I had a good meal this time (in Zwolle), but my previous experience in Harderwijk wasn't as good. Generally, the La Place restaurants were somewhat better when they were part of V&D.
Febo stands for quality in my mind, but yesterday in Dronten, I was hit hard by that:
The noodle dish was inedible, the satay sauce unrecognizable as satay sauce, and absolutely not tasty.
The employee politely asked if it tasted good. Our "well, no" was met with a "too bad!" with a smug smile. If you can't handle honest answers, don't ask them.
Never again.
It took a very long time for our order to be ready, while there were hardly any customers. Customers could not find the entrance either, because the door that turned out to be the entrance had a sign saying "No Entry".
It turned out that the return of the deposit did not go well. Gone euro.
You can't get in with a walker or wheelchair anyway, because of the high step. The staff mainly have a lot of fun with each other. I grant them, but please also show some interest in the customers 🫤.
Fortunately, there are enough alternatives in the Koperwiek.
DJing is definitely interesting. Corny Dutch music and poor transitions. Always far too packed to stand anywhere, usually get sent to the subpar upstairs area. Vibes are not my thing but obviously a bar that does the job.
I ordered a Turkish pizza with cheese, then called to ask if everything was on the Turkish pizza (including sauces), and the gentleman said yes. It arrived lukewarm, without cheese (?), without sauce, and a piece in the Turkish pizza was badly burnt. I wasted my 9 euros (don't forget the delivery costs). SAVE YOUR MONEY. I was really hungry, but now I regret spending my money on this :( I called many times afterwards, but they just don't answer anymore. If I pay for something, I expect exactly what I chose. What a scam.
Got takeout yesterday and it was delicious. Only, at the office, we discovered something had gone wrong: the cheese soufflé hadn't been ordered, and the peanut sauce came with the fries instead of mayo. After calling the office, they delivered it anyway. That's what you call good service! They're always kind and hard-working <3
A Greek/Italian restaurant that maintains classic styles. You see, taste, and smell the tradition and culture, and it's certainly a place with a reasonable price and excellent service. After eating here over 10 times, I can say the experience is worth every penny. Portions are generous, the service is hospitable, and the atmosphere feels like a journey into the past.
We had a delicious High Tea here with a group of 8 people. First, delicious sandwiches with healthy fillings on hearty bread, followed by divine scones and all kinds of tasty sweets. Unlimited tea. Attentive service. The indoor room is sometimes noisy, but we had a great, spacious place to sit.
