Giving two stars just not to be an outlier. Really terrible food. Only for ppl with no tastebuds. The only edible things were 2 of the appetizers. Tea was good as well. BBQ was unchewable, no flavor, soups had no flavor either. White ppl gulping it up tho👍

Taiwanese people came to try the oxtail soup after reading reviews. It's really delicious! It's oxtail and vermicelli soup with Korean glass noodles. It comes with four side dishes and a bowl of white rice. The Korean glass noodles are delicious, and the beef is very tender with several pieces! (Overall, it's a bit salty) but still tasty! You can add some water. I recommend everyone to try it! 😍🇹🇼🇹🇼🇹🇼 P.S. It's very noisy inside, with many Koreans, but the food is so good that it's negligible.

An truly authenthic Korean restaurant in the neighbourhood of Buitenveldert, even better than those viral Korean restaurants in downtown city centre :-) Kori-Gomtang, Haemul/kimchi pajeon, japchae, and Haemul Jeongol were the highlights. Bonus tip : great for hosting dinner with a large group. We were with 13 people and it was easy to get a reservation.

This is a nice Korean restaurant in Amsterdam, the food is pretty transitional. I ordered the beef tail soup. The flavor was not salty but really fresh, and the meat was well stewed. My friend ordered the bugogi, it was tasty but it was the flavor you could expect.

It's delicious, but it's not open on weekdays or holidays, so you have to make a reservation or you might end up not getting a table!

The spicy seafood hotpot is terrible. It seems a full pot but 90% is blackfish. Only 2 crab pincers, 2 shrimps, 2 or 3 clam meat and a bunch of pickles and onions. The seafood is also frozen and not fresh. The price is 46 euros for 2pp. This dish is like a scam.

I knew it wouldn't taste that good, but since there weren't any Korean restaurants open on Sundays, I had no choice but to go. I ordered bulgogi in a hot pot, but there wasn't even 5g of meat in it. There were a few pieces of completely broken meat, and a bowl full of onions and cabbage... It was a place that made me angry while eating. 15 euros for this? I should never go there again. I took that lesson and came back.

I know this place has so much to offer, will come back to try more dish. The bulgogi bibimbap was nice but the beef was minced super tiny and I was hoping for a meaty meal. Next time I would order japchae jambong and fried chicken with tokbokki, I saw lot of people order that makes me feel that I should come back soon

Il came a Wednesday evening for diner, I was not be accepted even if there was room in the restaurant. I was in business travel and I wanted to eat Korean food for reminder my last holidays in south Korea. I was very disappointed by the host of this restaurant and the boss mindset. That changed my opinion about the south Korean careness. That's life🙇‍♂️

Got there on Friday, at 18.00. We were seated right next to a group of drunk and screaming adults in their 30-50’s. They finished food before us, but decided to stay and utilise it as a bar, and played drinking games with extreme level of screaming. They are Korean, and yes I speak Korean too, it was a bit stressful for everyone else who was there trying to eat and have a good night with their company. I got headaches, and gave up on finishing food, cuz it was too loud (imagine that you’re seated next to a screaming 6-month old babe, on a budget airplane, and the baby cried whole 3 hours, worst). This has marked my worst dining experience in life as a 34 yo, and we were disappointed that the staff didn’t do anything about it, as it’s a Korean-owned business, they could have done something that is easier to be said local-to-local. Food was very good tho! Recommend for take away, but don’t go there on weekends, including Friday evening’s.

Here, I realized how the second generation can ruin what the first generation worked so hard to build. Restaurant Korea, a Korean restaurant in Amsterdam boasting 40 years of history, ruined my day, which was meant to end on a high note, with an unfriendly attitude that tarnished the "Korea" brand. I took 30 guests to our last dinner in Amsterdam, but due to a late schedule in The Hague, we arrived at the restaurant at 6:20 PM, 20 minutes after our reservation time. Of course, a phone call later solved the problem, but the real problem was the young owner (who likely inherited the restaurant from his parents). In all my years as a tour guide, I'd never shared a table with a client, and this guy didn't even give me a separate table and told me to sit with the 30 other guests. It wasn't like there weren't any seats in the restaurant. Besides our group, there were only a few individual customers. The next reservation didn't arrive until 7:00 PM, so our group had enough to eat and leave within 30 minutes, so there was no problem. This inflexible and arrogant young man refused to give us a separate table, insisting we didn't eat if we didn't want to. He was so arrogant and rude that he couldn't even give a separate table to a guide who brought 30 people. He didn't even apologize to me when I left without eating. Instead, he threatened to call the travel agency and tell them he wouldn't accept their customers again. It was a bizarre sight to witness a restaurant's arrogance! In short, I was full. There are plenty of other groups coming here, even if it weren't for you. If you call the travel agency and say you're not accepting their group, you'll be in more trouble, right? Haha. That was his exact attitude. Attitude is skill. Even if I don't use this restaurant anymore, other customers will come, so don't worry, right? I can confidently say that if this restaurant continues into the second generation with this kind of mentality, it will not end well. I'll skip dinner, but not only will I never visit this restaurant again, I'll also speak out on my own behalf to ensure other teams don't go to the Korean Pavilion, which is so arrogant and rude.

Suburb of Amsterdam but very popular with Asian culture lovers!

We had a company dinner for which we were placed in a separate room where we had our privacy. The food was amazing and plenty, service was good and helpful, despite our group size.

We were asked to leave at 8:13 PM, with the staff claiming we had exceeded a 2-hour dining limit. However, we arrived at 6:37 PM, meaning our meal lasted only 1 hour and 36 minutes. Interestingly, another table nearby—who had clearly been seated earlier—was allowed to continue their dinner without any reminder. The crab dish we ordered was also not fresh and tasted like it had been frozen for too long. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to friends who value respectful service and consistent standards. —————- lmao. The restaurant's reply is utterly absurd. It's downright laughable. First we had a reservation for 6:00 PM, and your staff asked if we could come at 6:30. We agreed. We arrived at 6:37. If this is still hard to understand, we’d be more than happy to review the surveillance footage together. Also,A two-hour dining limit is standard at many restaurants. The difference is, other restaurants inform us in advance—but you didn’t. Why? Was this rule just made up on the spot? And why not explain why other tables who arrived before or around the same time as us were still dining? ? This only confirms our impression of you guys establishment. We’ll make sure to share this experience with everyone.

Authentic Korean food! It's delicious!!

I have been going there for years. In my view it is the best Korean Restaurant in Amsterdam and beyond. Their cuisine is absolutely authentic, i typically take dolsot kibimbab & bulgogi, kimchi is great, bbq pork belly is great, nothing is sweet, it tastes just great for meat lovers. The restaurant has a simple Korean decor and initially i wasn’t sold, but gained a lot of appreciation over time for the timeless elegance.

This wasn’t my first experience of traditional Korean cuisine but it felt like one! I loved it!Not only that, the service was excellent. The lady helped me with best recommendations to choose from, and she didn’t lie! The food was just soo good, full of flavours. From all the Korean restaurants I visited, this is no doubt the best one yet! Will most definitely be coming back.

We have never encountered such rude and unprofessional behavior — not in this country, nor in any other. Today, we called ahead to place an order for dine-in, as we’ve always done. When we arrived, a female staff (with her lips pierced) told us we had ordered takeout. We explained we had clearly requested to eat at the restaurant. This girl already had an unpleasant attitude at that point, but we let it go. Later, a friend of ours came and placed an order on the spot. He waited over 45 minutes for his food — despite checking twice with the staff and noticing that other customers who came in much later had already been served. When the food finally came, he jokingly said, “Finally,” and the same staff member responded in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. She accused us of having a bad attitude and even claimed he was yelling at her — which was absolutely absurd and not true. She kept insisting we had ordered takeout over the phone, and demanded that we apologize to her. Honestly, I don’t know if it was a language barrier or a lack of basic comprehension, but her behavior was completely out of line. Even if we had ordered takeout and decided to eat in — so what? This is a restaurant. You serve people. That’s your job. What made the situation even worse was her discriminatory attitude. Her tone and behavior toward us, as Chinese customers, was completely different from how she treated others. She kept referring to us as “these Chinese,” which is both inappropriate and offensive. This was clearly not just a misunderstanding — it was racial discrimination, and we take that very seriously. We like the food here, but as long as this rude staff member continues to work at this restaurant, we will not return. It’s a disgrace to treat customers — any customers — in this way.

My colleagues and I have been loyal customers for years, regularly dining here because it is conveniently located near our office. It had always been a pleasant experience. That changed recently. We were met with an unexpectedly hostile attitude. The waitress accused us of not informing them that we would be dining in, and said that had "messed up their kitchen". This accusation was completely unfounded. We were even told to apologize for something we did not do. Sadly, the other reviews were right. There seems to be a clear difference in how people from different backgrounds are treated here. This was not just poor service. It was disrespectful and discriminatory. We will not be returning.

We appreciate that the owner eventually stepped in to help, but the lack of professionalism and accountability from the person we initially interacted with has made us decide not to return. We hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and reflects on how service should be delivered—with respect, fairness, and a willingness to listen.

The first time I thought I could just walk in on a normal Sunday for lunch. Then the place was completely full! Which I think is a good sign. This made me make a reservation for the next visit. Something to look forward to! The business exudes an authentic Korean restaurant. In addition, there was already Korean tea ready on the tables and the necessary side dishes. The kimchi was immediately delicious. There were 3 of us and we had the bulgogi/rice, fish bibimbap, soy chicken and the lunch special. If you are a big eater, the bibimbap is recommended. You must have tried the chicken. The dough is so delicate and has a really good crunchy bite without the feeling of just eating batter! The lunch special looks very cute and was versatile. The mandu was freshly made! This makes it extra special. If you appreciate Korean cuisine then this is definitely a place to visit. Especially as the first real Korean restaurant, and they have been there since the 80s!

I had a main course with rice cake. The sauce was delicious, but I didn't like the cake. My group really enjoyed the food!

The taste of the food was relatively good due to the seasoning (although I know that side dishes are not refillable in foreign countries...), but the additional side dishes are very small and cost 1 euro each... There are 3 people eating, but the same amount of side dishes is placed on the table as for 1 person, so the side dishes are gone quickly... The day before, at another Korean restaurant in Amsterdam, they happily refilled side dishes for foreigners and even gave each person a separate side dish tray, so here I asked, 'Can you give me more side dishes?' When I asked, it was 1 euro per small bowl of side dishes containing one chopstick... Osam bulgogi and bibimbap tasted okay, but a bit sweet.

After eating European food for two days, I was really tired of it. There happened to be a Korean restaurant near the hotel. As soon as I ate the rice, I felt like I was back in Asia.

Jjajangmyeon and Jjamppong were both delicious, but Jjajang tasted just like regular food and Jjamppong had a slightly strong kimchi flavor. The amount is really huge. The moment I came out, I was very satisfied with the size of the bowl, which was like a wash basin. Haha. It's usually full, so you need to make a reservation.

Visited Europe for a 3-week vacation from Korea and this was the best Korean restaurant so far. Food was legit and some were even better than the ones you could get in Seoul. The ssamjang they serve with samgyeopsal is authentic, and loved the texture of the sweet and sour chicken. The jeon was very crispy and paired well with their fresh Heineken.

I liked coming here, especially because there is a lot of room in this restaurant. The other restaurants in the area are quickly fully booked. The quality of the food is also superb. The sweet sour chicken, naengmgyun & yukhe are especially delicious. Unfortunately something bad happened here. The host is quite nonchalant, which is not disturbing as long as the food is served well and quickly. It was true that there was a hair in the kimchi. It had not fallen on it, but was rolled/interwoven in it 😀 Which can happen of course, but when I pointed this out they looked at me askance, started talking about it among themselves, didn't offer a new one and didn't apologize either.

너무 맛있어서 the moment I saw a lot of Koreans eating there, it was a sign. It was crowded but the service was still fine. It would be better if they have some variant flavor for their soju and makgeolli, also it would be nice if they have tteokguk 떡국 recommended dishes to order: 탕수육, 닭볶음, 삼겹살, 군만두 (taksuyuk, dakbokkeum, samgyeopsal, gunmandu). oh, and don't forget the melon ice cream for dessert 메로나
