We had a wonderful meal at Restaurant Prins Caspian, with flavorful, fresh, and tender meat. The soltani (one dish) and the bakhtiyari (one dish) were super delicious. The Bastani sonati, chai with nabaat, and rolet (rollet) were the perfect finishing touch. Compliments to the hostess and chef. 🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍

Delicious food and friendly service, highly recommend

The traditional Persian ice cream and the tea were perfect. The foods just tasted like home food, even better. Their menu availability is based on the week days. The only issue was that it was difficult to find. It's in a building where other businesses are there and you need to pay attention to the signs in front of the building to make sure that you have spotted the right place.

My personal suggestion is to not go to this restaurant at all. If you are on a diet or have a stomach ache. Because you will definitely come out with a stomach ache. Wow, how delicious it was, oh my god.

Caspian Catering helped us with our wedding in early June. We are very satisfied. Communication was smooth and pleasant, and the food was fresh and delicious. We received compliments from several guests about the delicious food!

Delicious. The aubergine starter and the ice creams were a particular highlight. Good bread too. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Am surprised its not busier! Just avoid the yoghurt drink unless your palate likes sour milk :D I suspect it was authentic and good quality but also something you need to grow up drinking.

Caspian seems the only place in Utrecht that you may have have Persian food. It's not downtown but not too far. You need to take a tram. The restaurant seems part of a church. The Persian couple who manage the restaurant are nice and friendly. We ordered Ghormeh Sabzi and Dugh. It was tasty 😋

What an incredibly delicious meal we had here. The owners make everything themselves and the meat was butter tender. The atmosphere, they really tried to make something of it but they are in a community center so that makes it a bit difficult. But did we mind, no not at all. The food came first for us. Price/quality a big 10. We will definitely come again

A very good and surprising (neighborhood) restaurant. Authentic details. Open from Thursday to Saturday. Food was well prepared, tasteful. They also have a herb garden. Alcoholic drinks are not available. But we actually didn't miss them. Saffron ice cream is highly recommended. But there are also many more flavors of ice cream available, if you have an aversion to saffron ice cream.

We were looking for a restaurant to celebrate our 7th anniversary and chose this place because we wanted to try a new cuisine. Upon entering we were surprised that we were in a community center and that there were all kinds of activities in the building; bicycle repair, sewing workshop, you name it. The atmosphere was very good and we felt welcome. I eat vegetarian and the owner thought along with me and had a vegetarian version of a dish on the menu made for me with eggplant instead of meat. Delicious food and also tried the yoghurt drink with mint; Strange taste, a bit salty like buttermilk, but it went well with the food. Baklava is also recommended for dessert. We will come again!

When we came here a year ago, the food and service were incredible, and we felt at home. Unfortunately, we took our family here today and are sorry to say that the quality of the food has declined a lot. The kabab barg remains very good, but the others, especially the jooje kabab, were terrible.

We found the food really good for the price. The service was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience in specific atmosphere they had. The variety of ice creams for dessert and the selection of side dishes were very interesting, and we highly recommend trying them. Don't forget to enjoy the delicious black tea! Delicious Persian meal at Prins Caspian. The staff is very friendly and helpful, very good service. On Saturdays they have all kinds of different types of kebab, all deliciously prepared with quality meat. Portions are more than enough. Definitely recommended!

It was my first time eating here. Food was delicious and Sasan and Shirin are super hospitable. Definitely recommended for a nice meal in a cozy restaurant at an affordable price.

Such a cute persian corner restaurant with traditional food (my mom approved, so you know it’s good), they also had vegetarian options. The homemade saffraan ice cream reminded us of our childhood. The owners are very friendly and served us with care, can’t wait to be back!

This Persian restaurant is a hidden gem. Located near central Utrecht, hidden in a very modest building, is a kitchen with tastes that delight and make you wish you could try everything on the menu. The ash was wonderful, the fesenjoon was a show stopper. The home made ginger and pomegranate ice creams will almost make you eat your fingers. Highly recommended.

This restaurant stood out because of its high reviews and the promised 'traditional Persian dishes'. The restaurant is easy to reach by public transport, the 'Kanaleneiland shopping center' tram stop is a ~5-minute walk away. The employees are friendly and happy to help you decide what the best choice is. It is a pity that when we ordered white wine, we received a different bottle the second time than the first time. A part of the building has been cordoned off with room dividers to create the restaurant. There are also raised seating areas where you can eat traditionally on a carpet or seating areas at a table. There is no air conditioning inside and since the sun shines on the windows of the restaurant in the afternoon, it gets very hot quite quickly. This has been tried to solve with fans. I think the food is very expensive for what you get (~20 euros for the food in the picture in this review). The images on the menu do not match the quantity and design of what you actually get. In addition, the meat is not particularly seasoned or tender and is sparsely prepared.

We ordered and shared 2 main stew dishes: Fesenjan and Zereshkpolo Ba Morgh. The Zereshkpolo Ba Morgh tasted good and the Fesenjan was delicious. The pistachio & saffron ice cream and Persian tea & cookie are a good choice to finish your diner at Prins Caspian. The hospitality of the owners was excellent! The restaurant is hidden in a Buurtcentrum but don't let that stop you from tasting their homemade food.
