The meal was very good (Ramen and chicken), we were served quickly, however you have to pay extra when you eat, be careful it is marked in small print on the menu.

I live closeby and Seoul House is one of my favourite staples. Every time I go the food is great. Not sure why it really is some people leave negative reviews but I can't believe it is because of the food. Never that busy so always a table, but I guess that is in part thanks to the negative reviewers. Although I don't think it's fair if they are leaving fake reviews.

I don't understand these reviews, the food is amazing, atmosphere is lovely and staff is super sweet and friendly, I really love this place. Too many people are sleeping on this place, it's a hidden gem for korean fried chicken in the center

The fried chicken and the Gyoza (dumplings) were really tasty! Only reason for 3 stars is because the bimbap hardly had any meat and wasnt that savory. Other than that really good experience!

The food was a bowl of boiled rice with one tablespoon of raw carrot and one raw zucchini. The chicken was small chunks... pork? Rat? Tasteless. It cost €18, but it wasn't even worth €4.50. It didn't resemble Korean food in the slightest. The girl was sweet, though. Too bad. We'll have to keep looking for a good Korean restaurant.

The food was hideous; the chicken was green. It had no taste whatsoever. The noodles were watery and tasteless, with an aftertaste of vomit; the ingredients were clearly not fresh. The staff showed no understanding whatsoever; for them, everything was normal. We still paid €85. No compensation was offered. I absolutely do not recommend this place; we couldn't eat. The photo below shows the dishes we left behind because we couldn't finish them.

Even if the name of restaurant came from the capital of S.Korea, I never believe the cuisines are authentic. Anyone who has an expectation of Korean food in Amsterdam, i dare not to recommend that place. Highly disappointed.

Unfortunately, our food didn’t taste good at all. I ordered the Korean hot and spicy chicken, but it tasted overwhelmingly like vinegar. I also tried their special ramen, and it was disappointing. The broth lacked flavor, the noodles weren’t fully cooked, and the beef was extremely chewy. On the positive side, the staff were very kind, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the food itself was not enjoyable.

Ordered food via Ubber Eats. Food was tasty, but the meat was little. I mean REALLY LITTLE...I ordered Bibimap chicken and counted 3 small pieces of chicken. Next time a little more meat, come on!!

i had the gochujang mayo chicken and 1. the chicken was unchewable almost everywhere 2. the "gochujang" mayo wasn't spicy at all 3. the chicken itself was incredibly bland 4. the soju was way too pricey (14€ for a bottle)

Staff was nice and the interior atmosphere was nice and cozy, but the food we came for was really bad unfortunately. The sauce of the spicy rice cakes tasted too much of vinegar/sour and was completely different from the real deal. Very little amount of chicken/beef for the bibimbab. The spicy tofu stew has no taste and is too clear. The kimchi and bibimbab sauce were very watery and had little to no flavor. In addition, 2 main courses from 4 of us arrived much later than those from the other 2. We found it very disappointing for the amount of money we paid and a bad reference for our friend who was eating Korean for the first time.

I ordered kimchi stew, but it felt like they just added water to the kimchi and seasoned it with salt. If it's a Korean restaurant, there should be at least a few crappy side dishes, but there wasn't a single one. The boss is probably not Korean at all. Above, it was written in a good way. Koreans should never order kimchi stew. To be honest, it was so delicious that I only ate the tofu.

Elegimos este lugar ya que estaba cerca de donde nos alojamos. Altas expectativas pero muy decepcionado. Ordenó Sundubu Jigae y Daenjang Jigae. El Sundubu Jigae era acuoso, sin sabor a umami ni a kimchi. Lleno de tofu y sin kimchi dentro. El Daenjang Jigae también tenía un sabor diluido. También pidió el pollo frito original. Estaba seco. No volveré.

Visited this place yesterday. The service was amazing. The food came is less than 10 minutes and was sooo good! The prices are cheap as well! They have many options and also a very large variety of drinks to choose from. Definitely recommend stopping by for some good Korean food that won’t hurt your wallet.

Everything is great. Portions were enough for five men. Food was very tasty, all in all a very good and nice visit.

Before we made our way to this establishment we checked their menu on Google. As they had a v logo with leaf which is widely used as a vegan symbol, we thought they had vegan options for 3 of our family members out of 4. But as I looked into the menus onsite I realized some of the options didn't fit vegan dietary requirements. When the waitress (who didn't seem happy from the start and had an attitude ) approached I asked if the leafy marked ones were vegan and she said no. I explained that they really need to change that as it can be misleading for many people like us. She wasn't happy to hear the suggestion and continued with her attitude and asked if we were ready to order. And I asked if the veggie dumplings were vegan and she said no and she had no intentions to even accommodate our dietary inquiries unlike what their menu suggested. And I said then we cannot dine here and she just couldn't care less. We had just got off to train and our first day in Amsterdam, this is the attitude we see...it's shocking! Also, people smoking right at the entry door are just a big put off! Horrible service, not accommodating dietary requirements. I suggest looking elsewhere where they are happy to have you as a customer. Don't bother with this place! Bad service from start to end!

We were there in February, just ToGo. We were welcomed immediately and waited about 10 minutes for the food. We're still dreaming about this chicken!!

I order online. We git a very small portion of cucumber was very sour and not pickled just with winegar ( portion was super smaal) the chicken wad old and dry with almost no sauce. Rice gnocchi horrible very sour with no taste. DISGUSTING!

I really had high expectations for the Korean fried chicken which I have eaten before in other establishments. I wanted the classic fried chicken with the yum yum sauce on the side. I was charged 3 euros for the sauce it seems which is wild. The fried chicken itself wasn’t crispy at all and the pieces themselves were very small l. I walked out of the establishment eating it so that it wouldn’t get soggy. It was super soggy and the coating was very bland. Not what I’m used to in other Korean joints. Also no napkins in bag when I searched in my paper bag. Underwhelming…

everything was great, thanks to the nice waitress, but I have a strange suggestion: your table covering melts from hot dishes and because of this clothes and everything else stick to the tables, and it smells bad 😄 it would be cool to have coasters for food or tables made of another material. thanks for a nice evening!

the closing time is 10pm on google maps. But take out only from 8:30. Travelled all the way there to be disappointed.

I ate sweet and spicy chicken, was good, big pieces and tasty spices . Sweet potato fries portion is really big serves the price of 7,50€ but i didn’t really get that. Would be nicer to have option of small portion as well.

Ubicado en el corazón de Ámsterdam, Seoul House es un lugar perfecto para descubrir Ámsterdam. Tiene un ambiente relajado y acogedor, y está lleno de sabor y encanto. La comida aquí es simplemente increíble. Tanto si optas por el clásico Bibimbap, el pollo Mandu o el pollo frito coreano, no te decepcionará. Todo sabe fresco y sabroso. El personal es muy amable y te hace sentir como en casa. ¡Muy recomendable!

I went with my German husband and I was very disappointed. Although it is said to be a Korean restaurant and serves Korean food, it is not recommended. In particular, only the signboard said ‘Seoul’, but everything inside the store was incorrectly written as ‘Seoeul’. I thought about doing business in a place where Koreans do it, with the name of the capital city written down incorrectly. I don't know if I chose the wrong menu, but the taste was so bad. The pork kimchi stew was bland and sour, so it was closer to kimchi soup, but I liked that it had tofu in it. I ordered soy sauce garlic chicken, but my German husband said it didn't taste like garlic and the soy sauce was too salty. The rice was not fresh and the rice bowl was dirty. I wanted to tell the foreigners who were eating that this did not taste like Korean food. If you are Korean, go somewhere else. Ich bin selbst Koreanerin und das ist kein richtiges Koreanisches Essen wie man es aus Korea kennt.

Muy decepcionante. El entrante de pollo estaba bien. El bimimbap de ternera fue el peor que había tenido. Lo que debería haber sido un huevo frito blando era tan duro como los clavos. Tuve que devolverla y explicar que la yema debe estar blanda para que puedas mezclarla con el resto de ingredientes. Una porción muy pequeña también. Por último, el postre - si no sabes que el helado afeitado es en realidad hielo - no tiene sabor en absoluto. ¿Estaremos de vuelta definitivamente no!

Cuisine: Generous and quality dish with great taste. But to have a complete meal there are “extras” to pay, I was surprised to have to pay extra to have my bowl of rice. Service: Quite responsive, friendly and attentive waitress. Atmosphere: friendly and sober decor but nothing very authentic. Quiet restaurant in the city center, which is nice!

I wanted to eat Korean food so I went there because it was nearby, but I was a bit disappointed.

The friendly staff responded on the first day, so I visited on the last day, and they threw spoons and threw food away without even asking if I had finished it. I ran out as if I was being chased. No taste of kimchi fried rice, no taste of ramen! Haha, no, no, bibimbap is okay~^^!

I’m sure at the restaurant it’s better but the delivery portions are small and definitely not worth 16€ for mostly rice..

The environment of the place and the food were good vibes Unfortunately this place definitely lacks of minimal respect towards the client. I ordered Chicken soy & garlic but the waitress came with a sweet and spicy one. As soon as I received it and without touching my food I informed her, but she told us that she had to charge us for the waste of food even though I specifically ordered the Chicken Soy & garlic. What disappointed me was the way this situation was managed, they didn't want to hear anything, and didn't leave us any chance but to be charged half the plate if we wanted to replace the wrong dish with the rightful one. So until the end no solution was found and I had to deal with the wrong one even though the restaurant was responsible of the inconvenience. Then they acted rudely until the end as if we were the one responsible. So know that the service here is disappointing, only commercial. The 1 star I have given is just 0.5 rounded up.

Terrible place and service, not even close to Korean food. Plain and tasteless. My friend waited for a beverage that never came. They force you to buy a bottle of water which costs 9€. Last time I had this was in a 5 star hotel. Plus it is not even legal. Not very friendly staff.

My wife and I had a hankering for Korean food and ee were near Dam Square and I got this as a recommendation. The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean, not to be underestimated on Dam Square. Service is as good as it is in any other restaurant in the centre of Amsterdam if not better. We had the House Fried Chicken, Beef Bibimbap and a Beef Japchae with two drinks. Total price EUR 49 which is great value. Was the food as good as it is in Seoul? No, it wasn't, the spicing and seasoning is geared up for a Dutch palette so it's blander than normal. But it is good snd as I said at that price it's really decent and I'd recommend the place.

Came on the evening of April 24, 2024. The food was great, but the service is ridiculous!! I have never encountered that in the Netherlands, restaurants don’t serve tap water. And what’s even more ridiculous, right after the waiter told me they don’t give out tap water for free, the guy who was sitting next to me got a glass of tap water for free!? I asked the guy before calling the waiter over. The guy told me he got the tap water for free, and when I called the waiter over and asked, the waiter was still trying to lie to me that they did sold it to him. Not sure there’s any racism involved in this case since the guy is more European looking, while I’m not, neither does the waiter, and the workers in the shop since they are all speaking Chinese to each other in a Korean restaurant. How ironic! Do not come to this place unless you want to pay for tap water!! Or perhaps to be treated differently based on your looks/races.

We ordered vegetables bibimbap and beef bibimbap. Beef bibimbap came out with one TINY piece of beef. I wouldn’t recommended this restaurant.

We wanted to eat something nearby and ended up here. Ordered bibimbap, 1 with chicken and 1 with beef and 2 Cass beers. On recommendation we also ordered kimchi. I thought it was quite expensive for what you get. The amount of chicken and beef was really very little. It was said that this was due to the amount of vegetables, but that wasn't too bad. I did say something about it. I was offered extra chicken but I said I didn't want it because I didn't want to pay extra for it. In the end I got a bowl of extra chicken, at no extra cost. That was nice, but my table companion was not so happy. I might come back here again to eat ice cream, but not for the food. The staff was neat.

First of all, I was happy that there was a Korean restaurant in Amsterdam! The atmosphere was cozy like a Korean pub, and the fried chicken and tteokbokki were all delicious ^^ The soft tofu stew tasted a little different from the original soft tofu stew, but my daughter enjoyed it and said it was delicious!

The food is terrible and not even close to Korean cuisine. But it is not the worst part. The most disappointed is they delivered me the burn pancake. They even flip the pancale to show the normal side. How could they not respect the client in that way. At least cook the new one. It is just the basic standard for restaurant. The topokki is full of oil which seem like cooked by not Korean chefs or not even try to cook like Korean. Worst topokki ever. I am so disappointed.

Cozy and fun little Soju bar/Korean Restaurant. They offer good quality soju and a good selection of flavours.

We were looking to have some food before we went to the airport and came across this place. We got a table straight away and food came very fast. We both had the sweat and spicy fried chicken with chips and rice. It was amazing! Very yummy and filled us up for our trip home. Would definitely recommend and didn’t cost too much considering it’s in the centre.

Their mango bingsu is lovely and their service is great!

First time to leave a review. Found out about this place a while ago and finally decided to try it. Unfortunately it wasn't that great. We ordered tteokbokki, chicken and kimchi fried rice. It was bland, the portions were small and the kimchi wasn't flavorful at all. They're very skimpy on the sauce and other ingredients as well (vegetables, fish cakes, onions, etc). Worst of all, I even ended up biting down on a thick, sharp piece of plate... Ours wasn't chipped so we had no idea where it came from. The waitress was nice but she had to handle the situation all alone, no one else came to apologize to us, which signalled that they didn't think it was all that serious. They offered to remake the dish, which I obviously didn't want anymore, so we ended up with a free drink because a discount wasn't an option. Very, very disappointed in the way they handled the situation. Don't recommend eating here. There are way better Korean restaurants all over Amsterdam.

No free tap water (cost-cutting strategy), kimchi ok but very small bit (cost-cutting strategy), chinese rice (cheaper, non-asian will never notice), old tofu (cheapest in very light 된장찌개), no gochu in 육개장... very bad... Also notice the waitresses, robots worn-out, cozy-free atmosphere.

Delicious chicken and tteokbokki definitely worth trying!

I ordered a soup with seafood that was served so boiling hot that I was able to eat a few bites of the rice that came with it, but unfortunately I was left with blisters in my mouth. The dumplings were also like eating away at a block of frying fat. Pity. Very expensive for the poor to no service and quality. Once, never again.

It was a very great evening the meal was delicious we took chicken and noodles and Yung ru the waitress did a wonderful service. It was my first time eating dinner in Amsterdam and I'm so glad I came here. The lady inside was really very warm, it's good to see people so smiling, it was a real pleasure, we'll come back for sure.

Had a nice meal here with my girlfriend. We enjoyed the chicken and it was quite tasty, it is a bit of a pricey place for what you get. One disadvantage I found was that the kimchi rice did not taste like kimchi and was far from spicy. I would have preferred wooden chopsticks instead of metal ones, but maybe that's a personal thing.

We were still unfamiliar with Korean food, so we asked for advice and were very well informed. And the food and Korean beer (Cass) tasted delicious! It's fantastic!

The best wings and banchan I've had in the Netherlands. The spicy options are decently spicy, and all the picked options are great.

I have to say that this visit was really a total disappointment, at least as far as the price/performance ratio is concerned. I was here with my sister about 1 1/2 weeks ago and we ordered kimchi and kimchi fried rice as starters. The kimchi came in a 6x6 small bowl, max. 2 heaped tablespoons for €4, the kimchi fried rice was okay in terms of quantity, but very dry because there was hardly any kimchi on it. For the main course we both ordered tteokbokki and wow, I was shocked by this tiny amount! There were maybe 15 small rice cakes in the sauce for €11 per portion. My sister then ordered another portion of Tteokbokki for herself, I skipped because of the price, and suddenly the portion is twice as big as before! Actually, the rice cakes have already piled up and previously they were lying individually on the plate with large gaps. I was shocked.. I have no idea why the portion beforehand was so small. But I think in a restaurant the portions always have to be the same size and if that's not the case then as a customer you feel ripped off. The only bright spot as far as the food was concerned was the bedside table, we shared Bingsu Oreo and that was really tasty! Only the service gets 5 stars for me because she was really very friendly!

It's not really Korean food. It looks good, but it doesn't guarantee the taste. It tasted so different from the tteokbokki I knew.

Eating here was one of those moments when your palate becomes a cathedral :)

If there is no side dish in Korean food, it is not Korean food. This is bibimbap that I ate without side dishes for the first time. I don't think any Korean can imagine. 반찬없는 비빔밥 맛몸. 최소한 김치 한 쪼각은 줘야 한국인 인심.

Sehr gutes koreanisches Restaurant, das Essen war perfekt. Bestellung entweder direkt bei der Bedienung oder via QR Code auf dem Tisch. Einziger Nachteil es gab nur Essstäbchen, zum Reis gibt es aber einen Löffel.

Upon arrival we were seated in a very crowded table in close proximity to other diners despite there being ample seating else where. We ordered the soy and garlic chicken and a small side of white rice however it arrived after other diners who arrived after us had already had their food, furthermore the waitress persuaded us to have a large bottle of water but didn't inform us of the outrageous price of eight euros fifty! The food was enjoyable and full of flavour and the portion sizes were good but it was a bit on the pricey side.

We went here because we couldn’t get tables at any of the other Korean places and I see why this place had space while everywhere else was full. The chicken was good but really expensive, you pay an extra €5 for just the sauce on top. The Japchae was basically just noodles, there were hardly any vegetables or beef. The menu says it’s bulgogi beef but it didn’t taste like bulgogi at all, it was bland and the pieces were tiny. On top of this the noodles were all clumped together into one giant ball 😐 the soju is also very overpriced, they charge €14 for a bottle that is €3 at the Asian supermarket. Overall the food was okay but wayyy too expensive. Save yourself the trouble and book one of the other Korean restaurants!
