Absolut perfection. High-quality ingredients and well prepared. The tuna burger had the best tuna steak I've ever eaten in my life, and the fish and chips were massive and hot from the frier. The sauces probably homemade, just complemented everything so well. Super friendly staff and fast service. Lots of locals come in for pick up. Nice atmosphere and very clean. I'll bring my Italian parents to try the herring.

I visited ZeeDuivel to grab a quick lunch after working out. The man at the counter was very friendly and helpful in translating all of the menu items for me (as I don’t speak Dutch) and recommending specific dishes and quantities that would be ideal for my meal. I ended up getting the Tanjin (tuna) Tataki and the Gamba (shrimp) Spazje. Both were absolutely incredible. The shrimp was buttery, sautéed in onions, and came with a side of their homemade sauce (which complimented it well). The tuna was seared to perfection and lightly seasoned. Overall, it was very light and refreshing which was exactly what I was seeking. The tuna came with a side of soy sauce, a bit of seaweed salad, and wasabi. Honestly, this is probably the best tuna I’ve had in Amsterdam (and I actively seek our raw/seared tuna weekly). I would highly highly highly recommend this restaurant. How there is not a line out the door of the restaurant, I do not know. However, I do know that I will definitely be coming back here soon.

Very tasty fish dishes. We treated ourselves to the tuna burger and classic fish and chips. Everything is freshly prepared. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Nice atmosphere. Great!

The food was amazing, fresh and tasteful, and it was all the recommendation of Lars. We had the makarel and the eel and two types of salad in addition to seared crusted tuna. The place is super clean and the whole team was friendly. We left full and satisfied. Would definitely come back if I get the chance.

I have ordered some fish here and it's ridiculous for the fish what I ordered I didn't whas what t supposed to be honest with me all over the place and I don't think I ever would buy here fish again the other fish store in kinkerstraat it's a real fishmenn and they are really professional in helping your wishes about fish and the prices are a. Lot better than mister zeeduivel so please don't get scammed by this fish store

High quality fish, cooked in amazing way

Herring is delicious. Inexpensive oysters (from 2.5E). Cosy. They cook very quickly. Minus a star because they made a “mistake” and added a drink to the check that I didn’t take. Fortunately, I returned, showed the receipt, they apologized and returned the money. It's worth visiting, but check your receipt.

Very good food, if you are not very familiar with the language you have a counter where you can choose. Very good service, good prices and very nice place. I would return.

Herring, eel, and kibbling are really delicious. The smoked eel is really delicious, so I recommend you try it.

Great fresh fish! I often come here for kibbeling and it is always fantastic! The staff is always friendly and you will be helped quickly. Sometimes I take the kibbeling mix of kibbeling with shrimp and squid rings. Also delicious! They also have fresh fish salads and other delicious delicacies! Highly recommended!!

This is an incredible place with fresh fish and extremely helpful staff! We had a large plate of fresh kibbeling (cod nuggets) plus a smoked eel sandwich. Both were delicious! No more soggy kibbeling from elsewhere that's not freshly made in front of you. To top it off, the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming! Highly recommended for fresh, delicious seafood plus customer service! Wish we had found this place earlier in our trip to visit several times.

We were most welcomed at this friendly local fish shop. If you are a seafood lover, you definitely have to try tuna burger. It was my last day in Amsterdam and it surely did make my day! I also recommend it to Koreans. The staff were very friendly even to foreigners, and while we were sitting and eating, all the people who came in were locals.

A PHENOMENAL place. We took the tuna slices as a predish and kibbeling with fries for the main course and both was super delicious. The staff is very easygoing, chilled, and helpful when you need advice. This place is a total must-go in Amsterdam. Love it!

Great place for quality fish! The only thing I don't like is the herring that's already been cleaned and cut their tails of. It dries out and it effects the flavour. I have no idea why they do that. For the rest the quality is better then most other fish shops in the neighborhood. "De Volendammer" on the Kinkerstraat beats the herring by a mile though

We were welcomed and offered help with the menu immediately. We ordered a tuna burger and a mixed fish grill with fries. Impressed by how tasty the food is and the size of the portions. Also pleased by the generous supply of sauces. So many places are a bit tight but here we were given plenty. Highly recommended!

Really helpful staff, absolutely amazing fish. We had a plate full of a little bit of this and that, I'm not sure it was a menu item, but the guy was happy to just prepare a plate of what we fancied and it was all life-changingly delicious. Super highly recommended.

As a solo diner, I need small portions of everything and the server at the counter was very kind - she basically helped me order a fabulous meal which I could finish😀 The kibbeling was fresh and juicy and the smoked eel was delicate and so flavourful. I wanted to try the samphire and she offered to stirfry it with onions and one skewer of sweet prawns. All in all a fab meal in a charming neighbourhood.

Everything is delicious! Love the grilled Gamba's, love the salmon, love the fishsoup, love the oysters, love the sencha ipa beer, love the tuna tataki, love the fish to be prepared in the oven, and above all: BEST KIBBELING IN TOWN!

A lot of fresh fish for a great price When visiting the Kinkerbuurt in the old West of Amsterdam on a Saturday afternoon, I finally decided to enter the Zeeduivel. Every time I walk by, the place is packed. This time was no different so I walked around for another hour and came back ay a less busy hour. I ordered the fish and chips since I had built up quite the appetite. The staff was friendly, I paid 10 euros and had a seat. When my food was ready I was shocked to see the portion I received. I received a huge plate of freshly baked fries and pieces of fish, accompanied by 2 sauces of my choice. The fish was great, crispy on the outside and delicate and fresh on the inside. I loved it! The only downside for me was that it was way to big a portion for me. I remained full until the morning after. I’ll definitely go back to try more items from the menu!

High quality fried or fresh fishes. Not even expensive when compared to Amsterdam standards. I recommend ordering take-away as the room is small.

A lovely seafood shop that has all the basics like tuna and salmon but also a bunch of things that you might not normally find. As well, they also offer pre-prepared meals and fresh meals - soups for instance and paella - with various other seafood related side items. Everything I've had has been great and it's been nice to try the various options they have.
