The food is excellent, but you have to appreciate the 'unlimited' concept. I don't like the tablet ordering system; it depersonalizes the order-taking process. The food service is incredibly fast. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. However, in cold weather, avoid sitting at a table near the outside door, as it doesn't close properly.

Delicious sushi and friendly service. We had the deluxe menu, and the extra selection of dishes was good. The sashimi was beautifully sliced and of good quality. We arrived early, so it was very quiet at first. But it quickly became pleasantly busy.

SHAMEFUL! Run away! They didn't take note of our reservation. After days of looking forward to eating there, we arrived and there was no reservation. They couldn't care less, and the server didn't even finish our conversation and left. He didn't even try to find a solution. The manager's attitude is shameful! He's rude. He couldn't care less about our situation. Run away. And they're harassing us by phone to get us to delete this comment.

SHAMEFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never received such a terrible welcome as at Tokyoto in Maastricht. I had a reservation at 8:30 PM, arrived at 8:35 PM, and the receptionist kindly asked me to wait 5 minutes. So far, nothing unusual. But a few minutes later, I saw a man refuse entry to a family who had arrived at 8:40 PM, even though they had a reservation at 8:30 PM, on the pretext that the restaurant closes at 10 PM and they would only have an hour to eat. I then asked when my table would be ready. The man told me he wasn't going to "kick people out" and decided to check the cameras to see exactly what time I arrived. He noted that I was there at 8:35 PM, but blamed us, specifying that I would only have an hour for dinner. In every restaurant in the world, there's a minimum level of tolerance—a "quarter of an hour of courtesy"—but not here, apparently. He finally left without saying anything, leaving us standing at the reception desk with the woman, completely apologetic and distraught, who advised us to go elsewhere without even offering us a solution. Frankly, shameful. Such a way of treating customers is unacceptable. I will never set foot in that restaurant again.

Don't go here if you have a stroller. We had booked three days in advance (with a stroller) and were given what was probably the most illogical table in the restaurant. Our stroller blocked the way to the restroom, causing people to constantly bump into it. It was also very drafty, and the waiters had to reach over the stroller with the hot food. (We could already see this going wrong.) When we asked to be seated elsewhere, they said it wasn't possible! We'd have to climb two flights of stairs. I initially thought it was a joke, but alas, we got up and left. This was also the second time we'd gotten up in such a short time. Terribly terrible service!

We think this is the best sushi place in Maastricht. The seating is great inside, and the food comes quickly. You sometimes have to wait a bit longer for drinks, but that's no problem. It's the first place I've been able to order a 0.5-liter sparkling ice tea. Highly recommended if you're in Maastricht!

Worst place i have ever tried, it looks like a nice place but that is all that they have, the sushi is warm and looks rotten in many occasions, all of the soups and ramens taste bad like water, about the drinking water, we paid 6,20 euros for a big bottle and it looked like it was refilled in the sink. Some of the sushis came very spicy when in the menu it didnt say so, and then they get mad if you comment anything. The manager looks down on everyone and shows how sad of a person he is an how little he cares about customers, i have tried many all you can eat places to say that this place is a waste of money and i dare to say a health hazard, please dont go

The person welcoming guests was neither polite nor friendly, instead of a warm greeting, his attitude felt ironic and unwelcoming. What bothered me most was how he handled the fact that we had a 1.5-year-old baby with us. He asked twice whether he should charge for the baby. It felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, almost as if next time they might even ask for an ID for a toddler.

We casually picked this place for our dinner without reservations. They were able to arrange table for us ( family of three ) wait time was very less . Reservations are recommended when you go with the group . It’s first time for us , It was a buffet and the staff explained on how to order , what was included in the price and other details . The one request from the staff was to not waste the food and finish the food before ordering another one . Food was amazing. It’s a nice place to try various types of dishes. We tried ribs / shrimps / beef noodle soup / duck breast / fish / Mussels few other starters. The quantity of each food was less than usual. The food we wanted to order was placed in the tablet and the service was very quick , that’s very surprising for us . ( not like other usual restaurants) . Spicy shrimp was must try. out of all the dishes we ordered the least rating is to duck breast ., way too small and taste was not that great .

Excessive prices for the lunch menu offered. There is a similar restaurant to this one in Belgium that is well above "do eat" and cheaper in terms of prices! Too bad... we won't be going back!

Good Food for the price you pay, especially for an all you can eat restaurant. The place was packed when we arrived but the staff was accommodating and made space for us. It was busy at dinner but we also had enough privacy to have a good dinner and conversations. What sets Toktoto from other all you can eat places in the area is their variety, even with the standard option. We were happy with the options we had, the food quality and atmosphere. Sometimes the order was slow as the restaurant got busier but that's to be expected and we weren't in a hurry. Unsure if it was because the servers had a long day and were overwhelmed with the crowd ,but the service left us wanting for more. Plates tossed to the table, no smile, no eye contact; a better service could've made a difference in the experience.

Lovely all-you-can-eat restaurant with great aesthetics and generally polite and helpful waiters (though a few cannot speak Dutch [well]; such is the international student life!). Not much contact is needed anyway, you make use of the tablet to order five foods per 10-minute round over the course of two and a half hours. The price is acceptable and honestly even good if you take full advantage of it. Certain drinks feel a bit too expensive, but honestly, the vast majority of what you’re getting is good quality.

We were disappointed with our experience at Tokyoto. Having not made a reservation, we were unable to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat menu and ate à la carte on the terrace. Be sure to book if you want to eat there. The wait to order was long, probably because only one server was handling orders for the entire terrace at that time. Fortunately, once the order was placed, the service was quick. Food-wise, the gyosa were truly delicious, but the sushi lacked flavor and richness. On the other hand, the Sex on the Beach mocktail was very good and well-balanced. Overall, the experience didn't live up to our expectations, but perhaps the all-you-can-eat menu is more worth it.

The sushi is very good and high-quality; for the price, you get a lot. The servers aren't very friendly, but there's a language barrier, so you can't blame them. I recommend it for sushi lovers, but you have to have time because you can only order every 10 minutes. To eat well and fully enjoy the menu, you should plan on spending at least an hour and a half. Sushi was with a lot of sauce, no taste. All tables were super close together, a lot of noise, if you want to smoke a cigarette they make it difficult, once you are allowed to go they walk outside with you until you are done smoking. When you get to the bill, 218€ for 2 people, had deluxe and weekend rate .. speak almost no Dutch. In the evening after dinner everyone has stomach ache. People who don't eat fish are actually looked at stupidly! When you indicate that you don't eat fish you get the response "what are you doing in a sushi restaurant" "you can eat more than just fish but oh well. Bad business!!

Great concept, tablet ordering with a huge selection. Small portions. In the formula I chose, I can order 5 rounds of 5 dishes. I've been there three times and I've never been able to finish all 5 courses. The dishes are well cooked, with disconcerting speed. The downside is the almost non-existent service. The waiters and waitresses are decent but they don't have time to linger. The time is also limited, you have two hours maximum, which makes the experience less pleasant and a bit rushed. Very reasonable prices for the quantity. Happy big eaters.

Nous étions 5personnes + 1 enfants 2,5 an. 3 ont commandé pour manger le brunch pour 24 eur. Et nous avons commandé 15 pièces de sushi, puisque 24 eur =5 pièces. Surprise, toute les personnes assises ont du payer 24 eur et la petite 13, 5. Ceci seulement justifié sur le fait que nous étions assis avec les autres membres de notre famille. Ceux qui n'ont pas commandé à manger ont bu un café, c'est tout. Attention à l'arnaque !! Great food and a nice atmospheric restaurant! Tip for the chefs: the vegetarian fried dishes had mayonnaise with pieces of crab. It would be nice if that could be mayonnaise without crab.

I walked over today to look at the menu on the window, an unfriendly waiter told me they were closed and went inside. The second waiter told me they opened at noon. All we did was look at the menu, and we were already being kicked out. We went elsewhere. What unpleasant characters!

It's slowly getting dirtier here. I've been coming here for 20 years. It used to be beautiful, but without maintenance, furniture replacement, and cleaning, this restaurant is becoming an unsanitary mess. And that for a hospital... Sick people, students, visitors, and staff come here. Shame on you...

What a lovely way to end our day in Maastricht! 🍕 At TOMATO, we enjoyed delicious pizzas, super friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. After a quick call, we were told that Frenkie the Frenchie was also very welcome — super fun! 🐶 Inside, the seating is a bit close together, so it's nice and lively… or as they say here: "Noisy?
