Ate here with social deal. A delicious Indian rice table. Very much enjoyed it together with someone who regularly visits India.

Very good Indian cuisine (not excessively spicy for those who might be afraid), don't be fooled by the name and the decor which leaves something to be desired, the food is top notch!

The food was good and affordable, but the service left a lot to be desired. While we were waiting for our order, I played a video for my friends. Out of nowhere, the waitress rudely and condescendingly asked us, in front of everyone, to stop because "there were other people in the restaurant." The volume wasn’t even loud, and we weren’t disturbing anyone. It’s strange to run a restaurant and expect it to feel like a library.

The food was pretty good. 4 stars.

This restaurant was recommended by our Indian friend, and I have to say it was perfect. The owner is very helpful and kind and the prices are very low in comparison with the quantity and the quality of the food. If you want to try Indian cuisine, this is definitely a great option.

I truly don't know where to begin - I placed an order with Über, saw straight away that Über picked up a wrong location, called 3 (!!) times, apologised, explained, asked if I shpukd cancel, sent new address, restaurant says not to worry. Next thing I know, Über guy calls me and says, it is too far for him to go, nothing he can do. I call restaurant again, the same guy (!!) tells me, if Über does not deliver, it is my problem 😁😂 No wonder they are called Kamasutra, it's truly what they do best

Excellent restaurant, very generous menu for 2. Everything is perfect, the flavors, the dishes. The boss is welcoming. The restaurant is simple but high quality I recommend this restaurant in Amsterdam. Thank you we had a great time deserves much more than 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

On a trip with my friends, I had one of the best Indian food experiences of my life

It really tasted very good, we didn't expect it at all. The waiter was very friendly and gave us good advice on our selection. Will definitely come back on our next trip to Amsterdam, a clear recommendation from us 👍

Ate here at 11 oct '24. The food was great! I didnt much like 'rice pudding' desert, yet it wasnt distasteful. The rice table is greatly put together, very soft and delicious meat. The waiter was very kind, thanks for the nice evening!

Been with social deal. Very good action. The food was truly sublime. Very tasty. Tasty curries, tasty bread, tasty dips and good portions. Only the atmosphere in the restaurant leaves something to be desired. We sat in the fluorescent lighting and it looked a bit outdated. But I will definitely come back when I'm in Amsterdam!

Food was tastless, and all the sauces were watered down. I had a discount through Social Deal, so maybe if you order from their normal menu it might be better.

We went there with a social deal coupon and ate indian rijstaffel (5-6 different dishes in small plates) . We were really happy with the food and the service. The only thing we did not like was the desert. I'd be motivated to visit here again.

Good food with good taste. Had 2 and 4 fixed meal deals for 2. Unfortunately only 4 stars for atmosphere as we was the only ones in the restaurant. Only complaint is the owner stands outside the open door smoking.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST!!! I had a terrible experience at this Restaurant in Amsterdam in July 2024. We went there for takeaway food and placed our order, only to be told by the person taking the order to stand outside in the rain instead of sitting at one of the many empty tables. When we asked why, he rudely told us that the tables needed to be kept empty for other customers dining in, despite the restaurant being completely empty. This place is always empty, and I suspect the positive reviews are fake and generated by the owner. The restaurant is not managed by an Indian, yet it markets itself as an authentic Indian restaurant. When we decided to cancel our order due to the poor treatment, the staff member became very rude and raised his voice at us. I do not recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and respectful service. There are much better options out there.

We dined here with family in July 2023 and it was one of the most horrible experiences. Reposting it as my last review seems to have disappeared! I was using some discount coupon and they treated us as if we were eating for free and introduced new rules on the spot! It was a pretty humiliating experience for me as I had arranged the dinner. Service levels take a nosedive the moment you mention you have a discount, saw the shocked faces of some other diners as well. They seemed to be treating the non discount customers differently. It was one of my worst dining experiences, hence I remember very well even though it has been a while. Food was average at best with the paneer tasting stale and slightly tart. Would not recommend at all!

Attention, food and everything more than 10, more than recommended if you really want to try food, the attention on the part of this is unbeatable.

Looks Everything precooked Curry was tasteless. Buttermilk with kasurimethi topped up rather than coriander and jeera. I think supermarkets sells better frozen indian food than this joint. Waiting time is so long.

I think I might have had the worst food here in the world. Slow as slow service. No fan no Aircon. This is not Indian food. I can cook better than this restaurant. NEVER WOULD I GO AGAIN, EVEN IF IT IS THE LAST RESTAURANT ON EARTH.

We had a spontaneous dinner there. There are many dishes to choose from. Even though it was full we didn't have to wait long for our food. Food was very tasty and hot. The staff could be a bit friendlier to make you feel more comfortable.

TLDR: Staff is extremely rude; the owner is very greedy; service was a bit slow (even to order drinks); restaurant seating area was extremely hot with NO air conditioning; and food was okay (as long as you know how to properly eat Indian food). Service was miserably awful, but the food wasn't too bad. If you know how to eat Indian food properly, it is fairly decent (I was also starving at the time, so that may have made the food taste better). On the other hand, the service was horrid: it took about 20 minutes just to order drinks, then 5 minutes to get our drink, and another 25 minutes to get our food. The only two staff members handling customers were very rude. The female staff member asked a vague/general question, and then got a bad attitude with us for not understanding her question, then once we finally answered her vague question the way she wanted, then she slammed the table with her hands a couple times and said "That was 👏 what I 👏 asked you👏". The male staff member, who I believe was the owner, came across as very greedy. €6 for a 250 ml water bottle, no outside drinks allowed, not even water, because in the male staff member's words "Why would you come to a restaurant if not to drink?" The answer to that question is "To eat food, not drink €6 tiny waters." Also, I forgot to mention, the restaurant seating area was very hot, and had NO air conditioning running/on.

Very disappointed. Inspite of taking our order what we wished to have, staff was insisted to opt for the fixed meal. I am sure it was as they already had made the preparation in advance and do not want to take orders from menu to save cost. We were damn hungry & getting late so we accepted the meal option. Food was very average and more over found plastic in the curry. We just paid and left. Highly not recommended. There are lot many other options than this.

Tasty food, we had a jalfrezi and a madras curry and were asked how spicy we wanted them. Also shared a garlic naan. Curries came with rice and lentils. Service was good, staff friendly.

They don't know how to treat their customers, they have almost scolded us because we have a bottle of water with us.they told us not to drink from that bottle, when asked for tap water, they said you have buy it. We bought 1 bottle of water and they charged us €6. After giving menu cards, within 5 mins they came and asked for order. When we asked for 2 more mins to decide, they took most of the menu cards and kept only 1. The food is tasteless.we have ordered chicken dish which tastes like boiled chicken. Irrespective of all these, they are going to each table asking for good reviews in social media. DONT GO THERE!!!!

Ate a vegetarian Thali via social deal. Right in the center of Amsterdam, quite good flavors and good quantity. 1x palak paneer: spinach with cheese, 1 more sweeter / creamier curry and a dish with lentils. I just didn't like the dessert so much, so I left it alone. Would have been 5 stars if the naan was more special, for example garlic or cheese naan.

A great shop for anyone who loves Indian food. You've come to the right place here and you won't be disappointed. The chicken is tender and melts in your mouth. The waitresses are extremely friendly and do a great job. I will gladly come again!

We came to eat here through a deal on social deal. We went into it blank, but were positively surprised. The food was tasty and spread over several bowls. There was also a vegetarian option but we had the chicken and meat option. The dal was super tasty, very tasty. For dessert there was some kind of rice pudding that was also tasty. The restaurant was cozy and they had Beyoncé on, well then you can't go wrong ;). I enjoyed the experience.

Food and server were excellent. Our trip consistented of London and Paris and this was one of the better places we ate during our trip. 10/10 I’m not even vegetarian but got the vegetarian dinner for two since my girlfriend is vegetarian and didn’t regret it at all.

Very friendly service with decent food. The spice level was higher than the average person can tolerate, but still tasty. They did miss an appetizer we ordered, which they apologized for. Overall, I would come back again to try different dishes to see if they truly shine. But like mentioned earlier, the service was super friendly and sweet.

In the heart of Amsterdam a few minutes walk from the central station a small but cozy food haven for those who love Indian cuisine

First time I've eaten in an Indian restaurant and I've have to say that this was one of the most tasty and fantastic dishes I've ever had. Not spicy at all, at least for me.

On the day we went Google maps said it was open but we found it closed with no excuse why 18/09/2023

Wir waren rund um zufrieden. Das Essen 🥘 war sehr lecker und der indischen Küche entsprechend gut gewürzt. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jedes Mal bei einem Besuch in Amsterdam wieder hier hin kommen.
