I am tourist to Amsterdam its was the best ramen i ever ate! I recommend it for all Plus staff was amazing with great service.

Aside from the strange design of the sink in the restroom (no matter how hard you try, your hand hits the wall and you can't wash it properly, making it unsanitary) and the fact that there are signs for Oronamin C and Fanta but they're not on the menu (they do have Kirin Beer), it's absolutely fantastic ◎ If you ask me if it's ramen, I can't deny that it feels more like an Asian-style noodle dish, but the taste was seriously delicious.

Okay, this is a great ramen experience! Te flavors of the Mala Chicken Noukou ramen are truly lively. Normally i would expect more meat in the bowl but i wasn't super hungry. Still, this was a great choice. The avocado salade is also a must try. Fresh and flavory. The service is good. Dutch or/and english speaking. Music isn't too loud and the restaurant noices are a perfect match with the interior. I will definetly will eat here again! Quantity: 9 Flavors: 9 Service: 9 Ambiance: 9

Excellent ramen. I'm a regular at the Takumi family. If you haven't tried #1 yet, go for it. Best ever. It's sad they don't have that in other takumis. One point of improvement could be to ask people not to smoke in front of the entrance because the little room before the entrance door gets full of smoke.

I was curious because they were looking for a good restaurant relatively close to the hotel located in the Museum Quarter, and it was an excellent discovery, from the service which was very good to the dishes, the service was fast and the food was excellent. A place I will definitely return to on another visit.

It was a bit crowded, but don't let that put you off; the staff will try to find you a table. We thought everything was delicious!

"What shall we eat?" was the conversation around 6:00 PM. Well, there is so much choice in town. How about ramen? Nah... no noodle soup. But wait, they have another version, and yes, without the soup. Perfect! The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and it really fills up. So apparently it is very popular. Service with a smile. It is much cozier inside than on the street side. If you prefer taking snapshots of people walking by, then the street side is for you. Good luck.

The food is really good. The portions are big. Although prices are not low it's a good place to eat. Service is also outstanding.

Probably in my top 5 ramen, the chashu broth is perfect, fatty and very tasty, though I wish it had a Little bit more meat. Get it spicy If You can handle.

I went here back in 2023 with my Dad. It was amazing. Came back in 2026 with my girlfriend. The spicy ramen with the chicken goyoza was amazing and the best I have ever had.

Outstanding Black Garlic Chashu Ramen 🖤 This satisfied every craving I had for umami and garlic, it's a deep rich broth balanced with hints of pepper and sesame oil. Finished every drop and just as good as ramen we had in Tokyo. The chicken katsu curry, miso soup, and kaarage were also satisfying. The restaurant is also cozy and service was great. Will come back!!!

Four years ago I lived in Amsterdam and went out for dinner with some friends. I ate really well, even though I’m not usually a fan of this type of cuisine. Every time I’ve come back to Amsterdam, it’s been a must-stop. Yesterday I went again, and it never disappoints. A safe bet for dinner.

It was delicious. I tried numbers R2 and R8; the Spicy one was tasty. The spicy takoyaki was a bit disappointing, though... The Bungeoppang for dessert was crispy and delicious. The Dutch waiter, who looked like Naruto, had a tsundere-like indifferent expression, but was surprisingly kind—providing bowls for serving—which touched me (he anticipated the customer's needs). I really enjoyed the meal.

There was a large group of men near our table who were being loud. It was very tiring and uncomfortable. Despite our requests for politeness, they didn't react. I'm a frequent guest at your restaurant; your food is always fresh and always tastes good. But the noise level could be compared to a club's commotion. You can't eat in peace or have a normal conversation.

The food was tasty; the ramen dish was nice and hot, whereas the curry dish was on the cold side but otherwise tasted good. Service, however, was a bit of a downside. We had to wait well over 10 minutes, after which we had to signal a staff member ourselves before we could place our order. The staff also came across as quite unfriendly in general. My girlfriend received her curry quite quickly, but I didn't get my ramen until almost 10 minutes later, by which time my girlfriend was already halfway through her dish. Communication among the staff also didn't seem to be going very well. We were told several times that the staff were serving drinks or dishes that the guests themselves had not ordered. The atmosphere also seemed quite noisy, even though there were hardly any other guests.

Getting cheaper with these 3 micro slices of meat and lack of black garlic in the broth

Good authentic ramen about €15 each bowl. The ramen portion is big with lots of meat. They also have curry rice and side dishes. Tap water on the house is available. Vegan options are available. (Prices are now about €19 for ramen in 2025)

It's really delicious~!! The miso ramen, spicy ramen, and curry are all delicious~ The spicy ramen reminds me of Shin Ramyun~ Everything is delicious except the kimchi. The kimchi was so sour that the cabbage melted. ㅠㅠ I'm satisfied with the atmosphere, the taste, and the service.

We've already eaten here twice and will probably come again before heading home. The food is delicious and hot, fast. No reservations necessary.

The restaurant was so crowded, you need a reservation... We went without one and waited for about 25 minutes... Honestly, the restaurant wasn't amazing. I tried the Japanese restaurant next door, and it was much tastier... We ordered chicken skewers, but they had a chicken smell, and we didn't like them.

We walked in and we pleased with the ambience. However, I was quite disappointed with the Ramen. I was served like warm broth with hot noodles; the broth should be hot, not luke warm... Nearly cold. Also, the Ramen was bland. This place is not worthy of 4 stars.

Commercial place, the quality of the food is okay nothing special. Good if you are in the area and don’t want to wait (is without reservation also for big group) not bad but not also the favorite place that you’ll remember.

The ramen is good and the service is very friendly. I liked that it was spicy, but not too hot to eat. The portion is generous and the Calpis is tasty too.

Top Tier Ramen Restaurant 🤤🤤 Would spend my v-bucks here all day!

I visited yesterday and tried the chicken ramen. To be fair, it wasn't bad, but I have to say it was pretty average, nothing special or memorable about the broth or toppings. Based on the hype, I found the overall experience and the restaurant itself to be overrated. It's fine if you're in the area, but don't go out of your way expecting a standout bowl of ramen.

We listened to my dear daughter, who said we shouldn't be prejudiced, and went in as a family. They have a very good and delicious ramen on this cold Amsterdam evening. If you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, you absolutely must visit Takumi Umaimon.

We had a great experience in this ramen restaurant. They gave us very good seats for lunch. We ordered ramen and gyoza. The ramen was big, so the staff offered to split it for us and brought an extra bowl — it was very nice of them. I also tried the plum wine, and it was very tasty. We liked the place so much that we came back again the next day for lunch.

i go to takumi quite often, and this time was the first in Amsterdam. The atmosphere was great, pleasant temperature and soft music. the staff could be a bit more friendlier when taking costumers, but its not much of a bother to me. the food, i got the karaage curry & added marinated eggs extra. The eggs had little piece of eggshell that i bit on, its unpleasant to have that feeling on your teeth.. and second, when the plate just arrived at my table, some parts of the rice was hard, so i only scooped from the bottom. explained to the staff after paying, and the lovely gentleman replied accordingly and respectfully. i really like takumi. so i'll still come back at other locations.

I ordered spicy kara-ebi kushi miso ramen - which combine crispy chicken bites and shrimp skewer with vegetables and flavorful mild spicy soup. It was really tasty - perfect for cold weather. I also had homemade ice tea with lemon and mint, was good as well, but i cannot really feel hint of lemon or mint there. Service was really nice and friendly, venue is spacious, plenty of sits. Prices are also average, they have loyalty system as well, which is very nice

Good vegan options available. The vegan abura soba was absolutely delicious! Staff were friendly and helpful. The vibe in the restaurant is bright. It seems popular so try to avoid peak dinner time, or try to be early so you don't have to wait in line.

We're already familiar with this chain; we've been there several times in Milan. Very nice place, with a wide selection of dishes. The ramen and gyoza are very good. Service is always friendly and fast. Prices are average.

Ramen was good, but they could not guarantee the food would be 100% safe due to my dietary restrictions to shelfish. it was super busy - we got our food super fast (i was impressed and scared at the same time) This was quite pricy, but then again we are in Leidseplain Staff was friendly

The perfect ramen for a cold rainy night, got the spicy ramen extra spicy with karage & tempora shrimp. The broth was so rich. The karage & shrimp were the best I’ve ever had - perfectly crispy, delicate, the meat so tender. I was so hungry and the food was so good - I forgot to take a picture. HUGE portion sizes. Come hungry. The line moves quickly. The atmosphere is really cute.

The ramen was good, but the rest left us somewhat indifferent. We'd heard so much about this place that we probably had high expectations. Still, everything was good.

Rich in flavour, full of ingredients, nothing more is needed, or maybe a bigger stomach. Full recomendation!

On a Saturday evening, we got a table for 8 people. We had to wait next door for about a beer until we were called and given a table. The food was delicious, even for the vegetarians in our group.

Went with my daughter, & infant son in stroller on a Friday afternoon. Really nice, professional waitress helped seat us despite the embarrassment of my largish stroller. Food was true Japanese comfort food. All the staff who brought food to table were pleasant, quick & unobtrusive. Waitress somehow always showed up or noticed us at right intervals when we wanted her. I was able to tend to my children’s needs comfortably. I even noticed there’s an infant changing pad next to the toilet! My daughter loved the octopus balls & salad.

This was the best and most delicious ramen we’ve ever had – far beyond what we could have expected. We also tried the veggie gyozas, which were absolutely fantastic. Kudos to the waiters for their kindness, friendliness, and the incredibly fast service. The atmosphere was fantastic, full of energy and vibe, yet with great acoustics so we could easily talk without shouting. If I could give 6 stars for food, service, and atmosphere, you would have them all. Definitely coming back on my next visit to Amsterdam!

To be honest; if you've ever been to Japan DON'T GO HERE. Actually a disgrace to Japan, the taste was really weak and bad. Also the service really not good. Inside looks fun though

And off course we ended the dinner with the Taiyaki icecream! 20250319 That taiyaki dessert is too DIE for, Its jus soo good! But the batter from the pumpkin croquettes is not that good still. 20230212 There has been a change in quality, the person frying the foods is not doing a good job. Its more soggy than crunchy and thats not a good thing. UPDATE: 20200714 Even though I wrote this review 2 years ago,, this place is still one of my favorites of Amsterdam! Located at the Leidseplein inside an alley with terraces. The menu has quite a lot of items including wide variaties of ramens and side dishes (dont forget to order the pumpkin croquettes!) The curry is also something that should be ordered and if you can not make a choice they also have SET menus. And surely dont skip the desserts! Its great to eat here if you got plans/events near this place. The special miso ramen is really delicious!

They don't take reservations, so it's best to arrive early. Very welcoming, and the ramen is fabulous.

I've had better versions of this before. But I can't compare them to the restaurants in Amsterdam. The restaurant was very hot, and the tables smelled like fish.

I visited this ramen place and, while the ramen itself was delicious, the service left much to be desired. The restaurant wasn’t busy, yet the servers seemed more focused on talking to each other than on attending customers. I had to wait quite a while just to get their attention and ask for a spoon. The food was great, but the service really needs improvement.
