An amazing japanese ramen restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. Just a few minutes from the red light district. The place is very nice and clean. The staff were nice and friendly. The service was quick and excellent. The ramen noodles were super delicious. The price was great for the value. They can make any noodles extra spicy if you want to. I went there with my local friends.

We were coming out of the Red Light District and were intrigued by the restaurant, we were not disappointed! The ramen was tasty, the place very beautiful and very clean, and the staff very kind and full of energy despite the restaurant almost closing.

Please warm me up in the cold Netherlands. Kimchi ramen is delicious. There's a lot of quantity, so you don't need to add any toppings. There are a lot of reviews saying it's salty, but it's less salty than Shin Ramyun and Buldak! The gyoza felt frozen haha. It's a shame it wasn't warm enough, but it was still delicious! If you need soup when it's cold, come here.

Quite authentic ramen, one of the better ones in Amsterdam. Both shoyu and miso ramen are great.

Great food, chill vibe and friendly service staff. The portions are big and filling, and the homemade drinks are deliciously refreshing

Atmosphere and service was good. Ramen broth was a little off and just tasted very salty.

The ramen at Ramen Ya tasted really good, but unfortunately there were some flaws that spoiled the overall impression. My egg was half unpeeled, and when I bit into it it was a big setback for me - unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the dish after that. The side dishes also left a lot to be desired: the edamame were unsalted and had a limp consistency, and the kimchi didn't convince me either. A big plus, however, was the friendly service, who went out of their way to make the stay pleasant. Overall solid, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Excellent ramen restaurant. We started with the okonomiyaki, followed by the hakata and sesame chicken ramen. The taste of everything was good, but nothing special. If you like creamy ramen soup, this place is definitely recommended.

Don't be fooled by the unattractive front, the room is in the basement, very spacious and the cuisine is very good. Friendly staff.

It seems to like a Chinese noodle instead of Japanese Ramen. But the taste is still ok.

Food: ordered Karakamen, very disappointed with the broth. Lacked depth of flavour and did not taste like it had been properly cooked tonkotsu for long enough. Or potentially some flour or starch was used to artificially thicken the broth. Onsen egg overcooked. Char siu was okay but not amazing, could have used a bit more char to bring out the flavour. Noodles were as advertised but also not the best in terms of handmade noodles, would have expected them to be fresh. Portion sizes correspond to price, ratings do not correspond to quality. Service: Came early and so service was great. Minus 1 point for payment at counter Atmosphere: Drab basement with outdated torn seating. Only wooden chopsticks available Conclusion: not sure how they have such high rating. Seems like kitchen is optimized for large service, skipping out on quality control. This tells me they are inconsistent

The atmosphere and service are very ok, but the ramen unfortunately leaves much to be desired. The worst I've ever eaten, I don't understand why it was bitter? We took two types of ramen and unfortunately a big disappointment

Calpis Melon is super tasty! The Chicken Ramen is full of flavor, with fresh ingredients, but a bit heavy after a while. The staff is very friendly, but unfortunately we sat next to an annoying French family #rude ​​😬

Very good & flavorful ramen. We had the tonkotsu miso and it was amazing. If you dont like very broth just have another broth because you leave the restaurant SUPER full. The gyozas were also very good! Will come back 1000%

Nice place for a not too expensive but tasty meal. I can't really call it atmospheric, but the food and service were nice. The food came really quickly, the ramen was already on the table 5 minutes after ordering. It is not a restaurant where you dine for long, but I was pleasantly surprised

Great experience in an unexpected location. You don't notice Ramen Ya as you walk by, but you certainly don't regret walking in. Service is friendly and fast and the food is excellent! Definitely an address to remember in Amsterdam

Food taste always good when you're hungry. Until you're not anymore. Then it's boring. But not bad in there. A bit Noisy.

Had some side dishes with rice and ramen! Food was good, service very helpful and super fast! We waited less than 5 minutes for the food. Definitely recommend the mochi ice cream; mango and passion fruit!

I love ramen, and past weeks I've tried quite few ramen restaurants, every restaurant offers same dish, yet it's taste each and every time is whole new experience. Today i've visited this restaurant only because it has high amount of good reviews, but my experience was not so great. I really like the atmosphere, it's quiet and calm. Service was ok, but i didn't like the fact that i was moved from the seats because it was closed and after a minute one of their collegues took same place we had at first. Now about why i've visited that restaurant in first place - ramen. In my opinion there are 3 main ingredients: broth, meat, and pasta, and I had kinda weird experience, pasta was really hot to eat, broth was warm and toppings cold, that makes me think that it was microwaved, also after we ordered plate was ready in max 3 minutes. Broth taste ok, but i felt it was a bit too thick compared to the taste. Pasta was difficult to eat because it was twisted, after a few minutes it became soft, and to the taste it felt like it was not homemade pasta but the pre made from the store. And as i've mentioned earlier, meat and other toppins was cold. I could not give more than 2 stars.

Very nice place. The ramen was not what I was used to as the broth was really thick. In terms on flavors, it was great. The noodle, in my opinion, was quite similar to instant noodle texture (not my personal favorite). The review is still 5 stars, as my personal preferences don’t matter here ☺️ I would say, this is a great comfort food on a cold day type of meal as it’s thick and super filling (expect a good coma).

100% the best ramen we’ve ever had. Atmosphere was great and service was efficient. Great for a group as well as there were 7 of us and they were very accommodating. Lots of space.

Phenomenal ramen, a beautiful restaurant, and a very kind and welcoming team! We loved our delicious Ramen-Ya meal and will definitely return in the future. One tip for friends/groups: they will likely need you to pay together (rather than on separate bills).

You really can't find real good food in Holland... I give up. Worst Ramen I've ever eaten! And there weren't even eggs in a Ramen restaurant... Raw onion, miso with rust flavor, pork belly was just the fat, non-traditional dough, they use noodle dough and not udon... A disappointment. Run away!!!

It was authentic pork bone ramen. The soup is thick and thick, and the large char siew is delicious. The staff are also kind.

I had this ramen and was super disappointed!!! The soup was tasteless, noodles thin (not thick like ramen noodles) and egg wasn't tasty either. I don't understand why people come here. Either I was really unlucky or this place got really bad ramen. And I have eaten Ramen a lot so I know what I talk about. I spent 20 euro and ate only noodles, no soup. If the waiter had asked for my opinion she would have got my honest feedback. Maybe she understood based on how little I ate..

Visited on 6.10.2024 with friends. Had ordered Sesame Chicken Ramen and Sesame Chicken Ramen with Kimchi, Kimchi Ramen, and along with Pork and Chicken Bao buns and shrimp tempura. It was De-Li-Ci-Ous. We all were happy, noodles were fresh and broth was good. Other condiments available on the table were helping to adjust the spice level depends on preference. Couldn’t praise more for equally scrumptious bao. Highly recommend! Prices incline slightly towards high but feels justified when the quality food is delivered.

I recommend it 100%. Exquisite ramen and charming waitresses in the service and with our 8-month-old girl, super attentive and affectionate. In addition, we were also able to eat with our dog. It was a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

The waiters were very friendly, but they did not know what to recommend me. so after I order a ramen I did not like at all I asked if I could please change it and the manager refused and did not even come himself to explain to me why. I thought this was a bit unprofessional and rude from the managers side, while the waitress was very kind. One of the worst ramens I have ever had, I would not repeat again.

Good atmosphere, but the ramen itself is not great. I’m from NY so have high standards for ramen. Broth tastes like straight miso paste and soy sauce. Doesn’t taste like it was simmered for long. The meat was okay but bland. Highlight was the gyoza. Solid. Overall, it seems like a “touristy” place to get ramen, not an authentic Japanese establishment.

I have tried many ramen and this was definitely the worst. I ordered the veggie ramen, the broth didn't taste good at all, the noodles left a lot to be desired and the vegetables weren't that good, they barely had any flavor. The place was cozy and the waiters were pleasant, but the experience was quite bad.

Save yourself the disappointment. Totally customer unfriendly, it concerns a basement without daylight and noddles are mediocre.

Amazing ramen with very large portions

GREAT staff. Was a challenge with our 2 year old little one. he made a mess. We wanted to clean it up ourselves, but staff immediately came to help. Ramen of course super tasty! Recommended next to the ramen is the pork bun. Super tasty and thank you very much🥳🥳

Worst Ramen I have ever had and very over priced. The noodle has a strong chemical smell. I believe the noodle they used is the packed noodle that bought from a supermarket. The soup is awful as well. Even the pork is cold. I don’t know where those five stars come from, the ramen here should be one star.

Amazing location in Amsterdam, very centric. However, I was told my ramen was not spicy (it also did not say so in the menu) and it ended up being so spicy I was not able to eat… the pork belly meat was incredibly good, tho.

I took the Hakata Shio ramen, a thick and creamy broth, good, but for lovers of spicier and more seasoned broths it may be too simple for the palate. Everything is accompanied by fresh pasta, chives, seaweed, half an egg and menma. Good for those who want a simple ramen.

I went in expecting Japanese ramen, so I was a little disappointed. The dumplings are probably the frozen ones you find in European supermarkets, and the ramen noodles are probably the dried egg noodles you find in Chinese grocery stores.

The food and staff were amazing!

The definition of eh/okay/average. Nothing was great across six bowls of three different types of ramen, but everything was edible. Only one person finished their bowl which should tell the story. Sake was okay.
