The soup is too oily, unable to drink. And it’s not even hot. For those who wants to have a hot ramen, find other places else.

Always a favorite, at any time of day.. haven't found a better place for windows yet.

Service was super friendly and also quick! Food was good + large recommendations. If you love ramen then I highly suggest this place!

I will keep it short here, I have never eaten anything so tasteless in my entire life. The noodle soup had no flavor; there was no salt in it. Severely disappointed; store-bought aiki noodles are 10 times better.

If you’re looking for legitimate, good tasting ramen, please go elsewhere. Our family of five didn’t even finish half the ramen because the broth doesn’t taste like Japanese ramen. There was an odd, off flavor to the entire bowl. Meat was mostly fat and not much substance. Also located in high tourist area so it seems they’re going for quantity over quality.

This was the some of the best ramen I’ve had! Really close to the one I’ve had in Tokyo! Great prices at well! Loved it! I eat here twice on my trip! Highly recommend!

Really recommend this one, the tonkotsu ramen had a genuinely rich, good broth, easily the highlight of the meal. The karaage and edamame were both great as well, no weak dish across the table. Food came out fast, which was a nice surprise, but billing at the end took noticeably longer, so budget a bit of extra time when you're ready to wrap up. On price, expect under twenty euros per person including a drink, good value for the quality. One important thing to know before you go: the space is accessed via stairs down to the dining area, so it's not wheelchair or mobility friendly. Aside from that, the interior itself was decent. Best specifically for the tonkotsu ramen, that's the dish to go for, and for anyone who values fast kitchen service getting food to the table quickly. Just be prepared for a slower billing process at the end, and note the stairs-only access if mobility is a concern.

This is my to go place for a nice dinner whenever i go out with friends or by myself. Nothing better than a nice bowl of savoury ramen on a busy afternoon. It’s a good value bang for your buck place. The staff is super nice, and I never had any bad experiences here. Deff recommend ❤️

I was at the Japanese Noodle restaurant this hot summer evening. Down a flight of stairs, I entered the wonderfully cool dining area. Large round tables surrounded by benches, each seating about 8 people. The attentive staff handed us the menu and shared some details. There was plenty of choice regarding meat, shrimp, poultry, or vegetarian options. Ramen-ya Amsterdam has been around since 2014 and has really established itself. You sit comfortably and quickly receive a delicious bowl of very hearty soup. I went for the standard size. As for what the extra must look like? I can't imagine one person finishing that in an evening. I had the Ramen with one chili pepper, an indication of how spicy it was. For me, it was just right. Just like the salad with miso and the fizzy watermelon drinks. There are many nice non-alcoholic drinks on the menu, including Asian beer, whether 0.0% or with a higher alcohol content. A lovely, informal spot in the center of Amsterdam where enjoyment comes first. Besides dining in, they also offer takeaway.

Delicious Ramen! We had the Sesame Chicken with a very rich broth (Shoyu: soy sauce based). The Ebi Furai was amazing as a side dish. The home made Iced Tea was sweet and perfect. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend this spot! On Saturday it was pretty busy, so I recommend to book in advance.

The veggie ramen was very weak. The broth was like regular broth, with no deeper flavors. The tomato in the soup was raw. There was no hand soap in the restroom.

The place itself was also so-so, with an unpleasant odor. Plus, there was raw tomato in the ramen. Overall, I won't be back!

During my visit to Ramen-Ya, I tried their signature ramen, and it certainly did not disappoint. The broth was rich, full of flavor, and perfectly balanced. The restaurant is in the basement, so there's no natural light. A shame during the day. The food was okay, but unfortunately nothing special. The vegetarian option was better than the pork one. The service was excellent.

I had to throw up after 5 minutes, my wife had diarrhea!! The food looked good but didn't really taste 100%, so I thought it wasn't to my taste. Went outside and started feeling nauseous, got the feeling that it needed to come out. Went to Bijenkorf and everything came back up. My wife had diarrhea, also within 5 minutes. I will never eat there again.

The Tonkatsu ramen was pretty good, but not great. The noodles were just regular spaghetti, and kind of lumpy. The egg was good, and the broth was good. But all together it was just OK.

An evening out with four dining companions. We rated the ramen an average of 6.5. Pretty okay, however, simple ingredients that negatively affect the entire dish. As a result, the salt takes too much attention. In my opinion, a bit too easy, and I miss the love for the dish (as they say themselves). Ambiance and service were fine.

Came here ages ago, thought I might as well leave a review. The portion you got was pretty big. I had a really spicy ramen at the time during summer so i was definitely sweating. Though it was super tasty. The biggest highlight that I can't forget about was honestly entering the restaurant and the interior design. It was something new for me personally. Definitely planning on coming back here sometime in the future

Excellent food. This is one of our favorite ramen place in Amsterdam. I went with my colleagues for lunch about 8 people and we were served as soon as possible.

Very average ramen and broth wasn’t really good.

The ramen tasted like a 3/10 at best, and it was served almost cold. We also ordered ice cream, which we waited 25 minutes for. After that, it turned out the waiter forgot to write it down. I won't be back.

The noodles at the Hakata ramen were cooked to the perfect firmness, the pork chashu was delicious, the broth was a little salty, and the fried chicken was very tasty! The only downside was that they didn't serve iced water like they do in Japan!

The Hakata misou based was delicious 😋, this one is with pig meat They also have chicken variant, and vegetarian no worries👍🏾

One of the best Shoyu Tonkotsu ramens I've had. The soup was thick and delicious, the meat was tender and noodles were al dente and bunched up so it's easy to eat them. The service was warm and quick. We visited during the day. It's a bit expensive but the portion size is enough to fill you up for several hours. In the whole it's a definitive revisit kind of place for me.

A trip to Japan, while staying in the Netherlands

Maybe because I entered right when it opened, it felt like the noodles were boiled in broth, and the starch was so rich that it was difficult to swallow.

Terrible food. It tasted like water with a stock cube – absolutely no flavor. The noodles were overcooked, like cheap store-bought pasta. The egg was just a plain boiled egg and had nothing to do with real ramen. The tea was disgusting – it smelled bad and had no taste at all, no additions, nothing. The service leaves a lot to be desired. I will not come back and do not recommend this place to anyone. A complete waste of time and money.

I have not once in my life eaten ramen this bad. Got two of the vegeterian options, one was bland, barely tasted like anything while the other one tasted burnt for some reason. The noodles were way too thin. Horrible food. Service was okay

Waiters didnt even gave a glance, we had to struggle so much to get in Very difficult to catch waiters, its a very rare pokemon. When we get one and ask for tap water, they dont give any unless you ask a second time

Been here a few times. Very good ramen, highly recommend. I like their hakata shayu. In the past I had it the salt based one, and back then I did not like it as much, until I tried the soy based version, and loved it. Their homemade iced teas are also amazing.

We had a fantastic time at Ramen-Ya! A really great restaurant with super friendly staff! We ordered chicken sesame ramen and spicy ramen with gyoza as starters! Really delicious, very generous portions, and the waiter was very nice! I highly recommend this place 😊 + the mint lemonade is delicious 🤤

I had a wonderful evening eating ramen, thanks in part to the friendliness of the waiters. The ramen was excellent, despite being in one of the most risky areas of Amsterdam. This place has been added to my list of places to eat when I'm in Amsterdam.

Unfortunately, it was the worst ramen I've ever had. It was incredibly bland, tasteless, and lacking in salt. Also, if both customers didn't eat most of their food and instead took two forks and left, they obviously didn't like it, and charging for food they didn't eat is incredibly rude.

Very tasty Ramen? I had the chicken sesame, so I can only imagine the tonkotsu is even better. Good piece at $16 plus an extra egg: perfect winter dinner spot right along the canal. Service is friendly, you pay at the counter after you are done.

If you like ramen, please go somewhere else. If you’ve never had ramen, please go somewhere else because you will never want it again. Never have i tasted such sad, bland noodles. The ingredients feel store-bought and cheap. The gyozas and edamame were definitely frozen. Very overpriced for what it offers. the 4.2 rating seems outlandish to me

The worst ramen ever. I don't know why it got many good reviews ???? One bite and I almost threw up!!! I ordered kimchi ramen whose taste is aweful and the chicken charsiu is not charsiu, it's simply plain slice of boiled chicken. The smell is disgusting.
