As always, it was a treat. The service is fast, and the food is very good. We never actually reach 15 rounds, hahaha.

I happened to be passing by and, feeling hungry, I simply asked a waiter outside if it would be possible to eat with my parents. He immediately took care of everything and found us a table. I'm so grateful to him because it was a wonderful discovery! Incredible value for money and the food was as delicious as the service and the warm welcome!

An original idea with a very fresh execution.

An all-you-can-eat deal that seems enticing at first glance. But if you look beyond the glitz and glamour, you'll find that what you order doesn't arrive in the order you ordered it; everything comes in a jumble of two pieces, and if you don't like something, you're forced to eat it or you'll pay extra. I really want to point out the complete absence of a goodbye or a "have a good evening," or even a request to check if everything was alright, despite the fact that you'll see a waitress at least 15 times throughout the evening. Furthermore, be sure to request a quiet seat, or you risk ending up like we did, right next to the dishwashing area and leaving dazed by the noise.

Had a delicious meal. Good sushi.

An all-you-can-eat option where everything is wonderfully delicious. If, however, you just want to have a drink on the terrace, head straight to one of the neighboring taverns; you'll save precious time waiting for service.

We had an absolutely wonderful evening at Tokyoto Maastricht! The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the whole experience was truly memorable. A very special thank you to Angelo, who made our evening exceptional. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire dinner. Thanks to him, we had such a fantastic experience. Choose what you want to eat yourself. Fortunately, the dishes here are not too salty (unlike other sushi restaurants). Reasonably fast service. Reservations are always recommended.

Almost 2 years ago right after the reno we were impressed with the friendliness, speed and quality but were a bit disappointed after finally being able to go back last week. The place is still Nice looking and set up well, plates are lovely. The speed is still there but all these different servers bringing you one dish don’t acknowledge you…they just flop it down without some much like a “hi” or looking at the customers. It’s feels very much like a factory belt. The man at the entrance could be a lot more welcoming, he was quite rude and short in his approach. The sushi would go down better if some were not so big but smaller and therefor more refined…would be more economical for the restaurant itself too. A perfect mouthful in stead of have to bite half off and it falling apart after is a shame. All of our glasses were greasy as was the table, having a server with very long nails looked very unappatizing, another smelled strongly of weed, there was actually a joint on the ledge right next to the exit.

We really liked to be there and it was both peaceful and modern.

My friend and I went to Maastricht for a day trip. We spent a long time deciding where to have lunch—we were craving Asian food—and found this restaurant. We liked the ratings and decided to give it a try. We were afraid, however, that we'd order something we didn't like and have to pay 3 euros per item, as we'd already read a review about this possibility. But nothing of the sort happened. Everything we tried was truly delicious. You could tell the ingredients were truly fresh. We sat on the terrace, at a wonderful table in the corner, away from everyone else. We both don't smoke, and it's incredibly important to us not to have the smell of cigarettes around us, especially while we're eating. We were lucky that this table was available, and a very nice lady let us stay there even though we hadn't booked anything in advance. I'd especially like to mention Yating; she created such an incredible atmosphere for us that we want to come back again and again. Since it was our first time, she explained everything in detail and answered our questions. Her sincere smile and genuine desire to make our guests' stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, especially considering the volume of guests at this establishment, truly deserve respect. This is what is called "personalized service." And that's so rare to find in the Netherlands. More often, you see tired faces and a desire for everyone to quickly finish eating and then get on with their walk. This happened at this restaurant too: different waiters approached us, and not all of them were pleasant, but it's understandable. They were tired, having been on their feet all day. So this isn't a negative review, but simply highlighting a fact. All it takes is one bright person who cares and genuinely creates service, like our wonderful Yating, and then the overall rating of the stay becomes a 10 out of 10. After all, food is only 50% of the overall experience; the rest comes from the place itself, the interior, and the personality of the person providing the service. Overall, the place is wonderful. We definitely recommend it.

Nice location, choice of 3 types of menus, a pity that they differ so enormously in price. Service was standard without much fuss. Food was okay and arrived relatively quickly.

It was delicious again. Ate too much again. The service was friendly, but not very smart. Often the wrong dishes were served, only to be taken out of the way. I do notice that there is increasingly more rice around the sushi. A pity.

The food was fine, but not particularly special for a sushi all-you-can-eat. We went for the Deluxe version, which was definitely worth it, with tasty sashimi and ribeye that were excellent! The only downside was the sweet white wine, which tasted like the green soda you used to get at home.

We had made a reservation for Monday, arrived there, our reservation wasn't on the list, and we had to leave!! He was rude!

This restaurant is often recommended to me, but it's disappointing. I didn't find it exceptional, and the service wasn't great—not a smile, not a word when they came to serve or clear our table. A mixed experience.

Tokyoto is a place where Japanese small plates/tapas reign supreme. I love the concept of ordering a wide variety of items using a tablet, and I was more than satisfied. The service was very fast despite the restaurant being quite full (perhaps a victim of its own success?). There were plenty of waiters and waitresses, so the service was excellent. Definitely worth trying in Maastricht. The decor is lovely overall, and the food was truly delicious.

Great service and super fast, the all-you-can-eat food was also delicious, and the people were very friendly too.

The setting is beautiful, especially on the terrace. It's in the same league as other restaurants of this type. A major drawback is the rice, which doesn't stay together, but on the other hand, the fish portions are very generous. I was a bit shocked by the price of a carafe of water, and normally my review should have ended there. Unfortunately, two cases of food poisoning later, I just hope I'm the unlucky table, but I prefer to warn others anyway...

Fine apple pie, mediocre "Limburg" flan, and cold drinks. It is very annoying, though, that you have to order using gestures; not a single server speaks even a little Dutch. It is difficult to communicate on a Maastricht terrace. Quick service!

I have been coming to Tokyoto since more than 10 years. I don’t even live in Maastricht anymore but everytime I visit Maastricht, we go to Tokyoto. Awesome selection of sushi’s, fried dishes. vegetables, everything. Try not to eat too much 😊

Poor service. We were asked to pay while we were still eating. The waitress was quite pushy and didn’t give us the time to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed at 7:00 p.m., even though it was a beautiful summer day. Many people were still coming in, hoping to eat or have a drink, but they were turned away. Such a shame!

They make you wait at the door with a complete ignorence just to tell they are full. Do not expect to be seated or attended in a way although they write "Please wait to be seated" at the entrance. I normally do not make negative comments at first sight but I believe this restaurant deserves it because 7-8 waiters passing by the clients waiting at the the door had the same ignorant attitude. For food I have nothing to say. I could not try and I will not return back to try another time.

Nice all-you-can-eat sushi place

Used to be one of my favourite all you can eat restaurants in town. Over the years the quality and quantity has decreased significantly, enough for me to consider not coming back.

Went to eat there with my partner (: On a busy Sunday, they only had space outside without reservation. But that did not take down the quality of the food and service. Food came out quick, fresh and hot. The home made iced tea is delicious! And I loved the kimchi!

The cafe used to be cool, but with the new policy, it's lost its relevance for me. Paying 3 euros for an unfinished dish is terrible; no one is guaranteed that the dish will be tasty. The whole point of this concept was to give you the opportunity to try different dishes—the key word being "try"—it's impossible to know in advance whether you'll like it or not. But now we're being asked to pay for this opportunity.

Lots of choices and very good food. Every 10 minutes you can order 5 individual dishes, for two hours in total. Fast service and very polite employees. If you find yourself in Maastricht, definitely go, it's next to the river, amazing view.

It was nice to be in Maastricht for a change. Tokyoto is a sushi restaurant with delicious sushi dishes. We sat outside on the terrace. We had a wonderful meal and drinks, lovely weather, and a very beautiful view over the Maas. Prompt service. Highly recommended.

Regular customers for several years. Always very good and not many price increases. No complaints.

The restaurant is easily accessible. Reservations are recommended. There are two floors, so that larger groups can also sit separately if desired. Restrooms are located on the -1 floor and are only accessible via stairs, making them somewhat more difficult to access for people with reduced mobility.

I go there 2 or 3 times a month and honestly, I'm never disappointed, except when it's really crowded, but oh well, no big deal! Best all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant in the area!

I left some food because it had a disappointing taste and I was not hungry enough to eat it. I was lectured about leaving the food. Totally unacceptable.

Great food. Great sushi. The only thing that I did not enjoyed was the miso shiru (miso soup). It was a 3 out of 10, and the guioza, they were store bought 5 out of 10. I strongly recommend this place. Staff was 5 stars, they were nice.

The food was not freshly prepared! There was a load of sauce on everything! The fruit was dried out! The carpaccio was dried out too! The Dutch shrimp salad was bone dry and you had to search for the shrimp! The person who came to settle the bill with me acknowledged the facts and said we were right! The branch manager thought his food was more than good! And according to him, we didn't need to eat at his place! If you claim to be the best sushi restaurant in Maastricht!! You have no taste yourself or you don't know what sushi is! And you have no idea what the word 'daily fresh' means! After 1 round we asked for the bill and without shame we had to pay almost €110! Even 1 star is too much! We were served rudely and they didn't even ask why we were leaving! A shameless display! We had a choice of two tables, so I immediately dismiss the idea that you made room for us as a fairy tale! And daily fresh products don't dry out that quickly! So goodbye daily fresh products! And what is also very noticeable, of course, is that you have a similar answer to almost every review! And if people get up and pay after just one round, you should have asked right away why and if we could do something for you, etc.! Instead of reacting a little uninterestedly and mentioning that you hadn't asked them to come and eat there! A correction to the bill would also have been more than polite! But unfortunately, it is apparently not your fault at all, but the customer's! Good luck! Ultimately, this quality and attitude will bring you little to nothing in the long run!

All you can eat at a very competitive price considering the quality; I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend the premium menu, which offers more choices, especially for fish lovers. One small point to note: each order via the tablet is limited to 10 items, with only one premium choice per order. This is clearly explained once the menu is selected. Drinks are not included. You have two hours to enjoy your meal, which gives you plenty of time to indulge. The desserts are delicious and perfect for finishing the meal. Overall, a great experience; I recommend it!

The food's not bad, but the tablet system isn't working properly (it's buggy), dishes are thrown together assembly-line style, and in the end you pay without even a goodbye. You just pay and leave.

Good sushi restaurant in Maastricht! Perfect for big groups and celebrations

Good vibes and chill, you 2h and half to order whatever you want every 10min. But you need to finish. I think there were things not super fresh because too much varieties but food was good. A lot of choices nut don't have fresh juices. Some of waiters were not very nice but that's ok.

I recently visited this Asian buffet and was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. The variety of dishes was impressive—everything from fresh sushi and flavorful stir-fries to tender meats and comforting noodle soups. Each item tasted freshly prepared. The staff kept the dining area clean and were quick to refill popular items without hesitation. For the price, the value is excellent. You get plenty of options, fresh ingredients, and a relaxed atmosphere perfect for family meals, casual dates, or group gatherings. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends who enjoy a wide selection of Asian flavors in one place!

We live in Maastricht and regularly eat at Tokyoto. It's a great restaurant, delicious food at an affordable price, friendly staff, we can recommend it to everyone.

The food is excellent, but you have to appreciate the 'unlimited' concept. I don't like the tablet ordering system; it depersonalizes the order-taking process. The food service is incredibly fast. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. However, in cold weather, avoid sitting at a table near the outside door, as it doesn't close properly.

Mediocre, I've had worse, but certainly for this price I've also had much better!

SHAMEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never received such a terrible welcome as at Tokyoto in Maastricht. I had a reservation at 8:30 PM, arrived at 8:35 PM, and the receptionist kindly asked me to wait 5 minutes. So far, nothing unusual. But a few minutes later, I saw a man refuse entry to a family who had arrived at 8:40 PM, even though they had a reservation at 8:30 PM, on the pretext that the restaurant closes at 10 PM and they would only have an hour to eat. I then asked when my table would be ready. The man told me he wasn't going to "kick people out" and decided to check the cameras to see exactly what time I arrived. He noted that I was there at 8:35 PM, but blamed us, specifying that I would only have an hour for dinner. In every restaurant in the world, there's a minimum level of tolerance—a "quarter of an hour of courtesy"—but not here, apparently. He finally left without saying anything, leaving us standing at the reception desk with the woman, completely apologetic and distraught, who advised us to go elsewhere without even offering us a solution. Frankly, shameful. Such a way of treating customers is unacceptable. I will never set foot in that restaurant again.

Service is good and food is tasty

Don't go here if you have a stroller. We had booked three days in advance (with a stroller) and were given what was probably the most illogical table in the restaurant. Our stroller blocked the way to the restroom, causing people to constantly bump into it. It was also very drafty, and the waiters had to reach over the stroller with the hot food. (We could already see this going wrong.) When we asked to be seated elsewhere, they said it wasn't possible! We'd have to climb two flights of stairs. I initially thought it was a joke, but alas, we got up and left. This was also the second time we'd gotten up in such a short time. Terribly terrible service!

We think this is the best sushi place in Maastricht. The seating is great inside, and the food comes quickly. You sometimes have to wait a bit longer for drinks, but that's no problem. It's the first place I've been able to order a 0.5-liter sparkling ice tea. Highly recommended if you're in Maastricht!

The food was not the best quality. The waiters were very unmotivated and didn’t interact with us at all. One girl ignored us even. For the price, the lunch menu was okay but honestly there are better options around 😅

Worst place i have ever tried, it looks like a nice place but that is all that they have, the sushi is warm and looks rotten in many occasions, all of the soups and ramens taste bad like water, about the drinking water, we paid 6,20 euros for a big bottle and it looked like it was refilled in the sink. Some of the sushis came very spicy when in the menu it didnt say so, and then they get mad if you comment anything. The manager looks down on everyone and shows how sad of a person he is an how little he cares about customers, i have tried many all you can eat places to say that this place is a waste of money and i dare to say a health hazard, please dont go

Relaxed setting with good food.

Beautiful restaurant with good quality food. We love coming here whenever we're in Maastricht. The price/quality ratio is excellent.

My friends wanted to eat there, but I didn't because I'm pregnant, so we weren't allowed to eat there and had to get up. I've never experienced anything so outrageous.
