Ramen-Ya in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

Terrible food. It tasted like water with a stock cube – absolutely no flavor. The noodles were overcooked, like cheap store-bought pasta. The egg was just a plain boiled egg and had nothing to do with real ramen. The tea was disgusting – it smelled bad and had no taste at all, no additions, nothing. The service leaves a lot to be desired. I will not come back and do not recommend this place to anyone. A complete waste of time and money.

Absolutely awful! Supermarket noodles all stuck together! Undercooked pork for €20? I don't recommend it! The broth was completely bland. They should find another line of work!

I have not once in my life eaten ramen this bad. Got two of the vegeterian options, one was bland, barely tasted like anything while the other one tasted burnt for some reason. The noodles were way too thin. Horrible food. Service was okay

It's very average, nothing special, we had different ramens they all tasted bland, it is affordable however it isn't worth the price. The ramen broth was very bland, as were the noodles. The same song on repeat for 40 min. Just go to any takumi (cheaper and more tasty).

Waiters didnt even gave a glance, we had to struggle so much to get in Very difficult to catch waiters, its a very rare pokemon. When we get one and ask for tap water, they dont give any unless you ask a second time

Been here a few times. Very good ramen, highly recommend. I like their hakata shayu. In the past I had it the salt based one, and back then I did not like it as much, until I tried the soy based version, and loved it. Their homemade iced teas are also amazing.

We had a fantastic time at Ramen-Ya! A really great restaurant with super friendly staff! We ordered chicken sesame ramen and spicy ramen with gyoza as starters! Really delicious, very generous portions, and the waiter was very nice! I highly recommend this place 😊 + the mint lemonade is delicious 🤤

I had a wonderful evening eating ramen, thanks in part to the friendliness of the waiters. The ramen was excellent, despite being in one of the most risky areas of Amsterdam. This place has been added to my list of places to eat when I'm in Amsterdam.

Very tasty Ramen? I had the chicken sesame, so I can only imagine the tonkotsu is even better. Good piece at $16 plus an extra egg: perfect winter dinner spot right along the canal. Service is friendly, you pay at the counter after you are done.

Unfortunately, it was the worst ramen I've ever had. It was incredibly bland, tasteless, and lacking in salt. Also, if both customers didn't eat most of their food and instead took two forks and left, they obviously didn't like it, and charging for food they didn't eat is incredibly rude.

We went to Ramen-Ya as a big group and the experience was great. The food was delicious and very quickly. It was the first time in my life that I actually enjoyed pork meat and I can recommend Hakata Deluxe Shoyu. The employees were very kind and helpful. I will definitely come back! Thank you 🤍

If you like ramen, please go somewhere else. If you’ve never had ramen, please go somewhere else because you will never want it again. Never have i tasted such sad, bland noodles. The ingredients feel store-bought and cheap. The gyozas and edamame were definitely frozen. Very overpriced for what it offers. the 4.2 rating seems outlandish to me

The worst ramen ever. I don't know why it got many good reviews ???? One bite and I almost threw up!!! I ordered kimchi ramen whose taste is aweful and the chicken charsiu is not charsiu, it's simply plain slice of boiled chicken. The smell is disgusting.

Delicious food, the restaurant is in the basement, has a simple and straightforward design, and the air conditioning/ventilation is sometimes very loud. Expensive food, but that's probably normal in Amsterdam.

Ramen-ya, more like ramen-OH YA, if I died drowning face down in a bowl of THEIR RAMEN i would have fully completed my life here on Earth. This experience transcended me. I have zero digestive issue after eating here which is RARE for me and ramen, our relationship could be described as 'rocky'. But jokes aside good bowl of ramen will be back for more👍

This is possibly the best food ive ever eaten. After the first bite, I completely lost my attention to the rest of the table and kept enjoying the food for the next 30 minutes, every bite was amazing. It was a big bowl so I took it for takeaway after and just had it for brealfast and its still so good. This is my favourite restaurant now.

It was high-key bad. The broth was tasteless. There was a slice of tomato floating in my ramen. Wouldn't recommend.

Ramen: excellent, as an Asian who has tried soooo much ramen, especially homemade Service: awesome!!! Such a kind server who made us feel welcomed Atmosphere: underground eating area that was nicely air conditioned while it was super hot outside. Felt cosy but not too confined! Super glad I could enjoy one of my favorite foods during this heat because I was so comfortable. Again, the ramen was amazing. I got the white miso ramen and my boyfriend got the shoyu soy sauce ramen and we both devoured!!! Ordered with a side of kimchi and it was spicy! Just what I wanted. This lunch cheered me up and made me happy :)

Went back after years. The food was good, but the same as the first time. The service was very poor. They forgot my drinks twice... it happens. But then they pretended not to speak Dutch while he was speaking Dutch with his colleague. Very disappointing.

I was here 8 years ago and it tasted as good as i remember. I did not see much worn stuff so they do their maintenance. Bonus points for saving my umbrella. I left it at my seat and was able to retrieve it later that day. TY!

I been here a couple times still always have a good taste original

Served raw chicken karaage. It was literally pink and frozen on the inside. Would not recommend. Ramen was super bland. You could get better ramen from a cup at the supermarket.

Awful. I have eaten ramen in all sorts of places... Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Texas, and even Iceland. This ramen is by far some of worst I've ever had. Three bites and and I had to stop because it was so bad. Do not expect authentic Japanese flavors. It's like the cook had no idea what ramen is supposed to taste like. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

The place was really great. The only problem was that the ramen water was very salty.

Will be definitely coming back. I asked them if I could have my ramen without menma, and they asked me if I'd like more of something else instead. I asked them if it was possible to have an extra egg and they were ok with that! Their egg is the highlight anyway so I am really happy with the offer!

One of the best ramens in Amsterdam!

A very good ramen, perfect for a gourmet break. The noodles are delicious, firm, just right. The bowl of ramen is generous and filling, with fresh and well-balanced ingredients. You leave feeling quite satisfied. The decor is quite simple, without fuss, but the place is functional. A big plus: the restaurant is open all day, which is very convenient for stopping in outside of peak hours. Be careful when taking the stairs, which can be a bit steep. In short, a good place to enjoy quality ramen.

Best gyoza I've had that was not home made.

Cozy restaurant, frendly staff. My partner and I had the chicken gyoza and pork buns. The gyoza was the best I've had that was not home made. Crispy on the bottom and soft on the top 🤤 The pork buns were delicious æ, juicy and had a little bit of spice that made it pop more. Amazing, will come back!

I didn't like the taste of the food at all, I don't recommend it.

The taste was very bland and it's a red flag tbh when the food for 3 arrived within 2 minutes. Proper ramen is prepared for hours. Now I'm not gonna say I wanna wait hours but it's clear it's just warmed up – even the meat which is sad at this price point. How come a McDonald's manages to prepare it freshly yet a ramen restaurant can't? It wasn't even full. There were maybe 8 people max sitting at the time. So they got plenty of time to prepare it correctly.

Meat ramen was 4/5 but nothing special in Amsterdam in general, and I highly recommend pork bun, 5/5. But unfortunately vegetarian ramen was terrible, broth absolutely no taste, only oil. Size of ramen was really good and price is also okay, but I give 3 stars because of vegetarian options.

Ramen is good, slightly dense, and chasu is moist. The buns were soft and flavorful. Portion is huge so think about sharing lol. Best ramen we've had in Amsterdam so far!

One of the best places in Amsterdam for ramen. The interior was beautiful and aesthetically decorated. Only thing I wished they played traditional japanese music which would have gone with the ambience better. For starters we had chicken gyoza which was fine although the filling could be better. I had kimchi ramen which was adequately spiced with an excellent flavour profile. My husband had traditional hakata ramen. The meat was tenderly cooked with a flavourful broth and the dish was alright.

The restaurant seems really mysterious I like it! The ramen was good and the karaage chickens were also good.

meat was mildly cold & the flavor was painfully average. salad i got was great however i came for ramen not salad. i ended up getting sick that night and i wont blame the cold meat as i also ate other things that day, but i cant say it wasnt the ramen either as everything else i ate tasted fine…

Surprised that Tonkotsu shoyu taste was better, similar original Japanese shop level. Good taste, and chashu was quite big and good taste, too Only fat lady staff was bad service and I had bad behavior from her... She needs to think about her face when she speak, she must not show any annoying face in front of customer. Only this was minus point, unfortunately. Taste is good!

Nice spot for Ramen! The atmosphere is great. They only had 2 non pork broth options so my options were limited. But the veggie option was delicious. Dumplings were also so so good!

Great ramen, even better bao buns. Also loved their vegan kimchi. I am allergic to shellfish unfortunately and with never knowing if kimchi has some type of fish juice/sauce that could contain it, it is great when I see 'vegan' in front of kimchi on a menu. Would go here again
