⭐⭐ Disappointing experience We went here for dinner with five people and had high expectations beforehand. The menu featured quite interesting and elaborate dishes, so we were curious about what we would get. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing when it arrived at the table. In reality, the dishes looked very basic and came across as a quick, cold meal from a package. It did not look at all like what you would expect based on the menu. As a result, the food was absolutely not appealing to us, and the price-quality ratio was disappointing. As a group of five, we had expected more. It's a shame, because the dishes on the menu actually looked very promising.

The high rating is unjustified, and the price doesn't match the quality. Our pizzas were okay, but the dough was quite tasteless. The salad was also bland. Some of the dishes and glasses weren't clean. The service was okay, but they forgot one of our pizzas. Overall, not a great experience. The waiter kindly turned the music down, which improved the atmosphere somewhat.

Not worth the cost. I came based off of the reviews but something must have changed. The lasagne may as well have been bought frozen and heated at home. I usually dont have to put salt on my pasta in restaurants but it was needed. And I’ll go for something else to eat later as this €20 dish was not filling.

Ordered the lasagna and ribs. Told the staff we didnt want water but they placed a bottle on the table regardless. We avoided it since we didnt want it. Upon paying for the meal they mentioned that the water was already charged and cannot be returned!! We mentioned not asking for it but with some communication issue it didn’t go our way. All in all, felt cheated here.

My friend had tagliatelle with salmon, but it was completely unnecessary with all the oil; it was inedible. Please don't go here if you're in the area. You're better off just eating sweets. Oh, and another thing: they tried to overcharge me and give me less money. They were really rude and unfriendly. 👿 I was here today. At first, I had to wait too long. Best Italian we have had and we love our Italian food! We ordered Bread Pasta and a meal as well as drinks. The spirits were the biggest pour we have found whilst travelling Holland. The nicest guy who welcomed us and looked after us with drinks and food orders…very quick service with a smile. Cannot rave enough about this place…will definitely be back. Thank you to the chef. Perfection!!! Very reasonably priced too for Central Amsterdam. We were the first ones there early evening on a Sunday and forgot to photograph the food before consuming…needless to say nothing left on the plates 😋

We were looking for a restaurant in town and stumbled upon this cute little Italian restaurant. Not only was the owner very friendly and accommodating, but the food was simply fantastic. Highly recommended! We'll be back.

I ordered spaghetti Bolognese and it was really nothing out of the ordinary. Very little meat, almost no meat at all, more sauce than meat. I wouldn't go back.

Disappointing Experience – mediocre Food and Terrible Service We came in hoping for a nice pizza and pasta meal with family and friends, but the service completely ruined the evening. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like an inconvenience rather than paying customers. Questions were met with outright rude responses,—like asking for extra plates for sharing—felt like asking for a huge favor. The food itself was just okay, but no bowl of pasta or slice of pizza is good enough to justify being treated so disrespectfully. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects its guests. Won't be coming back.

Very nice people, there is always a free spot. Food arrives quickly, it is prepared in a really good Italian style, and the interior is super cozy. I went there for the second time and got a free drink! Truly a top-notch restaurant.

I came in here for a lunch. I just fancied lasagna. The venue was quite quaint inside and felt suitably Italian. The lasagne was very nice and i even had a naughty lunch time wine.

There was a highly-rated restaurant right in front of our accommodation, so we went there. The pasta was incredibly delicious! We ended up going back two days in a row. The steak looks small, but that's because we ordered the 200g portion.

The service was friendly, but I don't understand why people give such high reviews. The pasta “carbonara” was just a kind of cream sauce with diced ham. I mean, anything but carbonara. I can't say anything sensible about the pizza; it was really terrible. We were given “Parmesan cheese” with the pasta, but it was just cheap grated cheese. All in all, friendly people, but the food was truly awful.

One of the most hospitable, most affordable restaurants I’ve been to and their burger oh my God the burger was really, really, really good. I came here in a busy day and this place was really refuge for me from all the noise of kings day! I didn’t expect that vote to be this good but the food honestly was really good and the service was spot on the owner and the servers are so hospitable. It’s a small business family owned feel to it with a lot of local locals that comes here if you want a grapefruit with a chill atmosphere this is your place..

The food had no taste, we never received some dishes, and we didn't even see the color of the knives and forks.

Today me and my family decided to visit this restaurant. From the past I know, scampi it was a fish bites in breadcrumbs, but here it were prawns 🦐. I don't even know how people eat it. I don't know what is eatables, what is not. I looked at it and had to return it. The staff were nice and accepted the plate. The pizza was big enough for 2 people. (Medium) Ice tea was just a bottle of peach flavour ice tea. I thought it will be home made etc. The cola also was just in a bottle. I thought about ice cubes or lemon with it. Irish coffee was ok, nothing special. I still recommend the place.

Excellent food, I came 4 years ago and returned because it's the best in Amsterdam.

I almost feel generous not giving it one star. The welcome from the waitress (manager?) was anything but pleasant. Not a smile and very disrespectful manner (for example, raising her hand to say "not now" when you called her). It was like we were bothering her. The food was very average, to put it mildly. Frozen fries with no sauce (an extra €3.50 😂), luckily there were two nearly empty salt containers on the table. The meat was tasteless and very dry, disguised by barbecue sauce (ribs). The pizzas were nothing special either, and the pasta was the same kind you make at home with cream (but it was still good). Cleanliness definitely needs improvement in some areas. I wondered how this restaurant could be rated, but now I understand. Check out my photos.

There is a quiet atmosphere in the restaurant. You won't find the combination of good value and delicious food anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and pays close attention to what you need. I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.

We went in and there was just us so that could effect our service but we had to walk to the counter to order drinks but the owner is a friendly guy with good humour so that was nice, I had the carbonara which was good and my friend has the minnostroni which had microwave veggies which were still cold , so the service and food were average and the price is not justifiable there was a 8 euro service fee and they charged us for an extra drink.

In times like these i’m sickened to have to provide even 1 star to a restaurant as abrasive and abysmal as San Abrams in Amsterdam. Not only was the only waiter very creepy towards my friend and I he also could not settle for us ordering one meal and tried to use his language barrier as an excuse for adding an extra €20 pasta despite us only only bruschetta’s. This food we had received is a disgrace and embarrassment to Italian cuisine. Under no sense of exaggeration it tasted like readymade pasta from Tesco. While tasting this food I just had to wonder if the chef had watched ratatouille and direly wanted to recreate. That is the only reasoning in my mind for how somebody could shame Italian culture so much through one bruschetta.
