Because it was so close to our hotel, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant on our last night in Amsterdam, and it was a great choice. The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. We shared chicken and mushroom risotto, spinach and ricotta pasta, and tiramisu between two people. Highly recommended!

We found this restaurant looking for something to eat that wasn't fast food, as it was raining and it was just around the corner from our hotel. We absolutely loved it! Authentic Italian food, excellent service, and their cat Olivia was great company. My partner and I were delighted, and we'll definitely be back!

Nope. At 8:00 pm it was empty (advertised to close at 10:00pm) and the staff was almost ready to just close for the night. In a Friday! Anyway, we stepped in and ordered two dishes, one risotto, one pasta, that were absolutely tasteless and bland. Nothing to it. No effort to make it special…nothing.

I was on a layover tour in Amsterdam. After walking around for a long time, I got hungry and came across this restaurant. I think I arrived just as they had opened, and they welcomed me kindly and served really good and delicious food. By the way, the cat is also lovely. :)

Went with my brother to eat pizza. Pizza looked and tasted like it came out of a frozen pizza box. Not good at all if you're thinking of a typical pizza. Really sad🥹

We arrived at the same time as many other guests, resulting in some delays. Maybe the the other guests were all going to the same theatre performance as we were. Anyway, our waitress was a lovely lady who did all she could to give us a positive experience. The food and wines were super. Still, we had time time for a main course, dessert and coffee. Next time we will book a slot that is earlier than other theatre guests will likely book so that we have a more relaxed dinner.

Some of the worst Italian food I ever had. Both the Pasta and pizza were really bland with no salt or flavor. Pizza tasted like it was not fresh. We ordered the simplest pasta aglio e olio which is very hard to make bad.

Na een heerlijke voorstelling in het De La Mar theater in Amsterdam is het slechts een kwestie van de straat oversteken en u bent hier binnen. Als je het op deze locatie al 45 jaar kunt volhouden moet het wel goed zijn en dat is het dan ook. De gereserveerde tafel is van onze naam voorzien, keurig. De bediening zeer vriendelijk en lief. Voorzag ons van goede adviezen. Vooraf deelden wij een spaghetti carbonara, onze vrienden een tagliatelle met zalm. Voortreffelijke pastas, huisgemaakt en dat proef je. Als hoofdgerechten gekozen voor kip en entrecote in gorgonzola saus en ossenhaas met champignonsaus. Mooie vleesgerechten met heerlijke sauzen. Tot slot een portie Tiramisu met z’n vieren gedeeld. Voeg hier de smakelijke wijnen aan toe en je hebt een topavond gehad. Nogmaals de topbediening hier benoemen!

We arrived around 2:30 p.m. on a Saturday. The place is super chic, very clean, and simply atmospheric. The owner is incredibly friendly and spoke to us in both English and German. The food was fantastic, even though we added a bit of salt. The highlight was the tiramisu *chef's kiss*. It was probably the best tiramisu we've ever had. The restrooms are also very clean and chic. All in all, I highly recommend it!

If you want traditional, Italian food, you’ve come to the right place. A small quaint restaurant across from the Delmar theater. Every dish was true Italian cuisine. The Bruschette Tircolore, the Melanzane, the Pasta Puttanesca and Margarita Pizza 55 Euros for a wonderful dinner. Glad we found this.

Been there twice in a week and a half. The first time with two people, the second time with four people. Pleasant, hospitable service. Humorous, very attentive and thinking along with the guest. The pastas are very tasty and flavorful, the pizzas fantastic. The bruschettas with different spreads are great: full of flavor, surprising and fresh. Opposite theater DeLaMar is an Italian gem: Trattoria Fantasia and that is not fantasy, but reality!

Disgusting pizza with few ingredients

Drukke ruimte om te eten, wij zaten in de kelderruimte wat erg warm was en gehorig. Een normaal gesprek met elkaar was niet te voeren. 1 man in de bediening voor boven en beneden. Duurde daardoor erg lang voor er een bestelling werd opgenomen. Wijn matig, pasta's niets bijzonders. Bij het afrekenen blijkt men bijna 9 euro te vragen voor een fles San Pellegrino water! Bij een opmerking hierover werd gezegd dat moet je tegen mijn baas zeggen.... Kortom ga wat eten en drinken bij de vele andere eetgelegenheden in de buurt van het theater en sla deze over!

We order Risotto and Pasta with creamy sauce x salmon. Love the flavors, not too salty like in other places. However Risotto is still a bit hard for me. The staff is vey helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we didn’t see the cat!

Niets is Italiaans! Carpaccio uit supermarket schappen, pasta met kookvocht, flauwe lasagne saus. Primi hebben geduld maar hoofdgerechten niet kunnen eten. Wel betaald en werd niet eens gevraagd waarom we met eten nog op onze boorden afgerekend hebben. Echt slecht!

Unfortunately, my experience at this Italian restaurant in Amsterdam was disappointing. The prices were exaggerated for dishes that had very little Italian about them. The “risotto” served was simply boiled rice, without any trace of creaming. The carbonara was fatty and lacked the characteristic balance of flavours. To conclude, the saltimbocca was literally drowned in oil, making it heavy and unappetizing. The general impression is that there is no Italian chef in the kitchen, nor anyone who really knows the gastronomic tradition of our country.

You can immediately taste that only fresh ingredients are used. Plus, the prices are surprisingly low, even cheaper than Domino's, making it an excellent choice. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant was well maintained, including clean restrooms. However, the space is on the small side, which makes it quickly noisy. In addition, ventilation could be better, because it was quite warm inside. Despite these minor drawbacks, this restaurant is highly recommended for lovers of real Italian pizza!

Having a weekend lunch here was by far the best and most exciting event we've had in Amsterdam in terms of a going out with a small kid. The waiter/owner was so helpful and played with our kid, so that our whole family had so much fun. The food was also great, as well as the atmosphere and the local cat :) We definitely plan to come here again.

Nos topamos con el restaurante y no nos decepcionó. La comida era hermosa y auténtica, la pizza era enorme, y no pudimos terminarla. ¡Seguido por el mejor tiramisú que he comido! El personal era tan amable y nos hizo sentir como en casa, a un precio razonable con porciones enormes, especialmente el alcohol. Todo esto fue seguido por una visita de la gata Olivia, que realmente nos alegró la noche! Recomendaría encarecidamente a cualquiera que quiera una cena italiana fría sin prisa!

Aanrader. Mijn dochter (6) en ik kwamen zonder reservering en we werden direct vriendelijk geholpen. De bediening was vlot en ze dachten goed mee, zoals bv zelf komen vragen of de lasagne ook in een groot bord mocht zodat hij beter kon afkoelen voor mijn dochter. Het eten was er snel en lekker. Wij logeren in het hotel ernaast La Boheme en ik zou het zeker aanraden voor iedereen die daar verblijft.

This restaurant is located right opposite the DeLaMar theater. This makes it suitable for a bite to eat in the theater before the performance. They serve delicious pizzas and pasta dishes. The service is friendly, attentive and fleet. Price level is reasonable by Amsterdam standards.
