Extra ordinary staff and rich food!

Wonderful place with wonderful food. Amazing lasagna, magical gnocchi and wonderful sangria... I was in heaven. 😉😊👍 Those who give less than 5 points, you have no heart and no taste. 😁😁😁

Booked a table for our last dinner in Amsterdam as the restaurant kept popping up in google reviews, and the menu looked great, however if you do get set upstairs I would recommend to reconsider. It was gloomy with the windows shut, service was non existence and there was no atmosphere at all. It looked amazing downstairs but if you were sat upstairs… it felt off. We ended up leaving after 10 minutes and tried elsewhere. It was just unfortunate.

Had a delicious meal today! The salami pizza was perfect: a thin, crispy base with just the right amount of cheese and salami. The pasta bolognese was also great, fresh and tasty. The service was fast and friendly, a real plus. Nice surprise that a group of Ajax hooligans also came by, which created a pleasant and lively atmosphere. All in all a great evening with delicious food and a good vibe. Definitely recommended, I would love to come back here again!

Me and my partner came across this restaurant at a busy period. They were very quick and happy to serve us considering we didn’t have a booking. Within a few minutes, we were greeted with our drinks and our food order was taken. The food was ready not long after - the Carbonara was incredible and I cannot recommend enough that dish. The service and food was outstanding - we even enjoyed seeing the birthday celebrations on a table next to us. The staff were so lovely. We cannot recommend enough and will definitely be coming back when we visit Amsterdam again!

We loved the carbonara, it was delicious. The pizza, average. They served the food very quickly. The service was very friendly, Alex and Inma took great care of us, they were very attentive and pleasant. I recommend the place without a doubt.

Top restaurant! My friend had chosen this restaurant online because of the high reviews. I was afraid it would be a tourist trap because of its location, but luckily it wasn't. The menu is extensive. I chose the Carbonara pasta and it tasted very good. For dessert I had the cheesecake with fresh strawberries. At times it was cold in the restaurant because the large doors were open to the outside. We were helped well by the staff. The service is very involved in the restaurant. While dining the main course we were asked by 5 different employees if it tasted good haha, it sure did!

Wow. I haven't seen such a good Italian in a long time. Had lasagne and tagliatelle. It was incredibly delicious. Hardly any waiting time, very friendly staff. Even though the store is well stocked, you still have time for a chat. The food was hot and tasted fresh. At the end there was a limoncello on the house. The prices are completely reasonable for the quality and taste. Gladly again at any time!

Fast service (the menu stated that my oven dish would take a little longer, but it arrived very quickly after we had finished the starter), cozy part of Amsterdam, great that they also have Sangria on the menu and nice that we got free limoncello! It's nice that there are also a number of different types of dishes on the menu that other restaurants don't have. That makes the restaurant unique! Some minor downsides: - We were quickly asked what we wanted to eat. The menu is quite large and there are many tasty things on it, and we also wanted both a starter and a main course, so we weren't sure yet. The next time they came again quite quickly to ask even though we didn't know yet. - The oven dishes (cannelloni and melanzane alla parmigiana) were delicious, but are served in a very hot plate/oven dish. My friend had already finished his dish while I was still eating. I think it could be put on a different plate so that you don't have to wait long and puff on the delicious food.

Made a last minute reservation (a few hours before). We had a great time here with our group of 7 this past Friday for dinner. Everyone loved their food and the waitstaff were so friendly and kind. It seemed very much like a family-run type business. We got a bottle of organic Italian red wine. I can’t remember the name but it was delicious. Dishes we tried: pear-walnut bruschetta, Quattro formagi pizza, lasagna, eggplant lasagna, pesto pasta, and another pasta dish I can’t recall. Everyone really enjoyed their food. We lingered in conversation for a long time, and no-one pressured us to leave, in fact, the owner (?) would come over to chat with us sporadically. All-in-all, a great experience and happy bellies.

Very nice restaurant, would highly recommend! It was a very busy night but Sasha still managed to do a wonderful job in serving our table. She made the dinner even better with her professionalism, welcoming smile, and kindness. For dinner, we had both Spaghetti Carbonara and Bolognese. The Carbonara was really good and creamy, would recommend! The Bolognese was good but I expected more flavour and a thicker sauce, but still enjoyable.

Our family of four with 2 young adults dined here this week. Very friendly staff. We ordered a lot of food. Four or five different appetizers and 4 different main courses. Three desserts. Wine. Lots of variety on the menu and we were not disappointed. Favorite meal of the trip for our sons! The waiter offered us complimentary limoncellos at the end of our meal.

I had made an online reservation. We were a little early but there was already a table for us. Instead of pasta or pizza, I went for the gnocchi. Very fine soft gnocchi, which almost melted in your mouth, in a delicious sauce with lamb. My guest's spaghetti bolognese was also good, although the portion was large. All in all a nice experience; very friendly staff, fast service and clean toilets. The only point of criticism: the outdated lists with movie stills… that is actually no longer possible.

To be honest, it was a 5 star review just for the service, before the main dish. After we got the food, I still believe the 5 star was worth due to the food. I got the gorganzola gnocchi, and I can recommend it.

Amazing restaurant with absolutely wonderful staff who serves some the best dishes. The food is tasty and very inclusive with a lot of gluten free and vegetarian options. Very welcoming to folks of all ages. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend and revisit.

The Verona is one of the most beautiful , warm pizzerias of the city. The menu is value for money. The inside is very cosy & warm , the people that they work there are very helpful, smiling but most of all they make you to feel like home.. Our compliments of cource to mpatzanakis (he understand Greek!!!!)

I went here looking at all the reviews from Google. Wrong choice. We ordered a red sangria, Margarita pizza, insalata misto, and frutti di mare pasta. The sangria was mostly juice, the pizza was the equivalent of cafeteria pizza, the salad was barely edible, no dressing offered, the pasta was factory noodles and canned sauce.

Incredible homemade Italian food!

In February, we returned after eating there in December. Food is delicious, staff is so friendly; they even remembered us from the last time we came there. 😊 We will definitely return.

Really surprisingly delicious food! We read the good reviews and hoped that it would really be the case. Now for sure! Super friendly and attentive service too. I had the fiocchi filled with cheese and pear with gorgonzola sauce and walnuts. Very tasteful! I think the plate could have been a little bigger, but I was satisfied.
