Very tasty and cozy, and Akasch was really nice! Enjoyed eating it in the sunshine :)

I do see a difference in the service from the previous owner and now, and the prices are expensive. I got really little chicken that cost 8.50; it felt a bit weird to me, but the food is tasty.

You really have to try the chicken roti roll and that pandan drink. Very friendly service. Your day is complete!!

I think the place has a different owner. Online I see all kinds of different food etc. than in the shop itself. There is a lady behind the scenes who is nice, don't get me wrong, but it is misleading. There was a different shop there with a different name. I was served cold chicken pieces and I asked if they could be warm. Then I received a lamb sandwich that fell apart in a bag. I had to pick the sandwich back together. I then made a comment about this, and she took it and served me the same sandwich again, but this time in a cardboard container. The chicken curry didn't taste great, and the lamb on its own was okay. A real shame.

This was my first experience with Surinamese cuisine. The lady behind the counter told me to choose rice or noodles, three vegetable sides, and meat or fish. I ordered the rice (fluffy and deliciously seasoned with brown spices), tempeh in a sweet sauce, and salted cod, with Surinamese lemonades (pineapple and cherry Fernandes) to wash it down. Finally, I was treated to jalebi and bought a piece of Dutch and Indonesian-style cake to take away. I really enjoyed it. I understand that this is primarily a takeaway place, so there's not much room to sit down, and for me, the downside was the lack of a restroom and the lack of an English menu. But of course, you can always communicate, even though I'm curious and love reading menus.

Delicious Surinamese sandwiches and filled bara at a competitive price. I would definitely recommend coming here - the service is friendly, portions are affordable, and the food is delicious!!!

A centrally located place where you can enjoy a delicious meal. It's more of a takeout restaurant since there are no tables or anything. Delicious sandwiches and larger dishes. Friendly staff. Great!

It's authentic and delicious! Everything is freshly made, so it's only available when it's gone. It's the only one there, so you'll need to be patient.👌🏻

Five stars is still not enough to describe the best roti in Amsterdam. The owner is so sweet and doesn't hold back on portions. The food is full of flavour and the price for the amount of food is phenomenal. Roti is my favourite dish and I have always been on the hunt for the best roti until I found this almost secret spot. Now every time I order takeout, it is roti, and it is always here. 11/10, Highly recommend. p.s. order the tempeh, it is divine

Het eten is oke . Bij afhalen behoorlijk verpakt en ook héél warm Ook bij thuiskomst nog steeds heel warm en smakelijk. Halen regelmatig.

We came here for dinner and ordered roti as well as nasi goreng. The portions were generous (one dish could have easily turned into 2 meals) and both dishes were flavorful. The best part about the restaurant is definitely the owner: she’s definitely the friendliest person I met in Amsterdam and she was super helpful in helping us decide what to eat because we were overwhelmed with options!! Plenty of vegetarian options available (tempeh, eggs, etc.). They don’t accept visa/mastercard. Take out only.

Jammer. We halen hier al een jaar of 10 onze roti. Was altijd top. Tot gisteren: Geen kool, vrijwel geen sperziebonen geen saus. Bakje veel minder vol dan anders. Was de laatste keer. Vertrouwen komt te voet maar gaat te paard.

Tot nu toe alleen een broodje bakkeljauw geprobeerd. Niets mis mee, maar dat kan je dan ook eigenlijk niet verpesten.

Zalige Roti, en aardige mensen.

Een van de puurste, eerlijkste roti die ik ooit heb gegeten! Verse rotivellen die nog nooit een vriezer van binnen hebben gezien. Heerlijk mals lamsvlees! Een pareltje! Broodje pittige gehaktballetjes is ook echt een aanrader!

Este lugar es solo para llevar. Nos alojamos en un bote del canal justo enfrente de este lugar. Recogimos algunos artículos para llevar a casa para la cena. La comida indonesia es genial, este lugar hizo un buen trabajo. La educación de mi suegra en Indonesia hace que sea difícil superar su cocina, pero este lugar era decente. Volvería, la ubicación era extremadamente conveniente para nosotros.

Ik eet hier altijd met heel veel plezier de lekkerste Surinaamse gerechten in Amsterdam! Juliette is echt een meesterchef en dat proef je aan de heerlijk gekruide gerechten, mocht je in de buurt zijn, probeer dan zeker een gerecht met lamsvlees, je zult er geen spijt van hebben ;). Gr. Eten is vers. En de broodjes goed belegd. Helaas niet veel zit ruimte. Het eten wordt opgewarmd in de magnetron. Zelf vind ik dat niet zo een probleem, dat zou je thuis ook weer doen.

Salsa de cacahuate tiene sus raíces en muchas cocinas y este pequeño apartado llevar tiene derecho raíces. La mejor salsa de cacahuate que he tenido.

Lekker eten voor een goede prijs, maar die jongen die er staat is DRAMA. Heeft geen zin om iets voor je te doen, is niet vriendelijk en weet niets over het eten te vertellen. En de broodjes zijn meestal op.

Het eten is goed, het enige dat mist is een goede sambal. Prijzen zijn heel redelijk.
