Restaurant FAAM in Geuzenbuurt

Don’t order through uber eats. They will deliver you a cold pizza. I send them an email but they truly don’t care. Got a refund of 2,49……. Pizza was not eatable anymore. Can’t FAAM do something about this? Yes don’t work with Uber Eats.

Absolutely love Faam! The pizzas are delicious—authentic, just like being in Italy. The staff couldn’t be friendlier, and their service is top-notch. We had some trouble booking for our group of 15, but they quickly sorted it out and even set up two picnic tables for us, really great!! Highly recommend!

Came here on a sunny, extremely busy Friday night. These guys were so good, got us seated quickly, the pizza is fantastic from their wood fired oven. Outstanding service from people who care about great food services with hospitality! Empty place says it all. PS it’s my local and already on my second trip in 3 days.

We came to this restaurant by chance. It was 7:23 p.m. and we were served 40 minutes later, the service was really long. On the other hand, we enjoyed our pizzas which were generous and delicious. Fair prices.

We have been coming to FAAM for 2 years now, but we notice with every visit that the quality of the food is deteriorating. Yesterday was a new low with disappointing pizzas (the dough has become much less tasty?) and a tasteless pasta. Too bad because we think it is a very cozy place with nice service where you like to drop in.

De bestelde pizza was thuis om te genieten! Wilden het graag een keer in het restaurant proberen. We kregen een tafel aangewezen, maar hierna na 40 minuten wachten en geen enkele moeite tot contact, maar weggegaan naar Pazzi (altijd goed) om de hoek.. Jammer.. laat tenminste even weten dat het druk is en vreselijk lang duurt.. We gaan het vast nog een keer proberen maaaaar dit was sllleeecht!

Pizza was disappointing. Soil was okay, but if you order a Pizza Prosciutto e Funghi for 18.50 you expect mushrooms and Italian ham. I got a pizza with at least mushrooms and Dutch ham from the supermarket. Lots of cheese and no toppings. Crappy pizza and minimal for the price. Making four pizzas also took about 45 minutes. All delivery people went first. Don't worry if you get a delicious pizza. Furthermore, nice service. Another downside is that cigarette smoke comes in from the terrace through the open door and windows. Not really tasty. I think I'll go to the pizza bakers again next time for a tasty pizza...

disagree with those saying pizza toppings was less….How much more do you need than photos shown. Pizza is not the best (just average) in Amsterdam but I value the good service, cozy environment and having a cat is a plus. I don’t need more.

Cozy little Italian restaurant in the middle of the residential area in Amsterdam. Highly recommended!

They charge 4 euros for a bottle of filtered tap water. Pizza topping quantity is very limited

Pizzas have sadly changed recently, much less doughy, pizza toppings have been reduced a lot too. Changed a lot from the previous FAAM that had a great community and 5* pizzas.

At the end of the meal we were approached several times because we had received a coke instead of a beer (Social Deal). However, we had asked the waitress about this in advance, and she indicated that this was no problem. However, afterwards an employee came to us irritated. We would like to ask you to communicate clearly with your staff about the policy regarding replacements, so that such situations can be avoided. After all, it's a coke, and this kind of reaction diminishes the entire experience. We are talking about a purchase price difference of 15 cents.

The pizzas remain good and the service is friendly. Unfortunately, a number of things have decreased since the takeover, higher prices, long waits and less generous investments. My advice is to pick it up.

We had an excellent group dinner at Faam. Great price, yummy pizzas and nice atmosphere. We sat outside and find you often get forgotten when sitting outside but the waitress (dark hair) was awesome! Very attentive and friendly. Lovely evening all around !

I absolutely loved this place. Came in randomly after picking up my kid from his BSO which is closeby. The service was excellent. We ordered 2 margaritas for 3 of us and it was phenomenal. The waitresses were super friendly and the service was super fast. I highly recommend this place.

The atmosphere has become very mediocre since the new interior. Too full for the acoustics. Old furnishings back, then I will come again.

Good food in itself. Good pizza, pasta also ok. A bit on the expensive side. What is really a problem is the service in this restaurant. The last three times we came here we always had to wait at least 45 minutes for our food, sometimes even longer. While there were only two of us and it was really not busy in the restaurant. They also forgot things we ordered the last two times and it took a long time before someone came to take the order and they were certainly not really friendly either. Too bad, but I fear this was our last visit.

I have been waiting for over 20 minutes for the staff to pick up my order. And waited for the food. Overall I waited about 1 hour. But the pizza was delicious.

We planned to have dinner at Faam as it is usually a nice and easy place to go to. But lately the service is so bad and today we just had enough after our starter as we were sitting outside next to the kitchen and couldn’t understand our own words as the two chefs were so loud, obnoxious and annoying. It seemed like they had a houseparty, behaved like they are too cool for school, maybe even high on something. It was so unpleasant that we left after the drink and one dish. A nice social vibe is one thing but this was next level irritating. The good is normally good, but we will rather go to other places with decent staff. Huge bummer

Get the Focaccia, and sit at the bar in the back so you can watch the finesse of the pizzas being made, and you’ll enjoy some nice entertainment too!

A local friend of mine took me to Faam because, according to her, it's one of the best pizza places in the whole city, so my expectations were pretty high. Firstly, the service was absolutely phenomenal. Two waitresses took care of us during our visit, chatted with us in fluent English and made our experience at the restaurant better than I had expected. While the pizzas are on the pricier side, I'd say it's almost justified. The portions are big, like, the pizzas were massive, but I don't know if this is a Neapolitan pizza thing or not but the center of my pizza was very soggy, which gave it an undercooked kind of feeling that I didn't enjoy, even though it was probably perfectly cooked. Careful with the salciccia pizza because the spicy meat is definitely spicy 😂 My only complaint is that I was offered a wine, that I had tried before deciding on it, but the waitress did not mention that it's almost a 9€ glass of wine and the pour was definitely not worth the 9€ of chardonnay, of all wines. The bathroom had its charm, just like the restaurant itself, but the sink was incredibly tiny so the water went everywhere. I'd definitely recommend this place for good pizza but I'd be careful with the wines and I'd inquire for the price beforehand, if I were you.

What fantastic pizzas. This is how it should be. Friendly staff, although at one point they forgot the people sitting outside, but very friendly, so that's why the service is 4/5. Very reasonable prices and located in a pleasant street. Highly recommended. The panna cotta is fantastic.

The pizza transports me back to Italy and the service is super nice. Whenever I eat pizza somewhere for the first time, I always try the margherita with the idea that this basic pizza gives you a taste of how good a pizzeria is. It didn't disappoint me. Thin base, delicious juicy and tasty ingredients and a fluffy crust. My friend, who is not normally a fan of pizza, also really enjoyed his tartufo. We had a nice sit there (this can be done both inside and outside at picnic tables) and were served cheerfully and friendly by the service girl. We will definitely come back here again!

Always great. After 3 years I finally went again, I used to come there often. Food is just less tasty than in the beginning. The amount of burratta has decreased significantly. Also tasty and friendly staff

A bit disappointed about our pizza, we had the one with the burrata and we had not that much on our pizza, but the staff is really kind.

Faam laat zien dat een pizza bakken een ambacht is en dat ze het ambacht niet beheersen! De antipasti was prima. De pizza’s echter zijn het dieptepunt van de Italiaanse keuken. De bodem is een natte kleffe bende en de topping is smakeloos! De bediening is vriendelijk en het feit dat de kat vrij in en uitloopt en tevreden op een stoel gaat liggen brengt een glimlach op het gezicht. Ook de prijs-kwaliteit van de wijn is redelijk. Nice pizza but a bit overpriced. Salciccia is the best pizza and caprese can be skipped. Espresso martini was really good and strong. Lasagna was average with less meat and spices. It was mostly cheese. Cost for a pizza is around 19€ and average cost per person is 20€.
