Pretty okay, the food is fresh but not very special. Mainly a place for a quick bite.

It is not a 5-star restaurant. It is more of a casual eatery. In that case, I find the prices excessively high.

I just ate here. To my surprise, I saw a dog inside. I find this unhygienic. Never again for me.

Instead of rice, we wanted fries, but the lady working there was not friendly. I didn't get any fries next to my grill. Never again; the lady is unfriendly.

The food was good. Worth a second visit.

The lady working there looks angry; the food was cold, the meat was not cooked, the lettuce was not fresh. Never again for us, the soup was not hot, the fries came cold. Shame.

Almost every time I've ordered the food has been delicious, but today they gave me burnt meat.

The food was terrible and absolutely not worth the price. The restaurant was almost completely empty, yet the staff told us that everything was reserved. That came across as very strange and unprofessional. Additionally, the staff looked very grumpy and were not friendly or hospitable at all. Because of this, we did not feel welcome. All in all, a very disappointing experience and no reason for us to return.

Very bad experience and I will never come back here. This was my second time at this restaurant. The restaurant was not full at all and there were plenty of tables inside, but the employee said there was no room inside and that we could only sit outside on the terrace. I believed him and went to sit outside with my daughter, even though it was very cold. As a result, we couldn't even eat in peace. Later, I wanted to go somewhere else to have tea to warm up. When I went to the restroom, which was upstairs, I discovered to my surprise that there were actually many empty tables inside. Apparently, they wanted to make us sit outside on purpose so it would look like the restaurant was so busy that guests had to sit outside. I find that really unfair and misleading. When I mentioned it, another employee came over who wanted to offer me free tea or a dessert, but I refused. He also kept making excuses about a reservation for 40 people, even though most tables upstairs and downstairs were empty. In addition, the food was unfortunately very bad and absolutely not worth the money. A very disappointing experience.

The food here is always delicious. We always order the special grill mix! Oh, what an experience it is to share that with others. They also have delicious eggplant salad. And to finish, I have kazandibi for dessert, and take some home right away too. This really can't be missed! It is delicious! The service is good, depending on how busy it is. When it's busy, you wait a little longer, but I'm happy to put up with that because the food is delectable.

You wait 2 hours for cold, soggy, and limp food. On top of that, the owner is very unfriendly, suggesting you order somewhere else rather than trying to find a solution. Fortunately, I got my money back through Thuisbezorgd itself. I have been a loyal customer here for years, but that is definitely coming to an end now. There are plenty of better eateries with good service to be found in Amsterdam.

They're not good, around €16 for a shawarma sandwich, €14 for a doner. Never ever again.

Delicious shawarma sandwich, well-seasoned and fresh

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Restaurant Konak. I had to wait more than an hour and a half for my order. When I called to ask where my food was, I received an uninterested response. I was told it was busy and received a half-hearted, insincere apology. My complaint did not seem to be taken seriously at all. When the food finally arrived, it was completely cold and simply inedible. This is absolutely not what you expect when ordering food. For me, this was the first and also the last time I will order here. Poor service and poor quality.

Decent, but not worth the money. (To be fair, it was a delivery)

Food was ok, stuff friendly but the price is hefty. I payed 50 euro for 2 simple daily meals. 4 tiny baklavas and a milk pudding and 2 small turkish teas. We asked for rice as a side dish, and they charged us 6 euro per portion.

The hostess didn't even respond and simply continued with her work while we stood there waiting. This felt incredibly awkward and, above all, very unprofessional. When our food was ready, it was delivered without a word. No "please," no "have a nice evening," nothing at all. This kind of behavior towards customers is truly unacceptable to me. A simple greeting or a bit of friendliness is effortless. What made it even worse was that I believe the owner was also there and apparently considered this behavior completely normal, because he displayed exactly the same behavior. Honestly, I've rarely experienced such unfriendly and disrespectful service. I'll definitely not be returning. The lady at the cash register was grumpy and not friendly to us, never again

Completely disrespectful!! I called three times and no one answered. The fourth time, they even pulled the phone cord. Even though it was iftar, the order took two hours to arrive. When it finally arrived, everything was completely cold, and all the bread had gone soft and mushy. I understand it can be busy, but pulling the phone out instead of answering and saying "you're busy" is truly disrespectful. This was my last order. It's a real shame!!

I ordered food and paid online, but never received it. I waited for two hours and called several times, but no answer. No more Konak for me. Edit: You can say you didn't receive my order, but the money was debited, and you didn't respond to my email.

There were 6 of us there and we were not helped kindly by the lady behind the counter. She looked very angry and not customer friendly. We did not feel welcome. The grill was cold and tasteless. You could be a bit friendlier and make it difficult to bring tea. We asked three times. In the end, we left before our next visit.

Overall, the cleanliness and atmosphere are very good. However, the fact that the food at such a nice establishment is average or even below average is probably due to the excessive variety.

Konak restaurant is highly recommended. The Turkish dishes are always delicious, freshly prepared, and arrive nice and hot, even when delivered to Amsterdam Zuidoost. You can really taste the love and care put into the cooking. The bread is nice and warm and soft, just as it should be, and the fries stay crispy, which is not always a given with delivery. The service is also excellent: friendly, fast, and reliable. Ordering from Konak feels like a familiar experience because the quality is consistently consistent. This is the kind of place that makes you happy and where you'll want to return.

Just when you're sitting comfortably, you're told they don't have pizza, they don't have pide, they don't have coffee

I think the food could have been cooked better; it wasn't what I expected. You should enjoy and savor your food when you dine out. This wasn't the case. At the table, I only complained about the main course.

Unfortunately, my visit today was disappointing. The food was cold, and the rice was hard and unappetizing. I usually have good experiences, but the last two times the food was terrible and not warm at all. All food has become expensive now, which is understandable. It's a shame the quality has declined. I hope things improve. The service is excellent and fast. It wasn't busy. Two tables were full when we left.

We had a delicious mixed grill; it came with rice, fries, and salad. The food was truly fantastic! Unfortunately, the atmosphere was a bit disappointing, and the service could have been better. The employee seemed a bit grumpy, but maybe he was having a bad day :/

Ordered food, came almost a hour later than scheduled and was cold when it arrived. Was so cold and sweaty from being kept inside the container so long it was inedible. Couldn't eat it and had to get something else to eat. Absolutely useless

Hi, I regularly go to Konak restaurant, but unfortunately, the menu (the food) there has shrunk considerably in recent months. The portions have become very small. For example, the last time my family and I ordered a mixed meat and an Adana wrap, the Adana wrap was very thin and short, and the Adana ṣiṣ (the meat) in the wrap was also very thin!!! There was a lot of salad in the wrap; you could only taste the salad while eating. Unfortunately, there was also very little meat. But they keep raising the prices!! In short, you don't get your money's worth!!! I'm a regular there, and my friends are complaining about the same problems. I hope you take this seriously.

Yesterday I got a durum wrap, but it was very disappointing. There was almost no durum in it, only vegetables and a lot of lettuce. I definitely wouldn't recommend it!

I recently ate there and the chicken wings looked like they'd been cut off. They were very dry and very thin, almost no meat at all. I've never experienced this before because I'm a regular customer.

We had paca soup, alinazik, and wings, all of which were delicious. I especially recommend the soup.

I don't think there is such bad service anywhere else, the food is very bad, zero service, and it's very expensive. It's a UNNECESSARY place to eat, not even one star can be given to this place.

The food was just cold after waiting almost 1:30! The quality and service have deteriorated with each order. Such a shame!

Just ordered dinner for €70!! It was delivered quickly and still warm. But then again, the salad was old and discolored, and why no green pepper on the meal like everywhere else? And why the 0.50 cent surcharge per portion and no cutlery? I didn't have to ask for it; it should be included as standard.

Konak used to be one of the few places in Slotermeer where you could still eat affordably, but now the prices have gone up significantly while the quality has actually declined. We got a wrap with burnt chicken, a tough mixed meat, and three small shawarma sandwiches that cost €10.50 each, but were literally gone in one bite. No more Konak for me.

This felt not only unprofessional, but also disrespectful. We ended up leaving without ordering anything and won't be coming back here again!

Delicious. Good quality ingredients. Pizza, Pide and Sandwiches freshly made by the baker in the kitchen. Delicious sauces, and the best shawarma. Konak remains super tasty, and the price-quality ratio is great!

Very nice and fast service, even though we were late, we were able to have our iftar on time. The cubed pita with kashar cheese was very delicious 🤌🏼 I definitely recommend it.

What a terribly unpleasant place to come. I'm not someone who writes a lot of reviews. But if I do one, it really needs to be said. Host is very rude and unfriendly. The whole atmosphere there is completely wrong. As a restaurant owner, it would not matter what day it is, but would always provide good service to customers. When I made my reservation by phone, I got a lady on the phone who had no motivation or interest in customers at all. Then we get there. Very many employees, and few customers maybe 2 in total. Customers are spoken about in Turkish, and in front of the customer. In short, we never saw us there again.

I've eaten here a few times. Very tasty and friendly service. Their complimentary bread and garlic sauce is what keeps us coming back for. Toppers!

Very disappointing experience. I am very dissatisfied with the service at Konak Restaurant. Every time I was there it took way too long for my order to be brought. It often happened that I did not receive my order at once and always had to wait. What struck me most, however, is that not everyone was treated equally. If you speak Turkish, you will be helped much faster and you will feel like you are more welcome than other guests. This creates a very uncomfortable atmosphere. All in all I felt poorly treated and I won't be coming back here anytime soon. Certainly not a place where I feel valued as a customer. This review clearly states what you experienced, without being too aggressive, but making your point about unequal treatment and poor service.

I can't determine the atmosphere because I ordered it home, but oh how quickly it arrived. My order was delivered by someone from the restaurant within 20 minutes. The food was still nice and warm, salad was fresh and rice was not sticky. Fries were nice and hot and perfectly crispy. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. They were certainly not stingy with the sauces, I received 2 containers of sambal and 4 containers of garlic to go with the bread. All in all, a good place to quickly order something to eat on a Friday evening. Price-quality ratio is top.

meat dishes were not fresh, very chewwy, french fries for flacid. and there's no wine, or other alcoholic beverages that go with meat dishes. rather i will go to italian or greek restaurant next time.

We will never eat here again. Ordered 4 plates of shawarma with rice and shawarma with fries. You pay 20 euros per plate. Without bread! You get a quarter wrap slice on your dish. No bread? The place is easy to reach and its location is nice, although parking is a problem, you may be able to find a place. As for the food, we ordered Konak Special and cubed pita and pizza. Especially the plate, which was their special and had all the meat in the restaurant, was a complete disappointment. It was a dry rice pilaf laid on a board, with meatballs, Adana cutlets and shish chicken on it, but none of them were delicious. SERVICE came quite late.

Unfortunately, it was one of the worst and tasteless grilled dishes I have ever eaten. The sauce and visual appearance were very sloppy and insufficient. Even at home, a more careful sumum is made. The rice was scattered under the grill and it was dry. At least the peppers and tomatoes should have been roasted next to the grills and a careful presentation should have been made. There was no room next to the grill, only potatoes. and there was Adana. Also, the outside of some of the grills were burnt and the inside was not fully cooked. It is not a place I would choose again 😕

Been here for lunch. Wasn't very busy. Was helped quickly and nicely. Had a doner and adana kebab dish. Mix fries and rice. I actually didn't want salad, but I got it anyway. Served separately in a large salad bowl and was a lot. Basket of bread had 2 scoops. Large plate with half rice, quarter fries, lots of doner and adana. Was quite full of it. Fries were nice and crispy. Rice tasted a little less than I am normally used to from them, tasted like it was a day old. Adana was well seasoned. Doner was slightly less full of flavor and was also a bit bland/salty. 3 stars for the effort! Tip: try to deliver 100% quality and service every day. The service was good, but maybe that was because it wasn't busy?

Hele slechte behandeling, omdat je niet Turks bent bedienen ze je niet goed. Er gelden andere regels voor de Turkse mensen die daar komen eten dan niet Turkse mensen. Het eten was ook niet lekker. Pizza was van de Dirk van de broek. Geen vriendelijke mensen en zeer slechte bediening.
