Really fantastic, such a cozy and welcoming ambiance with really well done food starting even with the warm bread and butter all the way to the canele. The staff was so helpful and personable, and I felt like I was eating at my grandma's house with the classic plateware. The duck liver with apple starter is a must have (if you're lucky enough that they're serving it that night)!

Suzette was a wonderful help with coordinating dinner for my large group of 9, which turned out to be 7 due some last minute cancellations. Her responsiveness leading up to my group dinner was great, and we were lucky enough to have her as our server the night of our dinner. The small personal touches like remembering everyone's name and food allergies truly made it a wonderful experience. On top of the amazing service and atmosphere, the food was fantastic. We ordered a large variety of items from the menu and everyone loved what they ordered. The kitchen is also fairly open so we were able to watch as the chefs prepared food which we enjoyed. Will definitely be back next time I visit Amsterdam. Thank you Suzette!

Fantastic experience, superb food in a very cosy and vibrant restaurant

Been here in July when it was close to 30 degrees and sat nicely outside in the shade enjoying the view and dinner. The restaurant is located near a bridge crossing at the canals. This is one of the few places in Amsterdam where they allow corkage (bring your own) for a charge of €45. The service is implacable and French orientated food was truly delicious. We had foie gras, chicken liver and cote de boeuf. We brought our own wine, which was provided with the correct glasses.

Smooth, sharp operation. Who were flawlessly attuned to each other. The food was tasty & honest. No fuss and what you order is what you get. Nice to see the kitchen live and have contact with the chefs. Who sometimes use a court or ask what the findings are. Initially we found the main course a bit on the small side. But with fries, salad and dessert, we were completely satisfied and everything was to our liking. Good wines & wine advice. It's nice to be able to taste some options before choosing. Nice ambiance and atmosphere! Compliments again :)

Sat outside for cocktails. Ordered drinks and appetisers. Wine and beer delivered promptly. But then we realised they must have forgotten our appetiser order as 20min had gone by. We asked about it, admitting they’d forgotten and they were delivered shortly after. Caramelised onion jam on toast with cheese - delicious. Service was disappointing, not very friendly, inefficient and didn’t check in or ask us if we wanted or needed anything else. It was like the waiter was walking around with blinders on. Perhaps inside the restaurant, when spending more money one would get treated differently.

We recently had a wine and food evening here. Four dishes with 8 matching wines. Interesting combinations and nice company. We will definitely come back on a regular evening for a nice selection of wines.

What an expensive disappointment. The food is delicious all the way through, but our group fully agreed that the main courses on offer were more like the size of a small starter. We are used to some things, but this is not possible. rip off feeling.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. We ordered the venison and sweetbreads, along with two types of croquettes, and almost everything was ruined by excessive salt. The venison was a complete failure—it felt like they just dumped salt on it, blending it with an overly salty jus, and even the vegetables were over-seasoned. There was no balance in flavor, just an overwhelming saltiness that made it impossible to enjoy. The sweetbreads were even worse—cooked in a way that was downright unappetizing. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Service was just as frustrating. Our server ignored us for 30 minutes when we were ready to order, and then later started checking in every 10 minutes, making the experience feel inconsistent and poorly managed.

During our trip to Amsterdam, my friend got sick and fainted, I panicked a lot. This was the closest place, we walked in and I asked if we could sit. They took us downstairs to their cozy area, offered us hot tea and asked if we were okay, it was a very friendly situation. Staff are great! When we come again, we will spend time here with a large group, thank you again.

Lunch on Sunday afternoon. Enter through the basement wine bar, order a drink with chorizo ​​croquette, then continue with lunch at street level. It doesn't matter what you order, but don't forget the canelé with your espresso. All tasty and beautifully served by friendly and professional staff.

Beautiful ! A 10+, what a taste sensation, top wines carefully selected by real wine connoisseur and sommelier Chris in combination with the delicious food. The vegetarian dishes are also so tasty. This is the place to be in Amsterdam, we will be back soon to taste and experience the other dishes. Because that is a real experience: pure and elegant!

Relaxing Wine Bar & Restaurant - Sinck has a dual personality. Upon descending into the establishment you are wrapped in an inviting wine bar with a top notch wine list and sommelier with access to restaurant selections. Ascending the stairs from the wine bar brings you to the inviting restaurant- which includes a chef’s table that we reserved. Last evening included an off menu daily special of some wondrous looking steaks we watched being cooked on a specialized charcoal grill. We enjoyed a fish and vegetarian option. The strawberry desert was noteworthy. We both had the hamachi starter and I added the unique cauliflower starter as well. Will return on our next trip.

Went here based on a Michelin guide recommendation, and it was a great lunch! Service was impeccable, we requested to sit inside and they happily accommodated us. The value is really nice for the level of the food - each dish was unique and beautifully presented. I won't be surprised if this establishment receives a Michelin star in the future. The best meal and service we have had in Amsterdam — by far! We have been here for a week of work and took a couple of extra days to enjoy the city. The service and the recommendations were amazing. The food was delicious. The wine was perfect. The only issue was us: I forgot my purse at home and zero cash on me to leave a tip 🤦🏼‍♀️ Will definitely recommend to anyone and everyone visiting, and will come back when it town!

We visited Sinck last night. When we arrived, it was fairly quiet, so we were taken care of promptly. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, which we appreciated. We started with cheese selection, which was amazing. The starters were decent, but nothing too memorable for us. However, the mains were phenomenal – we had the duck and the monkfish, and both dishes were absolute flavor explosions! The desserts were delicious as well, but again, not as standout as the mains. The wine list is limited but has some nice options, and the menu overall is also on the smaller side. Unfortunately, after 7pm, things slowed down significantly. It became hard to get service, and we waited about 20 minutes just to flag someone down. I understand it was busy, but it seemed like they might have been a bit understaffed. Despite this, the staff remained kind and sympathetic, clearly doing their best in a tough situation. Overall, a good experience with some room for improvement!

Overall service was good and attentive, with great wines and a fantastic location right next to the canal. Food itself was ok, not bad, but not amazing either. The oysters were good and tasted very fresh. Then I got a duck liver for starter and it was tasty, if not a little greasy. Next up was a cote de boeuf for main and the meat was not that flavoursome and a little dry and also cold. What really soured the whole experience though and why we wouldn't return, is being charged for tap water and cost us €15 between six of us. I've lived in Amsterdam for nearly three years now and it is the first time that I've ever been charged for tap water in a restaurant. What makes it worse is when they asked us if we wanted water and we said that table water is fine and they asked us if we wanted still or sparkling as they are both the same and didn't mention anything about being charged for it. It felt very deceitful to be honest, looking back on it afterwards.

Our visit to the Sinck restaurant in Amsterdam, right on a canal, was a real highlight. The charming, rustic restaurant combines tradition and modernity in a wonderful way. The manageable menu offered excellent dishes, the cheese was particularly outstanding. The friendly, attentive staff rounded off the experience perfectly. We were there at Easter and would come back at any time - a clear recommendation!

Delicious food, but I agree with other reviews that it is strange that you have to pay extra for bread and water and salad and fries. In addition, tables of 2 received the same amount of fries and salad as a table of 4. The same for bread. But service was very good and food was delicious

My husband and I were visiting Amsterdam, and decided to celebrate our anniversary here. The food was outstanding, everything was perfect, the service was perfect, friendly, well timed, not too overbearing, not absent, and the vibe was perfect. Our server made a wine suggestion that paired perfectly with my pasta. I am so glad we stopped and would recommend to any lover of food and wine.

It really gave us the nostalgic feeling of sitting at one of my favorite restaurants in Barcelona, Bar Cañete. With a rich blend of creative dishes, a wide range of wine and genuine visible passion of its employees, Sinck gives you the feeling to not even check the time on your watch, but just to enjoy the moment.

I recently dined at Sinck, and while I really wanted to love it, the food just didn’t live up to the rest of the experience. First off, the positives: the wine selection is fantastic. I was really impressed. The service was excellent too; the staff were super nice and attentive. The decoration is lovely, creating a cozy vibe and ambiance that’s perfect for a relaxed evening. Unfortunately, the food missed the mark. The scallops were too salty, the pea-filled ravioli were dry, and the dessert (Eton mess with ground pepper) wasn’t to my liking. On the bright side, the waiter genuinely cared about our feedback and asked us what went wrong with our meal, which I appreciated. I’ll definitely be back for the wine bar experience, but sadly, the food just didn’t do it for me this time around.

We made a reservation for two reasons; One, your winelist is excellent and we were looking for a place that has a good selection of Burgundy's. Sinck hits the mark on that point, excellent wines for reasonable prices. When we entered the premises we were not very warmly greeted, a very small surface posing as a dinner table was prepared for us last minute, barely 20 centimeters away from our neighbouring guests. This was not our idea of a nice night out. Crazy right? So then we asked if we could get a table inside, this request was granted to us with visible and audible disdain. Eventually we sat down. It took far too long to get the attention you would expect newly arriving guests to be given, we did not feel welcome at all. Finally we managed to place our order. One of us is a wine expert and we did not order run of the mill wines. It was at that point that the service pivoted from what I can only describe as 'have your dinner here but dont bother us too much' to 'oh, you are ordering serious wines, let us take you more seriously'. Seriously? In the end we had a great night, the wine was indeed excellent, served at the right temperature. the food was nice too, perhaps the Côte de Boeuf a little on the chewy side, not the best in terms of flavor either, but fine. If you are going to make the effort to serve excellent wines, which clearly you do, and more than passable food, why ruin it with unprofressional, bordering on rude, service? Its a pity, so much potential.

It was the 4th restaurant around the city that we finally got this as all others were fully booked. This was too, as the manager showed us to the basement bar counter, which initially we were a bit reluctant.. however as we were tired from more searching & walking around, we settled with this place. Most amazing food from starters, mains & desserts well recommended by Derrick, our attentive and friendly aspiring sommelier.. check this place out & remeber to make early reservations! Highly recommended. If u r into wine, they have one of the most extensive wine lists in Amsterdam!🍷🥂

I went to sinck as place was introduced to me like a wine bar and a good restaurant. Good was good, like really good! Portions were not big but very delicious sauces and fresh ingredients, so dishes were tasty and with fantastic mix of flavors, loved them. Wine... Not sure, I had a feeling wines were quite overpriced, especially ones sold by bottles. there were some by glasses, a tried one white and one red, wow didn't happen, though were good quality wines. Still give 5 starts to the place but mainly for food. I'd love to get recommendations for wines by glasses, probably, it would have made my experience better but was brought what I asked, so it's on me. :) Service was nice, friendly, attentive. Enough space in between tables though was quite loud from number of people inside.

Fine, delicious, creative and fresh cuisine. Out of spite, we reserved a table at the counter facing the kitchen and what a surprise! A great experience, the cook prepares the plates before your eyes and takes the time to chat with you. The waitress is attentive and gives good wine advice. Best restaurant we've been to in a while!

An amazing evening! The owner, Sabas, made excellent wine recommendations. We sat at the kitchen bar, and the staff were charming and knowledgeable. The evening was unpretentious, delicious, and unforgettable. We let the staff guide our food choices and were not disappointed. Started with the steak tartar, moved onto the Catch of the Day (wolf fish, cooked perfectly) and the melt-in-your-mouth pork cheeks with salad and fries on the side. Finished with a cheese plate and Mille feuille. Reserve your table early, you won't regret it!

Such an amazing restaurant. We had a truly phenomenal meal at Sinck. Farm to table Michelin guide restaurant! A group of 5 of us split many starters and entrees and genuinely everything was fantastic! The scallops are a must try from the starter list and the gnocchi and fish of the day were outstanding. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The atmosphere and presentation was our favorite in all of Amsterdam. The restaurant was full of locals and authentic

I can't say too much about the food, because we only had a drink with the charcuterie board, but I'm already looking forward to coming for dinner: great ambiance, wines and good service. The latter is very scarce in Amsterdam and, in my opinion, deserves a good review in itself. The only thing I found less tasty and appropriate was the smoked beef sausage on the platter, but that did not detract from the overall experience.

Very good French Style cuisine with good fresh products. Had an excellent black cod served directly at the bar which gave us the chance to loof at what was going on in the (open) kitchen. Wine list is simply terrific!
