I used to go there quite often. But last time I got sick.

We're staying in Vaals for a few days. After dinner at the hotel, we wandered around looking for a restaurant for the following evening. This restaurant was pleasantly packed on Sunday evening. On Monday, it's one of the few open, and it has a good, extensive menu. There's a lot of choice for vegetarians. Good wine, nemea, delicious food, and friendly service made our evening complete. Ouzo on the house, and an extra round of wine made the evening complete. After the bill, another drink on the house, and how incredibly kind, a bottle of olive oil. Highly recommended. If you don't like Greek food, there's also a pizza option.

It was fine, but we were still eating the appetizer and the main course was already there. And it got cold quickly (cold plates).

Unfortunately, and perhaps we were unlucky, this was completely tasteless. The food looked like it had come straight out of the microwave. We've been traveling to Greece for 30 years and know how delicious the food can be there. A one-time mistake perhaps?

The place is packed every evening, which is understandable since you're always greeted and served warmly. It's a very welcoming establishment where you feel comfortable. Unfortunately, the food quality is somewhat inconsistent; sometimes very good, sometimes just average. Bifteki is always a good choice!

We had a delicious meal for a very reasonable price. Friendly staff, and the house ouzo came as an aperitif. Reservations are recommended, especially if you want to sit on the slightly quieter veranda. Enjoy!!

Very bad food: baked (fried) feta cheese doesn't taste like feta; you can't really guess what it's supposed to be, definitely not feta. The Greek salad was a joke, the vegetarian pita was raw inside, not tasty ;( Almost everything on the plates was frozen food that had been fried or baked. On top of that, the dishes were garnished with spoiled, old lettuce. Simply disgusting. If this is run by the Greeks, I don't think they can eat it themselves! We definitely don't recommend it!!!!

Delicious! The restaurant was packed, but they made room for six of us. We ordered the Trojan platter for six, and it was DELICIOUS! The staff was very friendly and kind. The ouzo was also a plus.

A very good Greek restaurant in Vaals, the Netherlands. They have a fairly extensive menu, mainly serving Greek food. The dishes are plentiful and the prices are quite affordable. The staff and owners are attentive, and the atmosphere is very casual and family-friendly.

We ate there again today after a long time. We had the gyro special. The gyro was swimming in grease and tasted accordingly. The meat was poorly seasoned. The fries were the tastiest. But at €4.50 for a small bowl, they were way overpriced. The place is very loud, and it's almost impossible to have a conversation. The service was okay. I'm surprised at the good reviews. Last time for me. Sorry.

Just finished eating. Simply fantastic. Tzatziki with flatbread to start, fantastic. Sea bass with fries and salad, fantastic. And a glass of ouzo on the house to start, fantastic.

An excellent authentic Greek restaurant. The food and drinks are delicious and the staff is very pleasant. The ambience and music are in Greek style. The prices are affordable. Parking is easy to find across the street. A very nice experience and we will definitely visit the restaurant again.

Waarschijnlijk hebben ze verkeerd ingeschat dat we toeristen waren. Helaas voor hen zijn we toekomstige locals!! Het eten kwam binnen 10 minuten nadat we hadden besteld. Dit kan geen goed teken zijn. Het leek op een opgewarmde hap overgebleven restjes van voorgangers. Liefdeloos op een bord gemikt. Geen aparte schotel met bord zodat je zelf kunt kiezen waarmee je begint. Een spies teruggestuurd omdat die gewoon nog koud was van de koeling. Geen haar op mijn hoofd die eraan denkt ooit familie, vrienden of kennissen hiermee naartoe te nemen laat staan dat ik collega’s adviseer om hier te gaan eten. De plaatselijke kebabzaak zal je gerecht warmer en verser serveren. Grote teleurstelling. Locatie is leuk en dat is hun kracht.

That was disappointing! We'll be moving to Vaals soon, but this was our first and last time here. The service was okay, but the meat was dry and clearly reheated. The gyros wasn't crispy at all, and the whole thing lacked seasoning. The grilled vegetables were probably from yesterday (you could tell by the color). It's been a long time since I've had such disappointingly bad Greek food.

The food was delicious, the meat cooked to perfection. The staff was very attentive, and plenty of ouzo was served at our table. The atmosphere is lively, rather loud.

Yesterday I discovered a new place: a cozy Greek-style restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. ❤️ You can feel the Ellada atmosphere there: warm, inviting, and full of charm. They serve delicious, traditional Greek food 🤗 with a wide selection. The moussaka is absolutely delicious. Thank you for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you.

Food was bad, Girosschotel was dry and cold. My wife had a sea bass but it looked like nothing, and was completely fried. In any case, we will never go back.

It's a fairly large restaurant, the annex is a bit quieter, we ate very tasty Greek food, classic moussaka and bifteki, we had barely sat at the table and already had an ouzo on the table, the service was very attentive and the food was delicious, in the summer you can also sit outside, gladly again.

We have been to the old location years ago. It was nice to be back in the new restaurant. Very tasty food (also vegetarian), nice atmosphere and a delicious glass of ouza beforehand. Unfortunately we are not from the area (Amsterdam area), but we would DEFINITELY like to come back again. Thank you for the Limburg/Greek hospitality.

Looked nice. Friendly service young man. Took a bifteki. When asked if I liked it, an older gentleman indicated that I found the bifteki dry. The answer I received was that that is always the case when it is grilled. I have eaten this many times before and know that it is certainly not necessary. Sorry about the answer. This is a one-off for us.

We cannot judge service and atmosphere because it was take away....but the food was really not good, not tasty. No taste, too hard, weak, ... ordered here because of the high number of stars, but what a disappointment this was. Not at all comparable to real Greek cuisine. And their prices are quite high too!

I had high expectations for this Greek restaurant, but unfortunately I was disappointed. The food was an absolute disaster - everything tasted bland, the ingredients didn't seem fresh, and the meat was dry and tough. The so-called "homemade" specialties had nothing to do with real Greek cuisine. The gyros were particularly bad, tasting more like cardboard than spicy meat. The side dishes were also prepared carelessly: the fries were soggy, the rice was tasteless, and the tzatziki had hardly any garlic or seasoning. In addition, the food was served lukewarm - an absolute no-go. The service was also disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested, orders were forgotten, and we had to wait forever for drinks. I would have expected a lot more for the prices - but even for half the price the food wouldn't have been good. All in all, this was a failure. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

Fish dish not a good idea, it seems tough, put from the freezer in a steamer. Meat has just seen the grill and that is the end of it. It's a good thing the wine was tasty and the still water. That we could rinse it away a bit.🫣

It's not suitable for entertaining because it's crowded and very loud inside. Without a reservation it is difficult to get a place. But the food is delicious and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The food also came very quickly. The boss was super unfriendly, but luckily he has nice employees.

Echt bijzonder het eten is er goed en zeker voor die prijs, ze zijn er erg vriendelijk je krijgt ouzo bij binnenkomst en het gaat er gemoedelijk aan toe. Het eten is goed. En je gelooft je ogen niet maar mensen stonden er te wachten voor een plek. Dat zegt ook iets over deze mooie Griekse eetgelegenheid. Zeer tevreden.

Bij het afrekenen hebben we aangegeven dat het slecht was. Wat ik eigenlijk nog wel het ergste vond is de reactie van de serveerster, zij haalde haar schouders op en zei verder niets. Toen ik haar vertelde dat wij de dag erna voor 9 personen hebben gereserveerd en ik deze wilde annuleren vanwege de slechte ervaring, was het antwoord … oké Dat was het……. Het interesseert ze niks!

What a terrible experience! I placed a simple order: a pita gyros with only meat and tzatziki. How difficult can that be? Apparently too difficult for this restaurant. What I got was a soggy pita with a lousy amount of tzatziki and a strip of meat. The meat? Dry, tough, and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for hours. No taste, no care, nothing. I would rather pay €0.75 more in Germany and get a pita bread that tastes more than enough and also more if there is a surplus of meat in the pita bread. I won't be coming back here again. Shame !!!

We hebben vooral veel gegeten. Het is echt meer een eethuis (zoals ze zichzelf noemen), dan een restaurant. Groot, druk, maar wel aandacht besteed aan de inrichting. Vlees had helaas iets te lang op de grill gelegen, waardoor het erg droog was.

So schlecht haben wir seit Jahren nirgendwo auf der Welt gegessen! Vorspeise (Teigtaschen mit Spinat und Käse) kamen gleichzeitig mit dem Hauptgericht, waren lauwarm und gummiartig. Das Hauptgericht (vis schotel) war trocken - alle Fischfilets offenbar längere Zeit warmgehalten. Der Salat hatte keinerlei Dressing. Am Schlimmsten war aber der Umgang mit unserer Beschwerde. Wir sollten woanders essen gehen, schlug der unfreundliche Kellner vor. Kein Rabatt, kein Schnaps aufs Haus, kein Verständnis. Das war mal ein ordentliches Restaurant. Schade.

We were back outside at 5, a quarter to 6, after starter and main course. Lukewarm ouzo, gyros cold and tough, and worst of all: the coke zero was fake and already poured into a glass brrr. Don't eat and said above. Nothing was done with it. I have eaten at many Greek places, but this one is the worst. Definitely not recommended.

Gearriveerd 17.00, bestelde giros met calamaris. Kreeg droge en opgewarmde giros van de dag ervoor, de calemaris smaakte vissig, wat wil zeggen oud en uit de vriezer. Dit alles nog afgezien van nep cola (zonder flesje) in glazen met ijs erin uit de keuken.

My friend and I ate there again at the weekend. It was very crowded and we had to wait about a quarter of an hour for our table. We were provided with ouzo. When we had our table, we each got a glass of wine and another 3 ouzo on the house because we had to wait for our table. The food was fantastic as always and yeah what can I say? The service at Troje was TOP as always!

Have eaten here several times! Cozy atmosphere and nice staff. We had a starter and a main course. As a starter we had a warm Mezze dish. Very tasty if you want to taste everything, it just could have been a bit more. Gyros, suflaki and the steak were nice and tender! We will come back here more often. Compared to other Greeks it is not very expensive. Price-quality ratio was excellent!

Wat een geweldige ervaring, van hoe ver je komt ga naar dit restaurant ( eethuis ) wat een geweldige bediening en het eten geweldig, nog nooit zoiets gegeten. Ook mijn kleinkinderen waren enthousiast , een aanrader voor iedereen

Too much went wrong to want to come back here: - The tiramisu was served frozen. When we said something about it, the waitress took it back to the kitchen, cut off a new piece, put it in the microwave (!!) and brought a new piece of tiramisu, again frozen. - We ordered mayonnaise with the fries and got fries sauce instead. This was served on the table in the plastic squeeze bottle from the supermarket. This also applied to the salt and pepper. - The soft drink is served in glasses instead of bottles and is not an A-brand (Pepsi or Coca-Cola) - salad was ordered without tomato and served with tomato (with an unappetizing sour dressing on top). It was not a success. - They didn't keep an eye on us at all whether we wanted to drink or order something. - She really pushed to get the table cleared again. When more than half of the group had finished eating, the waiter started clearing plates, while the rest were still eating. Very indecent. And it doesn't free up the table any faster. - It's a fairly large restaurant, so when it started to fill up there was a lot of noise - One of the children accidentally threw a month's worth of napkins and cutlery on the floor while the waiter was standing next to us. We didn't get any new items, and ended up eating with the cutlery that had been on the floor. No disaster and of course we could have asked for new cutlery ourselves, but it was not exactly a service-oriented restaurant... Are there also positive things? Yes, most of us liked the food (not everyone!) and the prices weren't too bad.

A number of points why we will never eat here again. 1. When making a telephone reservation, being addressed as 'maid' when arriving shows that the table has not been reserved. 2. Upon arrival we are asked how long we will stay. After we were unable to answer this directly, the question was asked: "Don't you discuss this in advance?" 3. Ordered Cassis, which is made with lemonade syrup and spa red 4. In less than an hour we had a starter, main course and round of drinks outside. Starter was delivered five minutes after we ordered. 5. Food was lukewarm and the vegetables on the plate were even cold. All in all it seems more like a fast food restaurant than a decent Greek one.
