Owner is racist and disrespectful. Basically hates indians Also doesn't like families / people who doesn't order alcohol. Charges 7 euros for a 750 ml water bottle and says tap water isn't available. I would avoid this place at all costssss

The food here is really delicious; you can get very tasty Indian food here for a good price. The staff was also very friendly. Only the ambiance is okay. But anyway, that's not the most important thing. The food was delicious!

The owner of this cozy restaurant was attentive to our needs from the moment we walked in. He was incredibly kind and even offered to take our picture. As for the food, it was truly exquisite, and everything came out freshly prepared and ready at the same time. There was no waiting, and everything was delicious. My compliments to the chefs. The atmosphere was very welcoming, with pleasant background music and not too crowded, making it easy to have a conversation. Without a doubt, if I return to Amsterdam, I will come back for more.

Very tasty Indian food via Social Deal. They have a high chair and the atmosphere inside is great. The curries were very well prepared and the rice was flavorful, just as you would hope for with Indian food.

One of the worst indian food I ever had in Europe. I wont suggest this place to anyone. I had better indian foods on other places in Amsterdam. It was bad choice to try out this place while I was rushing to my room. Food not even worthy for the price provided.

We made a reservation through The Fork. Even though we had a confirmation for that day, they wouldn't let us in. The employee insisted on seeing the confirmation—I can understand that. But then to say we should have booked a day in advance for it to be valid, even though our reservation for that day had been confirmed, is, in my opinion, absurd. Very unfriendly…. If you don’t honor offers made through websites like this, then don’t make them….

They were so disgusting, he sprayed glass cleaner on the dishes, wiped them with a cloth he'd dropped off at the cashier, and then gave them to people to eat. The whole area is filthy, full of shops unsuitable for families. **Be careful, he sprays the glass cleaner on the dishes before serving them to the customer.

Avoid this place! We booked a 50% off table through The Fork, and it was an awful experience. They refused to give us the discount, coming up with various excuses why it wasn’t valid. We believe they cancelled the booking once we arrived, so that it was no longer valid. After hearing all the different excuses, we still refused to pay full price, and the server offered us 30% off the bill. I understand it’s probably a struggling business, but this is not the way to fix it. Water is also €7 per bottle and they refuse to serve tap water. We felt scammed.

Had a delicious curry. The staff is friendly and helpful regarding meal options. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic restaurant!

We enjoyed an excellent meal served quickly! We particularly appreciated the lamb korma and the saag paneer, which were served in generous portions with rice and our naan bread. We were especially pleasantly surprised by the homemade desserts: the kulfi (the best I've ever tasted) and the kheer 🥰 The servers were also very friendly.

Loads of options. Full of locals. Really tasty Dahl. Will return to dine out vegetarian for two. 7e for water!

The experience was excellent. It's difficult to eat well in such a touristy place, but we had a fantastic meal here. If you like Indian food, this is the place for you because it has a wide variety of dishes that you won't find just anywhere. The prices are reasonable, and the service is attentive and fast. The food wasn't very spicy (we ordered medium, and it was only slightly spicy, while another dish was mild), but it was delicious.

We tried rice table. It was fixed menu and one of the sauces was extremely hot, not possible to eat for me. They should have asked to the costumers before adding such a hot dish to the menu.

DON’T ORDER POPADOMS Our party of 6 ordered 5 separate dishes, and to be honest, they all tasted the same. Also, the popadoms are a rip-off. They only do mango and mint sauce (no onion or lime pickle accompaniments) and our few popadoms (and fewer sauces) came to £30 on their own! Asking for more sauces was met with a dismissive brush-off. Nice 👍🏻 Wouldn’t go back, and can’t recommend either!

Spaniards: don't come. We booked through The Fork. Obviously, drinks aren't included in the discount, nor are the set menu offers. For some reason, the waiter made up an absurd rule (which isn't written anywhere) that everyone had to order a main course for the discount to apply. With drinks already on the table, we weren't going to do anything else. Then, he charged me whatever he felt like for the main course. I don't mind paying more or less, but I won't be treated like an idiot, as they did. I won't be going back, but I hope you don't have the same experience. The €15 portions are very small. If you order the mixed platter, you get more. It's not bad, and it's not too spicy. The meat was overcooked.

We found this restaurant through Social Deals. We had a great meal for €14.50 per person. We were all quite full. Drinks were a bit more expensive than average, but of course, they have to make some money with these deals 🙂 All in all, it was excellent!

Slightly wedged between rather flashy tourist shops, this charming, cozy, and not-too-large restaurant is located in Amsterdam's "warm neighborhood." But that doesn't detract from the quality of the food at all. Friendly, cheerful, and attentive service provided a very WARM welcome. Relaxed atmosphere and background music. A good meal doesn't necessarily have to be in a 5-star restaurant. Not haute cuisine, but all dishes are honest, genuine, plentiful, and delicious. And all for a reasonable price. Definitely worth a visit during a warm visit to Amsterdam. We'll definitely be back.

I had a pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my partner last year and we really enjoyed our time there. The food portion and taste was generous and value for money. It's a cozy restaurant with a friendly owner and waiter. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this restaurant during your trip if you are craving for a nice Indian meal.

The food was neither bad nor good, it was normal, the service was helpful and attentive, but I really didn't like that they served one bowl of rice for the two dishes we ordered. It was very rude, we didn't know whether to eat or wait for the second bowl. In the end, the food got cold because we didn't know what to do. It's very rude that two people are forced to eat rice from one bowl. After a while, we ordered a bowl of rice for the second person, but wouldn't it have been better to say right away that we would be served one bowl of rice when placing the order?

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while strolling around Amsterdam. We ate well; the portions were generous and the dishes were flavorful. The service was nothing special. Dusting occasionally would be nice; I ate right next to a dusty fan. Otherwise, it's definitely good value for money. While going to the restroom, I caught a glimpse of the kitchen, and it looked reasonably clean.

Food good, but rude staff, the owner was not able to deal with customers. Furthermore the waiter and the owner were constantly arguing and shouting at each other. They also took a wrong order and said It was our fault.

I went here in 2016. I was very pleased. It's 2025, and I still remember it. I want to go again. November 2025

Reviews don’t do this place justice. My wife and I came in on a whim at the end of our date night. We usually check Google reviews, but choose not to this time. It was quiet, and past closing time but the owner still took our order. We asked each other to guess what rating would be fair and both of us said 4.9. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. Highly recommend the garlic naan.

The kabab is good here. But the curries dont have any taste and saltless. You won't find any taste of indian spice Kulchas were also not good in taste. Aloo paratha does not have potato stuffs much looks simple paratha.

The chicken biryani was delicious, the staff were nice and friendly, the decor was lovely, and the location is conveniently close to the city center.

A simple tent in a side street of the Warmoesstraat with a suitable 'wrong' name. Fortunately, those were the only 'negative points': warm welcome and excellent Thali (social deal). Both the vegetarian and the meat variant were deliciously fragrant Indian spices (absolutely not hot). As a surprise a kufti with rosewater for dessert😋 and they have lassi! Always nice.
