Restaurant De Baron in Wijk 01 Noordoostelijk deel der gemeente

Fantastic! Everything was delicious!

Looking for a nice spot for a delicious dinner or lunch? De Baron has an atmospheric interior and a lovely terrace. The staff is very helpful and the food is top-notch.

We had a delicious and tastefully presented senior menu. The service is very friendly and personal. You really feel welcome there.

A nice location in a green setting in Wassenaar Simply good food in a nice environment You can also come here to celebrate parties

The food was fine, but there were some points that could be given a bit more attention. We were a group of 8. The adult chateaubriand from one of us was excellent, while the one from the other was a bit overcooked. But I am not complaining about that, because I would have had to say so right away. Very attentive service. Atmospheric restaurant.

Excellent and beautiful interior

Very nice service, very tasty food, nice romantic atmosphere, pleasant music, nice restaurant design. I have nothing to complain about👏👍

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful experience at Restaurant De Baron! The food was absolutely delicious, and the Avocado Festival Salad was especially amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a nice meal. What really made our visit stand out was the outstanding service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Delicious food, amazing atmosphere, and excellent service. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food and generous portions! I had a wonderful experience at De Baron in Wassenaar. The food was fantastic, and the portions were generous and very satisfying. The highlight for me was the Avocado Festival salad absolutely delicious and full of fresh flavors. The croquettes were also amazing and definitely worth trying. Kip-sate was amazing. i would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I order a salmon, which arrived almost raw and even if the waiters asked what was the issue, it was put in the bill.

The food was certainly tasty. The location is very peaceful and beautiful; people who wanted to smoke were also seated a bit more separately, which I really appreciated. But the absolute highlight was the service and the hospitality of the staff—top notch!

Outstanding service, food cooked with care and lovely vibes. 🥹💗

Had a delicious meal and enjoyed some drinks later in the evening.

Great staff and service! Just had lunch and the Benedict is highly recommended! AMAZING❤️❤️❤️❤️

Excellent cocktails. Good and friendly service. Food generally very good but the Tuna Tataki was not as expected. It was not authentic Japanese style.

It wasn't tasty. The restaurant only wins with the amount of food. Maybe a free parking space for the car.

Had a nice lunch with my mother, hadn't been in a while, highly recommended.

So good, so delicious, we come back every time.

I felt very welcome and of course the food was delicious.

We received a very warm welcome from the staff. All the servers were extremely attentive and polite. Drinks arrived at our table very quickly. The Baron Burger was absolutely delicious; the side dishes were fantastic, and we enjoyed it with a glass of homemade apple compote. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the tables were beautifully set. All in all, a perfect evening at the restaurant.

We ate a delicious ice cream, but I also saw some tasty fries pass by!

Had a delicious lunch with lovely friends. Good service. We sat on the terrace.

We got married in the conservatory of De Baron, and afterwards, we had a High Lunch on the terrace with our witnesses and guests. It was a fantastic day! We were received very hospitably in the morning. There was even a beautifully set and flower-decorated table waiting for us. It already looked so festive upon arrival, and the day hadn't even started yet! Before the wedding ceremony, we had coffee, tea, and chilled drinks on the terrace. That immediately takes away some of the tension for everyone. So, definitely recommended. We were completely taken care of from the very first moment. And that is exactly what you want on a day like that! The staff at De Baron have an eye for detail, are attentive, and ensure everything runs smoothly and quickly. That is why we enjoyed every minute immensely. The wedding ceremony takes place in the conservatory. The conservatory is separated from the restaurant area. The conservatory is a bright, clean, and pleasant place to be. There are comfortable chairs, and the conservatory is very spacious and well-maintained. In warm weather, the sliding doors can be opened, so it wasn't too hot during our ceremony (July). After the wedding ceremony, the bubbly was already ready, and we raised a toast on the terrace. Afterward, it was time for the High Lunch; tiered stands with a wide assortment of delicious snacks and luxury sandwiches. Something for everyone and plenty for everyone. Because there is so much choice, there is always something for everyone. And there really was enough for every guest. A soup, sandwiches, quiches, satay, etc. The quality of the drinks and High Lunch was excellent, and the whole event was festively presented. Everything was simply well taken care of! We were given plenty of time and space to celebrate this day together, all very relaxed. The staff at De Baron genuinely enjoy their work and do everything they can to make the guests feel comfortable. They are hospitable, friendly, and very attentive. As a result, both our young guests and the older guests thoroughly enjoyed this day. We primarily wanted a relaxed yet well-organized day, and that was completely achieved! It was a fantastic day for us. One we will never forget. We definitely recommend De Baron for parties, celebrations, or just for fun! We will certainly be back to relive the memories of this beautiful day. Thank you to everyone at De Baron!

Exactly what you can expect for this price. A restaurant with a large car park. Ideal for taking a walk. It is still a bit of a way to the beach if you go on foot, though. By bike, it is perfectly doable. Friendly service. Only my beer (I ordered a Radler) wasn't really cold. That was a shame. The other drinks were cold, though. The food was tasty. I would definitely come back here.

Delicious food. Excellent service.

Delicious food (lunch), nice terrace on a somewhat busy road, partly covered with shade and sun, very friendly service from the entire staff, especially the Czech employee. (Dêkuji!j

De Baron has been a regular spot for us for several years now. Always cozy and delicious food, just like today. Very friendly staff and it feels like coming home. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥♥️🙏🏾

Great place to stop for lunch during a bike ride across the dunes between Wassenaar and Katwijk. I had the gambas and the short-rib. They were both very tasty. Nice beer to go soon. I enjoyed it.

Had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Prawns were delicious too. Great service. Highly recommend.

Delicious food, very friendly 👍👍👍👍👍

A beautiful summer evening in a lovely location with friendly staff and absolutely delicious food – what more could you want? Highly recommended.

High quality food, not cheap but worth the money. Very friendly staff.

Had a lovely afternoon with Hythee, delicious different dishes.

Well-prepared high lunch, highly recommended!

Had a delicious High lunch, good quality and taste. Enjoyed a long meal.

Very cozy; even on a hot day, it is lovely to sit on the terrace. There were 10 of us who enjoyed all the delicious food. We all had different dishes, but they were all equally tasty.

I performed there. Very enjoyable private party/evening with many people. Good atmosphere! Didn't eat, so not familiar with it. Impressive, certainly good!

Beautiful location. Staff friendly and attentive. Extensive menu to choose from. Food was really excellent.

Last night, after The Soldier of Orange, we had dinner here with our family. The food was delicious and the service was superb. Everyone was enthusiastic. We would love to come back sometime.

The food was delicious (bao rendang🤗) and the staff was very friendly and polite. We were really well taken care of!

Beautiful location. Pleasant atmosphere, warm decor. Tables not placed too close together and comfortable chairs. Great food, beautifully presented. Prices are average. Friendly staff, not pushy. Definitely recommended!

Nice place to eat. Indoor and outdoor options.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch. Cozy terrace, good and friendly service. I will definitely come back here.

We ate here for the first time, only starters and dessert because we were short on time. Everything was refined and delicious, the staff friendly, the atmosphere good, and the menu very varied. This restaurant is highly recommended; we will be back!

We had a delicious lunch here in an atmospheric setting. Very friendly staff.

Beautiful terrace, cozy atmosphere. Service was top-notch! The short rib was fantastic! We will definitely be back.

Great restaurant with tasty food and reasonable prices. The fries were really well seasoned. The satay is also highly recommended. My girlfriend found the tenderloin steak delicious.

During the Corona pandemic, I occasionally ordered food from you, and it was always top quality. Afterwards, I never got around to dining at your restaurant, but last night I celebrated my birthday here with both my sons. Thank you for the delicious food; everything tasted exquisite. The homemade applesauce was really tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sole fillets! What lovely staff; that truly reflects the service of this excellent restaurant. We will definitely be back! ♥️

Celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary. Had a delicious meal! They decorated everything themselves, what a surprise! In short, we enjoyed it!

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Great value for money too.

Super friendly and enthusiastic service from everyone. Delicious food and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Very nice person and very good food 😁😋

Very friendly staff/owner and a very beautiful interior. The shared dish for 2 people (Chateaubriand) was delicious and perfectly prepared by the chef(s). Homemade side dishes were delicious and the applesauce is highly recommended. Unfortunately too far away for us, but definitely recommended if you are in the area. Compliments!!

Had a delicious meal with the girls, lovely weather, so it was cozy on the terrace. As always, great food, friendly service, in short, we enjoyed it!

We had a delicious meal in this atmospheric restaurant where the music is truly background music, and that is very nice!

very nice calm place, great service, good food, nice d'Estoublon wine

Had a delicious Easter brunch. Top-notch service: Attentive, helpful, knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

Exceptionally warm welcome, prompt service, and tasty dishes at the Easter brunch

Had a delicious meal yesterday with a large group of people. Very nicely decorated for Easter. The staff is very hospitable and friendly. Definitely a place to come back to more often.

Very friendly service combined with excellent quality food. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either !

Cozy place. Lots of different snacks, hot and cold, sweet and savory on tiered stands.

A wonderful restaurant for a tasty bite to eat; whether you are having a (high) lunch, small bites, or something more substantial, everything is prepared with love. The staff—most famous to us, Esmeralda and Ginger—are super hostesses, always a wonderful welcome and farewell; the other staff are certainly top-notch too. You really feel welcome there; the staff takes their time with the guests. Highly recommended for me and my wife.

We ate here before going to see Soldier of Orange. It was delicious and the personal service was wonderful. Keep up the good work.

We celebrated my mother's 91st birthday at De Baron on March 25th, and it was, in one word, amazing! They sang for her and prepared a surprise dessert. My mother felt incredibly special on her birthday! The food was delicious, the atmosphere very cozy, and the service very sweet and friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend De Baron!

Had a delicious meal, A few times via Social Deal, which was also great! And now for dinner, What stands out is the very friendly service! Nice and relaxed yet professional I would definitely recommend it

We enjoyed ourselves! They really make it a night out.

Fantastic Hi Lunch ❤️ highly recommended. 3 floors full of incredibly good dishes. Drove all the way from Groningen again just to get there. Because the kids absolutely love the homemade applesauce 💪🏼 took another jar home.

Cozy location, very friendly staff, delicious food, sweet to my little dog, what more could you ask for? Simply top-notch!

Good food😀, I recommend it. The venison was a hit.

Great restaurant with tasty food. It is a bit on the more expensive side than "normal", but the many fresh products really justify the price.

Had another delicious lunch; the four of us ordered a high lunch. Three delicious tiers of small bites. And the service was very friendly again. Highly recommended!!

We went to see Soldier of Orange with a party of 11 people, and we also dined at De Baron last time to our full satisfaction. We arrived quite early but were immediately made to feel welcome; I hadn't been entirely clear about the number of people, but an extra table was added right away, and those who joined later were also immediately noticed and taken care of. We ordered the main course and ended up eating all at the same time—super service. Add to that the fact that the staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and flexible, so I recommend it to everyone :-)

We finally went for lunch here and we will definitely be back! Tasty, cozy, great value for money!

Great Good food, neatly presented Attentive and friendly staff

Very friendly service, with a genuine focus on each guest. The food was excellent, with special touches like homemade applesauce! The venue is also atmospheric and spacious, and the chairs are very comfortable. A great start to a fun night out, such as the musical "Soldaat van Oranje" (Soldier of Orange).

Highly recommended. Excellent quality, reasonable prices, and great service.

Delicious food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. You can really tell you're in Wassenaar.

Response to your comment: Thank you for your insulting, aggressive, and incorrect response. I have no problem with your serving staff, but with your management's interpretation of the concept of hospitality. We were only communicated with after we inquired where our lunch was after waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes. We were not offered any drinks. No snack was offered. You are probably confusing us with another group that was also waiting for their lunch. Perhaps it would be a good idea to close the restaurant or hire extra staff if you are expecting a large group. original review: left the restaurant after waiting in vain for our lunch for well over an hour and a half. no idea what the food is like. we didn't see it.

Friendly staff, good service, delicious food, nice location.

Celebrated my daughter's baby shower yesterday, and it was so perfectly organized! The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly and helpful... I can't describe how everything went without pressure or rushing. Nothing was too much trouble for them! Highly recommended for celebrating special occasions or just having a bite to eat. I'll definitely be back.

Super nice place with delicious food and very friendly staff

Simply delicious food and lovely, friendly staff! Great value.

What a super beautiful and chic restaurant, very hospitable with the aim of giving you as a guest a fantastic experience

Visited several times and always with a pleasant feeling... excellent food... beautiful environment... very good wine selection... I recommend the High - lunch.... The best we've ever eaten... playful, imaginative and original....

We had a pleasant evening and a delicious meal.

Extremely friendly staff. The food was excellent, especially considering the price. Pleasant atmosphere. I'll definitely be back.

We had a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. It was quite busy when we were there, always a good sign.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

What a lovely restaurant! We walked in without a reservation and were allowed to choose a table. They were short-staffed due to illness, but it didn't show. The food arrived on time, with homemade applesauce (delicious), and a very friendly hostess! We will definitely be back, and if you're in the area, pop into De Baron and enjoy the delicious food! Greetings from Purmerend 😊

Fantastically delicious food. Beautiful location. And very good...nice...nice...friendly staff.

A beautifully decorated restaurant and terrace, where the service and food perfectly matched... We had a very good experience, and we will definitely be back...

The manager (Esmiralda), to start with, is truly the sweetest person in the world. She loves her job, and it shows; she's a true hospitality expert. The food is also delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The quality is excellent, and you get plenty of it. The homemade applesauce is also incredibly tasty. It was my husband's birthday, and they made it a fantastic party. Kudos, and we'd love to come back again. Thank you for the great service, Esmiralda🥰

The quality has improved enormously. The food is a delight to look at and enjoy. The welcome is incredibly friendly. The wait staff is friendly, helpful, and appropriately dressed. A huge compliment.

Today my son and I enjoyed a delicious lunch in a wonderfully cozy spot. We sat at a cozy table by the fireplace, which immediately created a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The pasta salad with cod was surprisingly flavorful and perfectly prepared. To finish, I was treated to a fantastic espresso, just as it should be. Sonja and Maarten topped it all off with their kindness and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food in a warm, personal setting.

At least at the Baron's, they still know what hospitality is. Old-fashioned excellence.

Last week they went a step further than usual. I discovered De Baron this year. I'd driven past it several times and spontaneously stopped in for lunch, and I've been back a few times since. Always delicious food and good service. Last week I had a really rough day, cried almost all day... that's the kind of day it was. I finally just went to De Baron for dinner. Too tired to cook. I think the storm was visible on my face, and the staff, and the manager in particular, made it a wonderful evening for me. This goes beyond general service, which is always excellent. This was pure compassion for others. Simply being kind without expecting anything in return.

Had surf and turf for lunch. Delicious!! Friendly staff and lovely, welcoming guests. Found this by chance, but highly recommended!

Delicious food. Great service! Super cozy. What more could you ask for?

We stumbled upon this restaurant because we were craving game. What a wonderful surprise! A cozy restaurant, truly delicious food and drinks, and truly fantastic service. You feel very welcome here. This is truly a night out to truly enjoy. We'll definitely be eating here again!

What an atmospheric restaurant. Delicious food and wonderfully friendly service.
