SUPPER Intimate in Grachtengordel-Zuid

We went there with the intention of having some cocktails, when I made the reservation I was told that there is food and with a couple of options for a tasting menu which we took(and gladly chose the cheaper one). There is a show they do while you're being served the food which is good is an entertaining show with different acts, dancing, singing, etc so that's very enjoyable. The food is where they lack a lot in my opinion, I'm posting a picture of the options we had, the starter was good we liked it it was a burrata cheese with tomatoes and basil, pretty standard caprese starter, we chose the scallops and the Thai beef salad for second course the scallops lacked seasoning and flavour, the beef salas was really good, for the main course we did the catch of the day and the sous vide chicken both pretty flavourless as well no seasoning, both accompanied by some sauces that also lack depth of flavour so they didn't help with it and for desserts we went with one of each, the cheesecake was normal it wasn't bad but I have had better cheesecakes from supermarkets same for the parfait. The cocktails were ok as well. The service from the waitresses is really good and they pay very good attention to detail it's just a pity that the food doesn't have that quality. I feel like they want to use fancy equipment and techniques but they are not properly implemented and you can have as many fancy things as you want but if the food is not seasoned and you put enough flavour into things that won't matter.

The bartender was incredibly nice, and I cannot stress how sad I am that I won’t be able to order a Dot Dot Dot when I leave Amsterdam. Didn’t think anyone could improve a drink I already love. But I’m glad I was wrong. Definitely recommend. Cute interior. Loved the music. Friendly staff. And did I mention the yummy cocktails? 😍

I expect more from this place to be honest. Prices on cocktails are ok but after you try them you understand why. It feels like they use cheap ingredients and don’t invest much in the presentation. You can still get drunk from those cocktails but you won’t really enjoy the taste. My friends started ordering simple Chardonnay because even it tasted better than most of the cocktails. Service doesn’t care much about you, we had a reservation for 4 people and staff asked to move 2 tables together ourselves. Can’t recommend it, unfortunately.

Been 2/25/2023. We stood in front of the door with 2 ladies. They didn't have a code, so they didn't had a reservation. Despite, the doorman immediately offered them 2 seats but was corrected by the bartender as we did have a code and thus made a reservation. They were the last 2 spots at the bar. Unfortunately he immediately said to the ladies, "but you get a much nicer table". Ok, access codes, reservations are not so important here if the doorman likes your looks. Bartender Yuri, potential gold!!! What a nice, amiable bartender. Makes contact easily, understands that bartending is more than making a drink. It's hard not to like him. Why no gold yet. Cocktail knowledge .... if you make a French 75 as a kind of acidified Kir Royal, in a coupe ...... just like Moroccan tea pourers let the champagne splash from a height into the glass. Then you make a bad drink. And then I'm not even talking about the half lemon that hung on the glass as a garnish. The lady next to me already had the idea that this was a strange variant of a French 75 she got. I indicated that the most common version was kind of a mini gin sour filled with Champagne. Once they used grenadine, but in a very different way and with completely different ingredients than in this cocktail. So dive into the books, study, work neatly in the glass, not next to it, then Yuri is worth gold as a bartender. The other bartender..... well he didn't even know how to make a Dry Martini. Then you are quickly done for now. Nice music, so if the drinks are taken far more seriously this is a nice bar with a young crowd and good music. Till then, not for us anymore.

Expensive overrated cocktails. You can then have a snack pairing with the cocktail, but you will only receive the food when your cocktail is almost finished. On top of that, a pairing never happened in the first place. Really not worth the time and effort.

Really good concept would definitely come back when everything is more settled

Took us 45 minutes to get the food and we got very little care from the staff. I would recommend for a quick drink.

Loved the hidden bar idea, the cocktail card was nice, with a lot of choices from significant cocktails to classics. The interior is classic and pretty, loved the hip hop music playing, though the video on projector wasn’t really syncing with the music :) The barman was really friendly and pleasant, we had a nice conversation. Would definitely come there again!

Lovely, vivid cocktailbar. Was there on a Friday excellent cocktails ( had to wait a bit longer then I'm used to but was worth waiting), nice old school music from my younger years and mixed crowd of young and old. Will definitely come back when I'm in Amsterdam

Excellent place with stunning cocktails. A variety from original and bespoke made cocktails are the perfect blend. Cozy, intimate and hidden away from the outside. Before you enter be sure you have the right entrance code to get in the bar and you're all set. Have fun!

Gisteren voor het eerst naar de cocktailbar geweest en wauw.. op loop afstand een cocktail bar met klasse. Rust en sexy. Lekker privé.

You need to text them to get a code, to access the booking website. Cocktails are served with paring bites. I really liked the cocktails and the bites. However, we were there when the place just opened and it was still in the process of building the atmosphere and the team. The concept is good, I'd love to try it again in a few months.

Heel fijn verblijf gehad! Locatie is ook top. Alles op loopafstand. Heel vriendelijk & behulpzaam personeel. Wij vonden de cocktailbar ook verassend leuk, absoluut de moeite waard om een drankje te doen!
