Amazing pizza and pasta place. Really nice. Jordaan neighborhood. Lovely service, delicious pizza, order the pistachio ricotta honey spread for the focaccia. Had the carbonara pasta and prosciutto pizza and wine and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Our kiddo liked the pizza! Highly recommend!

We had dinner there yesterday and it was an excellent experience. I think the best part was the restaurant itself and the service. The only downside I can mention is that we were near the stairs and there was a strong smell of bleach coming from the kitchen, which made the experience less than 100% satisfactory. However, that's not enough to detract from the excellent restaurant, which combines a beautiful setting, excellent service, good food, and a great atmosphere with prices that are average for Amsterdam.

Sebastian was recommended to us by a server at our hotel bar when asked about cool places to eat nearby. Food and service were great. Pizzas made in a proper pizza oven deliver the chewiest, most blissful crust. Beef carpaccio was excellent and worthy of mention. The place was very quiet considering prime supper hour reservation, which may have been due to Google misinformation about the restaurant being closed on Tuesdays. I imagine it would have been a more lively experience on a busier night, but this didn’t affect our enjoyment ent of the food.

Nice restaurant, due to the location, the place can be a bit overcrowded, reservation is definitely recommended! We had pizzas, both tastes good, but with some modern twist I have to say (if you are up for traditional pizza, it might not be for you)

I recently had a wonderful meal at Restaurant Sebastiaans. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but what truly made my experience was the service. Olivier was an exceptionally polite and attentive server. He was friendly, professional, and ensured everything ran smoothly. His hospitality made me feel very welcome. In short: highly recommended, both for the food and the excellent service.

A missed opportunity for good pasta. Neither the carbonara nor the pasta norma were really worth recommending. The carbonara was very salty and lacked much flavor. The game was very sparse. The eggplant in the norma was swimming in oil. The pasta itself was fresh, though. No comments on the service.

As mentioned before, it's a beautiful establishment with large, neo-New York-style display windows. The pizzas are delicious, though a bit pricey at between 20 and 30 euros. We sat very close to the pizza oven, which gave us a great glimpse into the pizza-making process, but also resulted in heatstroke. If you get the chance, ask for a different seat.

Booked for our anniversary dinner. Mind you,my wife wanted to try this place since she discovered it. Made a reservation online and included that it was our special day. We made it there and were welcomed. We didn’t receive any special wish not that we expected any. Was seated right by the door which was a meh for me. Too many ins and outs. Restaurant was fairly empty and so didn’t understand the placement? The service started with a bang. For starters we shared the “focaccia pistachio”. That was super delicious!!! Great attention and then all of a sudden we had to wait fairly long to place our order for mains. This was followed by a 45 min wait for mains which was a “salami picante” pizza and a “linguine gamberi” pasta. The food was mid. You can see in the image the amount of shrimp or lack thereof. The lady came to the table, literally dropped my pizza and said “sorry for the wait”. The manner in which this was done was unacceptable. I didn’t even have time to ask for a pizza cutter. I didn’t want to review this place with this rating as my wife was soooooo excited. Meh 🫤

The décor was lovely and the food was good, but the service let it down. The staff didn’t seem very attentive or interested in whether we were enjoying our meal. Several were more focused on their phones, and one waitress was quite rude and dismissive, spending more time chatting with another table than serving ours. We also felt rushed out at the end. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for friendly or attentive service.

The food was undoubtedly very good – flavorful dishes, and the pizzas are especially recommended. The interior is cozy and well-maintained, and the waitress was friendly and attentive. However, the atmosphere felt a bit too commercial. The wine glasses were poured so full that it felt a bit excessive, and during dinner, the dishes were being cleared while someone was still eating. Dishes weren't served simultaneously. It was a shame that we were politely but firmly asked to leave at exactly 8:30 PM, even though the reservation system still showed tables available at that time. All in all, we had a good meal, but it felt more like a place geared towards one-time visitors than regulars. We live in Amsterdam and would love to return to good restaurants, but we'll probably skip this one.

We dined here tonight, the Carbonara and Pizza Prosciutto were both excellent, wines were superb, service warm and attentive. ‘Sebastian’ has a lovely ambience. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Amsterdam.

A really nice restaurant. Cozy, homely, great atmosphere, good service, and incredibly delicious food. The pizzas are just as they should be: fresh dough, baked in a wood-fired oven, and the pastas are also delicious. Definitely recommended!

I tried the Agnolotti di manzo and the Tiramisu , both were amazing! The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the tiramisu was really delicious!

The pizza and pasta were out of this world. Fantastic meal. The service was slow and we had someone come to the table to deliver the meal and never saw them again. But the food made up for it.

Never been treated this bad at a restaurant. I ordered Carbonara without the meat, everything was fine the first 10 minutes until another woman came to me and told be she didn't unterstand my order. I told her I ordered the pasta Carbonara without the meat - only the sauce made of eggs and whatever. She told me that's not possible in Italian kitchen, it's a traditional dish. I asked if the pasta is pre cooked and she told me no. I accepted the situation and told her I'm not that hungry anyways and I don't want anything else. She stood next to me a long moment, told me to order something different again and again even though I told multiple times I don't want anything. She even asked me rude if I've ever been to Italy. I never felt this uncomfortable in my life at a restaurant! Bad customer service, unfriendly, rude. I just like the taste of Carbonara and I'm not allowed to have meat for health reasons. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Even in Italy. And to answer your rude question if I ever been to Italy - I've been to MANY places, many countries and continent's and never been treated this bad anywhere. Compassion should have a bigger meaning than any tradition. I went to bed hungry and had a horrible first day of my 2 day trip to Amsterdam. Your actions and behavior affect people but I hope your actions made you feel better yesterday. At least my dog received some water.

The focaccia was delicious with the pistachio pesto, the pizza was good, but the shrimp pasta tasted like unloved boxed pasta with olive oil. The staff and atmosphere were lovely.

My dad and I had an amazing evening dining here. Our waiter was super kind and patient with us. We decided to get two starters, one main and foccacia on the side. Every dish was excellent! The best carbonara I’ve ever had. The chicken in our caeser salad was super juicy and fresh, the vitello tonato was extremely creamy and delicious with the freshly baked foccacia! 10/10 would recommend and am definitely coming back!

Loved the atmosphere. Had a lunch there, I got so relaxed inside that it felt like “cozy evening” completely forgot it was still a daytime outside :) Food was delicious, wish it was a bit more cooked than Al dente, because I’m usually a slow eater 😅

A fantastic restaurant with amazing food and drinks in the heart of the 9 streets. Staff was super lovely and helpful, always looking after the customer. Had the carbonara and my friend had the risotto and were both delicious. The cocktails were delicious and authentic. I will be back for sure.

On the advice of my daughter, who had a delicious meal here, I also booked with friends. Delicious food, especially the vitello tonato was delicious and the ravioli really delicious. Ook een beetje geproefd van de andere gerechten en echt alles was lekker. We will definitely come back and try a pizza.

What a happy finding I made back in January this year! I have returned to Sebastian again last month and once more I was satisfied with my experience. The food is amazing! I probably had one of the best melanzane alla parmigiana of my life, and for sure the visually most interesting one! (Please, bring it back to your menu!). The focaccia is also delicious! I really enjoy the food here. The ambient is also nice. I think they managed to find a perfect balance between fancy and informal, chic and approachable. The service also deserves a 5 stars. The staff is super nice, kind and helpful. The very single point of improvement for me is that it becomes very challenging to be comfortable when sitting at the tables closer to the oven during summer time. However, I don’t really know what could be done in that regard. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed my dinner there and would absolutely come back and recommend this place!

I’ll start with my favorite part of my dinner here: the desserts. Very fancy presentation, and very tasty as well. Worth their (high) price. The Neapolitan pizza was on another hand disappointing: dough quite flat, and not much volume on the pizza overall as all ingredients seem to just be melted on it. Visual asides, it tasted good. Note that there aren’t many vegetarian options.

Lovely place with great service. They accommodated oyr family very graciously even though they were packed. Food was delicious and the highlight of the night was their aperol spritz sour!

Italian with a twist: While not cheap, the dishes were clever and very tasty. Vitello tonnato and carbonara were something I'd never tasted before! It's cozy inside, but unfortunately there's not much space outside on the sidewalk – but the good food and charming service more than make up for it!

I had such a delicious meal here last night. The risotto was the best I've ever had, and the atmosphere is so welcoming and open. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're visiting Amsterdam.

I've been there for the second time now and once again had a wonderful evening. The staff is friendly, super competent, and very well-coordinated. The food is delicious, both the pizzas and the pasta. If you go, try the asparagus risotto with a lovely glass of Burgundian Chardonnay; even I (not a Chardonnay fan) really enjoyed this wine. A true Italian restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam! Authentic from the decor to the service, not forgetting, of course, the food and drinks! Special mention for the pizzas: flavors, dough, and cooking—you'd think you were in the boot!

Long story short, nice venue & service, poor lunch, overpriced. The waiters and decoration are great... but the meal... 1. Prices... not shown in the web and 50% over the prices shown in the google pics. 48 euros for a pizza margueritta, pasta carbonara and a bottle of water. 2. Foodwise; - pizza. After I ordered it, i noticed it was a gas oven, not wood. The pizza was difficult to cut into slices instead of being soft with a fluffy crust. - carbonara. The guancialle was burnt and the pasta was boilt with very few salt in the water.

Love the interior. Fancy tiles and furniture and mirrors everywhere. Looks stylish with a good combo of friendly staff wearing black hipster outfits. The Neapolitan pizza was very good. Dough pretty crispy on the outside but soft inside so was pretty good. Tough getting through with your knife but tasty nevertheless. Had an artichoke one and a normal margherita. They tasted and looked quite similar. Bufala was melted into an orange mix so both pizzas looked good but quite flat. Desserts were presented like a piece of art. Look at those photos. An amazing blondie topped with chocolate and the tiramisu had a nice modern twist as well. Delicious, the both of them.

A lovely restaurant, very aesthetically pleasing. The atmosphere is thoroughly Italian, it's friendly and fun. We had a friendly server and ate very well. The service was fast. I particularly recommend the pizzas, which were excellent, and the pasta too, although a little too fatty for our taste!

Really tasty Italien food und the service was perfect

Not related to visit. I was passing by and asked, if I could use their bathroom. The guy at the door said that it’s only for customers, which is fair. Then I asked if I can pay for this, which is quite typical for Amsterdam. He offered me to buy something. I surely agree that main line of business for this place is to serve people food. But selling food to people who just need a bathroom… really? :) I just thought I would post that feedback, as the way how you talk to people who are not (yet) your customers talks a lot about the place. This situation left me with impression that nobody cares much here.

The pizzas were amazing, the salads were ok but they were very accommodating with seating/reservations. Nice atmosphere.

I have had to become 52 years old to eat the best Carbonara of my whole life. To be able to layer the simplicity of this recipe into something so faceted with the pasta perfectly al dente, the guanciale crunchy with roast aromas and the thickness of the egg yolk parmesan base. Unbelievable. Thank you for this experience. I'll never be able to order this anywhere else again I'm afraid..

Warm and welcoming vibe. The Italian staff were genuinely hospitable, full of warmth and energy. We tried a special pizza of the day topped with a blend of cheeses and truffle — it was absolutely delicious, though not listed on the menu.

One of the best Italian places located in Jordaan area. The service is very good and welcoming from the moment you enter till you leave. Menu has some options (not that wide) but everything we ordered was super delicious, rich in flavor and new in taste. I would say the pizza is a bit oily, but totally worth it. They have very wide menu of drinks to choose. We loved the ambient and decoration that makes it super modern

I've tried many Italian restaurants, but I found the best in all of Amsterdam, 100% Italian food. They change the dishes every month; I usually come back every month because it's spectacular. The waiters treat customers extremely respectfully. I recommend trying the spicy salami pizza, the carbonara, and some of the focaccia, because they're all delicious. Order desserts, such as the tiramisu and the afogatto. 100% recommended.

Although we liked the pizzas and other foods, we were disappointed by hospitality. We had reservations but the hostess showed us absolute worse tabe in front of hot oven, that anyone could barely stand 30 seconds, there were three other tables available and two bar seats open but she refused to offer them as they were under “reservations”. Those seats remained empty till end of the night and we waited 20 minutes for another table to become available. She clearly didn’t want to help and her attitude was rude, arrogant and unprofessional.

We were for the first time in this restaurant. We’ve ordered two different pizzas : spicy salami with gorgonzola cheese and prosciutto crudo🍕. There were both delicious, one of the best I’ve ever had . Recommended! Crispy thin crust pizzas with great flavor. We had to wait a bit longer. The wait was worth it and they offered a glass of wine as a reward. Thanks a lot.

We really enjoyed our meal here. While the food and atmosphere were excellent, what really stood out was the wait staff. Everyone was incredibly attentive, friendly and also seemed incredibly happy in their jobs. They made for a fun evening.

Congratulations indeed to a restaurant that offers Italian cuisine and serves true excellence. The choice of dishes is modest. But this is a great advantage because each dish is taken care of in terms of quality and appearance. Fantastic cuisine, location and staff.

Food is bad and the atmosphere is good, nice decor and nice service. Too bad the food (we ordered pasta carbonara) was much too salty, the kitchen indicated that the salty aftertaste came from the cheese, but after an hour we were still thirsty and our teenagers left the food because of the strong salt taste, so we got food elsewhere for the boys, but we just paid for it, it's a shame that the chefs look for excuses when feedback comes, I think it's a tourist area so the owner doesn't really care whether the quality of the food is good. I would order a drink here (€9 per glass of wine for simple house wine, so not necessarily cheap but served in nice glasses) on the terrace outside in nice weather and eat somewhere else.

You imagine yourself in Italy for a moment. Had a lovely lunch with my son. Pizzas were great and we are critical. Lunch concluded with a delicious espresso. I always find it difficult to find a good restaurant in Amsterdam center, fresh, clean and nice menu. This was a really pleasant surprise. We will come by again.

The mortadella pizza was very delicious, and the affogato dessert was excellent as well. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant, and the staff were very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely go there again on my next trip.
