This is a place where you can eat Japanese food.

Mediocre quality food. Large plate of 50/50 rice and non-spicy satay sauce. Meat was cheap quality. Real Japanese will not be proud of this food. Canteen fast food. Staff is friendly. This is not recommended for Amsterdam residents.

I went specifically for the Katsu Curry and my +1 ended up ordering the Ramen (which some friends have said is the best in AMS). Both were very good, also a lot of food for the price. Overall great food, nice ambience and the service was good (always nice and friendly).

24. 11. 22 It was very delicious near Rembrandt Square 😆 The two of us ordered Sapporo Ebi miso ramen. I really enjoyed both of them! However, the ramen broth itself was not very hot 😢 It's good to eat, but it would have been nice if it was a little hotter! There weren't many types of beer. The price including drinks is a little over 20 euros. It's not cheap, but considering the area 😊 There were so many customers that I had to wait a while to enter. We ate quickly It took a while to call the employees. I saw a lot of Japanese employees! The turnover rate is fast 😉

Gyōza chicken and chicken ramen soup, normal and creamy options are really tasty. The staff is very nice and the restaurant very clean. Location, in the Leidsplein is nice, too.

Whichever ramen you choose, it will be delicious. Better than many other ramen restaurants in Amsterdam. The tonkotsu is creamier than any other restaurant. And there are also ramen with black garlic oil, which makes the whole thing a special experience.

Umaimon is a great place for delicious ramen! The flavors are rich and perfectly balanced, highly recommended for ramen lovers. In addition, the atmosphere is very cozy, which makes it a nice place to enjoy a good meal. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Amsterdam! 🍜

Excellent ramen. I'm a regular at the Takumi family. If you haven't tried #1 yet, go for it. Best ever. It's sad they don't have that in other takumis. One point of improvement could be to ask people not to smoke in front of the entrance because the little room before the entrance door gets full of smoke.

Unbelievably good ramen. People call this a tourist trap but while it I quite busy, the ramen is top quality and there are lots of sides and accompaniments to choose from. Vegan ramen options are delicious! Best kimchi I’ve ever had, and the spicy veggie gyoza were phenomenal. Will absolutely be coming back here and highly recommend it.

The meals were nice, the place was clean and the service was quick. The servers are nice but not very cheerful.

The portion is very generous. The combination of the chicken with the rice and delectable sauces was very tasty. Also, the order arrived very quickly and it was easy to find a table since the restaurant is huge.

Good place, big portions, different varieties (healthy versus non-healthy; veg versus non-veg), overall can be recommended!

The ramen, gyoza and kimuchi were delicious. The Spicy Kimuchi and the Spicy Ramen were a bit too light for me, but still very tasty. The service was also very attentive. What was extremely disturbing, however, was the smell coming out of the “Magazijn” room, which was really musty. So sit pretty far away.

The low quality chicken that comes with the ‘spicy katsu curry ramen’ is breaded and fried with the skin still on, doesn’t seem like chicken breast, and whatever part of the bird it came from it was never marinated before I soaked it the thin broth that had a sprinkle of paprika for taste, in false hope I can change what was a failed meal. I walked into what I should have known for a tourist trap with a grumbling stomach and open eyes, based on unverified reviews, and got what I deserved: Couldn’t eat half way through the bowl.

I am surprised…we were so hungry and the rest was just 20m away from the apartment we rented. Beyond my expectations… thats why I rated high. Gyoza was ok, spicy chicken ramen was very good. My wife had chicken teriyaki. She also enjoyed.

Come at night around 19:00, there are so many people But there are so many seats in the store! Went in without much waiting. Ordered dumplings, miso chicken ramen, and sugar-free oolong tea The dumplings are very well seasoned, the spicy sauce is paired with mayonnaise Fried and crispy, delicious and appetizing For ramen, the soup is rich and the chicken is very tender and delicious! The food is served very quickly and the service efficiency is very high It’s worth having a bowl of ramen when the weather is cold!

The gyoza was amazing. Everything else was pretty bland and below the level of a place with 4 and 5 stars. We had black garlic ramen, the fried chicken many mention in reviews, a schnitzel and some other stuff. None of it was anything other than 3/5. The service was good and polite and the place is nicely decorated. Perhaps the hype is because it’s a relatively great option at midnight when options are much more limited, but would not recommend for lunch or 8pm meal.

This place is a total must! Super friendly and professional staff, nice and casual environment, the food is delicious and at a very reasonable price.

A bit pricey, food is okay. The worst is the service. We got seated in the corner and then nobody came to take our order. We waited for almost 15 minutes just to order! So we had to get up and then ask the staff to come. Later, they also never came to check a single time. And it was NOT busy. The audacity to then ask for tip when paying for the lacking service is disgraceful.

I was here for dinner as part of a business trip and really enjoyed the stay. The food is really tasty & authentic, the portions are a really good size, the prices are fair and the service is quick & attentive. I always like the atmosphere in this great area of ​​Amsterdam - if I had to choose between the many restaurants in the area I would happily come here again!

Really nice place, you do not need to wait for seat or service. The portions are fine, but the ramen itself is very basic, not to say boring. The flavour of miso and spicy miso broths lacked depth, did not resemble anything like umami. It is just ok, but if it is mean to be the best in Amsterdam, then your ramen oppurtunities are bad.

Last time I went to the same restaurant in Rotterdam. She was very satisfied, so she decided to visit the institution again. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere were very attractive. First they brought peat and takoyaki, which I was delighted with! But I was expecting the main course, my ramen, to take a little longer, but that wasn't a problem. He turned out to be nothing! The broth seemed to be homemade, for an ordinary soup, the noodles looked like cheap mivina, and the filling of the ramen itself was very poor. After that, I lost my appetite and I just sat, contemplating other people

Stumbled upon this hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam and couldn’t be happier! Perfect spot to warm up during the chilly fall and winter months. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the dumplings were perfectly cooked—just the comfort food we needed. If you’re near Leinsplein, make sure to stop in for a meal!

Went with my daughter, & infant son in stroller on a Friday afternoon. Really nice, professional waitress helped seat us despite the embarrassment of my largish stroller. Food was true Japanese comfort food. All the staff who brought food to table etc made were nice, quick & unobtrusive. I was able to tend to my children’s needs comfortably (noticed there’s even an infant changing pad next to the toilet! though I did not need to use it). My daughter loved the octopus balls & salad. Waitress somehow always showed up or noticed us at right intervals when we wanted her. Clientele seemed mixed - seemed some would take business lunch here as well as people on a meal out with friends.

My favorite to go for noukou ramen (paitan version). It’s sooooo jummy! I am a regular here and service is good! They have many other locations, but this one location in the city centre is my favorite to go. Also, because not all locations sell this version soup or it is “sold out”. I actually only come for this one. By far my favorite ramen soup in Ams!

Le restaurant affiche quasi complet, le service est hyper sympa et les jeunes serveurs souriants et à l’écoute. Déco gaie et colorée. Les plats sont très bons et bien assaisonnés. J’avais demandé à ce que mon plat ne soit pas trop épicé et c’était parfait ! Allez-y !

The ramen noodles are very delicious, the fatty water is not too salty or too sour, the meat is soft and retains its flavor. Worth a try if you're bored of other Amsterdam cuisine.

My go-to for a bite to eat in Amsterdam. Walk-ins only, but worth the wait! Especially the okonomi gyoza's are amazing. They switch up the types of ramen regularly, so there's always something new to try.

If you think it's a local Japanese ramen restaurant with a high rating, No. Just think of it as Japanese ramen. It's okay to eat. The staff are also friendly But I don't seem to see any Japanese people.

Great ramen! We waited outside for half an hour but it was a busy time. And it was worth it ;) Ramen is around €20.

Not that they still need another 5 star review, but still I want to put my recommendation out there 😁. Love their ramen, very tasty and portion is just right. Been visiting this place for years now and always satisfied with their food and service. Fast and friendly. First time to try their okunami gyoza and loved it. It’s a mix of tonkatsu and gyoza. My little boy love their red bean fish cake for dessert. Next time I will try their ube cheesecake!

I visited for lunch on a Saturday in mid-October 2024. I was guided to my table right away without waiting. Since it was lunch time, the tables soon started to fill up with people. I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen, Mara Miso Ramen, and side dishes. The fried dumplings and chicken karaoke were decent. The Mala Ramen had a slight flavor of Mara, which was attractive. The other ramen was overall delicious, with good seasoning and well-cooked noodles.

Food is fine, place is nice but there was one waitress, I don't know if she had a terrible day but she was extremely rude for no reason, basically scolding us for every word we used. I hope she would find peace.

The ramen is incredible. The noodles are excellent. The team is top notch with fast service. No reservations possible and therefore a bit of a wait during peak hours.

Ik eet zelden Ramen. Ben hier terecht gekomen op aanraden van een vriend , tevens mijn eet gezelschap. We krijgen heerlijke gyoza’s en een goed gevulde soep met verse ingrediënten. Als er een rij staat waar mensen zelfs 40 min wachten om hier te eten kun je er vanuit gaan dat het eten uitstekend is. En dat is het ook.

I love this ramen place! I always come here and this place never disappointed with its consistency. You can literally never go wrong with this place. The variety of vegan ramen is also great. Staff is friendly, service super quick. Prices really reasonable and portions will satisfy you!!

Food was ok, but it isn’t best ramen I ever ate 😏 give that salty feeling taste on the tongue I had some not good parts in chicken … Plum wine delicious and edamame also as always 🥰 Service was fast, waiter was nice.

Amazing ramen on a cold night! The spicy miso with shrimp and fried chicken. Chicken was so tender and the broth heavenly! Didn't have to supplement the spice level at all - precisely balanced ramen, left nothing standing in the bowl 😄

We ordered spicy torikatsu and spicy teriyaki miso ramens. Both were great but a bit overpriced to my mind. Other side dishes like edamame and kimchi also seemed pricier than usual. The atmosphere inside is lovely and stuff is friendly. We waited around 30 minutes to be seated.

A nice ramen which does the trick. In my experience I have had better ones. I took the spicy miso teriyaki - the broth was tasty although if you are looking for something with a kick I would recommend adding some more hot sauce yourself. My partner had the non-spicy version of the same ramen which she found good but a bit bland.

You’d think this would be a tourist trap, but you will be severely mistaking. This is such a good place with friendly staff and really good food. They are very quick to serve and that makes this a good place to get a quick bite before going to a concert or movie nearby. The food tastes absolutely amazing and they are underpriced when it comes to quantity and quality. Such a great place.

Leckere Ramen Wir hatten 2 Mio-Suppen (normal und spicy), die beide sehr authentisch und lecker waren. Gyoza als Vorspeise ist ebenfalls zu empfehlen.

From 5 to 4 to 1 star. The food and service is getting worse and worse to the point that it is simply not tasty anymore, but it is more expensive. Double pepper "spicy" has no sharpness whatsoever Raw egg (haha) You really have to look for 1.5 pieces of meat Those were the low points. Scanty. Tasteless. Duration. Of course, kindly indicated, of course poor answers and service. Shame!
