly served by friendly staff. The “PeperZout Special” is highly recommended. As far as dessert is concerned, the San Sebastian cheesecake is also very good. They serve halal options (meat), but also have a bar filled with liquor and other alcoholic drinks. Very conflicting and not nice in my opinion. Halal “food”, but not a halal “restaurant”. Hopefully they decide to review this in the future and get rid of the alcohol.

Delicious food!!! Lots of variety. Also nice that they have many gluten-free options for my daughter. Great service. We will definitely come back here more often.

A short but wonderful visit. Upon arrival, the door is held open for you, which makes you feel very welcome right away. We were greeted warmly and were allowed to choose a table. A small restaurant but neat and warmly decorated. We didn't really have to ask or wait for anything because we were served at our beck and call. Everything came to the table super fast while the dishes all looked like they had been spent hours on them. That's certainly how it tasted! We ordered the lamb chops with rice and beyti with fries. A fresh salad and some sauces were also served with this. The meat was truly wonderfully tender and the charcoal grill flavor was great. I couldn't finish it all but that didn't matter because I was just given it to take home. The dessert was also something I could take home. The house lemonades are highly recommended. Not too sweet and wonderfully fresh! I'm sure we'll return here often to try the rest of the menu! The desserts are also very large portions and delicious to enjoy at home. Perfect locations nice ambiances and very good Turkish cuisine!

A bit pricey for a sandwich on a square. Outside there are tables and picnic tables without entourage. In the place where you are most sheltered from the wind there are large pipes of the parking garage. A brown mozzarella sandwich is one slice of toasted brown bread with a plate full of arugula and some mozzarella balls. The taste was good.

A real gem outside of Amsterdam The restaurant is about 20 minutes by car from Amsterdam - the short drive out into nature was really good for us. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, we were able to relax in a quiet, modern and stylish atmosphere and enjoy the excellent Turkish cuisine. The restaurant manager was extremely warm, greeted us very friendly and said goodbye - a real man of honor! The food was of the best quality, lovingly prepared and an absolute highlight in terms of taste. Parking spaces were available free of charge Available 👍 We'll definitely be back!

Unbelievably authentic and tasty Turkish cuisine in Haarlem. In fact, I have tried many many Turkish restaurants in Amsterdam as well and I feel PeperZout is the best. My Adana kebab was perfect, my partner ordered the somon special and another one Gveche...all items were perfect. Highly recommend this lovely gem in Haarlem

PeperZout is a beautiful and well located modern restaurant with Turkish (Mediterranean) roots in the city of Haarlem. The Adana Kebab dish was delicious. I recommend to reserve a spot with the friendly personnel, because it can be fully booked on certain days.

The food was delicious! Everything came quickly and without a long wait. Upon request, the main courses were only served once we had finished the starter. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The furnishings and ambience are cozy and inviting, the light is not too bright but very pleasant.

Had dinner with you last night and asked clearly in advance a few times whether you offered something gluten-free and lactose-free. My girlfriend also asked a few times by telephone and also walked in once if there was a choice for me, you said no problem. The food was tasty but there was very little that could be adjusted, no fries, no rice, a pity about a missed opportunity for you and you will not see us again.

If I'm ever in haarlem always there for a halal steak. Nice desserts

PeperZout in Haarlem is an absolute must. Their Turkish Mediterranean cuisine is tastefully extensive and combines sublime taste with Dutch down-to-earthness. The lovely Mandy is an excellent hostess. It is nice to see that the clientele is very mixed but mainly Dutch. Another sign that this restaurant appeals to everyone and is the place to eat Turkish food in Haarlem.

Went for breakfast last Tuesday with 3 friends, breakfast was delicious, but I don't think the young lady who helped us was in the mood for it. Even though there are 3 of us, we all had to choose the same omelet, which is strange, don't we all pay separately for ourselves? And she waited until all 3 of us had finished our tea, apparently she didn't want to walk back and forth twice. The rest of the meal was fine.

Had lunch here, really good tapas and nice lemonades, if we'd stopped here this would be a 5 star review. The burgers however, some overcooked mystery meat, the cheese still fresh inside it. Even McDonalds is better than this at half the price or less. We had 3 burgers between us and all of us left them on the table.

Breakfast was delicious, everything came hot and fresh! tomatoes, olives, cheese, Turkish sausage from A to Z, you can taste that they buy quality and cheap cheese/sausage or tomatoes without flavor. even those come with a touch of spice. Staff, especially the ladies, could be more alert. Gentlemen TOP alert, spontaneously friendly both on the floor and behind the bar/cash register. See you again soon!!!

Christmas dinner done. Really tasty and good food. Affordable. Service-oriented and friendly staff. A really welcome feeling. We were even asked if we wanted a bag for the dessert that someone in the group could no longer eat. Highly recommended in my opinion.

I came for a Turkish breakfast but the experience was bad. The staff was way too pushy and came over way too often even after we told them we weren't done yet. It felt like they wanted us out quickly. The breakfast was far too little for the price. The food was disappointing. I definitely won't be coming back here.

We were absolutely thrilled by the combination of perfectly seasoned dishes, freshly prepared side dishes and a beautiful presentation. The sauces and curry in particular were an absolute highlight – creamy, aromatic and full of flavor. The kebab was also tender and grilled perfectly. The service was quick and friendly, and the ambience created a pleasant, feel-good atmosphere. Absolute recommendation, I will definitely come back here!

What a lovely staff! With my twin stroller and two little ones, it is not always easy to find somewhere to eat. They made room for us in the restaurant and took my little ones into account. In addition, the food was super tasty. Highly recommended!

Last night we had dinner at Peper en Zout, and to be honest, it wasn't at all like everyone said. It was nothing but noise and bustle. Due to the noise we couldn't even hear what the waiter was saying. Filling such a small space to capacity and placing people next to each other like sardines was definitely not pleasant. As for the food: it was far from special. I ordered the mixed grill, but believe me, it was prepared and served in a sloppy manner. The Adana wasn't much better either. I won't drive 150 km to eat in such a tacky and noisy place again, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

Delicious Turkish food in the original Turkish way. Love it! Update a year later; PeperZout has now become our regular place for Turkish food - and that says something, since we are Turkish ourselves and usually prefer not to eat Turkish food out, but the quality here is really on a different level!! The dishes really taste as if they have been prepared with care and love, and the ambiance feels luxurious. The service is friendly and attentive, always with a smile. We have lost count of how many times we have eaten here, every time feels like a warm welcome. Recommended for anyone looking for really good Turkish food! Believe me, you won't find it this tasty and with such good service anywhere else.

Informal place. Delicious tapas. There were 6 of us and we ordered all the tapas (18). It was fun to try a lot and we were all completely full. Very pleasant service. I will look for the next opportunity to eat there again

Friendly service. Excellent food. Took a long time for a yogurt. Too bad there was a large dirty ashtray in front of the entrance, not really a welcomed sight. I pointed it out to the staff but nothing was done about it. Toilets were clean.

Today we had a fantastic evening in this Turkish restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt welcome by the warm and friendly service. The interior is cozy and neat, which immediately creates the right atmosphere for a culinary trip through Turkey. The food was truly delicious! Every bite was an explosion of flavors, deliciously prepared and served with love. From the tender kebabs to the delicious meze, everything was perfectly seasoned. My wife took the salt and pepper mix and it was delicious, and I took the Beyti. The portions are also generous, so you really get value for your money. The service was fast, attentive (my wife's birthday was celebrated with baklava and the whole team sang for her! Super fun!) and always with a smile. They made us feel welcome and really made us feel at home. This is without a doubt a place we would like to visit more often. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm, welcoming environment! We can't wait to come back! Thank you Employees of Salt and Pepper.

Update* we went for dinner again and this time sat outside for the same tapas. The service was very friendly and the food was (still) excellent! But if my wife asks for a glass of tap water with her meal and you offer a bottle: don't arrive with a bottle of Chaudfontaine or at least mention this before presenting the bill. We had a delicious meal with an assortment of tapas. The food was excellent and the service, from reception to waiter, was super friendly. And parking in the free garage was so easy!

Yes, we ate delicious tapas. We weren't very hungry, so it was nice to be able to order small dishes. Everything was 👌🏽 service etc. Only the neighbor at the table next to me had sprayed half her bottle of perfume. The air made me feel sick. And it affected my enjoyment of my food. So please do it again without this experience😊

We had lunch here and it was so good that we will definitely go back for dinner. We ate the cold tapas and sat outside on the terrace to enjoy the beautiful weather. The food is delicious, everything has its own specific taste and it is all tasty. Unfortunately we were so hungry that I completely forgot to take pictures... The service is excellent, fast and correct. Parking is available in the parking garage, a two-minute walk away.

Just ate there. The girls and manager were super friendly and welcoming to us , a ragtag group of lost tourists. The food was great for the type of place and not more expensive than the next door greasy burger joint so bang for the buck. I only regret not getting the phone number of the floor manager, because she was the prettiest woman I've seen in the Netherlands so far!

A nice restaurant and a nice reception. A quiet restaurant and the food was delicious. It needs some salt. I recommend making a menu in Arabic and English, not just Dutch. For the sake of coincidence, the cook was a Syrian Arab man and he introduced himself as being from Idlib. He is a nice man and they offered us the Syrian muhammara as a hospitality dish. A nice and repeatable experience.

Went to eat for the first time today. I had a lentil soup as a starter. Soup was not tasty at all, too many spices and burnt. Before the starter came it certainly took longer than half an hour for some soup? Ordered Lokum and wanted the meat medium. Meat arrives well done. Employees were friendly.

It’s a beautiful place to eat and enjoy the food. Manager + worker was very friendly and kind. Price is acceptable for the quality of food we got served. Service was a 10/10. I would recommend it mostly for the people who come from other countries to visit the Netherlands.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. I can't agree with the rave reviews at all. First of all, the entire order pretty much went wrong. Secondly, both the chops and the tenderloin were more than well done, even though we ordered medium. There is also something wrong with the speed of serving, as if the dishes were already pre-cooked. Our main course arrived on the table within 5 to 10 minutes, how? The fries, which they had forgotten, were also there within 1 minute. That is not possible. Fries also very salty. To top it all off, I walked out feeling nauseous and threw up the entire meal. Literal. Overall the worst experience this year. Let's say the last 5 years.

Had a delicious meal with my partner for our 4 year anniversary. Beautiful place on the water with very attentive staff and a finger-licking menu. We had a number of different tapas, with Turkish bread and mocktails. Top! We will definitely come back this summer and hopefully be able to eat outside.

Very nice restaurant! Beautiful interior & you can also sit outside. Good service from friendly employees and delicious food! (The menemen just wasn't what I'm used to, tasted a bit different & too large pieces of tomato were present. My girlfriend thought the carpaccio was delicious again!)

Thanks to pepper salt, I had a sad Mother's Day. When we got there we ordered 2x pepper salt special mix. After waiting 1 hour and insisting, we were told; 'we have lost your order' what did you order again? ' My mother-in-law rightly raged about this. It promised to be a fun Mother's Day. It was also a special moment for me, my first Mother's Day with my mother-in-law, which I was really looking forward to. A gentle apology was offered. But we did have to pay for our starters. No guilt or anything. Any man with a modicum of honor would at least not make you pay.

I come here often and every time I leave the restaurant with a smile. The food, service and atmosphere are always great! One of the few restaurants that performs top in every area. Compliments to the employees and owners!

Once but never again. Way too expensive for what is put on the table. Serving and hosting is a profession and not for students. If you ask such prices, you can also do something extra as an operator. Cheesecake with red fruit. That fruit was exactly half a strawberry, two blueberries and a little sauce. Do something with it, but you'll never see us again.
