The food here is always super tasty and of good quality. Have been eating here regularly for more than 25 years. It's not pleasant, you only come here to eat, you have to hang up the streamers yourself.

What a rude Chinese woman. bah, the only thing they are interested in is the money. They brought cold food and you have to eat quickly because other customers are waiting. The Chinese woman is very rude when you pay. Look carefully because they can make mistakes. I heard a lot of good things about this place, but for me it was a very big disappointment. I wanted to give them a 0 strong, but that was possible, so I gave them a 1. I also told that woman I will never come again and she said don't give up. Maybe she was on her period. dawn she was so rude.

I wanted to go to the toilet alone with my mother and I paid €4 for that?! Ridiculously expensive to go to the toilet alone. Then I would be better off going to McDonald's to use the toilet where it is also cleaned and cheaper... I can get a whole McDonald's for 4 euros.

Albina is my favorite takeaway address for authentic Chinese-Surinamese food in Amsterdam. My absolute recommendation is the tjap tjoy with beef – wonderfully fresh, crispy vegetables and tender meat, just as it should be. What really sets Albina apart is the no-nonsense style: pure takeaway food without fuss, but with taste and quality. You order, pick it up quickly, and enjoy a delicious meal at home. The service is very friendly and efficient, so you never have to wait long. In addition, the prices are accessible to everyone. For a generous portion of tjap tjoy with beef you pay around €12.50. Other popular takeaway dishes, such as moksi meti, range from €13.00 - €15.00, and a well-filled roti dish costs around €10.00 - €12.50. In short, if you are looking for tasty, fresh and affordable takeaway food, Albina is the place!

The meal is quite large, with a lot of meat. If you can't finish it, you can take it away for a 0.5 euro meal box fee. I ordered fried noodles with chicken, barbecued pork and bacon. The large portion was 12 euros and the beer was 3.5 euros. Add a little chili oil on the table to make it more delicious😋

I think your review of this restaurant is really dependent on if you are used to eating Dutch food regularly. If that's the case, this place gets 5 stars. Otherwise, just go get real Chinese food. Or African food. The food here is quite underwhelming.

Not sure on the Surinamese food factor... What Ordered the beans and meat and also Bami with roasted meats. The beans and meat was quite a surprise to me as they put chinese Char Siu into this dish. Definitely a new innovation. The Bami with roasted meat was also not what I expected. Overall it was good but not sure the mix of cuisine it is. Definitely big portion and worth for a great deal, but I am leaning more towards this being good for chinese food. Environment Quite big space inside for sitting and eating. Very casual place. Niceness of the staff Very homey and nice staff that are always available to tend to you. Dollar Very worth the money. Portions are big so they are very filling! Yes If I want some chinese food definitely!

We went to this place for dinner. It is a simple place and the food is excellent. We tried a few dishes and everything tasted great. The ladies working there are super nice!

The place has a great deal of variety in foods. I don’t have much more experience in Surinamese food. Noodle’s mixture of taste is great. Chicken satay and porks are also high quality. I don’t like duck much, but pork is absolutely enjoyable. I think a glass of tap water should be served free of charge in the restaurant.

Very good but very pricey! And if you spend more than €150, I have a hard time with 20 cents per container, that's way too much!

Very tasty food, we couldn't even finish everything, but luckily we were able to take some with us. Waiting time wasn't that long, nice waitress, nice atmosphere. Lots of choice on the menu! I'm from the east of the country and will definitely eat there again when I'm back in Amsterdam.

If you're looking for a low key spot for some good no frills food, this is it. Incredibly friendly staff and good food both in taste and portions. Atmosphere is a bit odd but that kind of adds to the experience

Ordered on the website for self pick up. Super efficient and the dishes are all delicious which reminds me home.. The auntie at the counter is also smiley and welcoming. Will def come back to try more dishes on the menu.

As Hagenees, what a k#nk#h company this has become. I have been a regular customer for 15 years and come all the way from The Hague to get food here. Today there was young fl##rm#is vr#t#r (mutual treatment) super rude. Today I ordered over €100, but when I picked it up, I was treated very rudely, even though I asked for pepper as standard. From always being treated in a customer-friendly manner, to now being treated as an inferior human being. Are we in Amsterdam or somewhere where you are treated like a third class citizen? Obviously, the food has deteriorated (objectively), the reason I want extra pepper is to make it more flavorful. No, never again for me. If you like being treated rudely, then you've come to the right place. In addition, you should also have enough 5 spices at home, so that you can give the food more flavor. INCREDIBLE! By the way, remove the word Surinamese from your description. Surinamese, stands for something that you apparently cannot radiate.

Feels like home, the soups were incredible! And the mains were great. Went with a friend and we wanted to share and they provided extra plates and bowls to help. Also they have a great English menu.

I have been coming to Albina for many years and have always eaten well there. The staff was always very friendly, which was really nice. Unfortunately, my experiences lately have been far from that. Went again today (now for the last time) but I decided to get something else somewhere, because certain staff members walk around with a sullen and disinterested look as if they HATE everything that is happening around them. There was a customer in front of me who was helped and then he just stood there rinsing glasses... Without batting an eyelid. I have seen before that certain people have no catering experience and no service-oriented attitude.... Unfortunately this was my last visit, I will not be missed. I have now read a number of reviews and it turns out that I am not the only (regularly returning customer) with this experience and apparently about the same employee But very unfortunate.

Not what it used to be. Treated downright rude by a thin gentleman. I have read other reviews and there are more problems with this gentleman, such a shame because customers are walking away. We came there for over 25 years, off and on, but never again after this experience.

Just imagine your in a colourful restaurant until the dishes are served. And that's rather quick, then the tastes speaks for itself, common and fine. You feel like home. Don't cry, dry your eye. And what's to much you can take it with you by yourself.

I have been coming here to this Surinamese-Chinese eatery for some 30 years already and always order their "Tjauw min moksi meti speciaal" (= Chow mein with the full works: Chinese sausage, grilled crispy pork belly, sweet red-roasted pork shoulder, and oven-baked chicken). It's one of the best versions of chow mein I've had in The Netherlands, if not the best! Highly recommended!

Al tientallen jaren een goede plek om te eten en de Surinaamse keuken te leren kennen. Echt een aanrader voor de liefhebber. Eerst rondje Albert Cuyp ( nu helaas erg toeristisch ingericht en bloedduur) en dan lekker eten in dit eenvoudig gebleven lekkernijen restaurant .
