In times like these i’m sickened to have to provide even 1 star to a restaurant as abrasive and abysmal as San Abrams in Amsterdam. Not only was the only waiter very creepy towards my friend and I he also could not settle for us ordering one meal and tried to use his language barrier as an excuse for adding an extra €20 pasta despite us only only bruschetta’s. This food we had received is a disgrace and embarrassment to Italian cuisine. Under no sense of exaggeration it tasted like readymade pasta from Tesco. While tasting this food I just had to wonder if the chef had watched ratatouille and direly wanted to recreate. That is the only reasoning in my mind for how somebody could shame Italian culture so much through one bruschetta.

Very warm and friendly staff who matched the warm and friendly food. Enjoyed a delicious lasagne which was piping hot when it was served. The lasagne had a sweet tomato taste to it, kind of like Heinz tomato soup, with a generous amount of cheese in it. It was a little low on meat content, but I still very much enjoyed it. Portion size was also generous, and the warm bread I had along with it was fresh and complemented the lasagne perfectly. I visited late afternoon/early evening, so it was quiet, but I imagine when it’s peak dinner time it’s lively. I’d happily visit again :)

We were happily surprised at how much we enjoyed our meal here! We had a mozzarella pizza and a side of the mushrooms in a garlic white wine sauce and OMG!! We added the mushrooms to the pizza and the combination was AMAZING!! A must try!!

Very bad choice! Nothing Italian, the pizza and pasta are ruined, you are forced to take a bottle of water for 8 euros, and you are told at the checkout that the service was not included in the price, in short I do not understand why it is well rated, to avoid!

San Abram was amazing!!! Ate here with some friends while visiting Amsterdam and had a magnificent time. The food and drinks were delicious, the music/music video selections were great, and the service was wonderful. Peter took great care of us and everyone was so kind. Will be returning!

We judge Italian restaurants by the quality of their lasagna, our favorite dish. SAN ABRAM is right up there. You will not be disappointed. Peter’s attention and friendliness is wonderful. You can tell he loves what he does. It shows. Seek this place out. It’s the way all restaurants should be modelled. Great service great food. Oh, did I mention value? Terrific value for money. Adequate servings and reasonable prices. It is in every budget. So my friends if you are visiting Amsterdam have lunch or dinner here. Totally recommend it. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

I came from Amersfoort on a friend's recommendation. Upon arrival, Peter immediately seated me, and he served me perfectly all evening. He was professional, and it was clear he's passionate about his work. I ordered a prime rib and a pizza. Both were excellent: the prime rib was perfectly cooked, and the pizza had a crispy crust and plenty of flavor. Definitely worth the price. I'll definitely be back!

I think he's just another Italian in Amsterdam. The unpleasant thing is that, unlike what happened to me in the rest of the Netherlands, they demanded a tip.
