A little gem in the woods I’d rather not write a review. I prefer to keep little gems to myself. But then again, that wouldn't be fair. Look, the food is simply very good, very tasty, and more than enough. Whether you go for a pancake (nowhere as good as in Klein Zwitserland) or, for example, the Farm Chicken, the Smashburger, or a fantastic salad. It is all more than fine. But. And this really deserves to be in the newspaper: super attentive, cheerful, and very nice people who welcome you here. I actually don't think 'staff' or 'service' is a nice word. Maybe 'hosts and hostesses' covers it better. Just come and experience it (and no, I don't have any shares – I just love coming here). So, a big thumbs up for Klein Zwitserland

Upon entering, we were immediately surprised by a very warm welcome, making us feel welcome right away. Our little dog was also very welcome. Afterwards, we had a truly delicious lunch here. The menu is full of beautiful, surprising dishes, and choosing was actually quite difficult. What eventually appeared on the table tasted exquisite as well. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxed lunch with genuine hospitality!

Where do you still find a restaurant where you can not only eat well but where the atmosphere is as good as at this restaurant, where the staff is without exception friendly, where you can still just eat a pancake, where there is a very cozy terrace, where modifying a dish is no problem at all, where it is pleasant for children but where parents (the elderly) are not forgotten either? Unfortunately, they are rare.

Had a delicious meal and super child-friendly! The food was fine, just tasty. Beautiful playground outside, playhouse inside, kids' menu, and the option to buy individual ice creams. And we even got to choose a gift at the end. A waitress really paid attention to my youngest son when he hurt himself in the playground. And the oldest got a mayonnaise bucket to collect acorns. If it were closer to our house, we would definitely come much more often! Highly recommended!

After a walk through the beautiful nature reserves of Bornia and Heidestein, we had a delicious lunch at Klein Zwitserland. A nice restaurant on the outskirts of Driebergen. A lovely spot to sit outside on the terrace. Friendly staff. Due to the busyness, it was difficult to get their attention when we wanted to order another drink. We ate delicious flammkuchen with goat cheese; highly recommended!

We had dinner today with children and grandchildren for Grandma's birthday. And the service was so great! There was time for a joke with the children, nice conversations, and they got the whole restaurant singing along for the birthday celebrants (several of whom were present in the restaurant). The timing was perfect despite the busyness, and the food was delicious.

A very nice restaurant to go to with children. The service is very friendly and child-oriented. The terrace is very inviting for a drink or a meal, and there is also a cozy atmosphere inside. We sat in a corner with two sofas, which is very nice with children. The food tasted great, the menu offered sufficient variety, and there was plenty of choice for children as well.

Writing this review while I'm still enjoying a nice Texel Skuumkoppe. Service excellent; the waitress understood that we were going to share a salad as well as a double croquette menu. Skip the bread rolls and have fries instead? No problem. And then the two separate menus served unasked. If you serve the menus neatly separated, you'd keep your ears open. Fresh, good, and friendly. Definitely recommended 👍🏼 we will 100% be back. Didn't take a photo of the menu because it looked too good to wait any longer...

It is a very cozy restaurant. Unfortunately, it was very busy during our visit, with children running around and screaming. The food was tasty, but my husband had a schnitzel that was very thin. The price for a 0.0 beer is on the pricey side.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hospitality as it should be! What an incredibly fun experience at Klein Zwitserland! We didn't arrive until around ten past eight in the evening, even though the kitchen actually closes at 8:00 PM. So we actually expected to be late. But nothing could be further from the truth. The waiter immediately went to the kitchen, came back, and said: “Please take a seat; we still have a choice of various dishes. I’ll be with you shortly.” Now that makes you feel welcome right away! After ordering, a really nice and pleasant conversation ensued with the staff. There was no feeling that we were the last guests or that they actually wanted to go home — quite the opposite. The food arrived quickly and was truly incredibly delicious. And the children were thought of too. At the end, they were allowed to choose a dessert and opted for a disco ice cream, which was, of course, a huge hit. 😄 But it didn't stop there. After we had paid the bill, the children were allowed to pick something out of the toy basket as well. Of course, you didn't have to tell them twice! What really stuck with me was the genuine hospitality. The nice conversations, the humor, the attention given to the children, and the feeling that you are welcome, even when you actually arrive just after the kitchen closes. They truly understand what hospitality means here. Good food is important, but ultimately, it is the people who make the difference. And at Klein Zwitserland, they have fully grasped that. We went home with full bellies and a big smile. Highly recommended, and we would love to come back! ❤️

We are away for the weekend in the area and drove past here; it looked super cozy! We wanted to make a reservation that evening and there was only one spot left. That usually says enough! It was so nice; we were welcomed warmly and served well, and the food was delicious!

This restaurant is very good for adults and children. The menu is extensive, with good cuisine. The service is good. The location is beautiful. Also dog-friendly.

A really nice place for kids. There is a play area both indoors and outdoors. The kids had a fantastic time. The salmon was very tasty for dinner. For lunch, we had the chef's flamkuchen, which was also good, but there wasn't much salmon on it. The base and the pickled onion were delicious.

A very cozy restaurant. Both the outdoor terrace (a real winner) and the interior are atmospheric. The food is tasty and plentiful; it can be a bit noisy inside, but that is when it is pleasantly busy. The real crowd-pleaser is Roemer. Attentive, friendly, keeps a close eye on everything, and even provides entertainment. So, we will conclude with the words of Adele: ‘Roemer has it’.

We had an incredibly fun afternoon for our family on the occasion of a 40th wedding anniversary with 4 children and partners and 8 grandchildren. A nice, well-organized playground, a picnic table for all of us (plus the dog), and – perhaps most importantly – excellent service with attention to the elderly, the children, and the dog. In the evening, we received a call because we had left a football behind. All in all, a fantastic experience.

We regularly go here for lunch when we are in the area (we live in the The Hague region). Nice staff, and of course, the Swiss feel.

What a fantastic find! After a lovely walk in the woods with our two children, we settled down at this restaurant. Behind the building is a great playground where the kids entertained themselves for hours, and there is also a nice play corner inside. Although it wasn't even 4 o'clock yet, we were fortunately already able to order from the dinner menu—ideal, because we were really hungry! The food was truly delicious and the portions were generous. Add to that the incredibly friendly and helpful service, and you have a winner. Haven't discovered such a nice place in ages. If we are in the area again, we will definitely be back!

Been there several times, the food is always good. Unfortunately, this time they forgot to serve 1 of the 9 ordered dishes, so someone had to wait a moment. There is enough staff available for the kids to entertain themselves.

Tonight, we were served by Cas again. What an asset to the restaurant! He is incredibly enthusiastic, friendly, spontaneous, and genuinely attentive to his guests. You can tell he enjoys his work, and that is contagious. He ensures you feel truly welcome and makes your evening just that little bit more enjoyable. Actually, you would want to be served by someone like Cas in every restaurant. Employees like him really make the difference. Compliments to him and to Klein Zwitserland for having such a star on the team!

It's a shame that more stars can't be added for the service, because it was top-notch. We were dining at this lovely restaurant today with our 3 children (2, 5, and 7) as tourists, but the service was absolutely fantastic. We all enjoyed the delicious pancakes, but the children's eyes were bigger than their stomachs, and they were allowed to take those home too, including a little something they could choose at the entrance. The containers for the children's desserts were even cleaned so we could take them home – great. The little extra you don't expect, so to speak. All in all, very satisfied.

We had a tasty and quick meal; the cheese fondue was delicious too. The staff were enthusiastic, cheerful, and driven. That is exactly what you want in the hospitality industry. We went back specifically the next day for drinks in the late afternoon, and everything was so well organized again. And extra compliments to Cas!

Given the reviews, it should have been fine. We were quite disappointed. We both had a Gypsy schnitzel. However, the amount of sauce was just a tablespoonful. When I asked if that was all, we were given an extra tiny container. There was nothing more; it was all gone! The fries we got with it were undercooked, limp, and almost cold. When we pointed this out, we received new ones, which were nice and hot. We were really looking forward to going out for dinner; for us, it was a disappointment that cost us our hard-earned money on top of that. Will we be back? What do you think?

I expected a bit more from the food for the average price you pay for lunch. The staff were friendly and also helpful regarding the small children. I think the owner behind the bar was a bit grumpy and not very friendly. For a large group or just a cup of coffee, it's a good place to go.

I was here last summer. The terrace is very nice and cozy. Inside, it is too busy and crowded (very noisy). We also had to wait a very long time for our order; after forty-five minutes we still couldn't order dessert, so we just went home...

We had a nice meal, but the timing left something to be desired. The main course arrived in two parts with 10 minutes in between, and we had to order dessert afterwards. Two dishes were simply forgotten, and that with only six people! 🍽️🤔 Unfortunately, no apology or reduction, hence this review. The food was actually really good!

Nice place, great surroundings, and the food is fantastic.

Kudos to the serving staff. Despite the heat today, they were incredibly hospitable. Helpful at the right moments, and they often managed to surprise us with little things, like candies in the treasure chest ice cream. My son even said that he could tell by looking at them that it was fun to work there.

We absolutely loved this place. I found it by chance while driving in Zeist and it was a wonderful find! the place itself is so beautiful with a stunning view and gorgeous surroundings. The service is very friendly, accommodating and very welcoming! The food also is tasty, is presented very nicely and big portions. I went there for two days in a row because I enjoyed it so much.

After a visit to the zoo in Amersfoort, we ended up at Klein Zwitserland after a bit of searching. We run a similar location ourselves, as well as various other hospitality businesses, completely out of the neighborhood, so we are always excited when we think we have found a gem. Additionally, a good friend of ours runs a restaurant with the same name, so the choice was quickly made. The drive to Klein Zwitserland was breathtakingly beautiful, and the location is truly top-notch. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The fact that the children, aged 3 and 5, could still enjoy playing after a whole day at the zoo was, of course, a huge plus. We enjoyed delicious cold beers, with starters to share beforehand, and the main courses were fine too. No fuss, just good value for money. The price-quality ratio is excellent, and we had a wonderful time. What struck us most was the incredibly friendly and attentive service; there was plenty of time for a chat and they were super sweet to the kids; they even received a small gift! We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

We went to this restaurant based on the good reviews, but we absolutely cannot understand the positive feedback. We ordered a schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce, fries, and a tiny salad, and tagliatelle with spinach, salmon, and supposedly pesto. The schnitzel was very dry on the outside, as if it had been cooked in an air fryer. The salad was minuscule, and only the fries were okay. However, no sauces like mayo or ketchup were offered, and we weren't even asked if we wanted them. We could make better tagliatelle at home. The salmon tasted of nothing, the pesto was barely noticeable, and it contained onions, which definitely shouldn't be there. Furthermore, the service was quite unmotivated. In conclusion: You can't rely on reviews (they aren't verified by Google anyway), and we will not be visiting this restaurant again!

Had lunch here with a friend (and dog). We felt welcome; we were a bit early and the only guests, which made the atmosphere a little less atmospheric. The falafel tasted good, we enjoyed it. Highly recommended. Next time we'll bring the kids. A huge play area awaits them.

Meh. Secretly, I wish it were tastier/bigger with a good portion of vanilla sauce. But then again, we aren't *really* in Switzerland, of course...
