Since we were on holiday in Ommen and also had several Gift for You vouchers, 't Laarbos accepted these coupons! We have now had lunch 4 times and the quality of the food is delicious! We also ordered different dishes each time. The atmosphere is cozy and the hospitality is truly super friendly! In short, highly recommended for a nice, cozy, and affordable dinner! A huge thank you to the team and see you next year! 🩷

The pancakes were tasty, but that is about all there is to say. We felt completely unwelcome, the staff clearly weren't interested, and the atmosphere in the restaurant didn't feel pleasant either. It boiled down to: order quickly, eat the pancakes, and get out the door.

We were there with our two children (2 and 5). We had pancakes and spare ribs. Both were very good. There were plenty of toys for children, which isn't always the case. And at the end, each child got to choose a small gift from a toy box. We were very satisfied.

Really delicious pancakes, fast, friendly service, and all for a reasonable price. A place worth driving out of your way for!

The food was fine, but there isn't enough on it considering it's a tasty stuffed pancake that you pay quite a bit for. Service is a zero when it comes to answering phone calls and making sighing gestures. Also, the confirmation email states that you have to call 2 hours in advance to see if you can sit outside. This is okay. But if you repeat this when mentioning it to family or anyone else, they immediately stand at your table to explain why, even though that wasn't meant for her, but that person didn't know. We also experienced a lot of pushiness. Because of that, we didn't feel at ease and just left quickly. We ended up eating ice cream somewhere else. In terms of atmosphere, it's okay. But this restaurant shouldn't be called a restaurant. And I would never go there again. Purely customer unfriendly. Never radiate stress, sigh, or roll your eyes at your customers; everyone sees it. I know better pancake houses.

The pancakes were fine in themselves, but not enough to make me go there again. The service was friendly and fast. There were a lot of children and no places where you could sit quietly. Fine for a quick bite, but not for a cozy dinner with family or friends.

Truly an ideal place to grab a carefree meal with children. There is a bouncy castle for the kids and a cupboard full of games, coloring pages, and puzzles. We were initially worried that our 1.5-year-old daughter wouldn't have much to do, but she had a wonderful time! The service was good, and there was even a little surprise for the youngest. The pancakes weren't top-notch. Fine, but you really come here for the children. And they love it. We would love to come back here again!

We were the only customers on a Saturday evening in a very large restaurant. Very good pancakes. I had a savory one with brie; it was generously topped and really delicious. My dining companions had one with apple and one with bacon. They were satisfied too. Because the pancake was too much for me to finish, they offered to pack up the rest to take away. The interior is like a restaurant, not a pancake house, giving you the real feeling of dining out. The prices were good value for money. One disappointment: with the strawberry dessert, the strawberries were frozen in the center. The desserts are pricey, though. When filing a complaint—politely and kindly—the response was very sharp, claiming that the soft serve ice cream with the strawberries had frozen them (which is impossible). And... upon arriving home, it turned out that 10 euros more had been charged!!!!! (Maybe resentment?) We were on vacation, so we didn't feel like going back with it. Nevertheless, we will return next year on vacation. But that time, I will check the receipt carefully. Not nice!!!!!!

We were there as a couple, ordered 2 pancakes, drinks beforehand and our dessert. The food was otherwise fine; the downsides were that there was a fly in my orange juice. And my wife's small bag was not allowed to stand next to her on the windowsill.

Unfortunately, the (more luxurious, more expensive) pancakes were a bit disappointing. Not generously topped for the price. The service was really very friendly and good. The price-quality ratio was disappointing.

Great pancake restaurant and more....!! If you don't enjoy yourself here or are dissatisfied with things, it really is your own fault.

There were 11 of us, including 2 children under the age of 6. It was scorching hot, and we had reserved a table outside but were seated in the burning sun. The entire terrace was still empty. When we asked if we could sit in the shade, the response was unpleasant; she had, after all, set up a table for 11 people. A little later, some adjustments were made, but 4 people were still not in the shade, even though there was plenty of room. Also, no one could sit at the head of the table because other guests would be bothered (who arrived 45 minutes later) and were just the two of them, and were extremely friendly (unlike the host and hostess) had no objections. We were treated despicably. Water and juice for the children had to be Spa Blue costing €3. Not child-friendly and extremely unfriendly towards us. Once is enough, never again.

The restaurant, which offers a wide variety of (German) pancakes, both sweet and savory. We found everything we wanted, and it was all delicious. Cozy pancake restaurant with a wide selection. We had two savory and one sweet pancake, and they all tasted delicious. The spareribs were also good. Very friendly staff, and a fun games cabinet for the children to entertain themselves at the table. The children also received a nice surprise when paying the bill. What a lovely experience at 't Laarbos! We walked in spontaneously in the late afternoon for pancakes and were received incredibly warmly and hospitably. There was a nice atmosphere; the lady who served us (I think she was the owner) was very enthusiastic and was also great with our son. The service is top-notch in general: we had our (very tasty!) pancakes on the table in no time. The restaurant looks atmospheric and is ideal for families; there is a cupboard full of toys and puzzles that the little one thoroughly enjoyed. The value for money is also excellent. We will definitely be back here again!

We chose this spot for a break during a long bike ride. We didn't have pancakes, but opted for the combination of a fried egg with carpaccio. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere on the terrace and the beautiful weather made for a successful stop.

Nice spot, you are in the woods quickly. Slightly close to the station. Nice menu. The pancakes were thin, but very tasty. Clear policy on no smoking on the terrace. Because how unappetizing is it when you are eating outside and that rancid smoke hits you?

We just arrived fifteen minutes before opening time. The door was closed, and the employee saw us but gestured 4:00 PM. Extremely poor service. Let the customer in and, if necessary, tell them to wait. It's a shame we wanted to have a drink and make a reservation for a group.

We had a delicious meal tonight! I had made a reservation for three adults, including a baby. The high chair was ready upon arrival. I brought a snack, which they heated up without any problem, and my daughter even got a toy afterward. The staff were also very friendly.

When we pointed this out, the waitress said she couldn't do anything about it because she was "still in school." Finally, the restroom was in a very dirty state. Man, I'm so bummed about the money I spent there. It was a complete disaster. The waitresses were far too young, but I'm sure it wasn't their fault. The restaurant management really needs to think twice. For starters, the pancakes were inedible, so we sent them back. And when we finally got our drinks, we'd been waiting forever and the glasses were dirty. But the absolute worst part was the reaction to our complaints. When we raised the issue, we were simply told we should be grateful we even got a table, since we hadn't made a reservation. Unbelievable!

The staff were very friendly, even for the children. The food was good and there was a wide selection. After dinner, my daughter was allowed to choose something, and they calmly put the toys on the table and explained what she could choose from. We will definitely be back.

Bij binnenkomst zat er een lawaaiige grote groep. We konden alleen aan een tafeltje direct ernaast plaatsnemen terwijl er diverse andere vrije tafels waren. De motivatie was dat deze eventueel door meer dan twee personen bezet zouden kunnen worden. Daarna kregen mijn vrouw en ik niet echt lekkere pannenkoeken. Vreemd elastisch. We gaven aan dat we ze niet zo lekker vonden. Maar u heeft ze toch opgegeten zei de dame enigszins honend die ons bediende. Nooit weer.

Highly recommended! We treated ourselves to a late lunch with the whole family, which consisted of various pancakes and spare ribs. The waiters were super friendly and quick to take our orders. The food was also delicious. I can only agree with the other reviews: it's super kid-friendly, and the trampoline mat is great for the kids. Plus, there's exclusive, free parking right in front of the restaurant! We'll definitely be back!
