Our go to place when in Amsterdam. Food and service has never let us down. We were there over Christmas and our server Imes was fantastic!!

Very nice place to eat, especially with friends or family! Helped by a nice colleague named Isha. Cheerful, social & enthusiastic!

We had dinner for 4 people. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t meet my or my friend’s expectations; the most disappointing aspect was the level of service. The restaurant wasn’t fully booked, yet we waited quite a long time for our meals and had to ask about them several times. As for the food, the mussels weren’t bad, but they were far from the best I’ve tried in Amsterdam. At least they were fresh, but they lacked flavor. I’m not sure I would return or recommend it.

We were welcomed friendly and with a smile. We got a great table, but could still move if a better spot became available. They actually offered that a little later. The food was very tasty and super fresh. All in all a very nice experience.

The food was okay but it was really busy when we visited and lots of mistakes were made.

We really enjoyed our dinners here. Fresh seafood! Our mussels were amazing too! The space is large and well appointed, the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend if your looking for some flreally good seafood for dinner. Make a reservation!

Nice place to have seafood The service was amazing We had fish and chips Seabass with tomato sauce Grilled Salmon Pumpkin ravioli And the super amazing dish was actually a starter Shrimp in a garlic butter sauce recommended As a tourist we avoid going to restaurants in centers But seafood bar surprise me.. If you are traveling to Amsterdam and you are in the centre Try the Seafood Bar You will find an option to support the right of seafood And the taste is excellent

Very good food. Good with a group of friends or to enjoy your dinner alone. I love it overall, prices though are quite high, but what do you expect in the heart of Amsterdam eating the best lobster and shrimps in town. I loved it!

The food was very very good, the seafood was very fresh and the taste was incredible ! The waiter and environment was also very good, I invite you all to try it ! The only thing that I will say that is negative is maybe the price and portion, for me it’s quite expensive for what you will have in front of you. But overall good experience !

Went there Saturday afternoon as a walk in and was not disappointed! The restaurant, the staff and food were amazing. We had the combination platter (wish I had taken a picture of it) and a bottle of rose which cost €120. It was absolutely worth every cent. I can honestly say this place will be very hard to beat when it comes to sea food. We cannot wait to go back! We must also give a special mention to our server Imes....she was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the Seafood Bar is very lucky to have a member like that on the team.

The atmosphere is pleasant and benefits historical location, in the city center of Amsterdam, in the busiest its busiest street, facing the train station (meaning you have to cross hell of tourists and riots before reaching the place, especially Saturdays), but they have other nicer locations in Amsterdam if you prefer cosy places. The food is fresh and the taste is as expected for the classics. Well presented, a bit low in quantity for some dishes. The selection of wines is more than decent, especially the whites (makes sense for a seafood place) but too many red wines on the contrary, probably answering the lack of taste of some guests to offer so many red with fish, killing the taste, but the choice is yours to take. On that note, the white wine is not always as fresh/cold as it should be and the bottles are overpriced by 3 times what you can find online, besides, they don’t specify the year of production. The service is below average for Europeans standards, but ok for the touristy location: We ordered oysters that never came, and we sadly had a view on our fries (which come from frozen fries by the way) and sweet potato fries, waiting for us on the kitchen counter for 15 min before being able to remind a waiter about them, then got only the fries brought to us, had to remind again the sweet potato fries. By then the fish was mildly cold. And the oyster were on the bill while we didn’t have them so we got them removed. As I worked as a waiter in my past, I understand the rush, but not when there are 4 waiters for 30 tables at 4 pm. All in all, not a bad place to have decent food, if you are patient enough and like good seafood.

the place is beautiful and the atmosphere is lively! Mauricio was so cheerful and attentive and made the experience even better. however the food was mediocre. oysters were fresh but scallops and mixed grill were disappointing. no wow factor or great taste that you wouldn't find in any other average restaurant. the cocktail mule was incredible.

It was a delightful experience. We had the lobster, which was delicious. Our request to order a pair of Oysters, because we wanted to try them, was outdtandingly friendly permitted and our wonderful waitress Aby had the best insidertips to visit for us. It was her recommendation to visit NDSM, where we‘ve spend a beautiful afternoon full of art and with interesting people. Thank you so much for the experience, we’ll come back asap.

The Seafood Bar never disappoints. We love the food and the vibe here.

It was raining heavily right before our reservation and we showed up a little early to see if we could get out of the rain. They had the table ready and were very accommodating. The space, atmosphere and music were all great. Our group of six all loved our food and would definitely recommend others visit this location.

Normally, Seafoodbar is a great choice, but the freshness and service yesterday were disappointing. The table service was poor, and as a regular customer, I feel the need to express my dissatisfaction with the team. I’ll consider Spui or Pijp next time.

I ate at the restaurant with my girlfriend. The food is a bit more expensive, but worth every cent. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was good, but I was a bit cold at the window at the end. The waitress Aimee was very nice and showed me live how to eat seafood. Highly recommended. Thank you The Seafood Bar, thank you Aimee.

I’ve visited the restaurant at Damrak on 08/01 with my brother and we both got a severe food poisoning. I was vomiting on the same day at night. No reaction from the customer service despite the complain. We have shared the oysters . Be careful with your food in this place

One of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam. A mixed grill platter is a must—we enjoyed a variety of perfectly cooked seafood to maximise each ingredient's potential. The staff members were super friendly, and the service was terrific. Since the restaurant is in historical architecture, we also enjoyed the good atmosphere in the beautiful building.

We got the seafood platter for 144 euros, and let me tell you it was FANTASTIC im very picky with my shellfish but this was fantastic, BUT the lobster was a overcooked sponge but still everything else was the upmost quality

How wonderful it is to see that the staff has so much genuine passion and pleasure in their work. The blonde lady who helped us was completely herself and made jokes. The food is superb! The fish and shellfish are very fresh. And an extra plus was that the molluscs can also be ordered during the weekend.

We had great experience at seafood bar damrak location. It’s such a characteric building which is def worth to visit. Aimee was such a friendly person, we enjoy our experience a lot! Highly recommended :)

Very nice place, we were also very lucky to have found a seat near the window overlooking the main street of Amsterdam. As dishes we chose, portion for two of raw seafood, the fish was not very fresh and not very tasty, for the price we expected higher quality. As a side dish we had some very good sweet chips with a gratin of parmesan, bread with a garlic cream and some roasted carrots (these are good but I don't recommend them due to the quantities). Very good dessert. Excellent staff, very helpful and kind.

Excellent location at the heart of Damrak, in the old Stock Exchange Building. Interior is cozy, and we are serviced by Aimee very well! We had the seafood plate and king crab, which contains everything that is super tasty. Pairing with white wine gives us a wonderful evening.

I’ve been to seafood bar Spui location many times, decided to try Damrak. The service was terrible, both waiters were very rude and judgy PLUS my friend and I got the worst food poisoning from oysters. I thought I was gonna die or have to go to ER, I’m not joking…

A lively attractive place to have a fantastic seafood experience! We had no reservation. Luckily we sat at the bar and met Esmeralda who whipped up a great French Martini and Manhattan. She gave great recommendations for appetizers and the main course. Esmeralda was friendly and professional and did a great deal to make our dinner very memorable! Go there….you will love it❤️

It offers a great environment for families, children, and friends to meet and enjoy a meal together. They don’t have their own parking lot, but there are paid indoor parking facilities nearby where you can park and experience the flavors you might have missed in this beautiful seafood restaurant.

Nous avons été accueilli par Paolo, un conational. Nous avons suivi ses conseils: calamari fritti et poulpe pour commencer. Ensuite mixés grill avec homard, dorade royale et turbo en plat. Nous nous sommes régalés, c’était royal!!!! Location au top, bien décorée et un personnel jeune, sympa, dynamique et international. Vraiment à recommander

Je dois dire que mes attentes étaient élevées, elles ont été largement dépassées. Le poulpe, parfaitement cuisiné, était un vrai délice, suivi d’un mixed grill généreux et d’une qualité irréprochable. Le service, quant à lui, était tout aussi remarquable : un accueil chaleureux et souriant du début à la fin. Mention spéciale à Paolo, dont les conseils avisés et l’attention ont rendu cette soirée encore plus agréable. Une adresse que je recommande sans hésitation !

When perfectly prepared seafood meets a historic ambience and perfect, warm-hearted service, it can only be described as a stroke of luck. The offer is not cheap, but it is worth the price. A real recommendation!

I made a reservation for a New Year's Eve dinner for my first time in Amsterdam and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was lovely and romantic. The food was even more exceptional. Aimee was my server and she was so patient with explaining what the specials were even though I kept losing track of the different fish for the catch of the day. She recommended the clams when I wasn't sure which starter to choose, and it was so good! She even offered a loaf of bread for me to dip in the leftover sauce! Then came the cod for my main, and it was equally as delicious. Can't wait for another chance to come back here to try their Fruits de Mer!

We found this place from google maps and for us it was the best place for Amsterdam. You guys should try this place. Do not hesitate to go even they are expensive. They have a lot of options. We ordered mixed grill for 2 person and loved it. I ordered a salla beer and they servet big beer faulty but they understand it eas their fault and didnt change the price. Thank you guys it was awesome
