Great food. My partner and I went out for dinner. We are expats, in the moment, we did not reply in Dutch, we felt unwelcomed by the staff. Everytime, they came to our table, the only spoke to Dutch with us and we asked if possible to speak in English, which they said yes but we had the same issue every time we asked for anything. This riun a little bit the experience as the food is amazing. When we left, we said thanks and the answer we got is "ok, bye".

Chaos! An hour and a half wait for pizza. The staff was completely out of control. The pizza was nothing special.

We dined here with the entire team (30 people) and were incredibly satisfied. The large antipasti plates and wood-fired pizzas were of very high quality; even the gluten-free pizza was exceptionally delicious, as were the fresh pastas. Our Italian colleague was impressed (which isn't often the case in Amsterdam). Definitely recommended for group dinners or a cozy get-together for two in a charming and professional neighborhood restaurant. We'll be back soon!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and delicious pizza; thankfully, there's now a good vegan option too. And it's great that the wine is priced according to traditional standards, and a carafe of tap water isn't a point of contention.

We had to wait a long time for our food (an hour), but the Yam Yam pizza was delicious again. This is the best pizza in Amsterdam.

Haven't been there in a while, but had surprisingly good pizzas again. The shared grilled vegetable appetizer was also excellent. Best spot in the side area.

I visited Yamyam and had a really good experience. The food was delicious, especially the pizza, which tasted fresh and authentic with a light, flavorful crust. The atmosphere is nice for a casual dinner, cozy and comfortable for a relaxed evening.

Eating here, grandsons graduated from high school (Havo) and high school (Gymnasium). We chose a vegetarian pizza ourselves.

This was my review made many years ago. "Without a doubt one of the best places for Pizza in Amsterdam!" But now that I ate here today again, and mind I eat here frequently over 20 years, I'm a bit disappointed. Quality is less, service is slow, not as it used to be. Hope for improvement next time.

2.5 stars, right down the middle. Pizza is incredibly solid. Definitely some of the best I’ve had in the city. Tiramisu is a bit bland and forgettable. Service is the unfortunate reason for the lower rating - staff were very inattentive coupled with a few rude comments thrown behind our backs in Dutch about our lack of tipping during payment. Probably assumed our dining group were expats because we were conversing in English, but in reality were a mixed group of locals and long term residents with a good grasp of Dutch 🤷

My favorite pizzeria in Amsterdam. I first came here almost 20 years ago. Their signature pizza, yamyam, was just as delicious then as it is now. The service has always been typical Amsterdam: unique. But that's perhaps what makes it so unique.

Tasty pizza in a quiet atmosphere

We loved the food here . We ordered the YAM YAM pizza and the eggplant Parmesan! Both amazing to say the least. The pizza crust is thin and crunchy, the tomato sauce is rich and just the right balance , and the cheese mixes perfectly with the other flavors . Not a big eggplant fan but their eggplant Parmesan made me want to devour it ! Will come again and highly recommend ! Well done team

Top 3 of the best pizzas I have ever eaten! And the desserts were incredible too we had pecan pie 🤌🏼 The staff was super friendly, we didn't have a reservation, everything was full but she told us to come back in 30 minutes and we were able to get a table!

One of my favorite local place for a cozy dinner with friends and family. Yam yam is not trying to be more than it is, simple good tasting Italian food with friendly staff!

The food was delicious and the service was friendly, although it could sometimes be a bit faster. A lot of love and attention clearly goes into the dishes, which is certainly visible. Sometimes, however, a little more taste experience can be added to the pasta and pizzas.

Food is excellent (try the yamyam pizza!) The place is genuine, cozy in a way, the right drinks and deserts and personal service. Do not go if you are in a hurry ( or do a takeaway) but enjoy the atmosphere and vibe. I come here over 20 years and def recommend it, make a reservation though

Food is very tasty but the service is bad. The service is very grumpy when you enter until you leave. We politely called to say that we would arrive 30 minutes later and that 1.5 hours of dining would be enough for us. Upon arrival we were grumpily announced that we could only eat for 1.5 hours (we knew that and it had already been discussed on the phone). However, people looked strange that we ordered an appetizer. When we wanted to order dessert, we were no longer able to do so even though we still had 15 minutes until 8 p.m. The grumpy lady said that all desserts are made fresh and that it was no longer timely. Tiramisu was already made in advance, so we ate it on time and finished at 7:55 PM. Too bad YamYam, do something about the service, more enthusiasm among the staff and a warm welcome will make a difference. —————————————————————- In response to your response (I am unable to respond in any other way): Thank you YamYam for your response. It's a shame that you consider our feedback childish. We called to let them know we would be late, hoping this would help with scheduling. It is disappointing that this was not the case and that we were made to feel that our presence was a burden. I understand it can be busy, but as a guest you expect a certain level of service regardless of the circumstances. I don't mean to place the blame solely on you, but our experience was far from what we had hoped for. Hopefully you can use this feedback to improve the experience for future guests.

Well, not to sound rude or put you down, but call it “Italian restaurant” isn’t that fair for the food we eaten and what read in the menu. The pizza is quite far from the italians traditions, I didn’t tried the rest, so i can’t tell about. The staff was nice, nothing to complain. Price okay, but for the same amount you can taste a real italian pizza in the city.

I’ve been coming to this pizzeria for years, and it’s been there around for at least 15 years, maybe longer. The interior is pretty simple but cozy, with real wooden oven. I especially love their signature ‘Yam-Yam’ pizza and the truffle cheese — they’re must-tries. The staff is friendly, and the service is consistently good. A simple but very charming place with delicious food. Highly recommend.

My favorite pizza restaurant in Amsterdam comes every few weeks. Atmosphere is relaxed, pizzas are thin and crispy and the staff is nice and passionate.

A few days ago we had a delicious meal here with a friend who has been coming here for years. One evening and you will immediately understand why! As a starter we shared bread with Melanzane, which was already delicious. The pizzas were all delicious, I had the pasta siciliana and it was so delicious. The restaurant is highly recommended, the atmosphere and service were also excellent. Unfortunately I live a two hour drive away but hope to come back!

Terrible, slow and inattentive service. We specifically requested that the starters and mains be served together, but unfortunately, we had to wait for over an hour for the main course while we finished the starter. On a positive note, the burrata salad was delightful, although the pizza did not stand out as anything special.

After all these years, still the best Italian food in Amsterdam. The last time we were there before COVID, and now we went there for dinner few days ago. As a returning customer, you are happy if the place keeps it's quality throughout the years. This place managed to get better in time. The food is still excellent, but the service, that used to be - interesting - got much much better.

Gisteren met zijn tweeën gegeten en we zijn vriendelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar. Al het eten was erg goed van smaak en bereiding. de pizza's waren echt heel goed en verfijnd van smaak. De zaak zelf is erg netjes en ruim, maar toch gezellig. Zeker een aanrader!

A nice Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. They are very busy especially during dinner time, so booking beforehand is very recommended. Place is cute, not too big, and somewhat felt so warm and welcoming. Staffs were friendly and waiting time was relatively alright. We ordered Margeritha Pizza, Yam Yam special Pizza, Salsicce e Funghi Porcini, Ravioli Spinachi and Ravioli with cheese. Everything was really really nice, cooked to perfection. The star was the Salsicce, mind blowingly good and definitely something you should order when visiting this restaurant. Price was okay too for the portion and quality of the foods. Highly recommended!!

Ambiente muito agradável, bom atendimento e os pratos que pedimos estavam bons (raviolis e pizza YamYam). Mas o que mais me surpreendeu foi sem dúvida a sobremesa, pedimos a sobremesa de chocolate e apesar de não ser uma sobremesa muito grande, todos os elementos estavam incríveis, especialmente o bolo! Se pudesse levava o bolo inteiro para casa em vez de comer só um pedaço.

We zijn vriendelijk ontvangen. En er heerst een leuke ongedwongen sfeer. De pizza’s zijn heerlijk. Ze zijn goed van smaak. Mooi van formaat en vullen goed. En de nagerechten waren zelfgemaakt en ook super van smaak. Het was allemaal niet te zout of te zoet. Een lekkere wijn erbij en ons avondje vloog voorbij. We hebben hier met de kinderen gegeten. Maak je geen zorgen, voor hun is er een kleiner formaat zodat de pizza ook op gaat. En lukt dat even niet, dan is het geen straf om zelf een extra puntje op te eten 😁 Wanneer we weer in Amsterdam zijn, staat deze zeker weer op ons lijstje.

The place is lovely, very cosy atmosphere however, I was quite disappointed by the pizza. The dough was not puffy or airy, but dry. The tomato sauce tasted like canned sauce from the supermarket, and the spinach tasted like defrosted spinach. Overall the pizzas left a lot to be desired. On a positive note, I like that they offer 1/2 and 1/4 L wine, the tiramisu was very tasty as well as the limoncello.

Vegetarian pizza was different than in other places, as it had more mushrooms. This changed the taste and I really liked it. I definitely recommend this place.

con famiglia dopo 15 giorni di viaggio abbiamo deciso di cenare in pizzeria. locale sobrio con personale attento al cliente. oltre alle pizze sono disponibili alcuni primi e 2 secondi, una serie di affettati italiani. il pizzaiolo sembra locale ma le pizze sono discrete così come le linguine ai gamberi. buonissima la pizza bianca con pomodorini e buttata.
