That one star is way too high. The food was just dry rice, like in Somali prisons. The service was absolutely ridiculous; the all-you-can-eat menu contained only dry rice with a lump of tomato sauce from World War II. This restaurant literally consists of jelly jelly because you have to get out of here. Their name isn't a lie. Plus, the woman forced us to pay cash or transfer a Tikkie. Plus, the food was super expensive. I'll never eat here again.

Update after restaurant owners' response: Showing up after the first time was satisfaction, the third time was to give a small business the benefit of doubt after you had taken stuff off the menu and we thought maybe it was just a bad day. Thank you for confirming that you purposefully don't put out enough meat. No one asked you to add skewers ever second. Even if you were to add one every minute, it would take a room of 20 people 20 minutes to all get one. And even that never happened. Now if you think that is a good deal for 20 euros, you should reconsider. We frequent the Foodmarket which is 100% halal and includes drinks for about 45 euros. Meats of your choice off the grill every 5 minutes for dozens of people. Not to mention that they never run out of food. I never wanted to compare your small business to a big one, but since you have mentioned I would be better of visiting one, I thought I'd give you a clear example just so you know somewhere in the world a better deal definitely exists. And this is just one of the examples. Thank you for responding the way you did. Now everyone know how you reply to critisicm. ----------------------------------------- This was the 3rd time we went. The first time was great. Every time thereafter, they had taken something off two options of the already small buffet. The meat was being added two skewers at a time. People were seriously thinking about leaving and have dinner elsewhere. Not to mention the people who were seated near the buffet station and clearing the meat as soon as it arrived. At one instance they even asked the chef to just hand their table the skewers, which he refused to do. I feel like they aren't able to deal with a bigger crowd (and it was not even crowded) compared to the first time. So for us, this place won't be a spot in the near future, especially not during ramadan.

Saw the place on tiktok and I was very excited to try the place. But when I went there, there was not much items available and was a bit disappointed by it. It was nothing like the tiktok, for 23 euros it was still not worth it. The food tasted okay, but the service was definitely the best thing in the restaurant.

We arrived at the restaurant. The food was decent, but everything was literally empty; you had to scrape the leftovers off the container with a spoon. We left after half an hour, having eaten nothing but rice and yogurt. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Afghan food is delicious, but this restaurant is a disgrace. I've often heard negative things about the restaurant, so I decided to try it anyway. I should have listened to the reviews more carefully. I reported this to the owner, but he seemed very dismissive. Never again! Save your money and eat somewhere else.

It was an all-you-can-eat setup, but I tried to be mindful by taking small portions and going back for more only if I was still hungry. Unfortunately, not everyone did the same—some piled their plates high and ended up wasting food. I went to check for more food when i finished mine multiple times, the meat and chicken trays were completely empty. They weren’t refilled for quite a while—around 30 to 40 minutes later - which made me wonder if it was intentional, perhaps to make sure guests are full and therefore are not going to take more. We went here for an all-you-can-eat meal (1.5 hours), but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The food trays were often empty, and even if they were refilled, it was so small that it was gone again immediately. When we mentioned this, we were told it wasn't "that busy"—but that's no excuse, of course. If you can't serve enough, you should only offer this concept at peak times. Furthermore, the food that was available was often cold. We're still suffering from diarrhea. Unfortunately, we won't be back.

Cold food they don’t refill the food don’t let social media mislead you. Food doesn’t taste good either.

Nothing was replenished. Everything was empty. We ate cold leftovers. The staff doesn't walk around to ask what you want to drink or greet people and ask how things work. One family simply sat there for 10 minutes and walked out after going to the server to ask.

You just have to read the reviews; it's definitely not worth eating here. The food is poor, and social media is misleading you into eating here. You ate half your plate and left immediately. And the service is so bad, how can you open a restaurant like that?

I went to Yalla Yalla today after seeing a TikTok video. That video made us go all the way from The Hague to Amsterdam to try the oh-so-delicious food from TikTok for ourselves. Upon arrival, we weren't helped immediately, and we had to wait to even hear if there was room, even though we had a reservation. Then we had to wait for a table to leave before we could be seated. Despite the restaurant being full, we were really disappointed with the food. We think it's more because we're not used to the spices and flavors, like lycee seeds in the rice, which makes it sweet. We took a few bites of the dishes we ordered, and since it's all-you-can-eat, you don't just walk back with soup. You take a little of everything, so after trying everything and genuinely not liking any of it, we asked a staff member if we could avoid paying the full price, since we barely ate anything. And that we were willing to pay at least half the price per person. The employee refused to hear about it, literally saying that wasn't his problem and refusing to call his boss. He also made it clear several times that we would pay the full amount no matter what, because, again, it wasn't his fault that we only had a few appetizers and a drink "because we had already filled our plates." After arguing with one of us and standing over us intimidatingly, half of us wanted to leave, and the employee blocked the exit while I was talking to another employee who had no idea what was going on. He then told me it was fine if we only paid for our drinks. We complied, and we will never go back. After that, we went to another restaurant, Guru of India, and no joke, it was a 10/10. Upon entering, you immediately receive a warm welcome. The atmosphere is truly unusually cozy, and the owner was also very kind. Yes, I will definitely go back! This was my storytime and if you see this don't do it, don't go a snack bar has more class than this place no idea how it works have a great evening!

Online, it looks nice and extensive, but in reality, it's a huge disappointment. The chicken was dry and tasteless, and none of the dishes had much flavor. The service was also disappointing: some of the staff were downright unfriendly, although there were a few exceptions who did try their best. For the price and the expectations it creates, this restaurant is absolutely not worth it. It's a shame, because we were really looking forward to a pleasant evening. I really don't recommend this, and judging by the actual reviews, this concept is misleading.

We had miscalculated the time, but were immediately welcomed in in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. This warm welcome alone made a great first impression. The food was consistently delicious, fresh, and lovingly prepared, and the service was attentive, warm, and simply pleasant all around. You can tell the passion that goes into the work here. If you have a reservation you have to wait 15 minutes at a table at the bar, finally we get a table it is one for 4 people while we clearly have a reservation for 5 ... okay we go to the table and walk to the open buffet and now here it comes a worn and licked buffet I can better grab in a garbage can, we did not eat anything and said goodbye the staff does not care much because they also look at you like bye

The all-you-can-eat concept is good, but small details could improve the quality of the place. For example, once a serving tray is empty, it should be removed from the display, and the ladles or tongs provided for serving should not be dirty. I think that for €19.50 via Social Deals app it was fine as it is, but with a bit of extra attention the tidiness could be improved, which would make a big difference to the overall experience.

We had brunch here during the weekend. Everything is homemade and tasty. Milk tea and normal tea are also included. It is a very good idea for having brunch here in a lazy saturday or sunday.

Really lovely place for authentic food. I have never had Afghan food before and I was impressed. The atmosphere felt like a home rather a restaurant with comfortable floor seating as well as tables. For 23€ you definitely get your moneys worth. However, it is not guaranteed that all food will be available or hot as can quickly run out if busy. I really loved all the food options and the baklava and tea were delicious too. Thank you!

Wow, I can find different foods here, the famous Afghan Foods, Arabic and persian. The best Kabobs, Qabuli Palaw, Grilled steak, Fish, The best Humus with fresh tandoori bread. Nice and good place

We had made a reservation for a birthday party, but upon arrival, there was no table ready for us. We had to arrange everything ourselves before we could even be seated. The food was extremely disappointing – absolutely not worth the price, not even €10. The meat was very limited: only a few small pieces were brought, barely enough for the entire restaurant. Many dishes were simply gone, and the buffet was rather poor. Furthermore, there was no service. All in all, a huge disappointment. This restaurant seems to thrive on popularity, but it doesn't live up to its name at all. You'll get more value for your money by getting fries than this disappointing open buffet!!!! And it was hot inside; they turned off the air conditioning!

I couldn't rate it higher or lower because, to be honest, I didn't want to be unfair and I ended up not eating anything. The pictures show kebab and other delicious dishes. I went to the restaurant and it turned out to be an open buffet, but I didn't like the food options. They said they no longer serve grilled food.

Yesterday Monday I was in Amsterdam with my wife and we thought we would eat Afghan food and we went to Yalla Yalla but unfortunately had a very bad experience! On their website and on the door it says in large letters that the buffet starts at 17:30 and we were there at 17:30 and when we entered no one welcomed us as a customer or explained how it works so we went to get plates ourselves and suddenly a lady with a headscarf came to us and in a very unfriendly way she said that the buffet would only open at 18:00 so we sat down and waited again and again at 6 o'clock we got plates and she came back to say that the food was not ready yet! And not even apologizing no very dry and unfriendly she said "food is not ready yet" finally at 18:15 we were allowed to eat. After eating all the restaurants ask if the food tasted good but these people really do not know what customer friendliness is and what service is!!! There is a very negative atmosphere because of that one woman. They really need to learn how to deal with customers.

[UPDATE]: Had mistakenly added that tax was added on top of total amount; that's not the case. Went there yesterday with my family (toddler 2yo) after seeing this so many times on reels. And believe me, the reels are too much hyped (you won't even find all the items on a day, as shown in the reels). The hostess was very polite and sweet. Loved the flavour of their meat balls (or Kofte, as we say it), and was probably the best item in the buffet (€23/person, eat as much as you want). They had plenty of items in vegetarian too, unfortunately, not something I'm keen about. Most of the non-veg items were out quickly though, and it took them so long to refill that I had finished my dinner with vegetarian stuff already. Didn't like their homemade lemonade, which was €4,50. When paying the bill, the guy charged us €12 for our kid, which was a shock. This was despite the hostess telling us earlier that the kid eats for free. I'm pissed because my kid is a fussy eater and he barely ate anything. A 5.5% additional tax on top of total cost was a turn off too. Given that I also had to pay €7,50/hour for the parking nearby, I don't find this place worth visiting on a weekday, given that I love another place nearby for such items (Manoto Restaurant).

The worst food i had eaten in my life.. Never go again all the food are cold and taste is below than average, no drink only tea which is also worst. And about the dessert they made ferni which is very bad and the bakhlava which is without nuts it's empty. Not recommended. It's a honest review.

I had seen a few videos about this restaurant and decided to give it a try with my family. The prices were okay, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The variety was limited — just one chicken dishe. One item was labelled as chicken kebabs, but I’m quite certain it wasn’t a chicken kebab it was beef. The 750 ml bottle of water was almost 7 euros. What really disappointed me was being charged €12 for my 4-year-old child, who only ate three falafels. The way the restaurant is advertised gave the impression of a much broader and higher-quality experience, but in reality, it didn’t deliver. Overall, it felt a bit overhyped and not really worth the price.

I recommend this place to everyone, my friends and I had a great time and I will definitely go back soon.
