Lidl is the best for fruits and vegetables...! But certainly not for bread. That's Vink Bakery! A household name for years! Delicious rolls, bread, pastries, etc. And always friendly staff!
I do not find Roti Mahal cheap and, more importantly, not customer-oriented / customer-unfriendly.
I had ordered Roti Chicken Fillet Special.
Uber Eats had a special offer, and I wanted to order food at two different times: via Uber Eats the next day and via Thuisbezorgd.
Everything went flawlessly via Thuisbezorgd, but with Uber Eats, the planning went wrong. I noticed the mistake in time and called Roti Mahal directly within 10 minutes. No, it couldn't be changed or modified; you just have to call Uber Eats.
I ended up picking it up myself, although €2.99 was charged to the bill with the payment. Furthermore, the chicken contained bones and no egg, and was much less substantial.
The meal via Thuisbezorgd, where they apparently didn't even know it was me anymore, contained more, did have an egg, and there wasn't a single bone in the chicken. I don't think what they did at Roti Mahal was very smart:
1. I won't order from them anymore,
2. My experience with them is now online and readable by everyone.
Not a smart, customer-friendly move on their part..
I do understand why they are reacting to this in this way. What I typed is true, and I wasn't being unfriendly.
Saturday morning 8:15 am
Me: Do you also have hot rolls?
She: We’re going to put those in the oven in a bit to finish baking. Oh, you want them now? We do have currant buns.
The added value of this bake-at-home bakery is hard to find…
Waited 60 minutes for 3 pizzas and a portion of spaghetti with tuna. All 4 different dishes tasted the same: the same spice, a mixture of oregano and marjoram. Not for us again, too bad
Very poorly topped healthy sandwich without lettuce, quite thick chunks of tomato, and everything on it was spread across one half of the bun.
I have had top-notch sandwiches in the past, but this one was not worth repeating.
The bakery is declining rapidly in quality; the bread is dry. The pastries don't seem fresh either. A complaint was filed, but the employees haven't done anything further about it.
I once got Moroccan tea and msemen (pancakes) here, the tea was so cold they might as well have given me water, and the pancakes were hard and dried out. Never again!!
No bakery for the working man. I've been here two days in a row and no white rolls. The lady behind the counter says, "Yes, it's already 3 pm, but I have to work until 3:30 pm." So no white rolls, so I say, "Then just order for tomorrow," but no, that's not possible because it has to be before 1 pm pfffff.
I called and then called back, but no one answered. I received spam. I have no idea what this is about because I have no debts or overdue payments. So go f yourself and stop harassing people! -12
I've been a loyal customer here for about five years. My companions and I have always enjoyed ordering here, but it's remarkable how a customer experience can change in an instant.
Today, I ordered the Loaded Parmesan Fries with two other women. I noticed that the fries were actually lukewarm. My mother had the same experience; her fries were even cold. Then she decided to return her container and tell her the fries were cold.
The employee suggested reheating them in the oven or preparing a new dish. My mother didn't care, as long as the fries were warm. What was even more remarkable was that the owner in question came to the table and made quite a fuss about my mother lying.
There was no way the fries could be cold. Then he said, "Try it!" Yes, gosh, those fries are indeed warm now, just out of the fryer. The gentleman was so red-faced he was practically on the verge of exploding. We confronted him about his highly inappropriate behavior.
He couldn't quite get it out of his head and brought up all sorts of things: the highlight of the evening was definitely his mention of Thuisbezorgd. That's why we don't deliver anymore, because then people complain about cold fries. Well: 1) What's that to me? 2) Okay, so apparently we're not the only ones.
I told him he's lost at least three customers. I'll never order food from here again. Quick calculation: fries for €8.95 each, we came almost every week and almost always ordered three portions. 3 x €8.95 = €26.85, €26.85 x €52 = €1,396.2.
Do the math, or in this case, your profit. This is how much The Loaded Foodbar is now losing in annual revenue. And all because he couldn't handle the criticism about cold fries.
Got a delicious sausage roll, the staff were excellent (they even held the door open for me), kudos! The rest of the (extensive) selection looked delicious too, but we'll save that for next time.
