Food was sublime. Ate very tasty pasta. We were served by a very nice and helpful guy. The atmosphere was also good, we sat at a nice long table with beautiful paintings on the side.

Very quiet, early dinner. My husband had the very delicious lasagna and I had the pasta sausage and mushrooms. Homemade tiramisu for dessert served with yummy homemade vanilla ice cream.

I recently visited this Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, it was clear that the team lacked professional experience in restaurant service. They seemed a bit unorganized and untrained, which affected the overall experience. The food itself was quite good — flavorful and nicely presented. Unfortunately, we were not served any bread at the beginning of the meal, which is something we usually expect at an Italian place. We asked our waiter for some, and he acknowledged the request, but never brought it. It felt like our request was simply forgotten or ignored. Overall, a decent spot with potential, but definitely room for improvement when it comes to service and professionalism.

Received a tough tenderloin and staff that make so much noise that you can no longer hear each other

Well, that was a big disappointment last night. This restaurant is used as a clubhouse for a group of VWO 6 teenagers. Some of them will work there, but the rest are sitting there in the courtyard drinking and smoking, which you can hear and smell. The boys make themselves at home there and walk around and use the bar. A number of the teenagers were also sitting on the terrace smoking/vaping. I felt a bit of secondhand shame for the owner for allowing this to happen. Furthermore, the food was not particularly bad, but certainly not good either, uninspired, bland and uninterested. Then the hygiene, which was not in order, there is a large Parmegiano in the shop to prepare pasta, right next to it is the cleaning cloth and spray to clean the tables, the toilet was really dirty, the tables were dirty, the bar was dirty, the hallway near the toilets was particularly dirty, a lot of rubbish on the floor, the overall impression was not clean. I think I see from the latest reviews that all 5* reviews have been posted by the teenagers themselves 🤣 Don't go there if you are over 18! 🫣

Don’t get fooled by the reviews - and pls see the response from the resto on those reviews (esp low rated ones) Should tell you enough. Felt more like a shelter for hipster fraternity adolescents. Cleanliness was poor too. Toilets were looking like a party form the night before with rubbish everywhere. Food mediocre and I assume it’s half prepped in the kitchen coming from some food factory. Home made ravioli in perfect size, all equal …………. Wonder how that’s done The only part which seemed fresh, where some veggies we got on the side. So no 5* Basta!

I had mixed feelings about my recent visit. The pasta was definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, the risotto was a big letdown; it came out overly watery, more like a soup than a creamy risotto. Service was also quite slow.

I think we were on the wrong day. It was a big chaos. The owner kept yelling at his staff for small mistakes or when they stood still for a moment. We were placed in the middle of the aisle, close to the entrance, which meant that everyone had to walk close to our table. We were not sitting quietly because of that. Starter and main course were quickly one after the other, dessert took almost 1 hour afterwards. Food was good (pasta truffle)

Ruined last night in Amsterdam. My family and I opted to try this cute place away from the city centre to cap off a great stay in Amsterdam. The place was not full when arrived maybe 6 or 8 empty tables and we had a party of 4. No one greeted us or sat us down. We found our own table and flagged the wait staff that was chatting to help with order and clean the table. No problem yet, everything was good. Took order and drinks eventually arrived and got a couple of appetizers that we ordered. Then they disappeared, like the main order never went in. We initially didn't even notice since we had our drinks, but by the time we noticed about an hour had passed and no one was left in the restaurant. No one showed up for updates or anything. We flagged again since no one arrived. Asked about our food and they mumbled something about some concert and that the food was not ready. No apologies , just some mumbled excuse and wanted to know what we wanted to do. We payed for our drinks and walked away. Got no apologies or thank you. The good thing it wasn't late and we found an great location to enjoy our final night.

We were in Italy for a while last night. Had a wonderful meal in this restaurant. Fine flavours and that real simplicity of Italy.

If I could give it 0 stars I would, in fact if I could remove it I would do so so that more people don't go. We arrived, they sat us at a dirty table and they cleaned it as we were seated. He put the napkins on the same side of the table and we had to arrange them, for me that is not good service, but it is only the beginning. We ordered everything at the same time, the appetizers arrived, we finished, they picked up and we waited 1 HOUR and they didn't bring us the food, nor were there people anymore, everyone had already left and the chefs couldn't be seen cooking, so we asked for the bill, which they gave us right away. Also, when I went down to the bathroom, the bathroom was dirty and the area that seemed to be the cellar was super dirty.

Awful service. Beginning with the fact that they sat us down in a dirty table, cleaning it after we were sitting there. We order everything at once, they brought the appetizers relatively fast (not even that great btw), but then after ONE HOUR of WAITING, the main course never came, when we asked to bring the food or the check, they brought us the check in less than 3 minutes, obviously they hadn’t even placed the order yet. And even though we were polite when this happened they were rude about it. P.S. the restrooms aren’t clean

"ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS! The prices in the restaurant were COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than advertised online - a complete SCAM! I ordered a pasta with salmon and spinach and what did I get? A worthless pasta with salmon and PEAS! Who would think of just swapping ingredients without saying anything?! The service was BELOW ALL LEVEL - we reported the problems and the manager would report it and come up with a solution (never going back). most SHOCKING was that there were CHILDREN under the age of 12 working in the restaurant! CHILD LABOR in 2025?! Seriously?! This is an absolute DISGRACE and should be reported to the authorities

Chaos reigns! Very short staffed for service. Very slow. Even the owners 5 year old son was trying to help with menus and food delivery but that just adds to the confusion. The kitchen seems better staffed and was getting the food out fairly quickly. The quality was mixed. My penne vodka with bacon only reminded me of Mac and cheese with hot dogs. But the baratta was outstanding. So food was overall ok but the chaos in the front of house needs repair. Multiple table left without getting any service.

We had just finished our starter and our plates were being collected, we were asked if we could use the cutlery we had just used again... quite strange in a restaurant. Then the pasta that one of us received was scandalously little, after which the waiter said to me, can't you pour some of your pasta into your friend's plate? Never experienced that before. The waiter indicated that he would do something about it, but after 15 minutes there was still nothing, so we spoke to someone else and eventually a pasta was collected from our receipt. With the salmon spinach pasta, peas were served instead of spinach, which is very special. The carpaccio was quite a lot at one table, but at ours it was gone in 2 bites. We are certainly not the most difficult, but this was really bad. The end result is that we are all sitting at home with stomach aches. Never again.

We visited here given the good ratings, but were surprised by the low quality of the food: the salad looks like coming out of a mixed veggies packet from supermarket, less fresh than what we would get from a kebab place, the meet was of low quality as well, the potato seems to be reused.. and the food is even not cheap. I have nothing against the owner or the server as I am out of town, but it’s one of those moments when the google ratings betray you.

Je moet lang wachten voordat iemand de drankjes komt opnemen (was maar 1 persoon in de bediening die heel aardig trouwens heel aardig was) tafeltjes werden niet opgeruimd en de bar stond vol met glazen, niet echt gezellig. We hadden een antipasta schotel besteld voor 2 personen, de plank met hapjes zag er niet echt mooi uit maar de hapjes waren wel smakelijk. Verder garnalen en mosselen besteld . Lekker maar niet bijzonder. Ik denk dat je in Amsterdam beter Italiaans kan eten en met meer liefde klaar gemaakt. Ook voor de gezelligheid raad ik dit restaurant niet aan.

Verschrikkelijk! Carpaccio uit een pakje. Niet eens de moeite genomen om de plakjes van elkaar te halen. Uitgedroogde parmezaan erop gegooid. Hoofdgerecht eveneens kant en klaar opgewarmd. Had pasta in Parmezaanse kaas bereid moeten zijn. Nou hij is uit de pan in de kaas geschept en daarna direct op het bord en evengoed zat er overal vieze kleffe saus die niets met die kaas te maken had

Estábamos buscando un almuerzo italiano rápido y decente. Classico tenía bastante buenas calificaciones, así que ¿por qué no? Gran error. No entendemos cómo las calificaciones pueden ser relativamente altas en un lugar que claramente carece de atención: al interior, a la comida y al vino. Como las tarjetas de menú revestidas de plástico parecían bastante gastadas, pedí especiales del día, preferiblemente con trufa. Se confirmó que en efecto tienen un plato de trufa / pasta, que ordené con gusto. Ese fue el error número 2. Puede haber habido una cantidad muy pequeña de aceite de trufa allí, pero definitivamente ni siquiera un toque de trufa fresca. Gran decepción en general - no volveremos.

This Italian Restaurant Classic is a true gem in Amsterdam, the Chef and the personeel are exceptional. The menu is fabulous and the wines list is great, the recommended Puglia was excellent. What a treat to be there and see the chef make the pasta on the Cheese and finish with truffels. Don’t take our word for it, but go and try the menu, indulge yourself in taste.

The food is delicious. I will bring every friend who comes to Amsterdam to eat it.

Honestly, your nonas would be ashamed of your pastas. I overhead the staff speaking Italian and.. the pasta was a bit offensive. Not fresh but from a package, ingredients were also mediocre, no cheese. Overall, poor recipe execution. I am not sure why this restaurant has such a high rating. Staff was super friendly though!

Eten is matig en veel te duur. Prijzen van menu op de website kloppen niet met menu in restaurant: veel duurder. Vooraf mosselen, 10 mosselen in saus voor €17,50. Hoofdgerecht vis, doc vissoorten niet gegrild maar gebakken, klein stukje zalm, klein stukje onbestemde wit vis ( snoekbaars?) 3 mosselen en halve gamba voor € 27,50. De Italianen zouden zich schamen voor wat hier op tafel gezet wordt. Veel te duur voor erbarmelijke kwaliteit .

Had dinner with a large group last weekend, worst service I have ever experienced. The guys who worked there had no manners, were arrogant and couldn't replace a keg while we had an unlimited drinks package. Instead I got a can of Klok beer and after that everything was “finished” but their friends were all drinking Heineken downstairs so that wasn't right. The owner should really be ashamed of the retarded 16 year olds he hires. So never organize a dinner!

Op aanraden hier een tafeltje gereserveerd voor vrijdagavond 27/12. Helaas een flinke tegenvaller. Lag het aan de drukte? Geen idee. Wij kregen een tafel toegewezen in het lagere gedeelte van het restaurant. Voor dat deel was er slechts 1 ober voor pakweg 12 tafels. Het duurde dan ook pakweg 15-20m voor we onze drank kregen. Bij de tapasplank kregen we 4 kleine borden waarvan er 3 vuil waren. Tafels waarvan de gasten al vertrokken waren werden niet afgeruimd. Tot 3 maal toe hebben we moeten water vragen voor we het kregen. De laatste 20 minuten dat we er zaten bleven de tafels vol staan met lege borden en glazen (zie foto). Ons zien ze daar alvast niet meer terug.

Very cozy table for four people. Tasty and lots of food for a good price. Pasta parmesan was served from the cheese wheel. Afterwards we had to go to the concert hall and we made it there without having to rush. Top restaurant for Italian lovers! Paid €40 per person for 4 people, 3 courses and a bottle of wine. The owner serves himself and is a very friendly, spontaneous man! A great experience all around!

We have here a chef yelling at customers, a kid serving and touching people’s food and the rest of the waiters totally incompetent wondering around avoiding guests eyes. I was with 3 friends and we left without eating after an hour and a half waiting for someone to take our order.

Made a reservation for lunch (and accepted). We arrived at the door around 1:00 PM. It was closed. It looked deserted. Gave everything here 1 star but we will never know what the food, service or atmosphere is like. We will never go here again.
