Tokyo Ramen Takeichi in Grachtengordel-Zuid

Wow… I slurped up my bowl in one go. It was so delicious. The starter (gyoza) wasn't very special, but the shoyu deluxe ramen was ridiculously good. After the noodles, I even spooned all the broth out of the bowl until there wasn't a drop left. If I were given the death penalty tonight, this would be my last meal.

If I could go back to get their Tantan ramen , I would go back everyday. The broth was so rich and flavourful.

I got really sick from the food; even without getting sick, the restaurant was not clean and everything was way too salty. Avoid this restaurant!

Incredibly rude - joined a friend at a small two person table. I was not hungry so just ordered a drink “NO NO NOT ALLOWED! Must order food!” I would understand if we had needed a larger table because of me joining, thus taking away potential business opportunity, but had I joined or not, my friend would have been seated at the same tiny table. Insane policy, no longer my neighborhood go to.

Everything was perfect, truly delicious, with a warm welcome. I highly recommend it! 👌🫶

Fast service, detailed menu, amazing food, great location. I ate the black garlic tantanmen and could have eaten nine more. Absolutely to die for, five stars, all around.

Having appreciated this place very much when it first started years ago, I am disappointed how it's deteriorated in the interim. The latest try of their 'most popular' deluxe shoyu overloaded with semi-raw cabbage, with soggy (meaning overcooked) noodles, and roughly sliced chicken chasiu, left me distinctly underwhelmed. Could be too many branches( greed?) Result, dilution in quality. Jammer!

Super tasty ramen, they have a lunch menu which was super convenient and staff was super friendly! Cosy space so it quickly gets busy but it didn't bother me that much.

I tried their karaage curry and it was really good, flavorful and comforting. The ramen was also very tasty and satisfying. Prices are quite reasonable for Amsterdam. The only downside was the long wait for the food, but the staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience still enjoyable. Overall, a solid Japanese spot I would recommend!

The curry is excellent, perhaps a little spicy, so be careful if you're sensitive to heat. The service is quick, efficient, and friendly. There was no wait for the food, yet it arrived piping hot. I recommend it.

During my study abroad, I was craving ramen, so I stopped by this restaurant while traveling in Amsterdam. I ordered the restaurant's recommended chicken broth and soy sauce ramen. From the soup to the noodles and toppings, it was incredibly authentic and delicious, just like the ramen I've had in Japan! The staff were very friendly and spoke both Japanese and English. I'll definitely visit again when I come back to Amsterdam. Thank you for the delicious meal! 😋

The food had this homemade fresh taste that just warms you up from the inside. The service was fast and kind - the girls working there run it like the navy. Everything is clean. I had some stomach pain before and with the help of the food it got better. Easy to recommend. Great experience, will definitely visit again.

Cute, small ramen shop with absolutely delicious and stunning food. We made a reservation since due to its limited tables and scrumptious food it can get quite busy. Food was spectacular, full of flavour and fresh as can be. No doubt I'm coming back for more!

As a Japanese person, I have tried many authentic ramen restaurants in the Netherlands, and I thought this was very delicious. I ordered the chicken shoyu. I recommend this. The Netherlands is a city of bicycles, so if you're trying to get used to the city, this is the place to visit. Bicycles can be dangerous, so please be careful if you're a tourist.

We went here as a graduation trip with five guys. It was a ramen shop, but we ended up ordering a fried chicken bowl, which put everyone in a panic, but the watered-down flavor made an even bigger impact than Korai. Some people said it was inferior to the quality you get in Japan, but that's completely untrue! The fried chicken bowl was so delicious you wouldn't even get it in Japan. It was better than my mother's cooking (although I'm from a single-parent household...sigh)!! The staff, including the female pro, were all incredibly friendly, and I think it's the best restaurant in Amsterdam! I'll definitely go again!!

It’s an ok Japanese ramen place but nothing special. If you were in the neighborhood and crave for ramen, this could be the place. Most of the dishes were either chicken or vegetarian based. The prawn tempura did not really use typical tempura coating, it was more like a normal deep fried prawn. The chicken karaage was a bit dry. The ramen broth was thick but the flavors were plain, it didn’t give any depth of flavors like a good broth should be. The chicken breast was very tender, out of my expectations.

It’s a very nice and cozy restaurant. The staff are Japanese and the chef is trained in Japan, so what you eat is almost totally authentic. The staff are very kind and friendly. My special suggestion: try white or red Tantanmen!

According to my opinion, this is the best ramen place in Amsterdam , and the closest to the authentic one! A Japanese friend brought me there and I have compared to what I’ve tried in Japan, definitely one of the best! Not like other ramen places, the soup is very thick and creamy , while other places’ ramen soups are mostly salty. The staff are also Japanese but they aren’t as friendly for some reason, I still would recommend this place for people who actually know what ramen is and want to have the authentic one !

My partner and I jokingly call this one of our hidden sunshine spots and it truly is! You get to sit near the street which nobody does until you sit there and then they want to! People stroll by, sun is shining and the food is great. I always go for the red tantanmen. Spicy, thick and flavorful! My partner always goes for spicy deluxe but you can’t go wrong here. Highly recommend.

You can tell the food is homemade, the space is welcoming, and the staff are very friendly. We loved it!

I asked for rice instead of noodles due to an intolerance, and my order was canceled. A bowl of white rice is cheaper and easier than noodles, so there really wasn't any reason for this other than being an a-hole.

The ramen was great, very warm and friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere to enjoy your food in. Note that ramen is either vegetarian, vegan or chicken based, so no beef or pork. The chicken stew base however is the best you'll ever have!

Overall decent ramen, though the space is small. Their main topping is chicken instead of pork chasiu. The fried octopus was crispy and nice. The curry rice was also good. We got deluxe shoyu, shio, and miso ramen, all of which were good. The waitress was friendly and nice. Highly recommend!

We had such a great meal here the first time that we returned for a second lunch within a week. The first time, we shared the vegan ramen, with a croquette and kakiage as a side. The ramen was delicious; the broth was light and creamy and very well-seasoned. The second time, we shared the black sesame tan tan men, which was a bit disappointing as it lacked flavor. However, I'd love to go back to try the other options, as even if you don't eat meat, there's so much to choose from.

I ordered shoyu deluxe and chicken gyoza, and I have so many questions: - why is gyoza served with sweet and sour springroll sauce and not gyoza sauce - why is shoyu a thick opaque soup rather than clear thin and flavorful - why are all the toppings ice cold - why is “soft boiled egg” actually hard boiled - why are the noodles so soft and tonkotsu style Sad experience, please improve food

The ramen was so good I deliberately burned my mouth twice... Wow. What a spot and what a quality of food. I knew I was at the right place when I could only hear Japanese coming from the kitchen. I entered this gem on the Vijzelstraat out of the blue. I'm usually not this spontaneous with visiting a restaurant but I guess something called me into here. When I walked past, I gotta be honest, it didn't look like much. But then again, that goes for most places that are well worth your visit. The place was full with Asian people which is always a good sign. And trust me, it was busy through out my experience. The miso deluxe ramen is simply fantastic! It contains, bamboo shoots, red/green onion, half an egg, two chicken chashu and some cabbage. If I tell you that each and every single ingrediënt is great, it's an understatement. The broth is savory and salty, just perfect. The veggies are soft and crispy at the same time while holding flavour!! The chicken is great as well, not really special but it is freaking tender. It almost falls apart on your chopsticks and absorbs the broth. The restaurant isn't too big. As a matter of fact it doesn't hold that many people. So be aware of the consequences that come with that. My experience was great, the music is at a perfect level so you can hear it through the conversations without making you yell. The atmosphere is oke, it's straightforward. Eat your ramen and be on your way. I love it. The service is amazing. Despite being a bit overwhelmed, the dude that helped me was fairly quick, clear and very nice to me. He speaks multiple languages so that's dope too. Big props to this spot and keep it up! I'll be sure to bring my friends here. A solid 4.5 ⭐.

I enjoyed the food, but the service and ambiance could definitely use improvement. We were a group of five and ordered shared appetizers, but the waiter did not provide us with plates or napkins. As a result, one of us ended up with a stained shirt, which made the experience a bit unpleasant. Additionally, the place has an odd smell. I would recommend paying more attention to cleanliness to avoid the unpleasant odor.

The food is very very good here. Ramen with actual flavour. What's not good is the extortionate pricing of drinks. They will not serve tap water here, instead you can pay 4 euros for just 250ml of water. The exact same water, you can buy from the supermarket yourself as a consumer for 9.99 (24 bottles) - this makes the water 10x more expensive than what you can get it for yourself. Markup is obviously expected but this much is greedy. Toilets not very clean. The menu, at least for lunch, has been severely cut down recently. Some nice options are not available anymore.

It was quiet on a Tuesday around 4 p.m. We were able to sit anywhere and were helped immediately. The food was delicious: vegan spicy miso ramen.
