The croissants are really terrible. You're better off going to Lidl for normal croissants. The cheese croissants were absolutely depressingly bad. Also, the sourdough bread with walnuts didn't seem to taste like sourdough. There were also 0 walnuts in it. I am never coming here again.

I don't usually do restaurant reviews unless it's a very good or very bad experience, otherwise I'd be doing this all the time, so I usually focus on the hotels I visit.We were at Café Garçon at the end of August 2026, and it was undoubtedly the worst experience of the dozens of restaurants we visited during our month-long trip through Amsterdam, London, the Turkish Riviera, Istanbul, and Madrid. My wife wanted to eat French food near the Concertgebouw before a concert we were attending, so we took the opportunity to make a reservation there. The first surprise was paying 40 euros for the reservation, under penalty of losing it if we didn't show up for any reason—something I did for the first time in my life and which I deeply regret and will never do again. Secondly, the service was terrible. There were things on the menu that tempted us but were only available until a certain time. We sat down to eat shortly after that time, and they refused to serve them to us, perhaps justifiably, but with an absolute lack of customer service. The food was mediocre; our onion soups were mediocre, and my steak tartare ranged from average to mediocre. It tasted good, but the portion was small and lacked... Visually appealing. The fries were from a bag, and I think they gave me what was left at the bottom because they were so small and thin. I remembered those fabulous Steak cuts I used to sell in my restaurant. The bread they call a baguette, which costs 7 euros, was just a few slices of stale bread, nothing like a French baguette. They didn't even replace it when the food arrived. I have experience owning a restaurant for several years in Miami Beach, and I know exactly what I'm talking about.In short, I definitely don't recommend going there.

What scammers! The currant buns were tough and small. And all that for €1.50 (!) each!? Everything has gotten more expensive, but on the last day of the year, I felt the most ripped off in 2025. Never again!

Mediocre snack bar. It was a busier evening, so it takes a while before you can order. But unfortunately, paying the bill also took longer. A shame, it used to be different here. The fries were fine otherwise, snacks too, but you'd better not order a schnitzel...

Last Friday morning, I was very kindly helped by a friendly young man who made excellent coffee. Despite the line, he remained calm and polite. The coffee here is better than at Coffee Company or Albert Heijn.

Damn....often spoiled junk via Thuisbezorgd, but these people are really incredibly good! I was able to eat the pasta for 3 days...you don't see that anywhere...please...keep the quality as it is now...that it has to take 6 hours before we can eat, I choose that, no problem at all!

Opening hours are wrong. We were met with a closed door.

Always a pleasant place to stay

The food is good... personally, I had beef tenderloin with rice and a chicken spring roll, and it was very tasty. The atmosphere is okay in itself, but the staff could be a bit more cheerful.

Couldn't find anywhere open after a long day riding, folk at a nearby bar recommend tha sphinx, and it was superb, just what we needed.

Neat and friendly people for heavy work.

I was just given croissants and a cheese stick that are three days old. That's really unacceptable, so old and stale.

Only open at 8:30 on Saturday...ridiculous for a bakery. There were already several people waiting outside at 8:00. I went elsewhere to get our bread. It's strange that no one from management is pushing for an earlier opening.

Dont order the pasta bolognese, its really gross I liked the kids menu with chiken nuggets, both the fries and the nuggets were perfectly salted The deliver came right on time
