The host was very generous, he went out of his way to service my friends and I in the evening and gave good food suggestions. Would highly recommend, the food was amazing

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while strolling around Amsterdam. We ate well; the portions were generous and the dishes were flavorful. The service was nothing special. Dusting occasionally would be nice; I ate right next to a dusty fan. Otherwise, it's definitely good value for money. While going to the restroom, I caught a glimpse of the kitchen, and it looked reasonably clean.

Food good, but rude staff, the owner was not able to deal with customers. Furthermore the waiter and the owner were constantly arguing and shouting at each other. They also took a wrong order and said It was our fault.

I went here in 2016. I was very pleased. It's 2025, and I still remember it. I want to go again. November 2025

This is a great restaurant, the prices are very affordable, the owner is super nice and you can always start a chat with him, definitely come eat here!!!!

The food at this restaurant is quite tasty, but unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The service was very poor, our food was delayed for more than half an hour, and the dishes were mixed up with another table. Additionally, the portions were quite small. I would not recommend this place based on the service and experience, despite the good taste of the food.

Reviews don’t do this place justice. My wife and I came in on a whim at the end of our date night. We usually check Google reviews, but choose not to this time. It was quiet, and past closing time but the owner still took our order. We asked each other to guess what rating would be fair and both of us said 4.9. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. Highly recommend the garlic naan.

The food was delicious! Not too spicy and wonderfully flavorful. Highly recommended. We made a reservation through Social Deal and could choose between a vegetarian or meat rijsttafel (rice table). I had the vegetarian rijsttafel, and it was delicious.

The kabab is good here. But the curries dont have any taste and saltless. You won't find any taste of indian spice Kulchas were also not good in taste. Aloo paratha does not have potato stuffs much looks simple paratha.

The service was incredibly bad- the guy who was serving was from delhi and was so rude . If you are looking for authentic Indian - not the best place my entire curry was full of sugar . very bad experience and complete waste of money

A simple tent in a side street of the Warmoesstraat with a suitable 'wrong' name. Fortunately, those were the only 'negative points': warm welcome and excellent Thali (social deal). Both the vegetarian and the meat variant were deliciously fragrant Indian spices (absolutely not hot). As a surprise a kufti with rosewater for dessert😋 and they have lassi! Always nice.

Kamasutra in Amsterdam is a true gem for Indian food lovers. Th ambiance is cozy and inviting, but it's the food and service that truly shin. The staff are warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Every dish is full of rich, authentic flavor, but the butter chicken deserves a special mentioncreamy, perfectly spiced, and absolutely mouthwatering. Paired with their soft naan, it’s highly recommended

As there was a promo on chicken biryani we ordered chicken biryani with Dal Makani, Taste was good also it came with salad and raita! Sufficient quantity for a single person for 12.5 Euros that too in the center of Amsterdam !

We booked a table with a 50% discount through the "TheFork" application. From the very threshold we were not welcome - the staff looked at the reservation for a very long time, “not understanding” either the time or something else. This took two or three minutes. Afterwards, reluctantly, we were shown to a table, and we were not allowed to go to the one we wanted. They brought the menu and said that one part of it was not available through such a reservation. We calmly chose other dishes and drinks for us. The waiters ignored us for a very long time, but the woman rolled her eyes and still came up to take our order. At the same time, we continued to be denied our choice, they say there are no cocktails now, rice is also not available, they even refused a mug of coffee (!). Along the way, the waitress snorted angrily at us, saying that we still couldn’t decide. After they waved at us and said that they would give us another 4 minutes to choose, we simply left and were very happy about it, since we had a wonderful time spending the rest of the evening in an atmospheric pizzeria nearby. In general, both waiters were extremely unhappy with us, they didn’t want to bully us, they sighed through every word, and the only thing they couldn’t do was spit in our food

Waitress was rude, arrogant and ignorant. The owner was equally rude and arrogant. The waitress kept cutting her eyes at us and not making any effort to be friendly at all. The owner also took our order and kept telling us to hurry up. He then made us pay £98.50 when the actual amount was much less, and when we pointed it out he disagreed and we still paid. Then after we took our calculator out and calculated it for him and then he didn’t even apologise and gave us money back. They then brought he food and we checked and they didn’t even give the two curries we ordered, we had to ask them and then they went and made it. Would not recommend. They were not welcoming.

We were in Amsterdam today and found this restaurant by chance. What happiness at the end of the day. Super friendly staff, great ambience and above all delicious food. We had a menu for 2 people and butter chicken for the children. We can only recommend this restaurant😊😋

The first restaurant I've seen that covers tables for one person. The staff is nice and accommodating, although the waitresses are assigned to the tables a bit confusedly (which led to confusion when paying). The food was perfect and was at the table after about 20 minutes.

Dined in and ate the most delicious meal ever. Got vegetable Samoa to start, they were warm and delicious with a nice green sauce and a sweet and sour sauce to pair with it, it was delicious. Then for my entree I got some lentil dish (first one on the vegetarian list) with garlic naan and omg that was EXQUISITE! I can’t even describe how good it was, it was just so incredibly satisfying and flavorful and delightful. Also the staff was very welcoming and kind.

This restaurant is really scam. In the apps they mentioned that they cook the Indonesian food. Even in Uber eat this restaurant have 2 name, restaurant kamasutra and the other one only ”Indonesia" that we are Indonesia we Will get our delicious Indonesian food. But, what I got ??? Disgusting food !!! I was order some food from just eat. -martabak telur ( have pict in the apps ) but I get it just like samosa ( and I don't like it !!! ). -nasi goreng rames, it just nasi goreng with masala not typically Indonesian nasi goreng like showed in the menu. Even the appetizer. Sambal telur is only boiled eggs with topping Indian curry. The same thing happen to the vegetable too. - and the bami...I totally cannot explain that. - I ordered Mineral water 1,5 l they give me 750 ml size. Better to change your restaurant name and menu, don't use Indonesia name if you not really know about Indonesian food. that make us expect more about our Indonesian food. Really this unacceptable !!! Disgusting

My experience has been horrible, Tried biryani here 1. Outside display shows a price once you enter the same item is overpriced. This is completely misleading the customer 2. Biryani simply taste crap, felt like they made it with leftover geera rice. 2. Lady waitress don't know her job A. Don't remember the order. B. Super rude to customers just for asking a bill split. Thought it only happened this time but then in some other precious reviews also I found same feedback about her. Never going back here.

Esperamos 40 minutos para nuestra comida. Mal servicio, muy apresurado. El personal no tenía ni idea de los ingredientes de sus platos y no se molestó en preguntar a la cocina. Si tienes un curry de hongos, ¿tal vez es bueno que sepas qué tipo de hongos se están usando? Mi marido pidió cordero y consiguió pollo. El personal intentó cobrar por el cordero en la factura, que era más caro. Pero rápidamente cambiaron el proyecto de ley cuando lo señalamos. La comida estaba bien, pero no vale la pena el servicio y esperar.

Very good Indian cuisine (not excessively spicy for those who might be afraid), don't be fooled by the name and the decor which leaves something to be desired, the food is top notch!

The food was good and affordable, but the service left a lot to be desired. While we were waiting for our order, I played a video for my friends. Out of nowhere, the waitress rudely and condescendingly asked us, in front of everyone, to stop because "there were other people in the restaurant." The volume wasn’t even loud, and we weren’t disturbing anyone. It’s strange to run a restaurant and expect it to feel like a library.

The food was pretty good. 4 stars.

This restaurant was recommended by our Indian friend, and I have to say it was perfect. The owner is very helpful and kind and the prices are very low in comparison with the quantity and the quality of the food. If you want to try Indian cuisine, this is definitely a great option.

I truly don't know where to begin - I placed an order with Über, saw straight away that Über picked up a wrong location, called 3 (!!) times, apologised, explained, asked if I shpukd cancel, sent new address, restaurant says not to worry. Next thing I know, Über guy calls me and says, it is too far for him to go, nothing he can do. I call restaurant again, the same guy (!!) tells me, if Über does not deliver, it is my problem 😁😂 No wonder they are called Kamasutra, it's truly what they do best
