We had the buffet today, and we're very disappointed. As vegetarians, there were no warm options available at all. Even the noodles had chicken in them. The dessert were gone and not replenished before we could have some. When we mentioned we did get some extra baklava which was nice, but still, we basically we paid 22,50 for some salads.

Very friendly staff. Generous and polite. Nice family atmosphere and highly recommended for those who want Turkish food for a reasonable price.

It is one of the rare places in Amsterdam where you can have a delicious Sunday breakfast with your family.

I came to pick up a shawarma sandwich, and a fries without €18 sandwich on the menu was 9.95 and when I said this to the gentleman he told me that it costs €4 to eat here. The sandwich was very thinly filled and the fries were cold. When I said this, he became very angry. You should not come here!!!!!!

The food was delicious, good quality shawarma! Attention for guests: The staff talks about you and in this case the short 'nice' owner even with unknown men.

Ik had een hele nare ervaring en zelfs kwetsend. De eigenaar, de korte mollige kale man met een baard roddelt over klanten met vieze ouwde vrienden van 65+. Hij zit met de heren aan tafel (niet te werken) hij werkt vaak minimaal laat zn personeel altijd alles doen. Hij vertelt hele verhalen aan onbekende mannen en vervolgens wordt je de hele tijd scheef aangekeken en nog eens uitgedaagd als ze weggaan. Roddelen doet hij vaker. Terbiyesiz!

I have been coming to Mesken for years, because of its central location and friendly staff. The owner always welcomes you with a smile and the staff does their best to help you as best as possible. On the other hand, I am no longer happy with the food. It is noticeable that the quality of the food has deteriorated sharply: it is no longer what it was and in my experience has even deteriorated. The food is simply no longer tasty and not that special. Too bad.

Good restaurant but price level quite poorly explained

I have rented the room a few times and eaten there regularly. All you can eat is delicious, fresh and diverse. And the price is very reasonable. Friendly owner. And beautiful restaurant. Really recommended!!! Keep it up.

We had reserved a room for 20 people. The communication in advance was very clear and flexible. We were allowed to bring our own cake and decorations to decorate the room. The food was served faster than expected! At most restaurants you have to wait much longer for an order for 20 people. We also all got our food at the same time. The food was delicious! Friendly staff who also think along with you.

Had an adana kebab sandwich which was very tasty. Only the price was a bit high for half a sandwich.

Showarma was unrecognizably small cut meat, way too salty, the fat dripped onto my plate, I've been coming here for years, but this was the last time, 28 euros for a dish that was not tasty..

Great food, good service and prices

I have known Mesken from the beginning but I will never go there again. It is far from what it was, expensive, unfriendly and small portions and not even tasty. I think it's very unfortunate.

We ordered Adana kebab and they brought fat bread instead of lavash or pita. The kebab wasn't very tasty either.

I want to say a lot, but I'm going to keep it short and sweet. Don't even walk on the street here. And certainly don't have anything delivered. Distance.!

Instead of We chose to eat it in the restaurant. 2 shawarma sandwiches (have become smaller with 6 on your plate because that's what they serve nowadays, 6 fries and a tablespoon of lettuce, so no shawarma dishes and a soup, I had to pay 37 euros. 2 shawarma 27 and 2 coke 5.80 euros and the rest for the soup What are we talking about 13.50 for a medium shawarma because it is not that big. This way you are cheated to your face with those extortionate prices. Owner looked sturdy, sat at a table and thinks there are some crazy people who pay these extortionate prices... how do I become rich while sleeping?

We came from Germany looking for a Turkish restaurant. In my opinion the best restaurant you can find in Amsterdam. Great restaurant, delicious food. Open buffet on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6 p.m., highly recommended.

Food Service is great, but the information on the website is not correct in terms of opening hours. I have often relied on opening hours on the website, and have already gone twice for breakfast when I arrive and there is no breakfast, they are still cleaning. Very unfortunate, but mesking is off my list!

Terrible place! You enter and you are immediately surprised with a completely different price. Open buffet was disappointing. It was said that there are about 25 dishes, however there are 10 dishes incl. salads. So it really wasn't worth 35 euros. Was the first time and never again!

Verschrikkelijk plek! Je komt daarin en je wordt meteen verrast met een heel ander prijs. Open buffet viel tegen. Er werd gezegd dat er ongeveer 25 gerechten zijn, echter zijn er 10 gerechten incl. Salades. Dus was echt geen 35 euro waard. Was eerste keer en nooit meer!

Ate here with friends. The food was tasty, the service good and friendly. A successful evening for us and one we will certainly repeat.

I tried the buffet on weekend with friends. The food wasn't tasty and had limited options. Taste wasn't great. It wasn't worth the money we paid per head.

For me one of the best, if not the best Turkish restaurants in Amsterdam. Been coming there for years, highly recommended.

Yesterday I ordered 3 large shawarma sandwiches and 1 chicken fillet sandwich to take with me! The menu says 13.50 including fries. I wanted to pick up, is it suddenly more expensive than the menu? 14.50 Normally pick up is the cheapest.. very vague and strange. Sandwiches have also become much more expensive, the large sandwich is now the small sandwich of the past! That sandwich was 5 or 6 euros and now it costs 10 euros! For a large sandwich you get 1 cup of garlic sauce that contains less than a small layer. Seemed like a used container so little I wanted lettuce separately because otherwise it would get soggy on the way, I had to pay 1.50 extra for the bowl... how dare you! As if it wasn't expensive enough already I think it's a money grab and rip-off Mesken has deteriorated and will never order from here again.

Den tyrkiske Restaurant Mesken bidrager stort til en fornem madoplevelse. Min veninde og jeg snublede over stedet i Amsterdam, og det var med stort held! Her er personalet så hjælpsomt, varmt, og gavmildt, og store portioner er der mange af. Maden var udsøgt. Jeg fik en kyllingewrap, som jeg ikke engang kunne spise op - hvilket ærgede mig, da det smagte rigtig lækkert. Her er der i hvert fald garanti for at blive dejligt mæt. Indretningen er også virkelig flot, og man lægger helt sikkert mærke til den. Her var rigtig afslappende. Det eneste utilfredsstillende, var sofabænken som jeg sank en lille smule for meget ned i. Udover vil jeg klart anbefale Restaurant Mesken for en bid traditionel tyrkisk (eller ikke) god mad!

Het eten is oké. Niet heel bijzonder, maar wel lekker op zich. Op de baklava na, die was heerlijk. Een groep kunnen ze niet aan qua personeel. Drankjes gingen alle kanten op, kwamen daarna dubbel. 2 gasten hadden geen eten en dat kwam pas toen de rest bijna was uitgegeten. Vriendelijk personeel maar wellicht te druk of onderbezet. Geen aanrader wat mij betreft.

Mesken is een restaurant waar ik graag met mijn vrienden kom. Het heeft een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en gezellige medewerkers. Het ontbijtbuffet is vers en redelijk gevarieerd. We misten wel de sucuk met ei. Restaurant Mesken is een aanrader.

Wonderful Turkish restaurant with a Turkish atmosphere. Staff was kind, and speaks English. I tasted the open buffet, which was tasty. Their French fries or chips were perfectly crispy and not hard at all. One of the best fries I have ever ate. Would gladly come back.

We hebben lastminute geboekt voor een grote groep en hebben gebruik gemaakt van het all-in buffet. Het aanbod was zeer divers en het eten smaakte goed. De service was top en de sfeer gezellig. Feestje? Maak het jezelf makkelijk en boek bij Mesken.

De lekkerste turkse restaurant. Ook in vergelijking met de twee meest bekende rest in Amsterdam.

Very nice place , delicious food fresh ingredients , we had open buffet with only 22 Euros per person, more than 30 different dishes were there all are delicious 😋, I am highly recommend you to visit this restaurant.

Heerlijk gegeten vandaag bij Mesken met collega’s. Zeker een aanrader. Veel keus, vriendelijk personeel en een goede service. Wij hebben de Mesken-special (voor 4 personen) besteld. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is super goed. Vlees was lekker mals, royale porties.

Lamsshoarma waren hele kleine vreemde stukjes 'vlees'; eerder schaap dan lams. Nog nooit zo een broodje lams gezien/gegeten. Niet lekker.

Deelgenomen aan een ontbijt programma. Heerlijk eten en geweldige mensen!

Great breakfast buffet on Sunday! Good value for money and friendly staff.

Food was not extraordinary tasteful, just average. But service was really too short coming. No service anymore after first drinks. Waiters are not showing up anymore until I've asked for the check. I've been in much better Turkish restaurant before in greater Amsterdam. One of my favorite is Bir Tat at the Bos en Lommer area. Service is fast and always waiters available around you!

Highly recommended by our Uber driver. My 1st time having Turkish food. The Grilled Chicken was seasoned and grilled to perfection. Others on my party enjoyed the chicken wings.

Vrij smakeloos eten, nauwelijks vegetarische opties, belabberde bediening, je moet om borden en bestek vragen, er wordt niet afgeruimd als het toetjes wordt bezorgd

Helaas 1 ster moeten geven want dat zijn ze niet waard. Niet gekregen wat we hebben besteld, dan bel je ze op en gooien ze gewoon de telefoon erop! Portie was klein voor dat geld en smaakte nergens naar. Dus niet bestellen daar, zonde van je geld!!!!!
