A nice place for a bite and a drink. Open on Mondays and pleasantly busy on the terrace. Excellent service. The food was good but not quite perfect. A little salt on the fries was missing. Curry a bit watery. Nacho platter 'o lala' was a bit greasy. The food is not very expensive, but the portions you get are small.

It seems as though a new regime has been introduced, with downright racist practices. Previously, we enjoyed coming here and were always welcomed hospitably, but now we were refused entry due to an alleged dress code that was nowhere visible or clearly communicated, even though there were still plenty of seats available. Other guests were admitted, while we were directed to other establishments. The rules were clearly not applied consistently to all guests, for which we were actually refused entry. A very disappointing and discriminatory way of acting.

A special experience! The menu doesn't really reflect what you can expect here. Chef Bram completely surprised us with amazing small dishes to share; highly recommended! From meat and fish to dim sum: everything was perfectly prepared and the presentation left nothing to be desired. A true culinary experience!

Today, we were at St. Tropez with a group of friends. Unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. From the very first moment, the waitress was unfriendly and distant. We ordered four alcoholic drinks. She then asked everyone for identification. Unfortunately, one of our friends did not have her ID with her, after which her order was refused. We understand that in itself, as they have to follow the rules. However, what was totally unacceptable was what happened next. The staff decided to call the police, and my husband even received a one-year ban from the restaurant. This was completely disproportionate to the situation and felt very disrespectful. The service was terrible, and our entire evening was ruined by it. We did not feel welcome at all. We will never return here and, unfortunately, cannot recommend this restaurant.

One lady is not friendly at all. Everyone is over 24 and politely shows their ID, except for one person.

I really like the pleasant, welcoming and peaceful atmosphere; it's perfect for enjoying the terrace with views of Deventer town centre.

What a racist place. I was here last week and only saw the reviews afterwards. We (of Turkish descent) sat down on this terrace. Every few minutes we were asked what we wanted, or if we had made a choice yet… On the one hand this is fine (but actually it came across as very exaggerated and fake). Very strange, because we didn't see this happening around us. The boy with blond (somewhat longer) hair acted condescendingly. We felt very much watched by the staff and you can really see how they treat other “white guests”.

We were here last night and, unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We were denied a spot on the terrace because, according to a staff member, my heavily pregnant friend was wearing flip-flops. When we explained that she is pregnant and her feet are severely swollen due to the pregnancy, there was little understanding shown and the response was rather nonchalant. We got the feeling that selection was based primarily on appearance and the type of guest they wanted to admit. We found this particularly unfortunate and unwelcoming. Precisely because this always seemed like a cozy and accessible terrace, we found this attitude unnecessary. The strict approach was more fitting for an exclusive Michelin-starred restaurant than for an informal terrace. Because of this experience, we will choose the neighboring establishments in the future and will also share our experience with family and friends.

Today, I wanted to sit comfortably on the terrace at St. Tropez with my girlfriend. We normally visit here 2 to 3 times a month. I am heavily pregnant, and due to the 34-degree heat, I was suffering from swollen feet, which is why I was wearing flip-flops. When we wanted to sit down at a table, a waiter approached us to inform us that I was not welcome because of my flip-flops. According to him, these were “shower slides.” We explained that these were not shower slides and that I could not wear any other shoes due to my pregnancy and the heat. Nevertheless, absolutely no understanding was shown regarding this. What made it even more annoying was that there were several other people sitting on the terrace who were also wearing flip-flops. The explanation we received was that this had been a new house rule for about a month. However, the way this was communicated felt unfriendly, disrespectful, and humiliating. I find it very disappointing that so little understanding and humanity was shown for a heavily pregnant woman. As a regular guest, I had expected more customer friendliness and empathy. Because of this experience, I do not feel welcome and will not come back here. It is a shame that a place we enjoyed visiting has left such a negative impression.

I come here quite often. People are always kind and nice. The food is great. The ambiance is great. Last time, someone sneezed towards me, and I wanted to order everything on the menu again, but they didn’t let me pay for it. That was very kind of them.

We were asked what we thought of it every 5 minutes. This didn't happen with the rest of the customers. From the third minute onwards, we started paying attention, actually. Because of this, we felt very pressured. Coincidentally, we were also the only ones with a non-native appearance at that moment. In our opinion, that attracted the employees' attention, and they felt compelled to speak to us more often. The last time they asked, I honestly told them that their chicken burger wasn't tasty and was way too dry. However, I think the person working there found it strange that I was giving my uncensored opinion about it. I won't be coming here again, thanks.

Very disappointed with how we were treated today. What happened was disrespectful and not customer-friendly at all. The attitude of the blond gentleman who was present was truly inappropriate and did not make us feel welcome.

We tried twice tonight to get a spot here, but both times we were immediately told that it was ‘full’. The first time, we were told there was a one-and-a-half-hour wait, but shortly after we left, we saw and heard that several other people without a reservation simply got a table. We tried again later in the evening, and even before anyone looked, we were immediately told that there was no room. What feels particularly unpleasant is that it seems as though guests are treated differently. Other people were able to get in or were given a table, while we were immediately turned away. That gave us a very nasty and excluded feeling. Everyone should be treated equally, regardless of appearance or background. It is a real shame, because because of this, we do not feel welcome here at all.

I always enjoyed visiting St. Tropez and was always satisfied. That is why I find what happened today regrettable. Racist behavior simply has no place. The blonde gentleman who was present today behaved extremely disrespectfully and unprofessionally. A truly disrespectful and unpleasant way of acting. I did not feel welcome at all. If you want to keep customers satisfied, you should seriously address this kind of behavior. Discriminatory behavior has no place anywhere, especially not towards customers.

The food wasn't special, but the sharing platter was really expensive... €35 for 2 people and €70 for 4 people. Well, then you'd really expect something. A few rolls, pieces of cheese, some ham and a few slices of sausage, a small bowl of fried snacks and nachos. And the diet cola... in a glass from a machine... so outdated. Atmosphere and location were fine.

We went here for lunch today. The atmosphere was good, a nice place, and friendly staff. The prices on the menu are already on the high side, for example for tea (the fresh ginger tea with lemon is 4.85 euros!). And sure enough, half a lemon wedge and one shaved piece of ginger in hot water. For lunch, I had the yogurt bowl and the friend I was with had the shrimp burger with fries. The yogurt bowl was served on a nice plate, but it was mainly yogurt. The granola was less than a handful and the fruit was minimal as well. The burger and the fries were fine.

The food was cold and over cooked, and the burger especially disappointing. Don’t go there.

What a beautiful, cozy, and intimate place. The staff were friendly and helpful... a young lady walked ahead to show me the restroom. What a welcoming experience... old-school hospitality... perfected! And then the decor... a real treat... so delightfully colorful... it makes you happy. Without a doubt, this is a place to return to often. CHAPEAU! Oh yes, also very special... while you are sitting on the toilet, you find yourself right in the middle of a French lesson... Dutch/French... Genius!

Had high wine at No. 11 with friends. We arrived half an hour early. Once we were seated, it took at least 20 minutes for someone to show up, which was a shame. (It was very busy, though.) It wasn't entirely clear that we were there for the high wine, because she brought a different menu. No problem, it was resolved promptly. Appetizers were described as finger bites, which they were. We received 5 (very) small appetizers (except for the burger and fries) and three wines. I expected a bit more. The wines were explained, but not the appetizers. That was a shame. I also asked for some bread in between. The designated driver had ordered another drink. We didn't have to pay for this or the bread afterward. Long story short: I expected a bit more from the high wine, but we still had a pleasant afternoon.

We had a delicious meal, were served quickly, and the staff was friendly! Definitely recommended! Also had a very tasty kiwi martini; I had never heard of it before, but was very pleasantly surprised.

A great, relaxed place for drinks, right on the Brink in Deventer. Ruud and the rest of the team create a great atmosphere and are attentive to their guests. We had a wonderful Friday evening!

What a fantastic place! We sat upstairs with our seniors' club in a separate room and were incredibly enthusiastic, friendly, and attentively served by the young staff. The food was also delicious, and the restrooms were nice and, above all, clean. This place is on our list, highly recommended.

It was so much fun to surprise my wife and a friend with a mocktail evening and appetizers. The St. Tropez crew was very helpful! Decorations were ready, they got a great spot in the middle of the restaurant, and the crew knew about the surprise. She came home very excited. Highly recommended!

I find it less inviting after the renovation. I would have left it as it was. The food and service are otherwise good, but it seems noisier than before, which is a shame.

We sat outside on a cold day. They turned on the heaters for our table and we got a blanket to stay warm. We had the fantastic burger and the steak Tatar. Both meals were amazing but the burger won in the best flavour. We also had coffee and the atmosphere is wonderful. This is a must go space for Deventer.

The menu is very difficult to read; it's oddly structured. The ribeye plate is very sparse, with a fairly fatty piece of meat, which, in my case, was cooked well. My wife's was well done, while she ordered medium. The fries that come with it are very small, and I had to order extra. The grand dessert was delicious, but the staff gave me absolutely no explanation of what was in front of me.

What a disappointment. Went to St. Tropez for dinner on recommendation. It was clear they tried too hard to create a southern French atmosphere. The service was semi-friendly and only half-hearted. Unfortunately, the rib-eye steak was cooked well past medium, but thankfully we were given a new one that was cooked better. The dish was relatively small for the price, with a meager portion of fries. The grand dessert was very tasty, though.

We reserved a table today from 6:30 PM. At 9 PM, we were politely but firmly asked to leave, while we were still enjoying a Scrappino. Very rude. We'll never go back.

We sat outside on the heated terrace, the atmosphere was good, but it wasn't busy outside, as it was a weekday.

When we arrived, we walked to our table, but saw our friends, whom we were going to dinner with, already on their way. We went to greet them, whom we had arranged to meet. The gentleman reacted grumpily, making big gestures, and seemed to be arguing with a colleague. Waiting for dinner, we asked for three colas, but we received a zero. The gentleman initially said "coke zero" three times, to which we responded, "Huh, we ordered cola." He corrected himself and said it was regular cola. This wasn't the case. He also commented that zero cola was better for us. The food was cold; the steak was practically rotten. It does look nice inside, though.

A beautiful place with all the potential, but the trend in the hospitality industry is to offer little food for a lot of money. We spent €98, and our burger was literally on our plate without any garnish. And yes, a tiny little box of fries on the side. Food can't be the problem why restaurants charge these prices. I'd happily pay €24 instead of €19 if my plate looks generously filled. Or offer bites so your table is also full of food. Hospitality is about experience. That includes the decor, but certainly also the drinks. This isn't just a problem with this beautiful place. It's a trend that won't have a positive outcome for the hospitality industry. They do have delicious cocktails and very friendly staff.

What a pleasant surprise, this Christmas package from St. Tropez! Delicious dishes to share with matching wines and drinks, all included in the price. The Grand dessert was truly grand 😀. The service was very friendly, cheerful, and attentive. I would definitely book the next package; highly recommended!

St. Tropez was recently renovated. It looks beautiful and has a very atmospheric decor. A children's menu is available.

A waitress named Janine approached us, we asked her to pick up the empty plates because we had already finished eating and needed a place, but she refused to say she would not do it because another girl had not yet finished eating. The question is for you, waitress: what difference does it matter to you whether someone milked or not, why did you leave these plates? The second question is, why did we count 3 bottles of wine if we only drank 2?! We were very frequent your customers, but now there is no desire to visit this institution!

The atmosphere is cozy. The food is decent. If you order a vegetarian poke bowl, it only includes salad and rice. That's really subpar. Otherwise, the dishes are decent but expensive. We were with seven people and sat in the back. The sofa is comfortable, but the tables are too small, and the chairs are uncomfortable. The service is good and fast.

Had a wonderful and delicious experience with the Merry & Magical menu. The French lesson in the restrooms was also fantastic.

Beautiful establishment. No hospitality whatsoever. And this is what hospitality is all about. No chatting with your guests. Cleaning is a priority over the guests. You're not greeted with a "good evening." But what do you expect? You might as well go to McDonald's...it's a shame that hospitality entrepreneurs like these don't understand this business, yet they do know how to impress and make a good living. Such a shame! Do something about it.

Unfortunately, only one star. I've been there twice. The first time with two friends just for drinks. The waiter was quite arrogant and pushy and kept asking if we wanted something to eat. That didn't feel very customer-friendly. The second time was today. I went with my in-laws for drinks and ordered some snacks. Unfortunately, the snacks didn't arrive for almost 30 minutes. That was a shame, and after we mentioned it, the response was quite unfriendly. The waitress said she didn't appreciate our tone. We apologized, but it's a bit strange that you're not allowed to criticize. She also asked if we wanted extra drinks, thinking we'd get them for free, but they didn't. There's absolutely no approachability or customer service here. That's a real shame.

I just put the menu back on the table. The staff immediately grabbed it and put it back in a particular position. It was a fan, so they wanted it fanned out. Fine, but don't do that when we, their guests, are still at the table. I ordered apple pie with whipped cream. It was very tasty, but I find the price of "apple pie" a bit steep, as it looked more like applesauce in an aluminum container. The whipped cream ran out in no time.

The chef's surprise menu was delicious, and the service was good. When they saw that my mother needed a walker, they immediately found a suitable seating option.

A lot of money for mediocre food. For 50 euros, we had two chicken satay skewers, a 75-gram piece of pork belly, a small portion of fries, a small bowl of salad, and two soft drinks from the shared dining menu. We left hungry.

It's ridiculous that I get the same fries twice at different prices. And it's worth it, too. (The smallest portion of fries I've ever seen for five or six euros, depending on whether they select French fries or fries, same size, same flavor, different prices.) It was tasty, but it makes no sense. How can you sell the same fries under two different names/prices? I've never been so surprised. Otherwise, the drinks were fine, though there was a lot of ice. The service was a bit confusing at times, but it was fine (just as soon as we ordered, someone came by to ask if we wanted anything). All in all, a good experience, but the fries are a bit of a scam.

We wanted to eat here, ordered a beer, and spent 45 minutes trying to get the waiter's attention for a bite to eat. We asked four different waiters, each time promising someone else would come, but they never did. Finally, we asked for the bill, which also took a long time. The beer was good, but not special enough to warrant a return visit.

I went there for the first time ten years ago with what turned out to be my wife. And we still see the same people we saw back then. The team that works there is always friendly and they know their job well. We love coming here, especially the terrace with the heaters is highly recommended.

There was a nice round table in the corner at the back, which we were able to sit at. We had a delicious lunch with a beer. It was busy, but you still had a comfortable seat at your table, without being bothered by other people. The decor is beautiful and the atmosphere is pleasant.

I made a reservation online and added a note that I was bringing a birthday boy or girl. Upon arrival, the birthday boy or girl was congratulated. There was a handwritten card with congratulations, a balloon, and a ribbon on the table. With our first drink, they brought an ice fountain. What a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, and the service was incredibly attentive and friendly. We had a fantastic evening and will definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I went here, and right from the start, the service was fantastic, and the lounge/restaurant looked beautiful and atmospheric—everything was perfect! The food was also delicious! Today I celebrated my birthday at St. Tropez Gastrolounge in Deventer – what an experience! From the moment I arrived, everything was perfectly taken care of: the reserved table was decorated with an orange balloon (my favorite color!), a greeting card, and a long orange ribbon diagonally across the table. A beautiful and heartwarming gesture from the hospitable staff. To my surprise, the first drink was served with a burning star – a festive detail that immediately made the evening special. The food and drinks were excellent, and what immediately struck us was the staff's exceptional friendliness and customer focus. The price-quality ratio is excellent, and the atmosphere and new decor complete the picture. In short: a fantastic experience – warm, tasteful, and stylish! 🎉

The food was fine, but not what it used to be. The atmosphere was very loud, and the acoustics made it quite shrill (we were with young people, and they felt the same way).

I had a great meal. The carpaccio was excellent, and they were quick. I had a prawn burger for my main course, which was a bit of a disappointment. It was a fried item with some shrimp in it. But when I think of a burger, it's grilled. And that was a shame. Friendly service, and otherwise a very nice place. Definitely worth a visit. I didn't take a picture of the front because it was raining heavily and I still had to get to the station.

It was very nice to have dinner with all the colleagues.
