Very cool and classy place! The rooftop bar has a beautiful view, a relaxed atmosphere, and very comfortable seating. Great music as well. The service was truly first-class. Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. A big shout-out to Ximena, who greeted me so warmly. She speaks several languages effortlessly (German, English, Spanish, and maybe more) and was incredibly charming and kind. Thanks also to Cesar for the excellent drink service and his great attitude. The entire team is very attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. I’ve visited multiple times and have always been treated wonderfully — especially by Ximena. Be aware that during private events or weekend evenings they might be fully booked or give priority to hotel guests, which is completely understandable. I also failed a few times to access the sauna or sit down to work in the restaurant or bar because of that. Still, the drinks are great, the music is chill, the atmosphere is lovely, and everything feels easy and enjoyable. I didn’t try the food yet… but I’ll be back! 🙂

Nice view, very cozy with the fireplace. Attentive service and nice cocktails. Food was also good, but it’s not very convenient to eat on those small tables. The dishes they offer are more like share dining style, which would be much comfortable to eat on a proper table.

We only had drinks here, so can't comment on food. However, the space was vast with plenty of areas for couples and small groups to gather. The music wasn't too loud so we were able to hold a normal conversation. The views from the patio are great. It was windy and raining during our time there but we popped out for pictures.

I went here for an aperitivo with some friends. It's a nice place, the waiters were friendly enough, but what really bothered me was the girl at the entrance. She was rude to us, not smiling at all, and was almost servile; it almost seemed like she was annoyed that we were there. To make matters worse, when we left, there were other customers in front of us, and she smiled at them and said goodbye. As soon as we walked past, she looked at us suspiciously, not even saying a word. I was very disappointed with this behavior, and it made me absolutely not want to return.

We arrived at this restaurant's terrace around 6:00 PM. At the entrance, there's a sign welcoming customers, telling them to wait before being seated. The person in charge of reception seats the customers who arrived before us, telling us she'd be right back to us. Meanwhile, at least 15 people arrive, rudely not waiting their turn but approaching the tables. The person in charge of reception, instead of pointing out that we were there first, seats them without a problem. We, being poor people, continue to wait, so when everyone who passed us in line is finished, the person in charge tells us there are no more tables outside! Terrible and unspeakable treatment. Naturally, we left, also because eating inside would have made no sense.

Eventhough the setting is really great but the service was awful. Be careful and look at the bill before paying, we were wrongfully charged one extra beer, when I explained the situation to one of the waiters, he said "I asked the bar and they said you had one extra beer so I don't know who is right and who is wrong". After a lot of back and forth they gave me a coupon for 2 drinks that expires in 3 days lol.

Excellent customer service! I was in urgent need of a charger and Daniel went out of his way to help me. He was very kind, professional, and made my experience so much easier. Truly appreciate his support!

Been in the roof top bar: good Spot (in this evening a little bit windy). Good View as Close to nieuwe kerk. Cocktails are mit cheap.

David, the manager, has an incredible atmosphere and service. 100% recommended. If you come, ask for David, who will explain everything you need to know about cocktails and Amsterdam. And the waitress, Urte, provides fantastic service!

As other reveiws have said the service is appauling, and you really dont feel welcome. We where sent elsewhere saying we came to the wrong place just to be sent back. I would not recommend this to anyone at all unfortunatley. The price doesn't match the service you are given what so ever.

I have never had such displeasure speaking to the front desk and attendants of the pool. I had made a reservation, showed it to them and they first said it was for the lounge, and that it was not a viable reservation. Upon showing them that I had booked the correct way, which they agreed with, they then said I had not paid in advance, switching their story from what they first said. They stated that we had not paid in advance to reserve seats at the pool (of which it never said anywhere on the website that we had to) and therefore we did not have a booking, despite the fact I could modify and cancel the booking through my email. My friends and I have flown halfway across the world and have never been so disappointed in a company’s service. We are beyond let down

Google does not allow me to give 0 stars because otherwise I would have done so. We reserved for the pool and, despite receiving the confirmation email, they told us they were overbooked and that our reservation was not valid.

During my visit to the W Lounge, I was given an incredibly warm welcome by the host. He was not only hospitable, but also genuinely friendly and attentive. Ghaim made me feel welcome right away. He took his time, paid attention to detail, and his warm, positive energy really stood out. You don’t get that kind of service very often. Thanks to Ghaim, my visit to the W Lounge felt like a luxury experience with a personal touch. His dedication and customer-focused attitude deserve all the appreciation. Thank you, I will definitely be back soon!

The atmosphere is really nice and so is the service. The prices are also great. But it’s hard to understand why we had to sit on a stool. If you’re seated by the window, one person always ends up on a stool and it’s nearly impossible to sit comfortably for more than half an hour

The lounge is located on the 6th floor of the W Hotel and can be reached by elevator. The south-facing terrace in front of the desk is very narrow and doesn't offer a particularly good view. The bar in the interior, accessible to hotel guests, is very stylish. There's even a small pool. However, the doorman isn't so easy to let you in. We waited a long time for our expensive drinks and had to ask for the bill three times. All in all, overrated...

If you aren’t a guest you will be seated inside in a corner, just to be ignored for 20 minutes waiting for mediocre drinks that are $20 each. Don’t waste your time and go to any other cocktail bar in the city. View isn’t worth the terrible service.

Fancy, super goos vibes, like my third home(not that I'm every day here but sometimes I really randomly pass by and view the sunset, make a lovely video, having camomile tea, great shots, super chill dj, staff is very friendly that I don't want to go home anymore ☺️ Guys you are all stunning in this vibrant Amsterdam and definitely first of all a super good health and a clever heart like always. Cocktails for such a bar could have been way better. The best thing is the view during summertime. Rest is quite mediocre for such a great location.

Well the place is really beautiful but the service is very poor. The waitress that took our order was horrible rude. Very disappointed. They should learn how to treat their guests better.

Went here on a Tuesday night for a colleague's farewell event and was greeted by the loveliest staff. They were very accommodating and we were seated in a very comfortable corner with access to the terrace.

Good space and a good view! Very very slow service. Visited several times during our stay at different times of the day. Took 20minutes to order a sparkling water and 15 minutes to order a coffee! Don’t be in a rush!

Great rooftop bar with nice service

Super rooftop €18 per cocktail is reasonable for this standing I recommend, plus all the waiters are super friendly!! Little special mention for electronic house music inside, great playlist!!

Acces denied this evening at 6pm cause my small dog is not a service dog, was not my first time here in the lounge, also stayed here before in the hotel with my dog and never got denied any service before hotel or lounge. Just wanted to have a drink now but the Spanish girl said from now on only serviced animals that it was written in the new rules outside. Not written anywhere, see photo. Thanks W never will be here again. Hire better staff!

For all gold and bling - you end up sitting at some knee high table on a windowsill, or mediocre sofa. Service perhaps is fine but menu qr code doesn’t allow you to order so you spend part of evening chasing the staff and communicating your order… Prices are fine, music is ok, and atmosphere is acceptable. Hard to understand what exactly vibe was the place going for- up market glam-6th floor-reservations only, or some low key-sit with your coat on a back of the chair/lie on sofa near fireplace kind…

If it's not too crowded, it's very relaxed.

Had to wait outside for half an hour because it was supposed to be busy. Once inside it was very quiet so very strange. We waited a long time for service to come so we finally left. Still 3 stars because you can sit here in the afternoon.

Probably one of the most overrated place you can imagine... It all starts with the lady at the desk that seems annoyed to be there and to make you favor to look for a table in a lounge clearly mostly empty - you get the tone... The cocktail menu is very champagne oriented, but the result is not very sparkling and bubbly on the tongue : veuve cliquot could be better used... The finger food choice is limited to say the least...the execution is pretty poor and the service indigent : 15 minutes waiting time for fries with a so called basil aioli that came almost cold with a little greenish mayo is what we got there... In short you can be pretentious, but you need to back it up...here there is nothing to justify the hype of the place...

Null ! Null ! Null ! 1 hour to have a foccacia, resulting in a ridiculous piece of bread. Cocktails at €18 It plays the creativity card but in the end, it’s disgusting.

If you want have cold toilet , waiting your simple order 20 min after 2 times reminding , have spicy small salad when you ask NOT spice and pay for that arm and leg , let’s have lunch here. Great place but service is terrible.

The view and equipment of the bar are appropriate for a sky lounge. However, service can be improved very much! Waited over 15 minutes just to order despite multiple instructions.

I had the whiskey raspberry drink (that I forgot the name of), which was decent but rather strong. The music was too loud for a place that's decorated towards chill conversation and not a club. The view was basically a big street and a church, and a bit dark at night.

Nice and cozy lounge bar. What I found strange is that if a bottle of champagne is ordered for more than 500 euros, you have to top it up yourself when your glass is empty. In my opinion, management should keep an eye on this and take care of the top-up.

Had 2 espresso martini each. Had them not make it sweet and was perfect. Great views and the bathroom is like a club!

The rooftop is in the heart center of Amsterdam. It depends on where you sit to enjoy a view. I have to say it’s not the best choice to go for but still it’s accessible if you want something central. Seating areas are very tiny and not ideal for a group. Plus they’re not comfortable. The had good options for cocktails and drinks and they were good in taste. Staff are helpful and nice

Despite having over 6 staff working, the service was extremely slow and very unprofessional. They forgot part of our order and also couldn’t find our table order when we tried to pay at the counter. Expected much more for the prices and amount of stars of this hotel.

Place is great, service is good, the girl floor host tho needs some customer service classes because she lacks friendliness, made me feel like i was an unwelcomed guest in her house. The waitresses are lovely tho, Flor and the rest of the ladies :).

I phoned to re-confirm my reservation today, and was confirmed at 3:30 that my reservation is still on the book, and to just come as planned. Got at the W Lounge, was told that our reservation was non existent, everything was booked for a private party, in a very rude manner. No apologies or anything. Would appreciate better hospitality for the inconvenience.

You are definitely paying for the view which is great. You can see all over the city in every direction. The drinks were unfortunately pretty weak for $18 each. I wanted to give it a second chance but we never had the opportunity to order a second drink after sitting for a long time. Maybe the trick is to stay away from the special drinks and order off the every day menu? I will try it again in the future and update my review if it’s better.

If you want your drink to be served to your whole body, you are in the right place. Priority is not you, you are not even offered a single napkin to clean your clothes, yet they "kindly" ask if we want to pay for the drink that showered us! Terrible crisis management, slow service, coffee shower thanks!

We left because we were not helped further after we had been given a spot. It was very quiet, so that couldn't have been the cause.

Waiters here are friendly and nice but it’s very very slow service that I was shocked. I had to try to get a waiter to order very hard. And after I ordered a drink,I had to wait to get it around 10 minutes which I don’t understand because it’s not a special drink or something. Me personally, I don’t like this bar that much.

Absolutely amazing rooftop bar very close to Amsterdam Centraal station and with good views and lovely drinks. Great place to go with friends and just chill or catch up. There is also a rooftop pool, hence the rooftop bar is called Wet.

Food was OK, service was nice (took some time untill we got to order). Vibe was amazing, great view of the city centre from an amazing rooftop bar. Be aware, we did not check the wine menu and asked for a merlot and a White wine price in Total €30,-

I had made a reservation here with the request to sit by the pool, or at least in a place with a view of the pool. However, upon arrival we were told that it was currently full there and that we would be placed somewhere else and then allowed to sit there. We had to wait 40 minutes after arrival. If it were up to the employees, they would continue to ignore us because we tried to get their attention several times but to no avail. Then we were able to get the attention of an employee who reluctantly helped us. We were transferred to a place that was not at all to our liking. The service here was also very poor. It seemed like everyone was working here against their will. The atmosphere and drinks were good, but the service could really be much better. Very disappointing experience unfortunately.

Was here twice in a week. First day slow service and dont keep track of reservation. Second time we came a Friday night one hour before hour reservation. Apparently they have an event and forgot to mention. So we got one drink and suddenly got indirectly kicked out? No heads up last round of drinks or nothing and I wanted to celebrate a special day with my wife. I just cancelled a signing dinner with 20pax at mr porters because of this. Poor service never experienced stuff like this before. 💵💵💵💋

Avoid this place at all costs. The service is atrocious. For our 24th Wedding Anniversary, we chose this place, hoping for a special evening. Instead, we ended up paying 35€ for 2 drinks that took 49 minutes to arrive. We had to ask for straws and wait even longer. I eventually had to get up and fetch them myself while the server chatted at the bar. When I complained to the manager, they offered 2 free glasses of Prosecco, but by then, our night was ruined, and we just wanted to leave.

This is a really nice place to view Amsterdam from a height! The whole immediately looks very luxurious and stylish. It is a wonderful lounge area to chill out for a while. The prices are high, but that's what you get for it. Points of attention: service clothing: what a big difference between very stylish and unkempt service staff. (Dirty sneakers, washed out T-shirts, etc.). Wateren is very atmospheric because you are immediately served something tasty from home with your drink.

Really bad. Expensive cocktails in plastic glasses, staff completely forgot about us multiple times.

An elitist place - in the worst way possible… not only did the staff downstairs at the entrance make sure to tell us this is a ‘5 star hotel’ so we can’t be waiting around outside (even though we were customers?) but apparently we must sit on the most uncomfortable, low stools for the whole time we’re at W lounge. Apparently even if you spend 3 hours there, spend 150 euros, you’re not worth a comfortable chair. When I expressed this discomfort, the man at reception said “aw, she’s angry at me”.
