Taste of Ramen in Burgwallen-Oude Zijde

We had lunch here with sides. Everything was actually delicious. The spring rolls were definitely recommended, but so was the soup. The setting is a bit cafeteria-like. You sit upstairs, the kitchen is downstairs. The service was super friendly and Dutch-speaking.

Save yourself the time and don't read multiple reviews, it won't get any better. Don't eat here.

Just go ! This small place is class and the food delicious, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the manager even gave my kids her very own custard boa and we were very grateful just go !!

Taste of Ramen in Amsterdam offers a cozy refuge, especially on a chilly summer day. I tried the veggie ramen, which was exactly what I needed – nice, warm, and comforting. The broth was rich, and the vegetables were fresh and well-cooked. However, the curry rice with shrimp was just average, lacking a bit of the flavor punch I was hoping for. The service here is really nice, and the owner is exceptionally sweet and attentive, making the dining experience pleasant. While the food had its highs and lows, the welcoming atmosphere and genuine hospitality make it a place worth visiting. Four stars for the overall experience!

The staff was very unfriendly and didn't make you feel welcome. Apparently they don’t know the motto “The customer is king”. In addition, they don't stick to their opening hours, open too late, close too early or leave the store closed completely. It seems like no one wants to go there. Overall, a very very bad experience. Recommendations: BETTER GO TO ANOTHER RAMEN STORE!!!

Food is just good price-quality, the service… what can you expect from a typical family restaurant runned by one person, again just good. Atmosphere, you forget you are in the middle of Amsterdam which is good after all the crowd and english people walking around.

Sweet little shop. The boss is very nice, he offers a piece of paper to write down the order to avoid mistakes. The food comes quickly and tastes good. Really okay in terms of price. We'd love to come back

I do not recommend. Really terrible service. The older man doesn't even take the order, he just asks the guests to write down menu items on a piece of paper. If you want to eat well, think about another restaurant, the atmosphere here is terrible. Food not good. I ordered sesame balls, except that they are empty inside.

Google will probably ban this opinion, but the food is great, better than I had in Shanghai. If you have ever been in Chinese restaurant than you probably know the service, apart from that I am pleased.

We ordered Ramen. They brought us boiled noodles. The waiter was one very rude waiter who must have hated his job! To my tourist friends, avoid this place like you avoid plague.

basic decor,friendly staff who speak in a concise manner. You can tell the owner has love for the place by his expression when it filled up, and how clean everything is. Food is decent,subtle flavors which could be percieved as mild. Gyoza was delicious, nice sauce.

The atmosphere was not very comfortable, the waitress does not have the best manners and the food is below average, skip this and find better options on the zone.

I got food poisoning yesterday from the pork in the ramen. It’s the worst ramen I ever had. Everything is tasteless, the broth, the noodles……Should always check the reviews before going!!

Eating here it's like a performance art. The owner is a piece of art himself. His performance of being an indifferent person really worked out well. The highlight of the show was being silenced by him. The television next to our table really added to the atmosphere of the establishment.

Interior looks like from the 60ties of the last century, you would not believe it's a restaurant rather than a student lowcost dormitory. You should state you have an allergy to get a fresh new pair of chopsticks, otherwise they are re-used. Ramen itself was more a hot water with noodles.

Don't even go in!! I got food poisoning from the pork in the ramen. At the time I tried to tell the owner that maybe there was something wrong with the food and he just told us to pay and leave. He never apologized. He made us pay for the food we couldn't eat and was super rude. At the end he got really aggressive and said that he was going to beat us (????). We had to pay, but will never come back!!! Definitely one of the worst restaurants I've been to!

Very tasty food, very nice staff, we were the only diners in the restaurant, the food was also tasty.

Disappointed… Ramen that at first bite looks good, but then turns out to be bland. I advise you not to go there. I'm more than sure there are better ramen in the area.

Ordered tonkotsu ramen for dinner during a rainy night. For not very hungry people, it is actually well enough for two person. The broth is very rich with the aroma of the pork. Each spoonful of ramen with the broth is superb. We were served with four big pieces of three layered pork well roasted and still juicy with smokey smell. Overall we were very satisfied with the ramen after we had tasted ichiran ramen previously. The taste was different however it was very worth to try out.

I like the relaxed atmosphere of the place. The I had has the right texture. Moreover, the chicken were very tasty and juicy. It has a plethora of baverages including Ramune. Highly recommended.

I really love the chill atmosphere, the owner was really friendly and warm. One of the best ramen places that i have been in the Netherlands. The portion was huge, love the flavorful chicken, the noodle was perfect not too soft and not too hard. Highly recommend this place, be sure to add a dash of soy sauce or chili sauce if you need to (just to cater to your liking)

Ramen without further ado, I felt cheated because he brought us a plate with 4 balls of something I don't even know, thinking it was a courtesy and then he charged me on the bill. He would say "thank you, byebye" and I felt like he was laughing in my face. It has ruined my day to have to pay €50 for a meal that is nothing more. not really go

Read the reviews before coming. If you are a Ramen fan, don’t come here. I had a tonkotsu shoyu ramen and i’m sure it was from an instant package. No taste at all, cute presentation but zero flavor. This is Chinese ownership and they don’t do an authentic ramen.

Great restaurant, clean and nice staff, good experience

We ate wonderfully, they treated us very warmly and it was a cozy place. The owner of the place was a very respectful and kind person.

They fed us wonderfully, you can tell that it is homemade food, the owner of the bar was very friendly and the service was great, I would not hesitate to return, very welcoming.

Super Ramen for me. Delicious, hot, dense, rich. Place as it appears on the outside: bordering on decency and quite dirty. I asked for things and more came. For me it was all about food.

Decent ramen in a rather small, rough and ready establishment. The owner/server is a bit of a character but seems nice enough. Probably just language issues we experienced. Had some gyoza too which were nice. Reasonably priced. Nothing fancy or upmarket in here and if you’re all with service on the owners terms then you won’t go wrong.

Cuando veáis las reseñas haced caso. El camarero es súper maleducado y pone una sonrisa muy forzada a los clientes. El Ramen ha sido uno de los Ramenes más raros que he visto y he probado en mi vida. Podrían mejorar la calidad ya que incluso el huevo se nota que no tiene calidad ninguna y que ponen lo que encuentras en la nevera y de bote además. El señor me dio una Coca-Cola abollada así que imagínense las maniobras que uno tiene que hacer aquí. Sin duda no lo recomiendo pero si estás enfermo y quieres una experiencia nueva por variar, este es tu sitio. 🤣

Incredibly good Ramen. The veggie Ramen was the best I've ever eaten. Loaded with noodles and vegetables and delicious taste. The waiter was very nice. He's quiet, yes, but very friendly. :) The price was very reasonable for the large bowls and I'd love to eat here again.

Unlike many of the other commentators I really enjoyed my visit here. We came for lunch and were nearly the only guests. Most of us ordered ramen (obviously) and my meal was excellent. Everything you’d want from a bowl of ramen was in there and all of it tastet very well. The portion was very big especially for the very acceptable price (for Amsterdam). We were served by the man and he was very nice despite me nearly instantly throwing down a bottle. Also to other customers he was very gentle and forthcoming. Additionally, the order didn’t take too long which really helped because we were in a hurry. There weren’t many vegan meals but the vegan in my group still found great food. All in all I have to say it was a great lunch. (7 people drink, meal, side - 140€)

チャーシューと麺だけ美味しかった。 ラーメンのスープがぬるくて美味しくなく感じるけど、味そのものはそんなに悪くなかったです。接客は最悪でしたが。(メニュー放り投げる、遅い) 店の狭さ、提供までの遅さ、オペレーションの悪さ。愛想の悪さで評価がさらに悪くなってると感じます。 もしこの料理のクオリティのまま、接客やオペレーションが改善されたら、おそらくGoogleレビューは3.8-4.2に上がると思います。 日本の地方のサービスエリアで500円で出してるラーメンレベルを国外で3000円くらい出して食べてる感じです。

Ramen is really bad… veggie ramen came with half an egg and a tiny shred of tofu. The veggies were Ok - the broth is just salty water. That being said the staff are nice and courteous and it was a relaxing quiet place. Doesn’t seem super clean though.

De bouillon met soja had weinig smaak. Ik moest onverhoopt weg en er werd 50 cent gerekend voor mijn meeneem bakje, terwijl de soep al prijzig was voor de kwaliteit. Jammerrrrrrrrr joh. De volgende keer ga ik naar een ander restaurant.

A very small and authentic Ramen place. Ramen was surprisingly good. Waiter, I guess the owner, was super friendly. I had the Tan Tan Ramen. A good choice. Super spicy broth. Size of the portion was good. Definitely recommendable.
