I do not recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone who wants to eat serious Italian cuisine. The pasta was overcooked, the service slow and the prices high.

The lasagna was delicious, the host was super warm and welcoming and there was lovely cat!

We arrived about 30 minutes. We went to the restaurant before work and got a delicious Margherita pizza and bruschetta. The pizza had super creamy cheese that melted in your mouth! Really recommended. The bruschetta looked bland, but the taste was a 10 out of 10. The waiter had very tasty oils ready for us at the table. The ambience and the restaurant is very simple but inviting. I can only recommend it!

We went to this restaurant out of necessity for the children who wanted to eat something Italian after several days. We had a good time, a very pleasant and very friendly welcome. Service a little slow, cost slightly high but in line with the rest of the restaurants. Good pizza. Advised

Tasteless and terribly bad food I spent 55 euros here. the pizza was tough and hard and unedible, the gnocchi was hard and chewy. only the ice cream and espresso are here only the young man who works in the service is okay and not hygienic that there is a cat on the windowsill pets do not belong in a restaurant but at home. I don't feel the love in the food here. Don't eat here it's not worth it.

Super tasty stone oven pizza served by the friendly Italian. We recommend! It's a shame that there are only two small tables outside for two people each. And if the awning had been extended, it would have created even more ambience. But that's moaning at a high level. For the pizza again and again! The tiramisu was also delicious and the bruschetta and pasta at the next table also looked delicious

You could easily walk past this place thinking it’s not much to look at. I would have, until an Italian friend told me it was some of the best pizza in Amsterdam. And he was right! Good food, friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. I’m a local and I go here regularly. Try it!

A great place with a very friendly waiter who will do his best to understand your preferences and make you satisfied. The food is good but I can't call it great. I tried the pizza and the problem was that they don't use the best quality of cheese. Also the dough wasn't the best I have ever tried. They cook fantastic eggplant though which I definitely recommend.

The entire experience at the restaurant gives cozy, local mom&pop restaurant. The place only had one waiter & one cook but you wouldn’t have guessed it by the level of service and quality of food you get. We ordered the carpaccio, gnocchi, the vegeterian ravioli, the margherita pizza & the atla pizza. Everything was delicious. The only thing that I wouldn’t recommend is the tiramisu, was okay, but not great. The cat was an added bonus

If you’re looking to connect with locals rather than the bland, samey, touristy alternatives, I highly recommend Pizza Taxi. Easy walk from the Pijp Metro station and trolly stop. A block from the Bicycle Hotel. Several vegetarian options for pizza— I enjoyed the Taxi (see menu shots). I saw others eating lasagna and it looked good too. The waiter (didn’t catch his name) was friendly, willing to talk, and brought everything to the table with cordial conversation. Pizza was great! Perfect balance of freshness, crunchy/chewy crust, not too heavy on the cheese. Olive oil and red pepper-infused olive oil are provided on the tables. We had a wonderful Italian beer too. There’s outdoor tables but sitting inside was comfortable too with the door open so we could still sample the outdoor evening atmosphere. I think our waiter was the owner and there was lots of colorful/authentic banter going on, making me think it is a family-run affair. Please support them! Sorry I forgot to get photos of my pizza before I ate it!

Suuuuch good authentic Italian food from Napoli. I cannot say enough about the food and service. Clearly a local favorite. As many came in with a happy exchange with the owner. The owner was equally kind and attentive to us. You’re not gonna get this quality or service at Loulou’s Pizza or anywhere else. This is it!

Small place with friendly staff. Focaccia was basically pizza crust, not the thick fluffy bread I expected.

Welcomed and fed well by our host, who explained the dishes and beers. The food was basic but well made and tasty. We enjoyed our meals. There were a few others in the restaurant, and it was pleasant enough. The only slight downside for us was the cat wandering around, although it never approached us. This may be a positive to some, but being allergic to cats, it was not enjoyable for us.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Italian. Fresh, flavourful food. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Cannot fault it in any way. So glad I chose to eat here.

We were looking for a place to have Italian food and we came across this place. I was surprised at how good the food was. We ordered pizza and gnocchi, and both were very good! The only downside for me was the atmosphere. They assigned us a table next to an Italian family with VERY loud kids; they even punched our table while we were eating, not good. But for the rest, it was a good experience, and I would recommend trying it once at least.

Tasty food, great service and genuine cozy vibe. As it should be but quite rare in Amsterdam. Also one of the few places where you are welcome with kids too.

I had a gelato and carbonara. The food was great and so was the service. Unfortunately they do not accept credit cards and I didn’t have cash on hand so I had to go to an ATM nearby with a friendly staff and withdraw money to pay. I walked into the place seeing the cat chilling on the window sill and hoping I would get to pet him. He didn’t pay me much attention and yawned when I approached him. 15/10 would recommend the place to meet the catto alone, if not for the great Italian food!

Everything about this place is perfect. You walk in, and you’re home. Greeted and treated like royalty by the amazing host, Bruno, and the magical chef, Paolo. You’re at your nonno’s house, ready to pass out on the most beautiful food coma. Maraviglioso!

We felt very comfortable and welcome from the very first moment. I'm Italian myself and felt right at home. Even a very special request of mine for a speciality from Naples (panuozzo salsicca e fiarelli) was catered for and even served personally by the chef. I don't know how he was able to find the extra ingredients for this, but it tasted just like in Naples, delicious. The friendliness of the whole team made it a perfect evening. We have found a new favourite restaurant for our future Amsterdam holidays. We are looking forward to next year. Grazie mille

Went here with two friends and absolutely loved it! The Atmosphere is authentic Italian it feels like you are in Italy. The food is fantastic and soooo tasty.The Tiramisu was to die for! The chef even prepared a specific Neapolitan dish for my friend that wasn’t even on the card. Was a Great experience will definitely visit again.

I’d say Pizza Taxi has one of the most customer friendly owners! The restaurant has a cozy environment and feels so traditional! Unfortunately, I would not say that they have the best pizza in Amsterdam. The dough was not really good and the topings could have been more. But the tiramisu was good.

After good reviews on Google I gave it a chance. Saturday evening completely empty and truly never had such bad food. 4 people leave 80 percent really, truly the dirtiest pizzas in Amsterdam. The cook or owner is staring angrily from the kitchen all the time like a scary guy. Staff is ice cold Also a super dirty cat that walks around there all the time. Handy for all mice, but allowing this to roam around in public. This is really too dirty Really 1 star is too much 🤢🤢🤢 There are very good pizzerias in the area Even a domino on the other side, not special, but much better than this. A limoncello at the end was nice, but after all we had to eat it was still worthless

Pizza not that good, lots of tasty toppings but base and tomatoes bland. Dough a bit dry and one had lumps of black soot. These were larger (1cm) than just dust/flour from the stone in the oven I assume from where the pizza was placed to near the wood or where other pizzas had burned in the past. The high rating is not deserved.

I've been here a few times and I always enjoyed it. Pizza Marinara here is authentic and the ham they use on the other pizzas is delicious. Make sure to try their red wine as well!

Indrukwekkend hoe 1 persoon de zaterdagavond met de grootste vriendelijkheid een blijvend vol restaurant kan bedienen! We waren met 8 man en hebben zeker zo’n 3 uur in het restaurant gespendeerd. Het eten was heerlijk. De sfeer was zeer goed, we voelden ons erg thuis. We hebben kunnen lachen met de eigenaar en de man die ons serveerde. Die ons overigens met veel geduld en op een leuke manier bleef bedienen, want we waren een beetje (nogal) uitbundig. Ik wil zeker nog eens terug gaan.

Erg lekker gegeten, de bruschetta en de pizza’s waren echt heerlijk! We waren met zijn 2en en wilden eerst ook nog focaccia bestellen maar dat werd ons afgeraden omdat het anders te veel zou zijn en dat klopte want ook zonder de focaccia was het meer dan genoeg. Het adviseren om iets niet te nemen vond ik erg klantvriendelijk, ze hadden er ook voor kunnen kiezen om niets te zeggen en meer te verdienen

5 stars across all aspects. Arrived here, was no room outside, they created room for us. Very welcoming. And then the FOOD QUALITY! I've been hunting the Real Italian (Napoli) pizza for 5yrs, and this is where we found it. On top of that, best espresso and the most funny host/owner. 5 STARS
