The Harbour Ameland in Wijk 00

Staff were completely disinterested in the guests, orders were incorrect and incomplete. When the food arrived, there was no cutlery on the table. I had to eat my fajita WITHOUT a plate—no one came, even after asking. The drink I ordered never arrived either. The waiter came several times, but nothing happened. The prices were exorbitant. Worst service ever!

A true gem in the island's service desert. Even at 8 p.m., you still feel good sitting down at one of the beautifully decorated tables to enjoy a delicious meal...in our case, the beef fajitas. All side dishes were refilled upon request at no extra charge...we've never experienced anything like that in other restaurants on the island. For us, it's an absolutely comfortable place with a stunning view of the harbor...the name "Habour" is aptly named =)

Had a delicious lunch. Fantastic location. Friendly service, nice atmosphere with Mediterranean music and cozy cushions. Very fresh and delicious dishes. It's great how the Mediterranean dishes get a local twist by using fresh, local ingredients. We had the beef croquettes and tostada pollo advocado (evocado toast with pulled chicken). Everything was super fresh: the vegetables, salad, and guacamole. Highly recommended!

9 euros for a small glass of wine. Those aren't prices anymore.

Too few staff and too little stock, even though it's not even peak season. The food is average. Portions are generous, but the flavors aren't convincing. The big question remains: why a Mexican restaurant? Why not a good seafood restaurant?

The kitchen was understaffed, so we couldn't eat. The location was great! Spacious terrace with a beautiful sunset. Ample parking, and a bouncy castle for the kids.

The "Tostada Chicken Avocado" is a must-try for lunch. Delicious!

Delicious food, but a bit pricey. We had the Mexican tasting, which was very tasty, with two Cokes and two bottles of water. We spent €200 there, including the tip.

Fantastic really big portions so big we couldn't finish them and super nice people we were there on a Friday while on vacation really recommended but tip don't order the nachos xl on your own you won't finish them we went back the next day wow!

What a perfect place to eat!! We went there in the evening. The decor alone looked very nice, not too overly Mexican and cozy. The service (2 ladies when we were there) were super nice and constantly walked around so that no one was short of anything. The food was excellent. From starter to main course to dessert. Everything was fresh and deliciously tasty and in our opinion prepared with love. What a difference from the restaurant we had been to the day before! We highly recommend it and hope to be able to go back there again.

Nice place with traditional Mexican cuisine. Ramon is a top host who understands his profession well. Beer is a bit pricey, but the food more than made up for it. Recommended for every tourist.

Took plenty of time to have lunch here because we arrived far too early for the boat back to the mainland. Very nice staff, not pushy at all. Food was ready quickly. The restaurant looked neat, toilets were neat, clean and tidy.

Very nice service and delicious food. We were offered several fajitas to fill ourselves. There were prawns, chicken, beef and various dips and side dishes. There was also the option to reorder components. The restaurant is cozy and offers a nice view over the mudflats and harbor.

We usually drove past on the way to the village. Something different than a classic eatery or pizzeria. Nicely decorated. Sufficient distance between the tables. Reasonable prices and quite OK food. The hostess managed to serve all guests in a timely manner and with sufficient attention. Reason to come back.

We would have liked to eat there, but unfortunately we were turned away at 6 p.m. despite having made a reservation on December 31, 2024. My wife and 3 children were also thrilled. We will no longer make reservations there and our coffee will be available at Nescafe in the future

Pretty cozy location with even better food. I have got the BBQ ribs with corn on the side and was surprised by the big portion that I‘ve got. The only thing that I missed was a good bbq sauce, but that’s more like a subjective point. Thumbs up 👍🏻

Attractive restaurant with a beautiful terrace at the harbour. Outside there are nice sofas and a beautiful view. The staff is extremely friendly and motivated to ensure guests have a great time. Inside it is exotically decorated and there is a beautiful bar.

When there was little going on, the waitress came to the table quickly and was very friendly. Another time we simply ordered using the QR code at the table. The drinks came quickly, the food was absolutely great. They also asked if we could take a ferry so we didn't miss it. I found that very positive.

It's our first time here on holiday and we've had two restaurants before that we didn't like, but here it's mega, the prices are okay and the food tastes very good. The Harbor can only be recommended. The service is very good, all the employees are extremely friendly and German is also spoken. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back here.

The only restaurant / cafe with a view of the mudflats. Clearly an improvement over the Pirate that was there before. Very quiet. Deserves more visitors in my opinion. Now Mexican map. Mi. not really an improvement.

Ate here for the first time and we will definitely come back again. The food tasted delicious, the portions were ample and it looked delicious. We had the Chicken Nacho xl, the Tropical chicken burger, American pancakes and the chicken nuggets. And for dessert the carrot cake and children's ice cream with a surprise. You also have fantastic views here. The staff was friendly. All in all highly recommended

By far the tastiest nachos! More than enough for 2 people. Friendly employees, clean restaurant, ordering via QR code, but without it is also possible. Beautiful view over the harbor, you can see the ferries arriving and departing. Nice spot, good chairs, benches not tried. One point less for atmosphere because I didn't like the music, but that is very personal.

The view of the kite surfers was great. You sit protected from the wind behind the Plexiglas panes. In the evening you should reserve a table. The service was very attentive.

We had dinner there a few days ago. We have a few comments in the hope that something will be done about them. We didn't think the service was great. You have to wait a long time before you can order some food. The tables where people have just eaten are not cleared while new guests arrive. The food is tasty, but I didn't think the enchiladas were really Mexican, they were previously made or purchased and put in the oven. The enchiladas were thin sheets so I thought that was a bit of a shame. Furthermore, the price is not really clear on the menu. It looks like there are numbers behind it instead of the price. We expected a little more from this restaurant in terms of food and staff, but that's our opinion.

2 Hours Waiting Time and its not full

The local is beautiful (very nice view & deco). Quality food is not the best. We had a misunderstanding with something we order as a starter (it arrived together with the main plat, kids food arrived as the last plat). Management waitress could have handled differently, unprofessional and rude. This was the only restaurant in the island with a bad experience.

The food wasn't outstanding, but still tasty. Unfortunately one of two cocktails wasn't tasty, but one of them was great! The location and location is very nice. You are right at the harbor and can watch the boats and the sea all around, both while sitting inside and outside. The more expensive prices are probably more due to the location than the food.

We had a delicious Mexican meal here. It's more than enough. The tables are spacious and the view is great. The staff is very friendly. We had a fantastic time here with the team two years in a row on the first Friday of the volleyball tournament. Now we got off the boat with a huge disappointment when we saw that this year it was a private wedding!!! We hope to open again next year! Greetings, ladies15

What a unique place this is, with wonderful staff and delicious food! This year was the 3rd year in a row that we have returned here with complete satisfaction. Last summer we also got married at The Harbor and nothing was too crazy! We were very well thought out and a menu was put together especially for us. Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and the beautiful location! It is beautiful not only inside, but also outside! Especially when the nice weather comes out and the marina is full of boats, in combination with the view over the mudflats! Definitely worth experiencing this once. Don't miss Fishmarket Friday and Sateh Saturday to enjoy delicious food for a very reasonable price! For people with children, it is also very nice that there are things to catch crabs in the harbor. This way the kids can have fun and receive an ice cream as a reward when they catch it! How nice!

We came for the fish market Friday, which was music to our ears. Staff is extremely nice and attentive. The food was also very tasty, including the side dishes. The appetizer was also a 10/10. We highly recommend the Gambas, so make friends with the chef, because they are hard to come by. We read online that supplies will run out at some point, so we made an early reservation. On Friday during the May holidays around 6 o'clock it was quite quiet. The only disadvantage is the smell, baking is done in front of you without an extraction system. Overall delicious food and very good service!!

Very nice and cozy place with a relaxed atmosphere. We had to cover 4 hours due to bad weather and the boat and we were certainly able to spend that time well here. We brought our own games to play, which also fit in well with the atmosphere of the restaurant. Service was good and the food arrived quickly every time and was of good quality. Also nice presentation of the food. In other words, definitely recommended!

I had the tastiest latte macchiato here. ☕️ Delicious apple pie (especially the thick whipped cream; yum!👌🏻). Very friendly service. Beautiful place to settle down before or after you get off the boat. Or during a bike ride. I can only recommend it here!👏🏻

Very nice atmosphere. Can no longer be compared with the previous location. Unfortunately, it is set up in a very similar way to the owners' other locations on Ameland, which means that it becomes too repetitive and lacks the personal touch and variety. Was there again now (2024) and has to raise the rating. Went there to the fish market and the price/performance ratio combined with the quality of the food is simply amazing. Will definitely come back.

We met a nice, young, dynamic team during our visit. Nice ambience, with a view of the small harbor, the ferry pier and the coastal strip. Weather was mixed and cold. December 31, 2023 stop. But when the sun is shining it's just fantastic. Gladly again. #drivingschooldogyuma

We hadden met onze groep wad gelopen en waren later dan gereserveerd. Enkelen zaten daardoor in de piepzak omdat zij de laatste boot dreigden te missen. Dit was telefonisch besproken. Het restaurant heeft hier in voorzien door het eten te presenteren op grote plates zodat iedereen gelijk kon eten. De laatste boot werd gehaald met een goed gevulde maag! Top!

Lekker gezeten lekkere taartjes

We waren er om 18:30. Er werden 3 soorten vis gebakken en ze waren heerlijk. Ook de bijgerechten waren lekker en voldoende aanwezig. De dame die de vis bakte was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kortom wij hebben een leuke avond gehad.

Tolles Ambiente, man hat von nahezu jedem Platz einen tollen Blick auf den Hafen. Gut, den muss man letztlich mit bezahlen. Ich hatte nur einen Käsekuchen mit Sahne und einen Cappuccino. Aber allein die Optik, wie der Kuchen serviert wurde, war schon was wert. Und geschmacklich gab es nichts auszusetzen.
