Trattoria Fantasia in De Weteringschans

We order Risotto and Pasta with creamy sauce x salmon. Love the flavors, not too salty like in other places. However Risotto is still a bit hard for me. The staff is vey helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t see the cat!

Unfortunately, my experience at this Italian restaurant in Amsterdam was disappointing. The prices were exaggerated for dishes that had very little Italian about them. The “risotto” served was simply boiled rice, without any trace of creaming. The carbonara was fatty and lacked the characteristic balance of flavours. To conclude, the saltimbocca was literally drowned in oil, making it heavy and unappetizing. The general impression is that there is no Italian chef in the kitchen, nor anyone who really knows the gastronomic tradition of our country.

Authentic Italian restaurant with delicious pizzas This restaurant offers a true Italian experience! The pizza was delicious, freshly prepared and served within 10 minutes. You can immediately taste that only fresh ingredients are used. Plus, the prices are surprisingly low, even cheaper than Domino's, making it an excellent choice. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant was well maintained, including clean restrooms. However, the space is on the small side, which makes it quickly noisy. In addition, ventilation could be better, because it was quite warm inside. Despite these minor drawbacks, this restaurant is highly recommended for lovers of real Italian pizza!

Having a weekend lunch here was by far the best and most exciting event we've had in Amsterdam in terms of a going out with a small kid. The waiter/owner was so helpful and played with our kid, so that our whole family had so much fun. The food was also great, as well as the atmosphere and the local cat :) We definitely plan to come here again.

Nos topamos con el restaurante y no nos decepcionó. La comida era hermosa y auténtica, la pizza era enorme, y no pudimos terminarla. ¡Seguido por el mejor tiramisú que he comido! El personal era tan amable y nos hizo sentir como en casa, a un precio razonable con porciones enormes, especialmente el alcohol. Todo esto fue seguido por una visita de la gata Olivia, que realmente nos alegró la noche! Recomendaría encarecidamente a cualquiera que quiera una cena italiana fría sin prisa!

Aanrader. Mijn dochter (6) en ik kwamen zonder reservering en we werden direct vriendelijk geholpen. De bediening was vlot en ze dachten goed mee, zoals bv zelf komen vragen of de lasagne ook in een groot bord mocht zodat hij beter kon afkoelen voor mijn dochter. Het eten was er snel en lekker. Wij logeren in het hotel ernaast La Boheme en ik zou het zeker aanraden voor iedereen die daar verblijft.

This restaurant is located right opposite the DeLaMar theater. This makes it suitable for a bite to eat in the theater before the performance. They serve delicious pizzas and pasta dishes. The service is friendly, attentive and fleet. Price level is reasonable by Amsterdam standards.

Best food in Amsterdam - full stop -

Wij hadden hoge verwachting van dit restaurant, maar dat viel tegen. Door een chagrijnige baas werden wij naar beneden gestuurd. Ongezellige zaal met TL licht. Carpaccio kwam volgens mij van de AH, flauw en weinig smaak. De Carbonara, ik maak deze zelf veel beter. Ook zeer smaakloos en totaal niet zoals een carbonara hoort te zijn. De Melanzane alla parmigiana bestond enkel uit mazarella en was ook smaakloos. Al met al een teleurstellende smaakloze avond.

We had dinner here before we went to the musical "Our Jordaan". had high expectations of this restaurant, which was very disappointing. Were sent down by a grumpy owner. A bare room with terrible fluorescent lighting. I think the Carpaccio came from the AH, it was bland and very tasteless. Then the Carbonara. I make this better myself. This was also very tasteless and not at all what a Carbonara should be. The Melanzane alla parmigiana also had little flavor and consisted only of mozzarella. All in all a very tasteless dinner. the wine was very tasty and the lady who served us was friendly. Tip for guests, if you go to the theater and like tasteless food, you can be outside again within 30 minutes. everything was served (too) quickly.

We were in Amsterdam for a long weekend. Because of a concert at Meltwek, we were looking for a restaurant within walking distance and came across Trattoria Fantasia. We really weren't disappointed! Even without a reservation on a Friday evening, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table in the basement. (3 people) 2x pizza & 1x pasta were amazing! Highly recommended!! ❤️

November 10th we had a delicious meal with a group of friends. We received a very friendly welcome and the reserved table was set. Received good advice when ordering. The dishes were very good and matched the advice, very good, friendly service. The pace of serving was very nice, room for conversations. In short, if you are in the area, definitely drop by for an excellent meal

pretty nice food. i had tomato brushetta to start and it was lovely. my mum had mushroom tortellini with prawns and courgettes and said it was incredible. my main was penne pomodoro and it was somewhat spicey? why did plain tomato pasta involve chili??? overall, it was pretty good.

Very good Italian food. I had Parmigiana as starter, then Spaghetti Carbonara as main and finally Tiramisù as dessert. Very clean restaurant and service was fast.

Thank you to all the staff at this lovely restaurant. When we arrived, it was exceptionally busy due to a lot of people eating before going to the theatre across the road. So maybe book a reservation. We only had to wait 10 minutes or so before we were seated. The staff were very nice, helpful, and friendly. The food was excellent, tasty, and not a crumb left on the plate. Highly recommend a visit to this fabulous place.

Sólo un fraude. No es un restaurante, es solo un horno microondas gigante. Se llevan al menos 30 € para calentar la comida congelada (la peor comida congelada que podrías encontrar en un supermercado). El gato es esponjoso, pero si lo acaricias, pisará tu plato.

Brilliant service, one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had, loved sitting by the flowers with the windows open. Olivia did come and say hello too which was really exciting!

Is quite high on Google, why is a mystery. Really inattentive waiters. Forgot to give us a menu, it can happen, but they followed up very little along the way, difficult to get in touch to pay - in an almost empty restaurant. When the food is also prepared in advance - and tastes sad... the result is disappointing

Thanks Fantasia Tratoria for serving me an amazingly well prepared food. It’s a restaurant that you can feel how good they cares to give you the best. They put a lot of attention to their preparation and the staff is very kind and polite. Will surely drop by many more times. The mezzalune was simply fantastic.

Staff busy chatting rather than helping customers. Ordered lasagna which came cold inside. Instead of saying sorry the waiter started going into discussions saying it’s not frozen but cold cause they don’t freeze food. After warming up the lasagne once more no one ever passed by to check if everyhting is fine.

Unfortunately, it did not surprise expectations in a positive way. The wine was tasty and was poured generously. Was the glass empty? Then nothing happened... we asked for another glass of wine, then again nothing happened... getting something to drink twice in three hours is scandalous... the starter came to the table quickly and was very tasty. The main course? It lasted and it lasted and it lasted. (Read two hours waiting) after which it wasn't even really tasty, not what you expect from an Italian! Shame!

I had dinner at the restaurant one evening, what can I say, the food was not up to the price, the chicken we ordered seemed to have just been defrosted and cooked. Inside the place was completely anonymous, nothing distinctive, no tablecloth or placemat and a cat (olivia) that roams on the benches near the tables where you eat. Not really recommended at all.

I have birthday dinner, it was perfect, everything was so good and delicious, quite and simple atmosphere. Recommend.

Everything is great. The salad is super big and they throw in everything. The delicious pizzas I wish we had met him the first day we arrived in Amsterdam. The cat is super affectionate and the waiter is very attentive and friendly.

It's a great Italian restaurant from the outside, so is the ambience. But only two types of pasta are cut there, the others are ready😕 The lasagna was so doughy, my daughter couldn't even eat half of it. I ate risotto, and since no salt was added while cooking, it didn't taste good even though I kept adding salt. We could have made a better choice for this culinary experience…
