I always order here and they have the best carnitas!! Dont understand why their rating isn’t higher. Definitely my fav burrito shop. They also always give some extra tortilla chips with my order as well. thank you🫶

The burrito chorizo ranchero style look intimidating but it's fresh and delicious. Service is authentic as you're used to in Central America. Just 2 tables but you make the party, not them. Pairs really well with a cerveza Pacific Clara ... But not every week. Keep going the business as you always did, maybe size down portions as it's best to enjoy the moment instead of taking the doggy bag home! Would always come back.

I actually don’t know why its got just 4.1 stars. It was very tasty and the nice personal helped us choosing the right thing, even giving us samples of dips. Very sweet, big amount of very tasty mexican food and fair pricing.

Got an Uber eats delivery from this place. Because of the foil packaging used for delivery the soft shell tacos were completely wet as if they were drenched in water, which completely ruined the experience. For some reason they were rolled as if they were a doner and once opened - falling apart in mushy chunks. Quesadilla as well, all glued together in a cardboard box, completely wet and not crunchy at all. I can imagine under normal circumstances the food could have been nice, but sadly I'll never find out. I hope they will figure out how to package delivery orders in a way that doesn't ruin the food.

Ordered via Uber eats so can't say anything about the atmosphere. Chicken quesadilla and burrito fajita Tempe, both super tasty, very good portion, and very nice that you get some chips with it!

It's good if you're ready to wait 25 minutes for your 16 euro burrito. They're stingy on the steak.

Burritos Ranchero style. Delicious food, shared a portion for 2 people. He was a bit lukewarm inside. Could have been a bit warmer.

Delicious Mexican food. There are only two tables to sit so consider take away.

I ordered via Uber eats, so I can't speak for the establishment itself. What I can say is that I did not get what I ordered. I ordered a brunch burrito and received a bean, rice, and cheese mush inside a tortilla. Not what I ordered and not remotely appetizing.

I went there very late with my family, they were about to close but we could still eat take-away. I asked for something crispy, but they only had nachos, the rest wasn’t crispy. When we all ordered he put a bag full of tortilla chips in the order and he said it’s on the house! 5 stars

Nice selection of foods. Big portions. Fast service. My buts: my burrito was was warmish but not hot. And, to my taste, it could have been a bit more spicy.

Not good. Almost €16 for a burrito that is basically filled with only rice and beans and a little bit of chicken.

Better off purchasing black beans and jalapeños from a can/jar and grabbing day old bagged vegetables, meat, and cold unmelted cheese from the Jumbo. Save your money. A complete waste. Disaster.

Best burrito in Amsterdam, in my opinion.

Tomatillo used to be good quality Mexican Tex mex in Amsterdam. Never again. Chorizo is a special pork sausage special meat. It has now been changed to ground beef. It is DISGUSTING and a poor substitute with ground beef. Fool those you wish but the quality has failed so significantly this place deserves no accolades at all. Hardly any cheese - in fact I’d say none to find. Sell it to Dutch who do not know but for expats Do Not Go Here. Sorry I paid such a high price for such poor (and not true) food. Shame on you.

Al sinds de opening, in een ver verleden, haal ik hier gemiddeld twee keer per maand een heerlijke vegetarische Burrito met ananas salsa. Aanrader.

Usually love the burritos when we go eat at the shop instead of ordering takeout because its nice when they’re still warm, but this time they were cold. When mentioning this we just got an “oh sorry”. Then when we were about to leave, they guy at the register waved us to come back and pay an extra 1,75 for the extra sour cream we ordered. Not a great experience.

To start I’m American and I love Tex mex. I got the chorizo burrito with pineapple salsa. It was authentic and a large portion, I recommend the burrito. My wife got a cheese quesadilla and was very happy with her choice. We got chips that were good but a little too salty. We will go back before we leave.

A bit expensive for the quality

Al eens eerder wat gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening, Steak burrito creme fraiche en biertje besteld, guacamole als side. Kreeg daar een bakje torilla chips bij:-)Alles lekker vers! Deze Tomatillo tienda kan zich makkelijk meten met de betere toko`s Bay area :-) na teleurstelling Heinekenplein, hier maar weer langs geweest.

As a Californian, I would say that I know what authentic Mexican food tastes like. It was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly. Definitely would recommend.

I feel very sorry to say that I was really disappointed with the burrito I had at this place. There were many things wrong with it, it was barely warm, the meat was almost not seasoned at all, the beans were overcooked, the Pico de gallo was so stale I could not taste it, the cheese wasn't even melted. I saw a lot of reviews saying that this place made the best burritos in Amsterdam and I refuse to believe it now. Even on a bad day you can't really mess it up this bad in my opinion, I gave 2 stars instead of 1 just because the girl at the front was nice and friendly. Something in the kitchen must have gone very wrong and I hope they fix it if you want to give it a go as well

Definitely the best burritos I’ve had in Amsterdam - by far, and I’ve tried almost all of them! Super highly recommended. If you like black beans, you’ll love theirs. Perfect texture and flavor.

Tuve un burrito con pollo y fue bastante soso. Esto no tiene nada que ver con la comida mexicana. Yo diría que incluso Salsa Shop es mucho mejor y tienen el mismo precio, lo que definitivamente no es barato.
