This is the original Kebab place that has been here for 40 years!! As soon as you walk past this restaurant you can smell how authentic it is. The service here is amazing, you can see the staff care about their job and professionalism. I would personally recommend the Kapsalon but any choice you make will definitely leave you impressed.

Bro what the hell. Have you ever had a burger. Destroy that memory, bc you are not going to effing believe this RLD masterpiece. This shi is so much better than any burger you’ve ever had??? I would recommend, highly, that you attend your taste buds to this hole in the wall (pun intended). The bun might be white but the men who are slinging it are tan and they know what they’re about ;). Might as well have red lights in the window bc that shi is nut worthy.

We had a fantastic experience at Bar Baby Grill! The host was incredibly kind, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was excellent—everyone in our group had the shawarma, and we were all very satisfied. The homemade sauces were a real highlight—absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. It was a great spot for our family during the day. While the area might feel a bit sketchy in the evening, our experience was nothing but positive. Highly recommend for anyone looking for flavorful food and warm service!

Other reviewers are right, extremely rude customer service, the worst i’ve encountered. Take your money elsewhere, these people don’t deserve it. It was the ONLY bad experience we had in Amsterdam in a week! It was by the looks of it the only nearly empty place on a SATURDAY night where every other place was packed with people. Most likely because of the very rude oldest man there who seems to be a cook, even before we got to ordering anything he is so obnoxiously rude that it takes away ANY desire to spend any money in this place. Walked straight out after the old man disrespected us, if the service is already like that, i can’t trust their food and standards of hygiene. I have worked in customer service myself for years and im extremely tolerant of snarky behaviour but this was too much. Who does he think he is😂? I regret not saying anything to him directly then and there, i was baffled by the rudeness.

Incredibly rude place and i highly suggest avoiding it if you don’t want to spoil your mood. They sell ice cream but won’t actually let you sit to eat it. When you look at their menu longer than 2 minutes you get a response in a very rude tone “Have you decided yet? No? Then i take your menu and you go have a walk (half of the restaurant was empty so it was not because lack of seating for others). Reading some of the reviews here this isn’t an uncommon experience Do not waste your money where people don’t treat you with respect and manners, an elementary component to any establishment.

That was the worst food I've ever seen and "eaten"... what a shame about the product! The rotisserie looked pretty strange, not exactly fresh. They didn't cut it, though; instead, they used pre-cooked meat from a skewer that came from an aluminum box that was left under a grill without refrigeration. The meat was placed in a pan to heat up and then placed under a salamander. The shawarma was then stuffed into a pita bread with a little lettuce salad (which was already slightly browned). That's it! Absolutely unloving! No tomatoes, other salads, etc. They also gave me two plastic bottles of garlic and chili sauce, which I could open myself. These were ready-made sauces, mayonnaise-style... also unrefrigerated. I tried two bites and then threw the thing in the trash. All for €9.50. I have absolutely no idea where the 4.1-star reviews come from!!!

Actually the most welcoming staff in the last 3 days in Amsterdam. Gf and I came in, sat down, wonderful waiter served us right away. I took the Kip shwarma, which is chicken. The plate was full and fresh, a lot of meat, fries and salad (pic). Nice lighting, lively atmosphere, food OUTSTANDING. 10/10 will return again to try pork

This is one of the worst kebab i have eaten of my life. The french Fries was cold, we could not choose our sauce, the meat is good but you have no choice to have some onions.

Absolutely fantastic! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I was blown away. The food was incredible – the shwarma was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The chicken was crisp and delicious, and the sauces were all homemade and absolutely divine. Emad was brilliant.

The rudest shop I have ever been to, and it was not Karen's Diner. I guess they spit on the food every time they serve. I am not quite sure, why were they in such a rush, as it was neither their closing time nor were the seats occupied completely. When entering we had asked if they had Lamb meat as well as Chicken, they said yes, come inside, sit there. And we sat. Later he says they only have Chicken, and throws out signs to say if we are mad and don't understand what they are talking about. We all ordered Chicken, but later the same guy took orders from another customer for Lamb meat and served them. In such a rush that the person doesn't know how many orders we had given, and later when we asked for the food that didn't come. He says when we had ordered. We ordered when you were busy belittling us, jerk. Such an awful experience. Not recommended at all.

Horrible!!! We visited this restaurant during our trip to Amsterdam. The food was good, but the experience was ruined by some rude staff members. We decided to eat here because one staff member told us they had lamb. But when we ordered, they said lamb was finished and only chicken was available. We went with chicken, but then saw them serving lamb to another table. This felt dishonest and unfair. One staff member, a middle-aged man in a blue shirt, was especially rude. He made us feel unwelcome the entire time. When we finished eating and stood near the door for a moment to decide which way to go, he rudely told us to move, like we were blocking the entry on purpose. The food was nice, but the bad attitude of some staff made the experience disappointing. Not visiting ever again!!!

This would’ve been a one star review but the food was actually pretty delicious. They tried scamming me but I was able to resolve the issue before they charged me. I look at the menu and there is a meat plate with 3 meats on it and the price was 23. I say I want that one. He asks if I want all 3 meats and I say yes and sit down. Then another person rings me up and the total is 70+ euros. I ask why they are gonna charge me so much when the menu says 23. He said because I ordered 3 of them. This is ridiculous as I am just one person so why would I need 3 plates of food for lunch. Then the guy starts getting loud with me asking if I want 3 or 1. I told him I was confused by the question because I want the 3 different meats but I only need one plate. He then keeps repeating 3 meat or 1? 3 meat or 1? At this point I should have just walked away but I was hungry lol. I tell him I just want 1 meat and he charges me 29 euros - I also got a soda water. I sit down not really knowing what was gonna come out. Then the plate comes out and it’s 3 meats exactly like I thought I was ordering in the first place. The food was good but I wouldn’t recommend this place because they tried to scam me.

Be careful dishonest Billing They put €94 on the card machine instead of my €49 bill. Despite pointing out, the staff refused to fix it. Double-check everything if you dare to dine here. This dishonesty completely ruined my experience.

While looking for a place to eat, we saw it by chance and entered the business. The owner is very kind. He brought our daughter something extra, including fried potatoes. Thank you for your hospitality. For those who love lamb, the lamb doner kebab was delicious. My wife and child ate the chicken, they liked it very much. I recommend it ☺️👍

Genuinely very good shwarma (wrap version without fries). Properly salty, properly meaty, perfect salad-meat ratio, don't forget to add sauces as you eat. They look average, but actually contribute to the taste. Taste overall very similar to traditional shwarma they make in Zanzibar Forodhani Market. Many places should learn from this one about cleaning policy.
