Teds Amsterdam Jordaan - All day Brunch in Jordaan

Extremely disappointed!!! We had a reservation for 12:45 for 3 people. We arrived on time, but we had to wait for tables to become available (so we lose the whole concept of a RESERVATION), but really, that's not a big deal! Once seated, we took our orders, and then came an ENDLESS wait!! Over an hour of waiting for 1 burger, 1 sandwich, and 1 brioche... but again, we can understand, it's not so bad if the food is good... And that's when the worst comes to the worst: the food in general was pretty average, sloppy presentation, cold temperature, but edible except for the burger. I'm honestly not picky about food, but serving this kind of burger in a restaurant is simply a disgrace. The "smash burger" isn't smashed at all, but it would be fine if the meat didn't taste simply disgusting, sour, even rancid. I think the date had passed a while ago, unfortunately. At the end of the meal, I let the waitress know that the dish was really not good. I even asked her if the meat was actually beef because it had an unrecognizable taste, but there was no reaction from her, absolutely NOTHING. She saw that my plate hadn't been touched, so I let her know it was inedible and that none of the three of us still found the meat tasty, but there was no reaction... In short, €20 for the burger to leave on an empty stomach and potentially get food poisoning is honestly very disappointing. The only positives were the waffle fries, which were good, and the latte, which was neither too bitter nor too sweet.

Super disappointed with my meal. I visited two times. First time I got the breakfast burrito and the bacon was uncooked - I thought it was a one time thing. I visited again and ordered the same thing and it was still uncooked. I brought it to the servers attention and she said there was nothing they could do for me. Besides the bacon being raw the breakfast burrito was pretty good which was why I was so disappointed. My sister also requested cheese in her eggs and was told that wouldn’t be possible which we thought was very odd. I expected the server to take the breakfast burrito off the bill because it was clear it wasn’t edible but that did not happen. Not sure if I would recommend this place, maybe it was just the location I visited.

Great food and very nice staff!

How can I say that we still haven't been able to eat our brunch yet. Arriving at 10:15 a.m., the waitress takes our paper order and informs us that there will be a bit of a wait in the kitchen. Okay. But after 40 minutes, still no drink or food, which is understandable, given that a server comes to tell us that our order was never recorded and is therefore re-entering it electronically. Another 10 minutes to get a coffee and a matcha. And after a little over an hour, some people who came after us are being served but there's no news of our food. We leave, and the waitress dares to tell us that she had warned us, the same one who forgot to record our order upon arrival! In the end, they weren't able to keep up with the pace of orders, which is a shame, because it's not the customer's fault either.

The food here is delicious and the vibes are very aesthetic. Luigi was super kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

Llegué unos minutos antes para una reserva de media tarde para tres. El restaurante era tranquilo con un montón de mesas vacías, pero todavía nos pidieron que esperar. Esto era comprensible, sin embargo, notamos múltiples caminatas - ins se sentaron inmediatamente. Mientras esperaban, el personal estaba cotilleando ruidosamente sobre otros clientes, lo que no marcó un gran tono. Una vez que estábamos sentados, el servicio era dolorosamente lento. Otra caminata - en grupo que llegó después de nosotros tenía su orden tomada antes de que nadie siquiera se acercara a nuestra mesa. Después de esperar y ver a la camarera atender a otras mesas que llegaron después de nosotros (solo había alrededor de 2 - 3 otras fiestas) no nos sentimos cómodos gastando nuestro dinero aquí y nos fuimos. Este lugar está en todo TikTok, pero honestamente, es masivamente exagerado. El servicio fue terrible, y fue una completa pérdida de tiempo. Las vibraciones se sintieron. No recomendaría.

We waited at least 50 minutes for French toast and banana bread. Unfortunately, it wasn't particularly tasty and was far too expensive. What a shame...

Nous nous sommes dirigés sur ce restaurant pour Bruncher pour un EVJF. L’accueil était top et nous avions une grande table brique pour nous. Et pour l’évènement, on nous a offert une bouteille de prosecco qui a été très appréciable. Un peu d’attente pour la réception de nos plats qui étaient bon, mais sans plus. On a été un peu déçu car nous nous attendions à un peu plus de goût, mais ça restait très correct tout de même de même! L’œuf Bénédicte était quand même un coup de cœur, je ne recommande pas par contre le Rolls au homard. Pour les boissons , le jus est très bon et frais, le chai latte est excellent aussi! Merci pour l’accueil

Super nice staff and amazing food

Food tasted absolutely amazing, and the servers were kind and attentive. Definitely worth having some lunch here!! Only thing I would improve is the temperature of the food as it was a little bit on the colder side in our case.

Everything was excellent and very delicious. I liked the food 10/10 😍. Our orders were egg burrito without bacon, omega 3 (we replaced the salmon with mushrooms), and pretzel with eggs 👍. The cappuccino was regular and the flat white was excellent. It is preferable to book in advance.

Came here for a late breakfast. We booked in advance which I recommend as it can book out quickly. There are often spaces for walk-ins but booking in advance saves disappointment. We were greeted by staff as we went in and they took us to our table. The service was excellent and staff were very attentive. Food arrived quickly and it was delicious.

The portions are very small for 15-20€, unfortunately you won't get full at all. It doesn't taste particularly good either, the toasted bread is very dry, for example. The staff was very friendly, even if we didn't have a reservation we were allowed to sit at the bar and eat. Still not worth a second visit, even if the ambience is quite nice.

Went for brunch and ended up leaving an hour later without eating anything. I had booked three days in advance specifically for the boozy bottomless brunch. When my friends and I arrived, the waiter told us we should have booked it at least two days in advance, which made no sense since I had already done so and even left a note when booking online. We decided to just order from the regular menu instead. After placing our order, only the pitcher of mimosas arrived. We noticed two other tables that came in after us were served and had left before us. Eventually, the waiter returned and told us she had never placed our food order. She was kind and apologetic but by then we were starving and did not want to risk waiting another hour, so we left. Disappointing experience.

We came for breakfast, it was quiet at 9:30am but got busy within 30 minutes so definitely glad we booked a table as they do get busy! Very pretty interior and the food was well presented - and yummy!

Lovely place, RESERVE AHEAD. Recommend. We walked in and got a table. Coffee, and drinks were nice. The food was amazing, we had brisket toast and cajun chicken on sourdough, which was a huge portion. Lovely staff, great WC/bathrooms/restrooms.

Mediocre food, horrible instagram-driven interior design

Everything was very good. A real favorite for French toast, with its marshmallow heart! I'm just a little disappointed that we were put at the bar because we didn't have a reservation and were told that we might have to wait 1 hour to get a table otherwise... so that in the end a couple arrived 10 minutes after us without a reservation and were placed at a table and not at the bar... not cool for us but oh well. Other than that it was very good.

High tea was with lots of fried meat and nasty white thick sandwiches, everything was soaked in grease, not a nice place, I left feeling nauseous. Advice: go to a nice place nearby where they still have a passion for their business and taste.

Because I was enthusiastic about another Teds location, I brought a friend along to the Jordaan. Unfortunately: even though it is a chain, you don't have to expect the same quality. The location is nice and attractively decorated. Upon entering we were greeted coolly and put at a table that was crammed very tightly between two other (occupied) tables, while the rest of the place was empty. Unfortunately we were not allowed a table with more space. The food arrived quickly, looked nice but was a bit disappointing in terms of taste: some dry, tough French toast, very sparsely topped with some thin slices of banana; a 5/10. The sandwich was slightly better, but nothing special; a 6.5/10. The "iced coffees with caramel" did not contain caramel, when we indicated this it was resolved, but not wholeheartedly; as if we were a burden to them with the extra request. They were very sweet after this, but better than unsweetened: 6/10. There was quite a lot of staff, but during our visit they were mainly busy with each other: watching videos out loud on the phone, talking/laughing loudly, aiming things over the counter into something... They were clearly enjoying themselves with each other, but we found it unprofessional and disturbing. Rarely do we not tip, but in this case we thought it was appropriate. We won't be back; unfortunately, because I was very curious about the high tea! We will go to Haarlem.

I recently went for brunch here, and honestly—it was disappointing. The place looks nice, but the atmosphere felt off from the start. Instead of feeling welcomed, it felt more like we were bothering the staff just by being there. We had a reservation and showed up on time, but it still took over 25 minutes before anyone even took our order. No drinks, nothing. If I had known, I would’ve eaten a small snack at home, because sitting hungry for that long gets frustrating. What really sealed the experience, though, was how my question was handled after the meal. I asked about a specific dish—just wanted to know if it’s meant to be served cold. The response I got made me feel dumb, as if I should’ve known better. Not helpful, not kind. I’m not planning to come back. Honestly, it feels like another overhyped spot in the city center turning into a tourist-trap type of place. Style over substance. Maybe others will have better luck, but I didn’t. This isn’t a hateful rant—just a heads-up to anyone hoping for a nice brunch with people you care about. Choose wisely, because spending time at a place like this can leave you feeling worse instead of refreshed.

The location and food is nice, even tho my food came out cold, but the service was really really bad. We first got meat on our vegetarian option, then two orderd the burritos one with bacon one whiteout and she mixed them up, she gave us the wrong check and there wasn’t toilet paper on the bathroom. I can’t recommend going here

Had a high tea here via social deal and it was really bad. No explanation about what you got, only English speaking staff, had to get up several times to ask for something and it took a very long time. In addition, the snacks were also disappointing. The savory snacks (salmon and egg) were on the plate with syrup and waffles and my bread was completely soaked with syrup. Cheesecakes was old, had a hard edge on it. Snacks were of little value. All in all not good.

Fuimos a casa de los Ted cerca de la casa de Ana Frank, que parece más pequeña que la otra en Amsterdam, pero el servicio y la comida eran excelentes. Dos de nosotros teníamos el Croque Wilamina que es Rendang de ternera en el medio del sándwich de queso derretido con un huevo y copos de chile en la parte superior. I’ll be honest , Ted’s was a little out of the way for us ,but we decided to make the effort to take in brunch here as it came highly recommended on more than YouTube video and Instagram posts we watched while preparing for our trip to Amsterdam. We were fortunate enough to get a seat as it was quite busy when we arrived. While the service and atmosphere at Ted’s were top notch our meals unfortunately were a little bit of a let down. We were taken back at the fact both came out ice cold. Maybe this was a one off due to how busy it was ,but non the less wish we could have experienced our food hot which I’m sure would have enhanced our experience. Putting that aside we decided that we would probably visit again in hopes of a much better outcome.

My wife arranged for us to have brunch here (having seen a lot of hype on TikTok), and it’s ideally located near to Anne Frank’s house where we also had reservations. My wife thought her food was delicious - however, my Katsu Chicken sandwich was tasty, but I couldn’t taste a hint of katsu… which was disappointing. Service was attentive, friendly and efficient. It was very very busy, with lots of people being turned away. We were seated near the till, where a lot of foot fall right by us, which wasn’t perfect. All in all, a great brunch spot that I would recommend, but from our experience go with the chicken donut, not the katsu.

Sad to say that it’s very overrated for breakfast:( I felt disappointed when I got it… like it felt very poor …. 14€ to get a a slice of bread directly taken from AH, a piece of avocado so small I can’t even taste and 2 eggs. With small adjustments would be a bit more nice… I felt robbed kind of…. I would suggest to go for lunch options or take the shashuka at least they “cook” it. Avocado toast avoid it.

Buscando un lugar de desayuno cerca de nuestro hotel reservamos una mesa aquí a primera hora. Nos alegramos de haber reservado, ya que se llenó muy rápido, así que es claramente popular. El café en sí es muy bonito y en una buena ubicación. La comida llegó rápido, hermoso presentado y en general era agradable. Mi burrito de desayuno estaba un poco frío, pero nada demasiado importante. Lamentablemente el servicio fue un poco shambolic. Nuestros cafés fueron hechos con la leche equivocada y nuestra comida enviada a la mesa equivocada. Todos los problemas se rectificaron rápidamente, pero se apartó del ambiente relajado. Cuando se trataba de pagar, las 3 máquinas de tarjetas no funcionaban. ¡Por suerte teníamos dinero! Quizá siendo lo primero un sábado los pillamos en mal momento.

The main reason for coming here is the food - which honestly was a let down for me. Nothing special, portions were on the smaller side, and the prices definitely not worth it. The staff are SUPER friendly though, and the atmosphere is nice and chill.

amazing brunch!! we already want to come back here because there was more on the menu we want to try hahah. the breakfast burrito was great and the french toast with the bananas was INCREDIBLY delicious!! we also got the banana bread which was soooo so good! their drinks are delicious as well, the fresh OJ was absolutely perfect!!!

I can not recommend this place even though the brunch was good, because I have never experienced as rude service from the girl who was serving us. Drinks came late and other extra food as well. When we asked if it was on its way she told us to wait. We had been waiting for a long time. We had not finish the brunch when she brought the bill. Service and attitude 0 points.

Food was good - service not so much! Had to wait a long time for drinks, some of the food was missing - Staff told us the kitchen forgot it and took a long time for them to bring the missing rest of the food to the table. We had the table for 1 hour 15 minutes, but we were not "allowed" to make another drink order when 25 minutes left of the stay.

The brunch was good and the place is nice. But the delivery was bad, sauces and drinks showed up much later than the food. The waiter was borderline rude, she told us that the beer we wanted to order again was finished! And she was reluctant to take another drink order and said we only had 1 hour and 15 minutes to eat. This was after 50 minutes. Everything was rushed and impolite.

Reservamos Teds para el almuerzo durante su estancia en Amsterdam. La comida y las bebidas eran fantásticas, aunque un poco caro. Tomamos la hamburguesa aplastante y el sándwich de pollo Katsu con las papas fritas de gofre de trufa. Lo único que nos molestó un poco fue que a pesar de que habíamos reservado previamente estábamos sentados justo al lado de la puerta con la gente pasando constantemente. Donde como personas que solo estaban caminando - ins estaban sentados en los mejores asientos de la casa (cerca de la ventana). Creo que las reservas deben priorizarse en las mesas más favorables.

Such good food would definitely recommend

The food was excellent, but unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the meal. We had to wait a long time for our food, and when it arrived, they had forgotten the sauces. It took a while to get someone’s attention to fix it. Later, when we wanted to order more drinks, we were told they were out of the beer we wanted—which was odd considering our bill was printed 35 minutes before our table’s time limit was up. It felt like they were more focused on turning tables than providing good service. Disappointing experience overall, especially given how good the food was.

We really enjoyed this place as our first sit down meal in ams - Food was great! My husband had the teds royal er. I had the chicken and donuts with waffle fries w truffle parmesan dip as an add on. We finished everything! Being able to reserve a table on Google maps for 2 for a Sunday brunch was wonderfully convenient I discovered Teds on ig while still in my home country and saved it Place is small but cozy. Attendants are pleasant.

The restaurant is in a nice location and you can also pre-book. The service we received was top notch, and so was the food. I had a club sandwich + apple juice. The tables are quite small but that’s not enough reason to downgrade the review. 10/10 - will return

I took my friends to this place on a recommendation from TikTok. I don't understand why there are so many positive reviews here. Staff is responsive and smiling fact! But the food... we ordered 3 cocktails, one of which was Paloma and it turned out to be either sour or salty🥴 Fortunately, the waitress changed it to another without including it in the menu. Then we ordered from the food: 2 TEDS SMASH BURGER, 1 TEDS CLUB SANDWICH and Truffle Fries. About the burgers: the buns were cold, the “secret” sauce was spicy in places, the serving with chips was strange🫣. A friend had sandwiches and couldn't even eat them. Very fatty mayonnaise salad with chicken. The tomato is cut into thick slices. The toast itself was already cold, although many places serve it warm. She ate very little. There is only 1 Window in the cafe! The rest of the space is in the shade. No one has done any renovations for a long time. We paid 92€ for everything and I think this is unreasonably high. I don’t recommend it for any brunches, although the cocktails were even more or less good.

From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were in good hands. Liza, our waitress, was an absolute gem—attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring about our experience. She made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, and her warm smile truly made our visit special.
