Really nice and cosy cafe, good place to drink and eat something while working or just chilling. Loved it ✨️

The cups are super small, not even full, and only with ice. They weigh it themselves so they are 100% sure everyone gets 0.001 liters of drink. For 7 euros??? I've never seen a place so stingy. At first I thought it was the waitress, but this is the umpteenth time!!!

Great cup of coffee. Amsterdam prices. 2 large cappuccinos, a dirty chai and a regular chai average almost €7 per cup.

For takeaway iced drinks (I got the iced latte), they give you a plastic cup. The quality feels quite cheap, but it’s fine since you’re probably going to throw it away anyway. The lid is where I have an issue. There’s almost no room to stir your coffee because the opening for the straw is very tight (see photo). If you try to move the straw around, it starts to soften and the little pointy parts of the opening leave dents in it. I ended up using my finger to make the opening bigger. I’d suggest the owner invest in better lids, because nobody wants a broken straw while drinking their coffee. The coffee (5,70 euros) itself tastes good, though! There’s music playing inside, and it can get pretty loud. If you want to work here, I’d recommend bringing noise-cancelling headphones or earbuds.

Happy to get to know this cafe, it's made and designed beautifully and the coffee is good.

Very tasty cortado and chocolate chip cookies! Friendly staff and plenty of nice seating areas both inside and outside. I used to like the matcha too, but I haven't ordered it for a while because at one point I was served it several times with pre-whipped matcha (I think it's okay with iced matcha when it's busy, but with a hot one, that doesn't taste good in my opinion). I don't know how it is now, but the coffee is top-notch in any case! :)

I ordered a pastrami sandwich that was inedible. It had a very strong mustard flavor, and I couldn't taste the pastrami. It was the first time I'd ever thrown away an entire meal. The cortado coffee was drinkable, but it could have been MUCH better. I was disappointed.

Had a really good tasting coffee and very glad that dogs are allowed outside as well as inside when it gets cold.

I've been coming here since it was the Coffee Company and the chairs are still there... scandalous, because they are falling apart... looks like it's time for new ones, by the way. The coffee is good, but it just seems like there are always too few employees on the floor when it's busy.

If the intense scream you captured on canvas was anxiety directed at the world, the place I visited in Amsterdam held an atmosphere that was the exact opposite. Unlike its name, "Screaming Beans," this place was incredibly peaceful and warm. I am writing this imagining that if you had visited this café, you might have found some peace, even if only for a moment. This place, which I stopped by before going to the Rembrandt House Museum, was charming for its dazzling natural light. Rather than analyzing the taste of the coffee in detail, simply gazing at the sunlight pouring through the large windows filled my heart with fulfillment. The atmosphere, which contrasted so sharply with the café's name, was very impressive. I sincerely hope that wherever you are now, it is a space where you can rest comfortably under the warm sunlight, just like this café. Sincerely, A Traveler in Amsterdam P.S. A great place for breakfast. 🥐 ☕️ Attentive and efficient staff. They know how to make good coffee. The fruit bowls are fantastic. There's a small used bookstore upstairs. I didn't ask, but it might be a bookcrossing point. Downstairs, there are long tables where I saw quite a few people working from home.

Lovely place to have a cup of coffee, with excellent staff behavior, they're very nice and polite, when I went there I ordered a coffee and need to go to the bathroom at the same time, so when I went back she immediately changed my coffee because it's cold ( this behavior is really very rare to see especially in the Most well known coffee shops around the world 5 stars for the service Both the coffee food were good, my only complain is about the place where u have to set, the should add a normal chairs and table like other coffee shops. Nevertheless trust me u won't be disappointed with this place.

The ambience was very chill and this place is very clean. Recommend their chocolate chip cookie. Also the other sweets that they have look really good. I will try the others next time.

Very expensive coffee, and definitely not worth the money, around the same area in Amsterdam there are better shops to get your coffee for less money and better service, avoid when possible (€4,25 for a regular black coffee and €5,- for a cappuccino). Prices are not listed on the main menu overview at the counter, but on a very tiny paper menu next to the cash register (even though they have a huge menu overview behind the counter), you have to wait to get your coffee at the counter, NO service bringing the coffee to your table. Will never go there again, it used to be a Coffee Company location, but they moved out and Screaming beans came in to the location.

a cozy café with a strong identity. The coffee is excellent and very well prepared, and the atmosphere is relaxed and authentic. The staff is friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. A perfect stop after visiting the Waterlooplein market or a quiet place to work.

The large sign only lists the drinks they offer, but no prices. A matcha latte costs €6.65, way too expensive and not even good. My matcha was lukewarm, not hot. At Bagels & Beans across the street, you pay much less, and both the matcha and the coffee are much better.

Walking around we found this cool Coffee place. Excellent service, coffee and banana bread.

A fantastic restaurant! Getting in is quite unusual; you walk through a shipping container 🤗😎. I ordered the cheese board and honestly, I was more than surprised 😍😍. A cozy atmosphere with two cats who sleep more than they bother you 🐾😻

A very cool place, though the middle table and upstairs was largely occupied by people staring at their laptops and working, so it felt like the early days of Internet Cafes all over again 😄 Lots of tasty drink choices and snacks and seating upstairs and downstairs. Also toilets upstairs. Clearly it's a place to do your work, but I enjoyed our time there.

I like to get matcha or coffee from here on the road. If I have work to do, it's usually nice to just sit inside. I think the quality of the coffee and matcha is good compared to Amsterdam as a whole.

I've been drinking coffee at this shop almost every morning for several months since I first started working in the area. The staff never offer me a loyalty card, nor do they encourage me or provide any information. Typically, when drinking tea or coffee in Europe, almost every shop offers a small pastry or biscuit to accompany the hot drink. This shop doesn't offer them, and the prices are quite higher than other shops in the area.

Mango matcha was so bad the worst 7 euros i have spent for a drink. They also squeeze matcha from pre-prepared bottle so it is not even fresh. The atmosphere looked nice maybe the coffees can be tried.

Tried cold brew, tastes more like water with a small drop of coffee in it, rather than a real brew you’d find eg in Wakuli. For 5,15 euro no less.

This place is popular. No wonder why most of the staff are usually grumpy and unaccommodating. As if they just finished from a rave and wanna hang out by themselves&partners. This is not cool, it's unfriendly. As a local I am looking at other options in the area.

After two visits, what stood out the most were not the coffee drinks, but their wonderful chocolate-chip cookies (easily the highlight). The space itself is lovely, with a comfortable co-working vibe. Like many coffee spots, there’s no table service, though here the interaction felt a bit lacking in friendliness (hence my 3-star note on service). The beans are good, yet the coffee itself didn’t impress as much as that unforgettable cookie.

Saw the merch from the street so went in to buy a t shirt and the two guys working there were not at all helpful. My partner sat down to wait for me while I was in line and they were watching her like a hawk because she had a little food bag (that she wasn’t opening) from another coffee shop. Then they wouldn’t help locate a size in the t shirt and were overall weird about it as if they didn’t want to make a sale. Unfortunate because the t shirt design was cool, though the vibes were not

The baristas serve exceptionally good coffee. The interior is a bit sparse, a missed opportunity for a place like Waterlooplein.

I stopped by before going to the Rembrandt House. They had ice cream and the seats were comfortable, so I had a great rest!

I ordered an iced mango matcha coconut milk latte with a cardamon bun. The matcha was VERY refreshing but for matcha enthusiasts, be aware the matcha was pre prepared in a squeeze bottle but I think it stil tasted good. The cardamon bun was very good and they had nice pastries like danish style too. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is incredible. You can sit inside or they have a lot of outdoor tables. Would return here again for sure.

Their iced latte is delicious and I would get it again. Their oat milk latte was pretty good, but nothing special compared to other places we’ve tried in the area. Lattes are also a little more pricey than what we have paid for in Amsterdam. Barista is friendly and this is the perfect place to study or do work. It is very spacious with a wide open concept. There are numerous tables both downstairs and upstairs.

Fine coffee, amsterdam tourist prices, self service but register asks automatically for tips so until they fix that "mistake" i won't recommend.

We had breakfast almost every day we spent in Amsterdam. The coffee and Macha Latte were very good, as were the pastries (especially the leek pastries), the service was friendly and the atmosphere was very calm and welcoming.

I slept in the soft reclined leather chair upstairs for 4 days straight, and no body who works here noticed or were bothered by me

I really love this café and have been to several of your locations—always a great experience. However, during a recent visit to this particular branch, the service felt noticeably off. The server came across as standoffish and slightly rude. Of course, working in retail can be difficult, and we all have tough days, but it was early morning and the tone didn’t match the warm, welcoming vibe we’ve come to appreciate—especially on such a sunny and beautiful day. Unfortunately, the coffee also wasn’t up to the usual standard. We’re still fans of your cafés, but thought it was worth sharing in case it helps improve consistency in the future.

Coffee roastery with a spacious environment and excellent batch brew.

Good cappuccino. The acidic taste of the arabica can be tasted clearly and the milk was not overpowering. The brownie and vegan chocolate chip cookie were also nice. they paired nicely with the coffee. They also organised a cupping event (rsvp required)

Paid €5.14 for a coffee in a paper cup because apparently the ‘dishwasher was broken’. Absolutely shocking that a leading coffee brand can charge full price and serve in a cheap paper cup

Crowded and busy. Nice atmosphere. Many people use this place as their office/study space, Strong delicious cappuccinos. Friendly barista’s doing their best to handle all orders quickly. Do you have a sweet tooth? Then you have to try the orange almond bundt cake.

We have been here several times and every time the flat white had been disappointing. The fact that they put the bags already in the tea making them way too strong is also not helpful. But the final straw was the cappuccino having way too much milk making it effectively hot milk with some coffee.

Stopped here for a quick coffee and snack. No problems at all..Coffee was nice, food was good and the service was great. We we're greeted by a smile and left with a smile. We we're slightly worried that the staff may not speak English...well aint we the daft ones! All staff spoke fluent English and we're very pleasent and helpful.. Recommended to all...

Coffee is ok. Got filter for 4 euro. Vibe is missing something in general, maybe because it’s too close to the market. A lot of people working with laptops. Old lady started to fight with other guest for a seat next to window. Baristas were all nice and helpful. Toilet is on the first floor, up to staircase, not accessible by wheelchair. Need to get a coin on the counter to go there, kinda weird. I’d rather choose something else next time.

Unfortunately it's impossible to sit when having a coffee as the place has been taken over by people working on a laptop and people camping leaving stuff behind to reserve a seat while they're somewhere else making the atmosphere really unpleasant. They should really ban laptops anywhere upstairs and keep an eye on people camping. Sad.
