The prices charged are too high compared to the quality of the dishes served. You weren't warned that limoncello isn't free. Shame.

Had an evening meal here and it was very nice. Not a cheap place to dine but food was reasonable except for the ravioli which was a meagre portion. Be aware water on the table is €6 a bottle.

I've eaten here a few times now and every time I imagine myself in Italy. Delicious food, friendly service and good atmosphere. In my opinion, highly recommended.

Look, this is a huge asset for Wassenaar. For me, authentic Italian cuisine and linen (where do you still see that?) linen on the table is always a sign that this restaurant has understood it. Attention for the guest and for the food. We have had a very good meal there a number of times now. Unexpected honest dishes and daily specials, special Italian wines and hospitality are something they have mastered here. They really want to make you happy in every way.

A really good Italian restaurant with very friendly service.

Heerlijk Paas diner bij Brunello! Wij startten met prosecco, daarna carpaccio van eend, salade met tonijn, ossenhaas met div. Groenten, dessert. Wij hebben van alle gerechten genoten en de bediening /service was perfect

Gisteravond aten wij met broers en zusters bij restaurant Brunello in Wassenaar. Het zou de 99e verjaardag van “oma Gonnie” geweest zijn maar helaas is Gonnie drie weken geleden overleden. Na thuis bijeengekomen te zijn en verhalen over “vroeger” gedeeld te hebben liepen we naar restaurant Brunello. Er stond een grote tafel voor ons klaar en de ontvangst was hartelijk! Wij kozen voor een “vier gangen keuze menu” . Ondanks dat wij met 10 personen waren verliep het uitserveren van de gerechten erg goed. Alle gerechten werden warm en op mooi opgemaakte borden geserveerd en het eten smaakte heerlijk. Chapeau voor de keuken! De wijnen “Primitivo“ en “Valpinochillo” pasten goed bij de gekozen gerechten. Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijk diner met plezierige bediening en prettige service en komen zeker terug!

We had pizza delivered by Brunello for the first time. Maybe the other food is very good but the pizza disappointed us. The taste is good, but my Capricciosa pizza really didn't smell good and we found the base a bit tough and too thick. I had also asked in the 'notices' field to replace the ham with peppers because I wanted a vegetarian one. Then it just had ham on it. Delivery was fine and the pizza was hot.

Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Wassenaar, with a delicious truffle pasta. Service has always been exemplary, as has the atmosphere

First time at Brunello restaurant in Wassenaar: 1) waited 2 hours for 2 dishes 2) insufficient staff and slow 3) no original Italo dishes, small portions. 4) price/quality poor. Conclusion: once but never again…

I had such a delicious meal here (3x). I can call myself quite critical when it comes to taste and preparation. It's a different place, so the question every time is whether it will be good. Picked up pizzas for the first time and we devoured them! Then we had dinner there, super tasty carpaccio and fish fell apart and had a great taste. The gentlemen are pleasant, neat and really nice to have a real Italian conversation with, since that's where they come from. We will definitely make a detour to eat there again. PS: In the photos we have already started eating. We couldn't wait, haha

Cozy and informal restaurant. Definitely recommended to order a pizza. Lots of variety in the menu and top dishes on the table. A good glass of wine is also available here.

Staff was very arrogant, especially the girl with dark hair who did not speak Dutch. In addition, my stomach really hurt after a visit to Brunello. Once but never again. I also left a Brunello in the toilet.

Overpriced for what it is, small portions and the female waitress is rude.

This is probably the only place in wassenaar that combines quality of food with service.. we stayed until 1.30am and they didn’t blink an eyelid, instead offered us free limoncello and desserts! A true gem in wassenaar.. the pasta is truly al dente, the simple dishes, truffle and sage pasta, are divine, and the pizzas are as you would find them in Italy.. a wonderful addition to Wassenaar’s restaurant scene

When Italy comes to the Netherlands! The Brunello restaurant is the best Italian restaurant in the region. Real Italian cuisine of very high quality with fresh products. A real treat for lovers of Italy. The chef will always amaze you with his recipes and his talent. The service is excellent and the atmosphere cozy. I highly recommend 🥂

I had the pleasure of visiting the Italian restaurant Brunello in Wassenaar during my stay in Duinrell and I absolutely loved it. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a welcoming ambience and an extremely friendly owner, which left a lasting impression. The menus at Brunello were written in German, Dutch and English, which suited us very well. It was helpful to be able to read the dishes in our native language. One small criticism I would like to mention is that there were no pizzas listed on the main menu, even though pizzas were advertised on the menu outside. The dining experience began with an appetizer that included a charcuterie and cheese platter. The presentation was attractive and the selection of delicate sausages and cheeses was delicious. Additionally, we received complimentary bread which was fresh and crunchy and the perfect accompaniment to the aromatic flavors of the starter. The main course was a delight for the senses. The fillet and veal schnitzel were perfectly seasoned and prepared. Every bite was a feast for the taste buds as the flavors blended harmoniously with each other. The quality of the ingredients was evident and contributed to a truly premium taste experience. The staff at Brunello also deserve the highest praise. The owner was extremely attentive and accommodating. His passion for Italian cuisine was palpable and he made us feel welcome from start to finish. The restaurant itself had a pleasant atmosphere. The colors and stylish furnishings created a welcoming environment in which you immediately felt at home. Brunello is the ideal place for a romantic dinner for two or to enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family. Finally, I can only warmly recommend the Brunello Restaurant in Wassenaar. The combination of the inviting ambience, the extremely friendly owner and the exquisite food makes this restaurant a true gem. If you are looking for an unforgettable dining experience, then Brunello is definitely the right choice.

What a fantastic evening we had! The anti pasti was fantastic, the main course sublime and the desserts heavenly. The cooking here is so good and the service is sweet and attentive. The wine, especially the Ripasso, was very well chosen to accompany the main course. A hidden gem in Wassenaar. We will be back!

Food fine. Good price/quality ratio. Service, had to wait a long time for the menu. Owner nice and nice gesture to end with a glass of limoncello. Atmosphere, canteen-like and bare. Poor acoustics which made it difficult to hear your table companions. All in all, we will come back again, but hope there is more atmosphere and much less noise.

A real Italian! Far exceeds the many glorified pizzerias in Wassenaar.

We went for Christmas and had the chef's 4 course meal. Absolutely delicious! What a treat! Looking forward to returning in the near future.

Beautiful, cozy place with nice owner and employees. Pretty tasty food and excellent, reasonably priced wines. A few points of interest. Immediately provide the pizza menu, not just the fancy menu. Don't immediately try to sell prosecco when you ask for the wine list. Visiting the toilet by walking behind the bar is a bit awkward. The acoustics are deafening.

We are a family of five (two adults and three children). We did not receive a warm welcome. The person who greeted us was reluctant to provide us with a table even though the restaurant was almost empty and there were no reserved markers on any of the tables. We can only assume that the staff are reluctant to welcome families with children. I ordered the lasagne that had not been heated properly and had to be returned. The kids had pizza which they didn't enjoy and didn't finish as toppings were sparce and base doughy. The bill was €100 for a below average meal with poor service. Don't eat here.

Excellent food. Great service. Had the vitello tonato, pizza brunello and it was excellent. Servers were very nice, and recommended my mom a nice wine which she liked. I myself had a birra Moretti from the tap, which was also delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Toilet for dwarves a 1.89 man can only do his business there if the door remains open.

We ate there last week. We found the prices to be way too high, reorders were not accepted (very inflexible). We didn't get a cappuccino as it wasn't an Italian drink. We were also repeatedly given more water and charged for it even though we didn't want it. For us it's a "would like to send a chic micki shop". We felt very uncomfortable. However, the food was quite good, the pasta dishes were a bit too small.

Pizza was tasty! Too bad about the side dish that was not delivered. Even after calling for the side dish and promising to deliver, this was not done. Shame

These people had the courage to open their business during lockdown time. Give them optimal earnings. And yes, Italians are a bit more emotional, so what, that also has its charms!

First time and sure last. Probably 5 min and we left. As we sat down we asked if we can pay corkage for our special wine bottle; waitress didn’t know so went to bring the manager. A pretty upset manager showed up; saying this is not allowed in any restaurant; I explained he means this restaurant? He said ‘not in my restaurant, not at all, we do not allow ANY one to bring drinks from outside.’ I said ‘ok no need to get too excited … you are probably new to the business but that’s ok’. He got more agitated unnecessarily really. Probably thought we are trying to save few euros or something. He said ‘so you want the wine menu or not?’ I said I actually want to leave if this is the start. Pretty long way for them to get to learn how to deal with clients in wassenaar !

We had it delivered and the Calzone pizza was unfortunately the worst we have ever had. Never again

Ate here for the first time tonight. The food was really delicious. Friendly service and very friendly owner. After I showed my curiosity what exactly he was going to flambé in a large parmesan cheese, we suddenly received a plate of pasta to taste. How thoughtful and how incredibly simple that was, but so delicious. Definitely back again. Small menu, and they make delicious dishes from simple ingredients.

2 days ago we passed by by chance. Welcoming reception and the food surprised us, so tasty. My wife ordered a sea bream that is fried under a thick layer of salt and then stripped and filleted at the table. And my steak was also great! We would love to come back when we are on holiday here again.

Once again a perfect meal. Delicious meals and perfectly flavoured, top location.

The best restaurant (Italian or otherwise) in Wassenaar and surrounding areas. The environment is warm and welcoming, for the entire duration of the lunch I felt at home. The food deserves much more than 5 stars, the combination of flavors, smells and textures is truly crazy, all typical dishes of Italian cuisine combined with contemporary and innovative cooking techniques. Compliments to the chef. The pizza is also excellent, trust me, I'm a hypercritical Neapolitan. The maitre d' is truly a person of manner and with great experience, he manages to perfectly match a wine to every dish (we had a tasting menu). Overall the whole restaurant and service really deserves 10 stars. For what we ate and drank we really spent the right amount (given the particularity of the dishes and wines I thought I would have to pay a lot more). Excellent!

We walked by today and thought 'it looks so attractive.' So we went in for a (very) early dinner. We don't regret that at all! Fresh ingredients, great taste, very friendly service and good wine. Definitely worth repeating - an asset to Wassenaar!
