Toko Bamboe in Spaarndammer- en Zeeheldenbuurt

Great store with delicious food, super friendly service, and very sweet owners. We regularly get takeout and always enjoy the food, and so does our daughter. So glad it's just around the corner.

I go to this place for takeaway at least once a week and have enjoyed every meal. The staff are really warm and welcoming. The rendang here is a must-try and probably the best in the city.

The food itself is tasty, but the portions are incredibly small. The meat and vegetables, in particular, are a fraction of what you get at other Asian restaurants, for a much higher price.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst Indonesian Toko type of meal in a long time. Bami was sinking in sauce, there was barely any vegetarian toppings available at 6:00 pm and the girl who was serving wasn’t friendly at all. I recommend a longer cycle to Toko Bersema

Super delicious food, everything tastes fresh and just as it should. You can tell it's made with love. And the family that runs it is so sweet and hospitable. Always friendly, you immediately feel welcome. A truly great place in the neighborhood; I love coming here often!

Don't get me wrong, we love coming here! Lately, it just seems like the portions are getting smaller (see the photo of the approximately 5 pieces of chicken as one of the two meats), and they're always out of something (and you have to wait 15 minutes for an egg), even though you pay for it and sometimes don't have time to wait. That's a shame, because it sometimes makes us less inclined to come back.

What a gem in the Spaarndammerbuurt! Really delicious authentic Indonesian food! For me, the sweet chicken and rendang are highly recommended. But we haven't tasted everything yet :). In short, we're going there for a nice meal!

I went here for the first time yesterday and the food was super tasty. You can choose everything yourself and they will put it together for you. Nice and spicy and a good portion. Unfortunately the satay was not available.

The food here is delicious! I've been back many times and the Bami and Fried rice are the real standouts. You can pick from a variety of options like different meats, veggies, tofu, etc. The prices offer a great balance between quality and quantity. You should definitely give it a try!

The people working here have always been super nice to me, and explained all the different dishes. Food is delish for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. I especially like the slightly sour dishes. The amount of food packed can vary a bit between orders, and somehow the hours happen to fall so that whenever I'm craving this place it's closed!

Op de valreep super veel zin in real Indonesisch eten en kwamen deze toko tegen. Wederom de beste Nasi Goreng Rames die ik ooit in Amsterdam gegeten heb. Je proeft dat het verse ingredienten zijn! De mensen die ons hielpen waren ook ongelofelijk vriendelijk, we komen graag terug als we weer in de buurt zijn. Bedankt voor alles!

If you are looking for the authentic Indonesian food, then Toko Bamboe is the answer. As an Indonesian, I proudly say that Toko Bamboe is the best Indonesian food in Amsterdam. The sauce is generous. Best. The staff were very friendly. The atmosphere felt like home. Try their sayur koolrabi. Very delicious. And toko Bamboe has lots varieties of vegetarian/vegan food. Success for Toko Bamboe. I hope you guys can open more restaurants in Amsterdam 🥰🥰

We recently moved out of the neighborhood and what we miss the most is by far the owners and their amazing food. We have to keep on coming back, even now we live on the other side of town. Love you guys!

My wife grew up in Indonesia, and I've visited her family there several times, so I've had the chance to learn a bit about the cuisine. And all I can say is that the food at Toko is the real deal; incredibly tasty, fragrant with flavour, and like eating a refined home-cooked meal. My wife agrees! Long live this place!

Vriendelijk personeel. Goed op smaak traditionele gerechten, niet bijzonder veel keuze. Überhaupt kan er gewerkt worden aan de opschepkunsten. Matige portie (weinig kleine schepjes) en te veel vocht/saus meegeschept, waardoor de bami net op een udonsoep leek toen het opgewarmd was.

Great selection of vegetarian options and esp. after not being able to visit South East Asia this summer it was delicious to get some authentic takeout food right here.
