very bad service, waited almost an hour for our food which was served cold. a dish was brought fifteen minutes earlier while the rest of the food was not ready yet. We were never asked if everything was to our liking, only once asked for our drinks while our drinks were already gone. could serve myself better.

Small deception here, expensive and empty plates for a trendy restaurant, made as instagram as possible… Half empty room but our coffee were served room temperature… Not generous nor warming place, service team not really here to give the best customer experience… Thanks for telling me to stand up to take water as I was eating, it’s annoying for a bored waiter to bring water to their customer :)

Nice meal. Apparently previous feedback was listened to regarding the eggs, because they were warm and very tasty with the hollandaise sauce and salmon 👌 Only the cappuccino was not good. The foam layer was very minimal, mainly a lot of hot milk, and therefore more of a latte. Friendly service, but unfortunately no one spoke Dutch

We managed to get a last minute booking and were extremely pleased with everything we had, felt like waiting times were reasonable and the food was excellent. Big portions so worth the money, waffle fries were lovely however they come with mayonnaise all over the top - definitely recommend this place!

We're extremely dissatisfied with the service here. We were blatantly ignored despite being right in front of the staff, endured an excessively long queue, and had a bargirl spill water on us, soaking our bag. All we received was an awkward smile as an apology, and she continued working as if nothing happened, providing no compensation whatsoever. Despite the service issues, I have to admit the food was good.

Ordered the ‘famous’ donut n’ chicken and fries. Food came out to fries being cold and chicken this grey/green colour when I cut into it. I ate none of this meal and my partner ate the donut but not the chicken. Staff still trying to charge for the meal despite it being inedible. Will not be back. I would recommend Lagom (all day brunch) as an alternative, it is busy however great food and service.

Food was great and the two ladies working were absolutely amazing, however, what I assume is their manager was awful. Micromanaged them like there is no tomorrow, moved us away from our seating because it was going to get ‘too cold’…two minutes later, he sat new customers there. What does that look like? He is a liar but also does not care for his clientele. Furthermore, he stated that we couldn’t split the bill. Awful, will not visit again.

The service was great! We got in right away and they made it personal to us by putting us by the window and turning on music we preferred. Food was great as well, and servers were kind.

I do NOT recommend this place for High tea. I repeat! I do NOT recommend this place for High tea! Their advert (pictures on their website ) is very misleading. Customer service is zero! The food is basic 😕 The service is not worth the price! Look elsewhere for High Tea Experience.

Booked a table for 11:15, we were seated quickly however it took 30 minutes for our order to even be taken. After 45 minutes, still no drinks or food had arrived. Within this time, the waitress came up to ask for our order again as it hadn’t gone into the system. After another 15 minutes of waiting, the waitress came over apologizing with a brownie that our order still hadn’t gone through. We left as we didn’t want a brownie, we wanted our lunch that we had been waiting an hour for. We then didn’t have time to get food anywhere else before our flight.

I had high expectations after the insta perfect pictures of all the food! Unfortunately it was all a bit disappointing. Staff did not speak Dutch, service was slow (for example waited 20 minutes for a mint tea). Coffee was really tasteless, order something else. We had the chicken katsu sandwich and it was super salty. Club sandwich was nice. Luckily they offer free tap water!

Had found about Teds before visiting Amsterdam and the food certainly lived up to expectation, it was delicious. Solid 5/5

This is my favorite Amsterdam brunch spot but I have to say the staff situation on New Year's day disappointed me. I am writing this as I realized we got overcharged looking at my bank account, which is probably because they mistook our table for the table next to us, which then got resolved in the restaurant, so I didn't think twice when paying later. The bill didn't match our amount of food looking back (in about 20€ and the table ordered more), so it was probably theirs, but that's on us that we didn't notice. We came to the restaurant too, running a bit later, and asked the people in line in front of us if they had a reservation and one waiter told us to get back in line when they said they didn't and we tried to skip them (which they were fine with), saying the line has priority, which then kind of misses the point of having a reservation? Our waiter also had trouble with English this time, which of course everyone has varying language skills and English is not a native language in the Netherlands, but Ted's seems like quite a popular spot for tourists too. I understand it was January 1 so everyone probably had a long night celebrating but we waited longer for food, had a bit of trouble communicating with our waiter and got overcharged at a cool place we were excited to go with my friend visiting the city, so I just hope the staff pays more attention next time :)

Everything here is pre-made. EVERYTHING. There’s not one dish that they make themselves, everything is pre-made and warmed up. This is a brunch restaurant and I saw the staff really struggling to keep up. I heard they treat their staff horribly as well (from a staff member at the restaurant!!!). Definitely not going back here and I would advise anyone to steer clear! Way better brunch places everywhere

We stopped by Ted’s in Jordaan for brunch, and it was such a great experience. Even though the place was busy, we only had to wait a second for a table to free up, which was awesome. The manager was super welcoming and made us feel at home right away. The vibe was perfect—lively but still cozy, exactly what we were looking for. The service was quick and friendly, and you could tell the staff really cared about making sure everyone was having a good time.

Teds is an absolute gem! The vibe here is super chill and perfect for catching up with friends, or for a couples’ dates or just enjoying some delicious food. Hands down, the Donut N Chicken is a must-try—it’s the perfect mix of sweet and savory, and honestly one of the best things I’ve ever had. The menu has something for everyone, and the portions are generous. The staff is super friendly and keeps the good energy going. If you’re in Amsterdam and love brunch, Teds is the spot. Highly recommend!

Like others have said - overrated. We sat down and ordered our meals. I got something I didn’t order. We ordered two mimosas. Then we wanted another but they ran out of orange juice. At 1230 on a Sunday during brunch? Next we ordered mimosas with grapefruit juice but before we could get them, the waiter comes over and says at 20 minutes we have to push these two table together for another reservation. I said so we need to leave? And he said yes. In my 4 years of living in the NL I’ve never been asked to leave a restaurant (we also had a reservation). So after one mimosa and a so so brunch, we went to black and blue down the street and leisurely snacked and had drinks. The hostess was lovely at Ted’s - their only saving grace.

A great brunch establishment with a pleasant ambiance and perfect servers. A little rarer in Amsterdam: water is free. Be careful not to arrive before midday, however, and be aware that you have a 2-hour limit before being asked to leave. This is not a place to relax or work, but to enjoy a good meal. We enjoyed a croque-madame, a salmon croissant and a chicken-avocado sandwich: everything was delicious. Small downside on the drinks, which were not quite up to par with the dishes. An overall very satisfactory experience

Reserved a high tea for 2 for 20 euros per man, and unfortunately nothing was like the photo. Very little food and what there was was half three times nothing. Unlimited tea, but of course that was a flag on a mud barge. What everyone else around us had seemed to be good, but please stop with the high teas. I won't be coming anymore unfortunately.

Burger soaked with grease, ordered eggs norwegian missing some of the stuff it was stated to come with. completely overrated save your money.

We had chosen the high tea with three friends. The tea is served very cute in a nice pot. We thought the high tea itself was very little, but afterwards we were still quite hungry. The 3 of us could choose 2 cakes. It would be best to have one cake per person instead of 3 and share 2 slices with a spoon. The taste of what was served was very tasty. So I would recommend the high tea, but keep in mind that you may have to order something else afterwards.

This was a really nice place but I felt it was a little overhyped. I saw it on TikTok and I'm glad I booked in because it was packed when we got there. The prices were high but the portions were big. The staff were friendly and the place was nicely decorated but I expected more from the food since everyone online was raving about it. I would still recommend it.

The service was really slow and the food was nothing special, the waffle fries were cold when they came and the fried chicken tasted greasy…saw this on TikTok so thought it would be a good place to go for brunch, the highlight was the apple juice and the hash browns.

This restaurant is completely overrated. We waited ages for menus and even longer to be served. The waitress got our order wrong despite being told 4 times. We then had to wait another 45 minutes for our food despite there not being many people in the restaurant. We ordered two dirty chai lattes that were basically warmed milked with no other flavour. The VEGAN French toast initially came with bacon. Once we had to the right order it was dry, had no taste of cinnamon and was just bland. The Triple Omega was one slice of dry bread with hard and unripe avocados and two hard boiled eggs, not soft poached eggs. Both meals were extremely dry and not worth the money (40,25€). No one in the restaurant finished their meals, which says everything. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Was looking forward to visiting here after seeing it advertised a lot. The whole experience was disappointing really. Firstly the place is dirty, we sat on the small 2 seater table in the window & it wasn’t even wiped down from the previous customers. There was food & tissues all on the floor underneath & window sill & windows thick with dust & grime. They looked like they not been wiped in months. The food its self was over priced & lacking in flavour. I had the katsu sandwich, the Asian coleslaw & sauce weren’t particularly nice. There was a hair in one of our juices, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I think with a good clean & some better trained staff it could be fab, but until then I’m sorry but it’s a no.

I would recommend reserving early, it's easy to do online. I was very impressed by the beautiful interior and the staff was extremely friendly. The food was very, very tasty and so were the drinks. I had a breakfast deal, which meant the price-performance ratio was definitely right! Will definitely come back!

Bad service. We had to request three times the attention of the waitress to be able to order. Drinks and food arrive quite late and when we wanted to order more drinks one waitress, not friendly at all, said that the reservation of the table was only for 1h15 and we already consumed that time. Ok, but the place was not full, they were tables empty, not queue outside and in fact I could make a new reservation online at that moment for that time. Ridiculous!! Also if I knew in advance that the reservation was for such a short time I would have not come here in the first place. They are a lot of brunch places in Amsterdam for the same price and better quality :(

Vaker naar Ted's Haarlem geweest en nu dus in eigen stad...leuk zo op een Zondagmiddag ... Wij namen de donut met karaage kip en maple sirop. De croissant met gepocheerde eieren, zalm en Hollandaise saus. En extra een portie karaage. Het eten is echt kwalitatief goed en ook nog eens een feestje voor het oog. Super chille bediening. 1 minpuntje , kreeg 2 koude gepocheerde eitjes op mijn croissant. Ben van mening dat een warm vers eitje het helemaal had afgemaakt!

Short reservations (only 1h), huge line outside and no one is coming to deal with it even though there are empty tables around. Once you get a table, hope that it’s not right by the entrance as you’ll most likely freeze

Amazing food, cozy place. We made a reservation but arrived late ( got lost) but the staff was kind enough to arrange a table for us, and the food didn’t disappoint I tried the chicken Avo 100% recommended, amazing flavors.

Even 3.5 is too much for this place. As soon as we arrived we were told that we only have 1h (despite the reservation), because they have a line of people. Basically they treat you as a cash bag, who should eat as quick as possible and leave for more cash bags to come. Very noisy, food is ok, but nothing special or nothing that you can’t cook yourself.

The food, music and service were unbelievable and we were served by Isabel who was a legend

Amazing service, particularly young lady in front, who provided best dirty chai in the city. In the back there are comfortable pillows and tables with funny phrases framed on the wall. Friendly welcoming breakfast.

This is the second branch we visited while on holiday . Their food is amazing . The menu is not big but it has everything you need . We got the Norwegian eggs Benedict which my wife said was excellent and I got the breakfast burrito and again was so tasteful and a big portion .

We came here looking for an atmospheric place to eat some good food following a night out in Amsterdam. We didn’t have a reservation so had to sit at the bar (which was fine). It seemed obvious from the start that the 3 members of staff were stretched and it took a long time for them to take our order. Most tables were in similar positions, with little food and drinks out which resulted in a fed up feel to the place. The hot drink I had was nice. When the food arrived, the eggs were cold and it was bang average for the cost of it. They also got our order wrong but at this point I was pretty done with the place. I wouldn’t come here again and felt sorry for the staff as I’m sure it’s a poor management issue. After leaving, it was obvious that this was a ‘TikTok trend’ for brunch spots. There are far better places to go!

Tried to get here without booking (despite the empty tables) twice (weekend and weekday) - they didn’t let us in without booking. The third time i have booked a table and was seated! The menu has loads of options but the choice itself is poor. All sandwiches are with ham/meat or fish. You can remove the ingredient but not replace. They don’t offer veggies or side salads or greens in sandwiches. They can only offer the cobb salad for 14,5€ or a fruit salad at 6€. They can make it boozy so you forget the misery of their place but it was prosecco (why not rum? Fruits match better with rum) You have to tell them if you want your coffee in a cup cause you love your morning coffee in a cup otherwise you’ll get it in a high glass! The waitress was in a bad mood probably and wasn’t helpful. All i asked for was a slice of bread with cheese (typically local) and some greens on the side. She said: unfortunately no. Its both in the menu. And the kitchen is very busy to satisfy the guest (with 5 occupied tables?) I got a croissant in the end which was yesterday’s (not fresh) Fruit salad had mostly grapes and some watermelon that was cut a couple of days ago (too soft) My last morning in Amsterdam ended up with such a disappointing breakfast.

Overrated. Even with reservation for three, we were given a tiny table that clearly did not fit all orders and made the experience very uncomfortable. It was my second time there and coincidentally on the first time I had a similar table and my partner even dropped all his food on himself because his plate was too close to the edge of the table and it slipped. Overpriced and weird decoration for a super trendy place.

We entered the cafe on a cold winter day. You really have to say that it is very nicely decorated with stylish music and the service was reasonably nice. What really bothered me, however, is that the still water cost seven euros. This is really a disgrace, as you can buy the same water for one euro right next door at the supermarket. I feel ripped off, never again!

The food tastes wonderful, the prices are very reasonable. However, the staff is very unfriendly, you are asked to pay and leave several times, you don't feel completely comfortable here.

Food looked nothing like it did in the pictures shown which was a big disappointment, because the prices a on the high end, and then you got food which where missing things. People who arrived after us got their food way before we did and we had to wait a long time for food and to pay our bill as well.
