Amazing food and big portions! Definitely recommend

Nour had probably been one of my favourite places in Amsterdam because their kebabs are quite good, and I used to go there very often. I also recommended them to my friends. There have been some ups and downs in service but I know it is a part of the restaurant business and I always thought the quality of their food made up for it. However, sometimes their staff is so rude that it completely kills your mood. I went to pack some salad and bread and waited inside for a bit, using my phone to pass time. They gave me a plastic bag with my food, and as I start to walk out I get a tap on the shoulder from one of the staff who asks me to go to the counter. I go back and the person at the counter asks me if I have received the bread. I start to open the bag and say I'm not sure, let me check. And meanwhile, he, who knows he has forgotten to pack my bread, makes an angry face and says - "if you would put away your phone for 5 mins, you would know". I was so stunned that I just picked up the food and left. I mean it is YOUR responsibility to deliver my order in full, and you have the guts to comment on whether I should be using a phone inside your restaurant or not. I mean what business is it of theirs if I use my phone or not. And what a terribly rude thing to say. Forget customer service, forget an apology, they sometimes make you feel like they are doing a big favour by allowing you to eat their food. It is really one of my worst moments in Amsterdam and I don't think I'm going back ever again.

The restaurant is excellent, the food is clean and delicious, the staff are nice and helpful, and the owner of the restaurant supervises it and serves you with his eyes. It deserves five stars. It is one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam, in my opinion.

Our visit to this restaurant was downright disappointing. We had to wait an extremely long time, both for the order to be taken and for the food itself. When the food finally arrived, several dishes appeared to have been forgotten or incorrectly delivered. Even drinks were not remembered well. We had to constantly get the attention of the staff ourselves, who were clearly overworked or disinterested. There was hardly any apology offered, and it felt like we were simply forgotten. For a night out for dinner, this was anything but relaxing. We definitely won't be coming back here again.

The most delicious kebab I have ever tasted, to be honest, but the rest of the grills were average I do not recommend shawarma The service was average The atmosphere is very crowded But it is worth a visit to taste Iraqi kebab in its original form

Excellent, clean, outstanding restaurant

Absolutely delicious food and super friendly service! Portions are generous, technically enough for two, but everything was so tasty I ended up eating it all myself 😄 Lots of great vegetarian and vegan options. The vegetarian Biryani with okra and the smoky Baba Ghanoush were standouts. Fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with love. Can’t wait to come back!

After coming here for many years first time I couldn't chew the lamb pieces. Food was cold after 5 minits while other time after ten minits we still eat warm meat and chicken wings. Oh the wings were raw on the side. Blood dripping and I cam here with first time guests from outside of Amsterdam... feeling very disappointed 😞

We are from Tajikistan, we came to Amsterdam on vacation and wanted to have a delicious meal, we found this restaurant nearby, everything is very tasty, if you want to eat deliciously, I advise you to visit this restaurant, everything is at the highest level, I recommend it ✔️

Skewers kebab 3 portions were not cooked through so half were raw. The dish is not suitable for consumption. We always had to ask the clerk for bread. We ordered a plate of biriaini and it was still old. I have never eaten such a bad biriaini in my life.

5 stars for the bread and tabule alone.

I have ordered only one shesh , Kabab , but they brought two shish kebab and also they say okay we don’t charge you for that however they charge me extra for the other foods They are really scammers . I don’t recommend to no Kurdish or Iraqi to this restaurant.

Daal soup, humus and freshly baked bread was delicious. Too bad the interior is not really cozy because of all the dark furniture.

I came to Amsterdam from Denmark and visited this restaurant. The food is really good and clean

I used to come here once in a while. Today I had the worst meat I have ever had in the Netherlands. And the people I brought couldn't even eat the meat. Half of it was full fat no meat at all. The rice was so smelly. I would prefer you to increase the prices rather than reducing the quality.

Iraqi food like Kebab and other dishes but it’s expensive you pay at least for one portion 18€ and is not worthy for that price you pay for a drink 3 € even is expensive, and you can’t stay for more than the time to finish your meal no privacy we gave as a table beside the casher , for one person you pay easy 25- 30 , parking not easy and about 5.50€ …

Yesterday, we (4 Greeks) dined at this gem in Amsterdam, and it exceeded all expectations! Delicious food with generous portions at decent prices. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. This place instantly became our favorite spot in the city. Highly recommend it!

The dishes were good, but the service was very poor. We waited a long time for the drinks to arrive and had to go inside to check if they were coming. We also waited 20 minutes for the bill, even though there were only us and one other table. It wasn’t crowded; I don’t know why there was a delay.

Frankly speaking, the food is very good, but there was a worker of Syrian nationality who was very rude in dealing with customers and with us in particular. Even when I advised her to order food, she did not listen to herself But the second Syrian guy was very polite and polite I advise the restaurant owner to reprimand her and teach her how to respect the customer

My Iraqi friend wanted to introduce me to his cuisine. Well I would have to say he succeeded in presenting the cuisine in one of the best ways possible. We started with a mix of 'mezzes', consisting of different small dishes like: baba ganoush, muhammara, tzatziki, hummus, tabbouleh and falafel. It is served with Libanese bread. The 'muhammara' with bread tasted so good! The tabbouleh is a killer, it was delicious. The 'mezze mix' is a feast for the eye and mouth. The main (shawarma with shashlick)was decent, but the mezzes stole my heart🥰

Nour is always is the best many times go always better than better

Great place for an intimate family dinner even though it's located in a busy street. It was my 2nd visit and it was worth it. I had dinner with my family and we had several dishes. Of course I liked mine best: The mixed grill. It was a little bit too much for me and my wife but the staff gave us the leftovers to take away. Great experience all over.

My friend and I had dinner at Nour. This is one for the meat-lovers especially. The food was delicious and came in copious proportions. We took Meze for starter and then I had kebab lamb Iraq (see picture). My friend took the Turkish lamb kebab which came with fries. The beers come from a crate which gives it a bit of a cool (unintended) Berlin raw vibe. Friendly staff. Nice mix of clientele. Really recommend it.

All of the dishes were really delicious. I like that at the end we had extra bread to bring home with. I love the dips so much! They are all different and it was interesting to have different tastes every time. There were also lots of meat. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken a lot.
